There is outstanding bird watching from the sun room and from the northeast sun porch, 40 yards from the half-acre tidal pond on the grounds. The property is directly across the water from Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge. Bird watching is peak over morning coffee or at dusk, depending on the species. Spectacular sunrises over the water. Plenty of space to play and wander. Catch fish and crabs right from the property, and prepare a feast for the group.

The Location & Area: Ten minutes to the seafood restaurants, bars, marinas, and many other activities of Kent Narrows. It is right across the Bay Bridge from Annapolis and 40 miles to St. Michaels. Coming across from the Western Shore, you will part with any shore traffic immediately, taking the first exit after the Bay Bridge. The grandparents spent a lot of times in the screened front porch playing card games. The children were in the playroom next to dinning area when they are inside the house. Rest of us were hanging out in kitchen and living room. The dogs enjoyed the shallow beach (there were few jelly fish, but no one got stringed). Hal was very pleasant to deal with. He sent out detailed instructions ahead of arrival and answered all our questions quickly. He even had a 30 min call with us to provide additional tips and information. Everyone enjoyed the stay. - "Great stay, exactly as advertised, Donna was great!" - "Got together with some old friends to catch up over beer. Were looking for a spot near not-fussy golf and food near the water. Unbeatable location for both, a couple minutes drive to Blue Heron and about a one minute walk to the marina. The kicker was the beach volleyball court which we put to use despite the 90 degree heat. House (and importantly the air conditioning) were just great."

- "We LOVE this property! We love everything about it! The house was very clean and tidy! There was a stock of household products and cooking supplies to get us started. We stayed on the water non stop with the 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks provided for use. We loved not having to share our private beach front. We loved watching all the ships and crab boats coming in and out, passing by us! We loved watching the bald eagles! We bought dinner next door at the Marina and it was the best crab, scallops, shrimp and fish ever!! Be aware that there are jellyfish in the water but we left them alone and they left us alone. Grocery stores and shopping are about 20 minutes away but we did go next door to the marina a few times and picked some items up. If you want a vacation that is quiet and away from the hussle and bussle of that “tourist” feeling- then this one is for you! The owner is very friendly and not afraid to have a conversation with you! Answered many questions and gave several suggestions! We will be back for family vacation and maybe even weekend getaway’s! We were always Myrtle Beach goers-not anymore!"
