Guest Reviews:

- "We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet, comfortable, with a gorgeous view. We loved having a drink at the cidery at sunset. The space-age toilet set up wasn’t as gross as I thought it would be. I would recommend bringing a mosquito net for the bed (you can tie one from the ceiling). We brought our own fairy lights and candles (set up is very basic). A broom would be nice to sweep the tent and stairs. A great option when Ithaca is booked (it was Grassroots weekend)"

- "The meadow retreat was a beautiful, private setting close to the finger lakes. We enjoyed wine and cider tastings and a beautiful hike at Buttermilk Falls on the gorge trail. Despite the cloudy skies without stars, the abundant fireflies were so pretty while we sat by the fire. There was plenty of water provided, bug spray and some other necessities. We brought an easy up canopy for some outdoor cover." - "Great little „retreat“ ! Mike and Lucy are great hosts. Great communication. We got honey from their farm - so exciting. The waterfalls around are gems. Treman State Park and the Buttermilk Galls are must hikes!!!"

Tentrr Signature Site - Forest Fairy Tale By The Creek
RV Rental
Spencer, New York, USA

Summary:
The site: Tucked away in the back forests of our property, the site overlooks Sulphur Springs Creek. Find peace and relaxation while sitting around your campfire listening to the sounds of moving water. This site has been revered as "magical" by all who have visited. Moss and mushrooms everywhere and tiny frogs! There is a hammock and park bench back there for your enjoyment. Pay special attention to all the cute, hidden decorations sprinkled throughout the land.
You must arrive before dark to access the site!
___
The hike in: It is an interesting 10-15 minute walk back to the site so plan accordingly for what you plan to carry in. The trail begins in our old apple tree grove and continues to a poplar tree grove while amongst wildflowers of the season, to the new growth forest and swamp until you reach the old growth forest where the site is located along the creek. The trails are kept as natural as possible and therefore are not perfectly flat; be prepared for uneven surfaces and a lot of pallet bridges. If there has been significant rain, the trails can be a little muddy in spots. Slight downhill TO the site and slight uphill on way back.

1964 Shasta Compact Camper (Grayhaven Motel)
RV Rental
Finger Lakes

Set up camp at the Grayhaven Motel in our clean, old and cozy 1964 Shasta Compact. This is a simple and minimal camping accommodation on our 11 acre motel-stead, where you can rest with a book, explore the two state parks within 1 mile of the property, or head down the street for a brewery tour + dinner. Please read on about the space and review all of the information in this listing to ensure that Grayhaven Motel is the right fit for you.

The space
Our camper is located on the property of our recently renovated retro motel. Guests have access to the camper, Grayhaven property (playground, fire pits, grills, trails, guest lounge and bar), and a full private bathroom that is roughly 50 feet from the camper. Keys are provided for the bathroom. The bed is a full size mattress that sleeps two.

Our little vintage camper gives you a taste of real camping; with the added luxury of sleeping off the ground on a new memory foam mattress under crisp clean linens. The camper comes with access to #6, a separate and private air conditioned dressing room with a full bathroom (toilet, sink + walk-in shower). Towels and linens are provided. The Shasta is a good fit for folks open to an adventure, looking for something different, simple, and fun in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

Free WIFI is accessible in the on property, and in the bar and guest lounge. There is NO running water or electricity in the camper. Phone charging, et cetera is possible in #6.

We are an old school motel experience with ground level rooms that have doors directly to the outside. In the winter cozy up to the wood burning stove in our guest lounge, or take a winter walk on one of our trails. In the summer make use of all 11 acres, lawn games, and our outdoor grills and fire pits. Drive down the road to one of many amazing State Parks, restaurants, wineries, or museums.

Wildlife mostly keeps to the back 9-acres, but occasionally you’ll find a toad out for an evening stroll, a chipmunk scurrying across the yard, an errant grasshopper or cricket trying to make their way in your room, or a snake sunning it’s self in the driveway. They were here first after all. Read more about our stunning Inlet Valley location.

Beer, wine, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available year round from our reception desk / bar in the Main House. Text an order to your room or stop by in person during office hours.

**Please note that indoor common areas, including our bar and guest lounge, are currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Wine, beer and snacks can be added through the booking form and will be waiting in your room at check in. Orders can also be easily placed for contactless delivery throughout your stay. We appreciate your understanding as we do our very best to provide a safe stay for all guests. Please see CoV-19 Response for more information.

Guest access
Guests have all hours access to their rooms and can park directly in the front of their door. Morning coffee, tea and cocoa are available in the office from 8am - 10am daily. We have games available for check out, and loads of information about area attractions. C’mon over.

Other things to note
Our Elmira Rd. locations mean that we're super convenient to State Parks, downtown Ithaca, wineries, etc. It also means that in some of our rooms you may hear cars going by at 35-45 mph. Most folks aren't bothered by this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a sensitivity to road noise.
