Groton was once known as the “Typewriter Capital of the World.” This typewriter manufacturing company became Smith Corona Marchant in later years and closed manufacturing in Groton in the 1980s. The space
Treman Lodge rooms have a spacious and clean mid-century design. Each queen bedroom has a private bathroom with tub / shower combo and a large picture window that overlooks grass, trees, and bird feeders in season. Air conditioning, natural bath products, stainless steel Coleman cooler, and complimentary Wifi. Dog friendly.

These spacious 325 sq. ft. rooms have a queen bed and feature a classic mid century design with paneled walls and vaulted ceilings. A clean and vintage-modern feel, each Treman Lodge room has a large picture window that overlooks grass, trees, and bird feeders.

All rooms have a private bathroom with tub / shower combo, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, central heat + air conditioning, and made in USA linens and towels. Natural bath products, complimentary Wifi, sound machine, and an alarm clock radio are also standard. A 54-quart Coleman cooler is provided for your use, bags of ice can be purchased from the front desk.

There is a television with Prime TV + Amazon firestick for you to log into your own Netflix, HBO, ESPN, etc. accounts. There is NOT traditional cable.

We are an old school motel experience with ground level rooms that have doors directly to the outside. In the winter cozy up to the wood burning stove in our guest lounge, or take a winter walk on one of our trails. In the summer make use of all 11 acres, lawn games, and our outdoor grills and fire pits. Drive down the road to one of many amazing State Parks, restaurants, wineries, or museums.

Wildlife mostly keeps to the back 9-acres, but occasionally you’ll find a toad out for an evening stroll, a chipmunk scurrying across the yard, an errant grasshopper or cricket trying to make their way in your room, or a snake sunning it’s self in the driveway. From July 4th through Labor Day weekend the minimum stay requirement is three nights, all other seasons the minimum stay requirement is two nights. Other things to note
Our Elmira Rd. locations mean that we're super convenient to State Parks, downtown Ithaca, wineries, etc. It also means that in some of our rooms you may hear cars going by at 35-45 mph. Most folks aren't bothered by this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a sensitivity to road noise.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Advance notice is required and dogs must be crated if they are left unattended in the room. Our pet fee is $50. Please let us know if your dog will be joining you and we will email a link to our pet policies.

The space
Located on the first floor of the Carriage House, this large King suite boasts a separate bedroom, living room with a day bed, well equipped kitchenette and private bathroom with tub / shower combo. The day bed can sleep a third person or child. A hair dryer, iron, ironing board, central heat + air conditioning, sound machine, made in USA linens and towels, natural bath products, complimentary Wifi, and an alarm clock radio are also standard.

There is a television with Prime TV + Amazon firestick for you to log into your own Netflix, HBO, ESPN, etc. accounts. There is NOT traditional cable.

The kitchenette is stocked with dishes, glassware, water kettle, french press, microwave, small refrigerator with freezer.

We are an old school motel experience with ground level rooms that have doors directly to the outside. This room is located on the first floor of the carriage house and does have a room above it. You may hear people walking above you, or the occasional door opening or closing.

In the winter cozy up to the wood burning stove in our guest lounge, or take a winter walk on one of our trails. In the summer make use of all 11 acres, lawn games, and our outdoor grills and fire pits. Drive down the road to one of many amazing State Parks, restaurants, wineries, or museums.

Wildlife mostly keeps to the back 9-acres, but occasionally you’ll find a toad out for an evening stroll, a chipmunk scurrying across the yard, an errant grasshopper or cricket trying to make their way in your room, or a snake sunning it’s self in the driveway. Beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available year round from our reception desk / bar in the Main House. Text an order to your room or stop by in person during office hours.

**Please note that indoor common areas, including our bar and guest lounge, are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Wine, beer and snacks can be added through the booking form and will be waiting in your room at check in. Orders can also be easily placed for contactless delivery throughout your stay. From July 4th through Labor Day weekend the minimum stay requirement is three nights, all other seasons the minimum stay requirement is two nights. On the occasion that a single night becomes available it is opened for booking online. Feel free to reach out as dates approach if you are looking for something specific.

Guest access
Guests have all hours access to their rooms and can park directly in the front of their door. Morning coffee, tea and cocoa are available in the office from 8:00am - 10:00am daily. We have games available for check out, and loads of information about area attractions. C’mon over.

Other things to note
Our Elmira Rd. locations mean that we're super convenient to State Parks, downtown Ithaca, wineries, etc. It also means that in some of our rooms you may hear cars going by at 35-45 mph. Most folks aren't bothered by this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a sensitivity to road noise.
