There is a pleasant harbour area about 15 minute walk with designer shops and plenty of harbour side restaurants and bars. After seven days you will have probably exhausted all options unless you get a car. We went on a day long tour of the island which is worth doing. You are well away from night clubs and tatty tourist shops and burger bars here. It is all very civilised and pleasant. The food is excellent."

Room was lovely and kept very clean. The hotel is also close to some lovely restaurants, bars and shops and only a short walk to the hustle of the bars in Playa Blanca. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again."

- "Upon arrival we received a welcome drink and checked in. The reception staff provided us with maps and information about the hotel and our luggage was taken to our room. I realised that when we got into our room, they had upgraded us to a fantastic deluxe suite (whether it was because I had just celebrated my birthday), but they never commented at check-in so this was a great start to the holiday. We booked on a half board basis and couldn't fault the choice and variety of food on the menu. For breakfast they have a separate menu for eggs, as well as a buffet for cooked breakfast, cold meat platter, yoghurt & fruit plus pastries and breads. For the evening they offer you a choice of 4 main courses, as well as a salad and dessert bar and wine menu. You were never rushed whilst eating and the staff were on hand to ask for anything extra you required. Breakfast can get quite busy so they use the Gourmet Club as an overflow to eat, rather than keep people waiting. The housekeeping services are excellent and staff were still around cleaning rooms into the evening. Towels were changed daily and everything was kept spotless, we couldn't fault anything. One of the bulbs had gone in our room so reported it and they sent staff up within no time at all to replace and check the rest out. Pool towels were supplied and again all the areas were kept clean and staff were available to bring drinks over. Would highly recommend a stay, we couldn't fault the staff or service !!!"

- "One of the best hotels in the area, short walk through the lovely gardens to the sea front and promenade. Clean and comfortable hotel, excellent bed, sunbed on balcony. Usual poolside sunbed chasing, just the same in the bigger hotel, Los Jameos, which is next door. Food was good quality with reasonable choices for breakfast, evening was standard buffet offerings. - "This was my first solo trip so it was important for me to stay at a safe hotel. Hotel Fariones did not disappoint in this area. The hotel is stunningly beautiful, best place to relax and recharge. It is like being in a tropical oasis only in Europe, lovely palm trees, tropical plants, flowers an infinity pool, two jacuzzi’s, and you can have a lovely massage as I did looking out to sea. It has its very own beach however, you will need to use your room card to access the security doors to the main beach which I enjoyed very much going for a run early in the morning it’s so safe! I found the area to be safe to walk around by myself until 8/9pm some nights. Everything thing you need is easily accessible restaurants, bars, shopping etc, if you want to rent a car, bicycle, scooter you can do that too all in walking distance from the hotel. The staff are great throughout all very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Hotel Fariones. 🙂"

- "An amazing getaway that is still a short drive to town and the beach. A little oasis tucked up in the mountains. Quiet and tranquil with a beautiful view and pool. We had a nice view, and it was great and quiet. Beds were nice with a reasonable range of pillows. I slept really well. The room throughout was clean, and the bathroom was good. There was also a good provision of storage for our stuff. The restaurant each day was fantastic. There was a great amount of variety, and this changed each day. Everything tasted as good as or better than it looked (which for all inclusive is rarer than it should be sadly). Things were reasonably well labelled - the odd omission, but things can always be improved. The only gripe I had was that serving tongs / spoons were often shared amongst different dishes - so you might find a spoon used to two different types of cake which had remnants of both on. I’m not one with a big issue on cross contamination (for allergies as an example) but this struck me as an easy one to fix. The staff were faultless. Reception were lovely, bar staff fantastic, the restaurant staff always cheerful and helpful, the cleaning staff always gave a cheery hello - every single person we encountered was a credit to the place. We did one or two of the fitness activities, these were quite good. The only issue we had was that often it wasn’t totally clear what you were signing up for. One class labelled as 30mins was 45. Another were thought might be an easy stretch sort of class was much more advanced. I’d really suggest giving a bit more detail."

- "We've just returned from a 10 day stay at the Lanzarote Princess (Late July 2015). It was our second time at the hotel as my husband and I visited in April 2014. During our first visit I noticed that the hotel was very family orientatated so we decided to come back this year with our four children (age 9, 7, 5, 3). We were not disappointed! The hotel is fantastic and the children had a great time. The children's entertainment team, especially, worked so hard to ensure our children had loads of fun. The staff were very helpful at all times... except for one instance were one member of staff didnt want to help me becuase I was not a privilege guest and her job was only to assist their privalege guests. But I think she is an exception to the norm! The hotel is perfectly located next to a fantastic beach and just 5 minuted walk from the shops and restaurants. Overall the children were very happy at this hotel (they are still singing the hotel's signiture song), and that's the most important thing for me, as this holiday was for them really. If you would prefer a more prestigious hotel then this may not be the place for you, but if you want a hotel with good food, fantastic children's entertainment and warm friendly staff then I would highly reccomend Lanzarote Princess."

We had a few maintenance issues, all of which were resolved quickly with the longest taking 48 hours. Food included roast joints, many species of fish, stroganoff, lots of salads, fruit etc. Being mid Atlantic, we would particularly encourage people to try all the varieties of fish even if you have never heard of them. Cost a fortune in UK. Admittedly they are not so good at chips. The staff are friendly and helpful, almost family. Sometimes though they are very busy, there can be 800 guests all wanting breakfast at the same time. They cater to guests from all over Europe so not all the staff are English fluent. Pick quieter times and double check they do understand your English. We tend to use a lot of cliches, idioms and sometimes say “can you” when we mean “will you”. Noise pretty much goes by 11.30pm although the Ents team will get louder as the older winter crowd are replaced by the summer families. Yes, the Spa needs some work but closing it would be a big impact on the guests for that month. Unlike mainland hotels, this hotel is nearly full all year round. And a shout out to Ellis"

Built on 1690. Fully renovated building. Included by artist César Manrique in his book, “Lanzarote architecture is an example of Canarian architecture. It has large wooden coffered ceilings about 4 meters high and original floors, both in eighteenth-century mulberry and tea wood, stone walls more than half a meter wide, and an interior courtyard, typically Canary Island, to which the rooms face.

Spectacular Farmhouse in the Valley of 10,000 palms in the north of the island of Lanzarote.
