The Neighborhood:
You'll find the neighborhood to be somewhere between suburban and rural. This is a family neighborhood with long time residents who enjoy using their outdoor space, we ask all outdoor noise be kept at acceptable level during the day and to a minimum after 10:00PM.

Getting Around:
The majority of guests will want a car but Uber/Lyft is usually available.

Other Things to Note:
This is a lower level apartment in a duplex, down one flight of stairs. This means you'll be sharing the driveway if guests are occupying the upstairs unit. We ask that you respect the neighbors and keep indoor and outdoor noise to a minimum after 10:00PM.

Your quiet space is on a cul-de-sac in our home, close to multiple gorges, Cornell, Ithaca College, downtown Commons, Cayuga Lake, hiking and biking trails, wineries and breweries. Two miles away is Ithaca College, one more mile is the Commons & you are at the foot of Cornell’s campus. Easy drive to Watkins Glen State Park trails, Seneca Lake and more wineries.

Ithaca is Gorges: close by is Buttermilk State Park, Treman State Park, Cascadilla Gorge Trail, Ithaca Falls, plus wineries, breweries, and Cayuga Lake. Taughannock State Park hits a lot of bells and whistles for its falls and hiking. We have birding areas at Lab of Ornithology and Montezuma. Seneca Lake is close by to offer all of the above and I recommend visiting Watkins Glen State Park.

Your bedroom is separate from the living room and kitchen spaces so if your partner wants to rest longer, close the bedroom door and enjoy your coffee or beverage of choice on the couch or on your patio. Your backyard view has bunnies and deer visible from your kitchen table or living room couch. Behind your apartment is a walking trail to a small pond and Gazebo.

Arriving guests park in your designated spot on our flat driveway and take a pathway to the back door entrance. There's a contactless keypad entry, and you are able to enjoy your own apartment with an outside patio, table and chairs.

The space

We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Cornell's campus, Ithaca Airport, Lab of Ornithology, and shopping. We are also a quick drive to downtown Ithaca and the farmers market! There is also ample parking on the driveway. The local bus service (TACT) stop is just one block away from the house as well.

The living room has a Smart TV equipped with Netflix and Chromecast for you to enjoy from our comfortable couch as you relax and unwind after your adventures. The house has a private entrance from the back of the house and is accessed with a smart key lock.

As the weather warms up, you are also welcome to enjoy our spacious yard.

Our beautiful 1 bedroom apartment is the downstairs of our family home located in a quiet, family friendly culdesac, close minutes from downtown, shopping, routes 79, 89 and 96! As mentioned, our family occupies the upstairs unit and we’re a couple in our 30’s with two little boys. The apartment is a fully remodeled 950 sq ft fully furnished apartment, new appliances, with a beautiful kitchen and spacious bedroom and bathroom. This spacious apartment is extremely clean and well appointed with high quality materials. It is well insulated and toasty warm in winter! Heat is provided by a beautiful and cozy natural gas furnace that is completely safe and vents to the outside. It is connected to a thermostat that is up to you to control. Hallway and bedroom both have heat provided by electric baseboards, also for you to control with thermostats. AC is a window unit, located in the spacious bedroom, only - but it is fully functioning and does the job of keeping the apartment cool. We provide a smart TV for our guests in both the bedroom and the living room, but we ask that you use your own netflix/hulu login, though WiFi is included. We do not provide cable TV. Lawn is always well cared for, whether it is summer or winter time! Bedroom is fully furnished with a queen size bed with an adjustable base that includes a USB plug and night light, and we do offer a mini crib with a thick crib mattress safe for your little one. A queen size air mattress is available in the unit as well for an additional guest. We have included a sound machine for an even more comfortable rest! Living room has two couches and a large smart TV, which could mean more sleeping room for those accompanying you! Dining room table seats 4 and the brand new kitchen has full size appliances including the french door refrigerator with a built in ice maker. Bathroom has a large vanity and lots of storage space and a dual magnetic shower head with a tub. We do have exterior Arlo security cameras on site, as well, for everyone’s safety and soundness. One is located in the front to monitor the parking area and the culdesac, the other is located in the back by the entrance but definitely facing away from the entrance door! In addition to all the amazing amenities we offer with our beautiful private apartment, we’ve placed plenty of family games in the living room for you to enjoy! Brochures and other fun area booklets are available to view as well so you can learn this beautiful Ithaca and surrounding area better and enjoy it to the fullest! We look forward to hosting you!

The apartment is a brand new bottom floor unit, with hosts living upstairs, though very quiet and respectful. The hosts are my folks, and I, their daughter Branka, manage the property and platform for them.

This apartment truly is brand new, construction ended in June 2021. It is private with your own entry. There is a large bedroom with enough closet space, a queen size bed, blow up mattress (also queen size) and a mini crib for those who travel with little ones. Living room is spacious and equipped with a large TV, an electric fireplace, and all around comfort! Bathroom does have a sensitive sani-flo system, and it can sometimes be a bit loud but functions very well. Bathroom is well equipped with amenities and a modern, touch button mirror and plenty of storage. Kitchen is equipped with full size appliances and a dishwasher for convenience of less to think of while on vacation!

Without saying too much, we invite you to book with you and enjoy all the hard work we have put into the unit, all the while assuring you have everything you need for your comfortable stay. Please refer to the photos of the listing, they are the best way to get an idea of the quality and comfort of the large 950 sq. foot apartment.

- "The apartment is beautifully furnished, with everything one could want in the kitchen in order to cook, bake, or grill at home. Lovely private patio, very quiet, plenty of hot water. Victoria, the owner, went out of her way to be helpful. It’s an easy 10 minute drive to Cornell or to the grocery store, or 15 to Taughannock Falls Park. Dining room seats 8. My son said the sofa bed as very comfortable. Pantry for storage, dish washer, laundry- it would be fabulous for a more extended stay, but I had to get home for an appointment. "
