- "The staff was brilliant, I recommend staying here for kawasan falls canyoneering and book directly in this place, we had an amazing private tour for only 1100 pesos each and lasted abour 3-4h with food and water also. Much better than a group as we could take amazing photos and they took us early to avoid the crowds. The hotel room was clean and there is air con (bit noisy). The tv only has 1 channel but tbh we were too tired to be watching it. Also the wi fi is not free as advertised, there is a machine 5 pesos gets you 1h of wi fi but doesnt reach the rooms (this didn't bother me im on holidays not to be on the phone). The beach outside of the property is not really a swimming beach, more for the view. Malboal is about 30min away by bike or bus (just flag a yellow bus is like 32 pesos per person soooo cheap) and there are plenty of beaches there."

- "It was an amazing place to stay, If i had to rate this place 1 out of 10.. I would rate it a 20.. It was one of my best place to stay in Asia. The owners are the best people and we became friends. They have a stove up stairs where you can cook dinner and I cooked them an Italian dinner. They cooked for me the next night. We drink wine and laughed all night. The room was out of this world, it was right on the water and my gf and I sat on our deck and had candlelight dinner with wine.. And the highlight - there is not one, not two but THREE big cockroaches that we saw during our stay. I have to get rid of it myself as it was late when we saw it. So if you like creepy crawlies then stay here. The only positive side is that this place is just beside the whale shark registration/check in so you can go to the place without traveling. Definitely not staying there again. "

On the negative side, the neighbours can be a little noisy but will be quiet for a while if you ask them nicely. We often found glass from broken bottles washed up on the beach, but I think this is almost unavoidable and can be quickly cleared before setting any littler kids to run wild.
