For a visit in August during USNA parents weekend, this was the ideal place - close enough to walk to downtown, pool was fantastic, amenities were spot-on. A quiet and restful spot for a tired plebe." - "We rented the house for five days before and after a wedding in Annapolis. Special features included the pool, which was not heated but comfortable after a quick plunge, a screened in porch with a wide screen television, a lush garden, and an efficient kitchen with more gadgets than I have in my 4,000 square-foot house at home. Liz, the owner and manager, was quick to respond to every inquiry and very accommodating. Within two blocks were excellent seafood restaurants and a vegetarian breakfast/lunch counter. My son and I enjoyed running every morning over the bay bridge and into the historic heart of what seemed more like a large village than a city. My career was in historic preservation and this compares well with Savanna. Minor inconveniences included low water pressure (which is being improved by city crews who blocked nearby roads occasionally), the one-way street that passed by the house and made entering and exiting the driveway an occasional challenge, and the front steps without a hand rail. Best of all was the pool where my six year old grandson and I invented a new game called Pappa Ball, keeping a beach ball up in the air passing to one another. We had lots of laughs and hugs. We would book the place again in a heartbeat."

A's by the Cove is ideally located in the heart of downtown Annapolis's Historic and Art Districts. It is a fully updated & detached home with historic charm and an inviting front porch. Well conceived and open floor plan to include a living room (with queen sleeper sofa), a dedicated workspace, 1/2 bath and eat in kitchen on the first floor and 2 bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. Enclosed rear yard provides an opportunity to create a lovely quiet space out our back door.

One parking spot (in a nearby by public lot - less than 60 yard from the house) is included with your rental, you can walk to West street, Main Avenue or the city dock all in less than 10 min.

The property is equipped with a RabbitAir Air Filtering device which allow the interior air to go through a 6-stage filtering twice every hour. it traps allergens & contaminants. It is certified Asthma & Allergy friendly.

A perfect location to enjoy Commissioning Week, Boat Shows and other festivals in Historic Annapolis.

A's by the Cove has a minimum age requirement. All adult members of your party must be 21 or older unless they are children traveling as part of a family group. Every guest must be registered and verified on your reservation. We have a strict no party or gathering policy.

Guest must sign Rental Agreement and provide Government ID.

Although you have access to the entire house and private backyard, there is one locked owner closet located in the living room.

Your arrival (and departure) are fully contactless. You will be provided with detailed check-in instructions the afternoon prior to your arrival including a code and/or mobile app to enter the home.

We are here for you during your stay, but our level of interaction is entirely up to you. We are only a phone call/message away and will respond usually within minutes during extended business hours. During the overnight, we probably wont get back to you until early the next morning. If there is a life threatening emergency, please contact 911 and then call us and leave us a voicemail. We reserve the right to stop by the property at anytime but will give you at least 4 hours notice except in case of emergency.

The property is equipped with video recording camera outside the home. There are 2 cameras located on the front porch and the backyard for the safety of our guests. One on the front porch looking at the front door and one on the back porch looking at the backyard. Those are used for security purpose only. Any recording is automatically deleted after 30 days.

Third Party Reservations (Guest not occupying the home) are strictly forbidden and again any channel policy (airbnb, VRBO, booking...). The guest who made the reservation must be an active occupant of the home for the entire duration of the reservation. Unauthorized guests will be removed from the property and the reservation will be immediately canceled. No refund will be provided regardless of the cancellation policy.

Charming Annapolis home, just 150 feet from the water, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the expansive waters of the Chesapeake Bay. Though not with direct riparian waterfront access, there are great water views from most rooms. Features 4 bedrooms & 4 baths. In total, the home has 1 king bed, 3 queen beds, a pull out daybed that can sleep 2, a cot, an air mattress, & 4 full baths. You will find new LG and KitchenAid appliances and comfortable leather sofas that can sleep up to 4 extra people (14-16 total is possible), a vision grills Kamado ceramic grill (think big green egg), three covered balconies, access to community amenities including community beach/picnic areas. Close to beautiful Thomas Point and Quiet Waters parks. Note that this is a water view home but it does not have direct waterfront access, which is best accessed at the community beach, a 5 min walk.

The space:

The front door is under a pretty front porch, accented with a standing seam metal roof. The main level features an open concept kitchen/living/dining room with Asian mahogany floors inlaid with porcelain tiles, beautiful light fixtures & a wall of bay facing windows. This level also has a bedroom & full bath with urinal & tub.

The top level has a beautiful master bedroom suite with a vaulted ceiling & exposed beam, skylights, hardwood floors, a wall of windows w/ bay views, and a private covered balcony.
The en suite bathroom has a radiant heated ceramic tile floor, double-size shower with multiple shower-heads, claw-footed soaking tub, and trough-style double sink. There is also a vessel-style sink on the "personal care" counter.

The third bedroom also has a vaulted ceiling and en suite full bath (shower, reclaimed wood double sink).

The kitchen has many details not to miss: Marinace granite countertops, cherry cabinets w/ Swarovski crystal pulls, a hammered copper sink, a glass vessel sink on the prep counter, Kitchen-aid induction cooktop (water boils in seconds) & downdraft ventilation, an LG fridge (craft ice), a new KitchenAid dishwasher and double oven, and a walk-in pantry. The island is made from reclaimed wood; in fact, many elements in the home are eco-friendly downspouts empty into garden beds, low flow toilets, & tankless heater.

The ground level has a glass-door entrance at the front and a 2nd door leading to the waterside. There's a cozy 4th bedroom & full bath (shower) which is fairly wheelchair accessible (entrance is flush to ground level).

The driveway can hold 6-8 vehicles. Street parking is not allowed.

Chestnut Avenue ends at the Chesapeake Bay. From there, you can view the Bay Bridge & the Thomas Point lighthouse, but do not trespass.

Waterfront access is through the nearby community beach. See map in the VRBO listing photos

There is additional water access (swimming, fishing, and walking) via Chesapeake walk < 150 feet from the house between Linden Ave and Sycamore Ave.---Please take note of the "no trespass sign" affixed to a wooden post along chestnut ave at the edge of our property line. This sign was posted by our neighbor, Darryl. His property, with the small old historic home on it (immediately adjacent to the water) is private property, and should not be accessed. He appears to be very passionate about this, and will seek damages for verified trespassing incidents, which will have be passed on to our guests. Note - There are security cameras on his property.

Neighborhood amenities:
AOTB has a small community beach and a "Dinghy Dock" aka "The Linden Avenue Crabbing Pier". The Linden Avenue Recreational Pier may be used only for crabbing, fishing, sunning, swimming and other similar activities.

Pets:

Pets are welcome (pet fee applies) as long as they do not damage the furniture. Please, no pets on furniture or in the bedrooms. An effort to clean up shed fur should be made prior to checkout.

1. Guests have access to & use of community property and recreational areas including the beach, boat ramp, Newport Avenue pier, playground, & our private roads, whether paved or not.

2. Use of any community or recreational area in a manner which disturbs neighboring residents is not appropriate or acceptable behavior. Exhibit sensitivity & respect for the community.

3. Beach: Use of the beach area is permitted between dawn & dusk. No trash is to be left behind. No dogs are allowed on the beach. The beach area has no parking. Grilling is permitted only on Association grills installed for that purpose.

4. Redwood ave Boat Ramp/Pier: Boat launching is permitted between dawn & dusk. No children are allowed without adult supervision. There is no parking, including for boat trailers, at the launching ramp.

5. Streets / Parking: No parking is allowed on any paved or unimproved street that accesses residential property or is designated as an Anne Arundel County fire truck drafting site. All streets provide access for emergency response vehicles & are considered fire lanes.

6. Dogs: In Anne Arundel County, dogs must be leashed at all times. Guests are asked to clean up after their dogs. Dog waste stations are provided at convenient locations throughout our neighborhood, so please safeguard our Chesapeake Bay’s health by using them.

A modern historic gem in a 10 unit building in Eastport or as the locals call it the Maritime Republic of Eastport or "MRE". The 1880s building has been fully renovated to capture the old world charm with the exposed factory brick but updated with hard word floors, plantation shutters, granite countered open kitchen concept, living and dining area, double vanity granite master bath, and a private garden area with dining and grill.

This is our home with very few rentals as we want others to treat it like it is their own. This means it is very clean and well equipped with modern conveniences such as central air-conditioning, cable and WiFi. Unrestricted street parking and convenient self entry / door code access . We do not allow pets due to allergies of our own and those who are interested in staying with us.

- "This property was great! It is located in a very quiet neighborhood in Eastport and there is ample street parking. It is very clean and very well stocked with dishes, cooking pots, pans, nice boos cutting board and utensils and dishes. The two bedrooms are very nice and comfortable and the shower and bathroom is clean and nice. The outdoor area in back is very usable and there is a brand new barbecue grill with gas. We for the PPW at the Naval Academy and it was perfect. It is about a 5-7 minute drive from the Academy. All around great place to stay."

Charming Bay Cottage just steps from a beautiful beach and the Chesapeake Bay, a short drive or walk to the crabbing and fishing pier and easy boat access at Sandy Point Park. USNA - 5 miles away and Families LOVE this house! The home is ranch style with hardwood floors, new carpeting and some new furnishings; a large screened in porch with a large table and ceiling fans. The 3rd bedroom is the den a day bed .

Although the house has a somewhat obstructed view of the Bay, this is a wonderful location and short drive to Historic Annapolis Downtown. If you have your own kayaks or a canoe the Little Magothy is a short walk from the house and a very calm and scenic water way.
HISTORIC ANNAPOLIS is approx. 7 miles away, and easily reached by traveling Rt. 50. The property holds 5 people comfortably and has 2 full bathrooms and an outside shower. Parking: Plenty of parking with 2 spots available in the driveway, and 2 street side. This is a non smoking home. No House parties and no parties at the private community beach. Originally built in 1857, this fully-restored home has a rich history that's been documented from it's original purpose as a Horse Barn and later became a popular hotel, due to its location in the center of the City, along with the neighboring townhouses on the block. As part of the larger City Hotel complex, this row house block is a rare example of early 19th century commercial domestic architecture which retains a high degree of integrity and contributes significantly to the pivotal intersection of Duke of Gloucester and Conduit streets. In 1900 the rowhouse block was sold independently in 1903 to Weems and Grafton D. Ridout, in whose family the building remained until the mid twentieth century.

When entering the home, you will be greeted by both the historic charm and all of the upgraded amenities that make for a modern experience. Walk through the impeccably-decorated living and dining rooms into the stunning kitchen with all stainless steel appliance and beautiful granite kitchen counters. Enjoy this one bedroom first floor apartment that's right across from Gate 2 of the U.S. Naval Academy. It's a short 1 block walk onto the USNA yard and 2 blocks to get to all of the restaurants, shops and water taxi on Ego Alley and everything that downtown Annapolis has to offer on Main Street and in Eastport. There are 8 steps to go up to get into the front entrance. Once you enter the front entrance there are no steps to enter the apartment. The apartment has a fully updated kitchen if you'd like to eat in, with a microwave, stove and dishwasher. The full bath has been completely remodeled. This home offers the charm of a historic home with modern day conveniences. Before the recent updates were made Walter Cronkite even stayed in the unit in the early 80's when his sailboat was downtown!

Check in is after 4pm. If we can accommodate an earlier check in we will.

Guest access:
You will have full access to the one bedroom first floor apartment. In addition you have access to shared washer and dryer located in the basement and a shared courtyard and grill out back.

Other things to note:
There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size pull out couch in the living room.

The house is about 1.2 miles from downtown where parking is paid, we recommend walking or taking an Uber/Lyft downtown to avoid parking challenges. We charge for additional guests above a fixed amount. This amount and additional charge varies by unit type, size, and configuration. If you input the correct guest count when you make your reservation the amount the booking site indicated as the total cost will not change (due to guest count). We ask for confirmation of guest count after you complete your booking. If you need to increase your guest count after booking confirmation due to a booking error, this could result in a price increase. Finally, we verify guest count via external cameras located on our properties. In the event that we notice a guest count at the property that is higher than reported, we reserve the right to ask for additional guest fees that would be double the amount we would have charged prior to check-in.

Please refer to the following guidelines regarding fees for extra guests:
2 BR unit - $30 per guest/night after 4 guests (i.e. 7 guests would be $35/night extra and 8 guests would be $70/night extra)

This house is pet friendly so if you are highly allergic to dogs or cats this home may not be a good fit for you. Our cleaning service is very good but you may notice an occasional dog/cat hair here and there.

We charge a pet fee of $50/night per pet that you bring with you. This reduces to $250/week per pet and $500/month per pet for longer term guests. This fee is not included in the accommodation fare rate. We will send a request for the additional funds once the number of pets is confirmed after booking.

***If you neglect to inform us ahead of time that you are bringing a pet with you then I reserve the right to either TERMINATE your stay early or DOUBLE the pet fee retroactively for the entirety of your reservation.***

If you are local to the Annapolis area and book for less than 5 days we reserve the right to ask you to cancel your reservation. We rarely make an exception to policy but may elect to do so at our sole discretion.

The following additional charges apply to late check outs/early arrivals, assuming I can offer this at all (I often can’t so please never assume this will be allowed):

1 hr or less early arrival or late departure: $100
1-2 hr early arrival/late departure: $200
2-3 hr early arrival/late departure: $300
3+ hr early arrival/late departure: $100/hr or the cost of an additional night’s stay, whichever is more

These fees are primarily in place to highly discourage late checkouts/early arrivals since this causes my cleaning service undue stress to prep the unit prior to your or the next set of guest’s arrival. This also increases the need for them to rush/cut corners, increasing the likelihood of them not cleaning the unit to the high standard which I hold them to.

Our place is nested in a private road of an exclusive neighborhood. Just outside the Washington, DC Beltway. You will find all the amenities you will need while you visit our nation's capital, historic sites; old town Alexandria, Georgetown and lots more.

Our guests will have complete access to our "Castle Enclave". You're welcome to use the well-appointed kitchen. Help yourself to all silverware, plates and cooking utensils. Enjoy the garden, or take a walk around. In short, this is your place, please treat it with comparable love and care.
