- "This is a second-floor apartment, one of three in a large home on a busy thoroughfare. It’s small, but very comfortable, with great beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Downstairs is an open concept -- living room, kitchen and half bath. Upstairs are the two bedrooms. When we arrived, we noticed that there were not enough towels for our five-day stay, and no dish towels provided at all in the kitchen; I called the property management team and they responded quickly and were very friendly. No televisions or ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Great A/C system. Plenty of lovely windows, so great lighting. Two of the windows wouldn't lock, though, and the front door doesn't have an inside lock so anyone with the security code could enter -- but perhaps they change the code after each rental, not sure. Generous with their coat hangers (I've had to ask for them from other VRBO's!). Wonderful bedding and plenty of great blankets supplied. The description says "dryer," but there's actually a wonderful laundry room in the basement of the home with washer, dryer, supplies and a nice folding table. Unlike many other VRBO's, the check-out instructions weren't a mile long - just take out the trash, turn out the lights, set the thermostat. Five stars."

If you plan to visit Boston, you can park at the train station and enjoy a fun day in the city!

This 1 bed, 1 bath apartment offers great amenities including a smart, large screen TV (with Youtube TV), office space with gigabit high-speed fiber internet for working on the go, and keyless entry through the garage. Our kitchenette includes a hotplate and cooking basics for guests to prepare meals without having to leave the house.
There are also no stairs in or out of the apartment. It's all one-level living.

Guests can access the entire basement unit during their stay.

Guests are welcome to use our washer and dryer during their stay as well. It is located in a space shared by the other two apartment units.

Please note this is a basement unit. The entrance is through the garage.

There are security cameras monitoring the parking lot and inside the garage door.

The top and bottom apartment units share a central HVAC system that can be remotely controlled. The thermostat is located in the upstairs apartment unit. We have an electric baseboard heater, space heater and portable fan designated for this unit for guests to use if needed.

Back yard is for upstairs tenants only.

- "The apartment is in the "basement" of the house. The house itself and the Property are very pretty. The inside had to be accessed through the garage but you can walk right in without going up or down any stairs. The washer and dryer in the hallway work very well. In the room the microwave is new and works. There is also a towel fan and portable room heater. I did not find any central air conditioning controls although there were vents in the rooms. The rooms were cold but the portable heater,and the built in restroom heater did the trick. Fridge and freezer worked, the only other cooking option is a portable single burner electric stovetop . Stayed with my wife and our 9 year old son. The bed is mediocre, and the couch has a pull out section to turn the couch itself into a bed style platform. I slept on it the second night because I couldn't get comfortable in the bed. Had basically everything we needed in a pretty location. Boston was a 30 minute drive... That's if you don't get hit with the mean drivers. (I'm from Texas and I've never seen such mean drivers) very agressive, Boston probably has the number one worst traffic situation in my book right now. Thanks for offering a nice place at a hotel rate! Almost thought it was too good to be true. Owner was very responsive to messages."

We are located in the historical Shawsheen Village of Andover. Andover is a very safe and well-respected town, home to the world-famous Phillips Academy, and well-known companies such as Pfizer, Philips, Raytheon, etc. We are located close to I-495, I-93. We are about 30 minutes drive from Boston. Of course, you can also take advantage of the commuter rail by MBTA (4 minutes away), which will take you to the North Station of downtown Boston.

You will be living in the entire 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom unit, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer in unit. We have about 0.48 acre lot, a beautifully maintained front and back yard. There are a lot public areas you can walk you dogs. You can google Shawsheen River Reservoir or Bowling Green Soccer Field. They are within 5 mins walk. The wide sidewalks in this part of the town make walking very safe and enjoyable especially during the warmer months.

Dunkin Donuts for morning coffee is just 2 mins walk away. Within 16 mins walk you will reach the Shawsheen Plaza, there you will find Stop&Shop (a local grocery store), great restaurants, retail and wine stores, etc. A few more minutes strolling down the road you will find Whole Foods and the train station. It is a very safe and friendly place. We've got great and helpful neighbors, too!

We're a busy family and will be here during your stay. You have full access to the private entrance studio. Side/set-back from the street. We will interact as you would like. Please text through Airbnb...When here, during normal hours, knock on our shared [inside] door.

Other things to note
Quiet hours: Quiet hours are between 8 p.m. - 7 a.m. We work and our kids are off to school or an activity every morning. If you are a late riser, you may hear us in the morning.

The house is 120 years old and you are likely to hear the water running when on in the other bath in the home.

Wood Floors: Shoes off please - our floors are mostly native wood-planks and we aim to keep them shiny for many years.

Septic system: The home is on septic - no food or waste is to be flushed or rinsed down the sinks/showers/toilets. Please use the trash barrels provided. If you have a full back, please bring it to the barrels by the driveway. If you need additional trash bags, please let us know.

Showering with a Septic System. Your shower is a Rainmaker shower. It delivers a lot of water. You can adjust the knob towards the wall to lessen the amount of water coming out. Enjoy the shower, yet be conscientious of the time so that all the hot water is not used up.

Early morning traffic: The street in front of the house can have a fair amount of traffic at morning rush hour 6:00 - 7:30. We have a noise-canceling device you may want to use if car traffic can disrupt your sleep at that time.

Historic House: The house is 120 years old and originally owned by one of the founding families (The Abbots). and we are updating.

Recycle
We recycle too and a blue-bin is available for bottles and papers (no-sorting needed)

Be safe: For safety, unplug all heating appliances (space heaters, toaster ovens, coffee makers...) after use. Plug in when using...

Parking: There is one spot for parking in our driveway.
