Please note, this cabin is rustic and has been updated with modern amenities, but does not have a TV or WiFi. There is cell service, but we encourage you to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature during your stay. The loft area is off limits to guests and the spiral staircase leading up to it is not to be used.
The driveway is dirt and gravel and requires an AWD or 4x4 vehicle during the winter months. Drive slowly and enjoy the scenic journey up the small gravel hill to the cabin.
Absolutely no pets are permitted in the cabin.

Wolf's Mountain Lodge is a newly remodeled two-story farm house style home. It is located in Somerset township near the PA turnpike and route 219. It is located 17 miles from the Flight 93 memorial, 17 miles from 7 Springs Mountain Resort, 14 miles from Hidden Valley Resort, 30 miles from Ohiopyle and Fallingwater, and only 1/2 mile from local shopping. This is the perfect house for individuals or families travel to Somerset for seasonal festivals, historic sites, weddings, family gatherings, or simply for rest and relaxation.

Renter has the option of paying the refundable security deposit or paying $59 (non-refundable) for a $1500 accidental damage protection coverage. If this option is requested, it will be changed when the final agreement is sent.

Being it was a weekend-long affair, we wanted to stay close instead of traveling from Pittsburgh each day. Since we had a larger group of people, this was one of the few places where we could all stay in the same house together. The cabin is beautiful and sits on a private piece of land, though it is still close to the roadways, restaurants, and other attractions. It is decorated beautifully, has all of the amenities that are expected of a house rental, and plenty of space to use. The clawfoot tub was a pleasant surprise to see upon arrival! John has been a great host from start to finish, and provided clear and concise directions during our stay. He helped with any inquiries I had prior to arrival, and was prompt with all communications. He even visited the property when we arrived to ensure all was up to par. Welcome to our all season mountain getaway! A charming chalet cottage that’s been updated and is fully stocked. We are a young family that rent this house as much as we use it and love to welcome others who want to enjoy the lake and nearby community! We are located in the popular Indian Lake on a golf course and walkable to Indian Lake Lodge. This property comes with lake access (seasonal, details below). Close to fall, winter, and spring activities and adventures as well.

The house has 3 indoor levels with outdoor spaces that include a deck with grill and fire pit, balcony, and lower deck. Indoor includes a full, fully stocked kitchen, gas fireplace, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All beds have clean, comfy bedding. All linens, towels, washcloths, soap and shampoo are included. First floor has 2 bedrooms and a full bath and lower outdoor deck area. The master bedroom has 1 King bed and a walk in closet that can fit a pack-n-play or crib. The second bedroom on the first floor has a bunk bed that has a full on the bottom and a twin on the top. This room has a stackable washer/dryer. Second Floor has kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher, gas oven/stove, living room with smart TV, fireplace, dining area, full bath, and two outdoor decks (front and back). The back deck has couch seating, firepit, grill, gas tiki torches, and a small table. Third floor is a loft with a full bed, nightstands, and chair. *1 twin bed cot is also available. There is a small area to sit next to the golf course. Parking for two cars is included. The stairs are steep inside but safe and carpeted. Wifi included.

Located between the quaint towns of Bedford and Somerset, we are close to many area attractions including Mountain Ridge ATV Park, Shawnee State Park, Flight #93 Memorial, and so much more! Our log home sleeps 14 and contains 4 BRs plus a loft, and 3 full baths. The main level has a LR, DR, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and primary BR with a king bed and private bath. The second floor has a BR with queen bed, a bunk room with 2 twin bunks (sleeps 4) and a queen bed, plus a loft area with a queen bed. All 2nd floor sleeping areas share a full bath on 2nd floor. The daylight lower level has a family room / game room with foosball, shuffleboard, TV and DVD/Blue Ray player, a BR with a queen bed, and a full bath. The rear yard has a deck with a gas grill and picnic table and a fire pit area. The covered front porch has rocking chairs and a porch swing with endless mountain views. Be sure to hike the trail to our private sunset vista!

Due to popular weekend rental requests, we require 7 day rentals to begin on Friday or Sunday.

For winter rentals, four-wheel drive is HIGHLY recommended. We do have a contract with a snow plower; however, depending on the amount of snow, it may be necessary to cancel or postpone your arrival with a full refund. If you are at the home when a large storm hits, we will make every effort to get the lane plowed for your departure. If it’s necessary to stay any extra days, there will be no charge for the extra days until the lane is able to be opened. We will be watching the weather and will be in touch with you throughout your trip.

Wi-Fi is for email and basic internet only, not for streaming movies. We do have TVs, DVD and blue ray players in each bedroom and the lower level family room, along with a rather large selection of movies to choose from. Please note, this is not by choice; however no other internet is currently available in our area. So plan to unplug as much as possible and enjoy the beauty of the land!

We do require that a photo ID of the guest booking the trip be uploaded to the message board prior to arrival. The code for entry will not provided until the ID is received.

Our family loves to call Mountain Ridge Retreat our second home, and we want our guests to feel the same way.

Golf on 2 public courses (one of which is Arnie’s first) at Indian Lake, or go for a swim at the new beach area in Shawnee State Park. Attending a wedding at one of the local venues (The Farm on the Ridge, Friesland Weddings and Events or Whispering Hollow Estate)? The cabin is just minutes away. Defy science and logic at Gravity Hill. Get an adrenaline rush at Jennerstown Speedway (macadam track) just 15 miles west on Rt 30 or if dirt tracks are your thing, check out Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. Browse through the antique shops in the area. Historic downtown Bedford and Bedford Springs Resort are just 25 minutes away. 35 miles to Blue Knob Ski Resort. 33 miles to Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Check out the virtual golf simulators at The Alley Sports Bar. This property is great for getting away to relax and unwind. Currently there is no WI-FI connection. There is a TV and DVD player so bring your favorite movies or enjoy one of our classics. Bedding and towels are provided.

Defy science and logic at Gravity Hill. Get an adrenaline rush at Jennerstown Speedway (macadam track) just 15 miles west on Rt 30 or if dirt tracks are your thing, check out Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. Browse through the antique shops in the area. Historic downtown Bedford and Bedford Springs Resort are just 25 minutes away. 35 miles to Blue Knob Ski Resort. 33 miles to Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Check out the virtual golf simulators at The Alley Sports Bar just down Rt 30 about a quarter mile. This property is great for getting away to relax and unwind. Welcome to the Dillon Getaway Chalet at Hidden Valley Resort- a guest favorite! This 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home sleeps 13. With an abundance of outdoor activities like golfing, skiing & snowboarding, swimming, hiking, and biking (just to name a few); plus festivals, state parks, sightseeing, spas, & restaurants and bars, there is entertainment for everyone in the Laurel Highlands. Note: AWD/4WD vehicles are suggested in the winter (gravel driveway is steep). Exterior security cameras in use.

Your Property
As you walk down the steps from the driveway and onto the front porch, you'll enter the house using the door on the right. This will lead you into the mudroom/laundry room. From here, guests can access the main level.

Just outside of the laundry room is the main entryway where guests can find the living area immediately to their left, the steps to go upstairs or downstairs, a half bathroom on their right, or a hallway that will lead to the master bedroom or the kitchen.

The living area is spacious and features comfortable leather furniture, a large Smart TV, and picture windows that overlook the outdoor deck. The living area is open to the dining area which offers a live edge log table that comfortably sleeps 6 people. Access to the outdoor deck is available in the dining area. The kitchen is also open to the dining area.

The kitchen is large and well stocked. Guests will have an easy time cooking up a meal for a crowd and the best part is. A variety of small kitchen appliances are available such as a crockpot, air fryer, toaster, coffee maker (Keurig), and more.

The huge primary bedroom is located on the main level of the house. It features a king size bed, its very own living area, curved Smart TV, tons of closet and dresser space, and a private ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and jetted bath tub.

The second floor of the home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. Bedroom 2 features a queen size bed. Bedroom 3 offers a queen size bed and a smart TV. A full bathroom is shared between the two. The bathroom is equipped with a shower/tub combo, single bowl vanity, and toilet.

The lower level of the house is where all the fun happens! It features an arcade game, pool table, and smart TV that is set-up for gaming (PS5 and Nintendo are provided). The lower level of the house is home to bedrooms 4 and 5. Bedroom 4 has two sets of bunk beds (twin beds) and one single bed. Bedroom 5 has a queen size bed. There is a nearby full bathroom that offers a walk-in shower, single bowl vanity, and toilet.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire house.

The home is part of a Homeowner's Association (Hidden Valley Foundation). Guests have access to the HOA's outdoor swimming pool, playgrounds, sports courts, walking paths, outdoor fitness trail, and social and recreational events. The swimming pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. The pool hours are as follows (subject to change and weather dependent):

Monday-Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Friday-Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Sunday & Holidays: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

Guests will also have access to the shuttle bus that is provided by the HOA. The shuttle drives on a continuous route. Guests can be picked up at any of the bus stations.

Guests are permitted to fish in Lakes Helen and George. Swimming in the lakes are not permitted.

Guests can access the ski slopes from either side- Valley side or Summit side. Both sides are within walking distance. Please note: The Valley Side opens first during ski season and the Summit side opens as conditions allow.

We encourage guests to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Guests can use any firewood that is left at the pit. However, firewood is not provided. Guests can purchase firewood at nearby vendors.

Guests are not permitted to use the hot tub.

Interaction with Guests:
Al Meucci Real Estate is on-call 24/7. In the event that a guest experiences maintenance problems during their stay, they can contact Michele or Maddie at anytime using the phone numbers provided at check-in.

This is not a pet friendly house.

The charging station is for electric vehicles and has a Types 1 & 2 plugs.

Exterior security cameras are in use.

Per HOA Policy, neither RV's nor fireworks are permitted.

We strongly encourage guests to have all-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicles during the winter. The gravel driveway is steep.

The pictures of the house on the website are good but pictures can’t explain how great this property truly is. The house and the area are great. The only issue we ran into was our friends and family love to play cornhole and outdoor games/activities and there is no flat ground outside anywhere on the property. We made it work however. The only other disadvantage is the hot tub is not available for anyone but the owners. I do not remember seeing this in any of the communication when booking but when we arrived it’s not available for the residents staying. It should be clearly marked or be available for who’s staying on the property for the cost charged per night. We would definitely stay at this location again."
