- "Nice friendly pub to the west of Huddersfield. Only have 5? rooms to let but very clean with bath as well as a shower (nice to have the option). Good selection of of beers, great staff and food available (even though I didn't get time to eat there). A Co-op supermarket and chippy across the road and other takeaways within a stones throw. A bus stop is directly outside for regular services into town or out to Slaithwaite, Halifax etc.(across the road), but beware that nothing runs much after 11pm and it's a stiff uphill climb from the bus station (about a mile). Greenhead Park is halfway and well worth a visit. Holmfirth is 30+ minutes by bus and the 232 bus will take you to the mining museum at Overton (get off at Reindeer Inn).
