Located at the top of the mountain in Wintergreen Resort, which is located in beautiful (one stoplight) Nelson County, and just southwest of Charlottesville, VA (Monticello and the University of Virginia). Wintergreen is the perfect mountain retreat for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking, biking, golf, tennis, skiing, and other activities, as well as those who just want to kick back and relax. Locally, there are many interesting activities, such as many breweries and vineyards, shopping, fishing, kayaking, apple picking, and sightseeing at significant historical sites.
Our spacious, 3000-plus-square-foot, luxury, vacation home is conveniently located just approximately 100 steps away from the Tyro ski slope and across the street from a hiking trail. Our home has the true mountain feeling with a wonderful wooded site and some views of the ski slopes and the mountains.
This non-smoking home features:

Eagle's Lookout is located in Wintergreen's Treeloft Village, just 100 steps from the ski slopes. Our house delivers stunning year-round Southwest views from almost every room. Adjacent to protected greenspace and actually perched above a scenic overlook, you'll enjoy winter sunsets in a quiet, peaceful setting and be the first to take advantage of new snow by rolling out of bed and hitting the slopes!

All the comforts of home during your mountain getaway... Inside, vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows open the space. The updated kitchen and baths all boast granite counters and new fixtures. The dining area seats 6-7 people comfortably, and the living room features leather seating and a wood burning fireplace for cozy evenings. The master bedroom has a king bed and private bath, and the 2nd downstairs guest room has a queen bed and a rollaway cot available. A spiral staircase leads to the upstairs loft bedroom with two sets of bunks and its own tv area. Great for the kids! All rooms have flatscreen cable TVs and WiFi internet is included.

Guests really appreciate our enlarged back deck, with a new gas grill and gorgeous year-round view! And a heated mudroom addition provides a washer/dryer & plenty of room to suit up for the slopes and store all your gear out of the way. This is a feature very rare in Wintergreen slope side houses!

In summer come to escape the heat at Wintergreen! Typical mountaintop highs only in the 70s make this a perfect place for outdoor fun. We are within walking distance of the Mountain Inn, gift shop and restaurants, Blackrock Market, the Discovery Ridge Adventure Center and multiple hiking trailheads. In October, our deck is the spot for soaking in the Fall colors! And cooler temps make autumn the perfect time for golf at Stoney Creek and to enjoy the many outdoor activities in the valley. Planning ahead? We have the perfect winter location! Our home is across the street from the Eagle's Swoop run at the top of the Big Acorn Lift. This ski area is rated intermediate. Eagle's Swoop is one of the first runs to open each season and operates for both day & night sessions. It is only about a 2-minute walk to the slope… Easy to stop home for cocoa or ski to the Mountain Inn for dinner, yet far enough so you won't be bothered by the snowblowers and night skiers in the evenings.

(Note: No central AC in these original Treeloft houses, but cool summer nights, the 3500 ft elevation and mountain breezes usually do the job well, as our many repeat summer guests will attest. And we do provide single AC units in each of the downstairs rooms and many extra fans just in case of the rare extreme heat!)

This quaint remodeled Austrian styled 3BR/2BA ski chalet just one row off the Tyro Slopes. The unit has been completely renovated inside and out including new siding, new insulation, new kitchen, new bathrooms with heated floors, all new flooring and paint throughout, new deck, and expanded parking. This house is extremely convenient to all of the amenities of Wintergreen, a Four Season resort nestled next to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Nelson County. The house is less than 1 minute from the main resort and ski lifts. You can ski in/out by walking down our rear steps and between the houses behind us on Tyro slope. No need to drive and park at the resort.

There's plenty of drama in this house featuring the main floor great room with a whole house cathedral ceiling and wood stove. The completely rebuilt wrap around deck overlooks the Tyro slope and has fantastic mountain and valley views of Waynesboro and Crozet. Downstairs are 3 bedrooms all with new foam mattress beds (Queen/Queen/2 Twins) and linens. There is a cozy screen room off the master that also has mountain views. There is parking for three vehicles in the newly expanded parking pad out front, plus street parking behind the house on Tyro Lane.

There are two completely remodeled full baths, one includes a stacked front load high efficiency full sized washer and dryer. The gourmet kitchen is spacious and bright and has a stove, exhaust hood, refrigerator with an ice/water dispenser, microwave, dishwasher and disposal. There is a full set of dishes, utensils, and glasses to easily handle 6 guests.

The dining table expands to seat 8, and the large, plush leather sofa in the living area is a great space to pile in for movie night. The stone wood-burning fireplace is available for your use, and we've included instructions that make it easy to have a crackling fire in no time (wood not incl). The BlueTooth surround sound system hooks to your phone with the touch of a button, and the house is stocked with books and games. We've even supplied a telescope for stargazing and wildlife spotting! It's easy to come in, curl up, and feel at home.

The two main floor bedrooms and spa inspired bathrooms are designed to help guests rest and recharge after active days on the mountain. The luxury memory foam mattresses are new and topped with plush velvet quilts and linen cotton duvets. There are plenty of pillows, lots of storage space, luggage racks, and at least 4 USB ports in each room. The Blue Ridge king bedroom has a gorgeous seasonal mountain view; there's nothing like seeing the colors of a sunrise peeking through the Blue Ridge. Of course, sleek new blackout shades and high powered ceiling and table top fans keep you cool and sleeping well past sunrise if that’s more your style. The Wintergreen king bedroom boasts local art and a dedicated work space.

The bathrooms brand new mountain spa inspired tile showers, heated tile floors, granite countertops and are stocked with luxury amenities, a first aid kit, hair dryers, and plenty of clean, fluffy towels. There is a washer and dryer in the cabin, with laundry soap supplied.

Outside you'll find a large deck with gorgeous seasonal mountain views and year round views of the Lower Tyro ski slope, just a few steps away. In the spring and summer, the mountains peek through the treetops, making this feel like your own private treehouse. Plush deck seating, a warm propane fire pit, and a sparkling brand new hot tub draw will make you want to spend all your time outside. A new Solo Pi Pizza oven and gas grill are provided for easy dinner prep. The deck dining table expands to seat a crowd, and the propane amenities turn on with the touch of a button. Easy dinners and all the ambiance and warmth of a fire with none of the work!

Part of the deck is covered, so you start your day with yoga in the summer (we provide mats) air sit by the fire and watch the snow fall in winter. The front of the home has an exterior ski closet and an EV charging outlet (please bring your own cord).

The third floor Wildflower Suite is a sleeping loft at the top of the spiral staircase. This brand new flex space can accommodate a couple, a family, teens or any other group of four. One queen bed and a daybed with a trundle ensure that everyone can be comfortable together. The room has two high powered fans, more USB ports than we can count, and individual reading lights, charging outlets, and storage shelves. The entertainment space has games, puzzles, a Roku TV, and a video game console stocked with vintage Nintendo games. It might be guests staying here to come down and join the rest of the group! The loft overlooks the main living area, and the opening can be closed with the sound and light blocking curtains.

Guests can walk from the Treetop Chalet to the Lower Tyro ski slope in less than one minute. That makes coming home for lunch during a busy day of skiing easy! It's that same distance to the hiking trail entrance. The location is perfect for families with lots of different activity and endurance levels! Park your car, avoid the crowded lodge and lines, and ski in and out as you like!

You'll access the home via a keyless entry touchpad. Your welcome and check in is contactless, for your safety and privacy. Parking is simple, three spots right in front of the home. No long walks lugging groceries or gear - the front door is 3 steps from the parking area. You'll have access to the full house, with the exception of the locked owner's closet and basement storage area.

The cabin, like most Wintergreen properties, does not have central air. It is typically 10-20 degrees cooler on the mountain than in the valley, and because of that, guests are usually very comfortable just opening the windows. There are two high powered fans in each room if you like it cooler.

This property is about 1230 square feet. It is designed to accommodate families, and is not well suited to groups of 8 adults. We're sad to say you will want to choose another property for your big girl or guy getaway. Plugging in all those hairdryers and running them at once will trip the circuit - trust us!

As you make the short drive up the Wintergreen mountain, you can start to feel the stress fading away. When you arrive at the home, 20+ steps down lead you to Pedlars Horizon’s yellow front door. Entering this luxurious non-smoking cabin, you'll be greeted by mountain views from the family room, kitchen, deck, office, and master bedroom.

Once inside, you'll find everything you need on one level: two bedrooms (one master/king room with adjoining sunroom and one twin room) share an updated hall bath with tub/shower combo. There is a main-floor office nook with printer and a lovely mountain view, while the heart of the home features a vaulted great room with a stunning mountain view and decorative fireplace adjoining an all-new, on-trend kitchen (c. 2019 with stainless, marble, open shelving, All-Clad, Le Creuset, Nespresso, Keurig, and more). The dining table seats six, while four more can comfortably sit at the breakfast bar.

Pedlars Horizon also offers a second floor master bedroom with sunrise mountain views upstairs (all bedrooms offer room-darkening shades). With the other bedroom on the second floor you’ll find a tranquil garden-view room with a queen bed. The renovated upstairs bathroom features double vanities and a tub/shower combo. A half-walled catwalk leads you to the full-size laundry area with plenty of storage for luggage and gear.

The lower floor provides ample room for games, puzzles, or movie nights, including a second decorative fireplace.

For you skiers, Pedlars Horizon is only a five-minute walk to an access trail to the Tyro ski slope.

The house easily sleeps eight. There are two queen size beds (one main and second level), two full beds with a twin bunk on top (in loft and basement), and full futon in basement. The kitchen has a blender, crockpot, Keurig, french press, microwave, toaster oven and basic cooking items. There are towels, wash cloths, blow dryer, linens, pillows, and extra blankets for every bed. There is a deck overlooking the forest with gas grill, hammock, table, chairs, and umbrella for delightful outdoor meals. There is a hot tub on the basement level. Two cars will fit in the parking area and there is also on-the-street parking; but with multiple cars, you may want to carpool from the lodge lot. The ski slope is .2 miles at the end of the street (trail marked with pink ribbon). The slope there, Tyro, is not always operational the entire season; however, you can walk down to the Big Acorn lift.

The main level offers an open plan living, dining, and kitchen area with gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The living room is perfect for entertaining but still cozy and inviting. The kitchen is fully-equipped with stainless steel appliances, oven, fridge, dishwasher, built-in microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of counter space to prepare a delicious meal.

The dining table seats 8 comfortably - 10 if needed - and there is an additional table on the upper level that seats 6. Both dining and living areas boast painted white wood-paneled cathedral ceilings. The living room has overstuffed, slip-covered seating, a smart TV for streaming your favorite shows, and a wood burning fireplace. It is open to the kitchen area so you can enjoy a cocktail while chatting with the chefs!

The main level offers a large master suite with king bed (& down comforter!) and smart TV. The master bath has a double vanity and a large steam shower - perfect to soothe those tired muscles after a day on the slopes or hiking trails! There is also a cozy queen bedroom with another attached full bathroom.

There is access from both the main floor living room and master bedroom to a huge wrap-around deck with a dining table to seat eight and a large gas grill. The deck faces the private, oversized lot (>1 acre) with protected open space beyond for year-round privacy plus year-round mountain views. See if you can find the cool cave under the large rock outcropping!

Up the custom craftsman staircase is a large bedroom with a double bed as well as a loft area with two more twin beds and an additional table for puzzles, games, or additional dining for six. It's the perfect spot to stash the kiddos!

The lower level offers a very spacious second family room with foosball table, new smart TV, Wii game system with dozens of games and oversized reclining leather couches. There is also a second, large master suite with king bed, double closet and ensuite full bathroom. Finally, an additional queen bedroom and a fourth full bath are accessed from the lower level family room. This level also offers walk out access to a second deck with the hot tub, swinging loveseat, and more great views.

Bedding in the house includes down duvets and comfy pillows - our guests rave about the comfort of our beds!

Beautiful as it is, this home doesn't skimp on practicality, either. Strong WiFi (fiber optic service) and streaming TVs. Three Echo Bluetooth speakers. A large laundry/mud room with new washer/dryer and space to store jackets & ski gear is at the entrance of the main level, just inside the welcoming front porch. The home has new central heating and cooling - and two new Mitsubishi mini-split units - to keep your group comfortable in all weather.

There's plenty of parking, including a two-bay parking area at street level and room for at least three additional vehicles in the main driveway. The driveway is somewhat steep; if it is snowing or icy, we do recommend four-wheel-drive or tire chains.

You'll love this location. It is about 400 yards to the public access to the Tyro ski slope, less than three minutes in the car to drive to the restaurants and main lodge area, about 5 minutes to the spa and indoor & outdoor pools, and 8 minutes to the Appalachian Trail access. If you want to venture further, the famous Devil's Backbone Brewery is just 10 minutes down the mountain, and more of Nelson County's famous Route 151 breweries, wineries, cideries, and even a distillery are within 20-25 minutes' drive.

The Space:
Floor plan is made for entertaining with friends and family, (or multiple families) or even well suited for your corporate getaway. With 5 private bedrooms on 3 floors, people can spread out! Entering on the second level is a spacious great room with soaring cathedral ceiling, and a gorgeous native stone gas fireplace. The huge deck overlooking the mountains is the perfect spot for that glass of wine. The kitchen and dining area is open to the great room and feature granite countertops, custom maple cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. This floor also has a guest suite, with queen size bed and private bath leading to deck. There is also a laundry room and powder room.

The third level has a spacious master suite with king bed, maximum mountain views, soaking tub, and heated towel bar. A second master suite with king bed and full bath and additional sweeping views is across the hall.

The first level is great for children, or children at heart to lounge or challenge each other to game or two. Maybe even give parents time for a nap! A fourth bedroom with king and full bath allows for additional private accommodations and still leaves the fifth room with two bunk bed sets that the kids will love.

Welcome to our oasis in the mountains! This comfortable, spacious, and airy 4 bedroom/3 bathroom (approx 2600 square feet) is the perfect getaway. The house is located on a quiet street with wonderful seasonal views and just 250 steps from the ski slopes. The home boasts two decks and a private master room balcony.

This newly renovated, well decorated home sits on a quiet street and 250 steps of Wintergreen slopes. You will love warming up by the fireplace in an open concept main level or preparing your own meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, which features new stainless steel appliances. Dining table seats 6 and breakfast bar seats 4. The main level also features a home movie projector with sonos speakers. Enjoy meals and drinks on the two level balcony.

There are plenty of hiking trails within walking distance of the house or it is a 10 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dining is available on the mountain at the Edge and the Copper Mine. The area is also well known for local breweries, cideries, and wineries.

Ski In & Out on Upper Tyro! This family-friendly 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom mountain home is located right on the slopes. Just a short 0.4-mile walk to the Wintergreen Mountain Inn and Market, this three-story retreat is perfect for families, friend groups, that want the ultimate in skiing and boarding convenience!

The master bedroom features a king bed with a private bath. Two additional bedrooms offer queen beds—one with an en-suite bath and the other with a full bath across the hall. The lower level includes a cozy second den—perfect for kids—with two sets of twin bunk beds and its own full bath with shower.

Whip up meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or head over to the resort and grab a bite at The Edge, The Copper Mine, or Upper Crust. We have parking for two vehicles at the house and additional vehicles can be parked at the Outlook around the corner or over at the resort for no charge.

Please note we are on the slopes and the snowmaking does cover the property with snow at times. We are Ski In/Out when Upper Tyro slope is open, but we have no control of the ski conditions and what slopes are open. Last year Upper Tyro opened on January 4th. Generally, Eagles Swoop opens first and is easily accessible via a short walk up from our house. Also, Upper Tyro is an Intermediate slope, but beginners can head over to the Resort to hit the easy slopes until they are ready to move up to Intermediate and then ski back over to our side of the mountain.

You will have access to the entire home. You can walk a few houses down and access the Wintergreen slopes from there.

The house has two main level primary bedrooms (king beds) with attached ensuites. The main bedroom also has a designated workspace with connection tot he back deck.

The upstairs loft has a bunkbed and two twins. It is open to the family room down below with a spiral staircase.

Only two vehicles can park in the driveway when it snows and the other vehicles must be parked on the lookout point. If cars are on the road during the plow, they may be towed.

For guests staying more than a week, the Pet Fee for each pet is an additional $90/week. For one week or less, it would be at a regular charge of $90/pet max of two pets only.

All of the appliances were top notch and the Keurig coffee maker had everything that was needed. Beds were very comfortable and each room had its own thermostat. During the summer, enjoy Sherando Lake and Lake Monocan with sandy beach entrances, or take a dip in the heated community pool.

- While there are 4 steps required to access the property, once inside on the main level is a bedroom with full bathroom, plus the kitchen, living / dining area, and deck.

- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and deck. Each bedroom, plus the great room and the downstairs living room, features a smart TV where you can access all the main streaming services.

- Be sure to unclip the hot tub cover before removing it.
- Please do not put anything besides people in the hot tub (like mulch or toys).
- If the water level doesn’t cover the jets, you can use the hose to add water. Please disconnect the hose when done, especially in cold weather when it could freeze.
- Always put the cover on the hot tub when not in use - this keeps the hot tub warm & filled with water. Using the plastic clips helps keep it from blowing off.
- For safety reasons, please don’t add chemicals to the hot tub yourself. If the water looks murky or has a smell, let us know, and we'll have our hot tub expert come by to treat it.
- Do not drain the hot tub.
- There's no need to turn off the hot tub. It may run the jets on low periodically to circulate water through the filter—that’s totally normal.
- Use plastic drinkware around the hot tub.

- "Family bonding time with husband, son, daughter-in-law and two grand boys. The home was spotless - open with wonderful views. Everything we needed was at our fingertips - even pencils for games and flashlights throughout the house. Location is great - close to the slopes and snow tubing. We will return to try the snow tubing! Perfect winter break!" - "Spacious and clean house with good amenities. Kitchen is well stocked (Crockpot, good knives, sliverware, cast iron skillet, InstantPot, etc). - "There were a few little hiccups, the top bunk bar was not attached (not an issue as it wasn’t fully needed) and the oven was broken but I message the owner and he replied back very quickly. Neither were an issue for us. The house was perfect! Plenty of cooking supplies for our crew of 12. We loved the deck and spent plenty of time out there and there were more than enough towels for everyone. The check out rules were very clear and reasonable. I would say that something should be listed for the steep grade of the driveway. I don’t think that a small car could easily get out, my mini van front bumper scraped while pulling out, that’s more of just a heads up for future renters. We absolutely would stay here again! These photos are at checkout after stripping all the bedding, the beds were made beautifully upon arrival and even had little towel animals in bathrooms! "

The space
Our home offers accommodation for six guests with (2) King and (1) Queen beds. The kitchen has full-sized appliances and is fully furnished for brewing morning coffee and cooking for the whole family. Dirty Clothes? No problem, our home has a full-sized washer and dryer.

Our home offers a remote-work friendly environment with a small workspace in one of the bedrooms. The house is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and a Samsung smart TV in the living area and smart TVs in the bedrooms.

The property has a deck with table & chairs and a Weber gas grill for outdoor enjoyment. There is designated parking for two vehicles with additional street parking available.

The Sapphire Squirrel is in close proximity to the slopes (~3 min walk) with access to Lower Tyro when skiing and boarding is your focus.

Aside from the skiing, Wintergreen offers four seasons of adventure. There are plenty of options for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, tubing, swimming, golfing, tennis, and apple picking. Wintergreen has over 14 miles of hiking trails on the mountain including Shamokin Falls!

For those looking to chill and enjoy some entertainment, Wintergreen is convenient to the Route 151 scene. A quick google search for "Nelson County 151" will give you details for the craft beverage trail including numerous breweries, wineries, distilleries, and cideries along the famous 151.

Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 13.6 (Reids Gap) is a short drive (~10 min) from our home. Sherando Lake is a state park (~25 min) that offers a beautiful lake for swimming, fishing, and trails.

If you want to venture out to town, Waynesboro is nearby (~25 min) and offers all the restaurants, stores, and conveniences you might expect. Charlottesville is a bit further and of course home to the University of Virginia and many other attractions.

Forgot something? Blackrock Market is less than 1 mile away, also on the top of the mountain. It offers groceries, gas and beer/wine. They also have a deli serving breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas.

Guests will have full access to the home, including a lockable exterior closet for skis and storage (guests will receive a door code for closet). Guests can enjoy the deck and the Weber gas grill (propane included). The Property includes parking spaces for 2 vehicles.

Other things to note
Please note our ski access is off of Lower Tyro slope. Lower Tyro does not have lighting for night skiing. Please check ski report for status of Lower Tyro and we suggest reviewing the Wintergreen trail map to understand the trails and lift servicing our home.

Due to the elevation (over 3000ft) and mountain climate, many of the houses at Wintergreen (including ours) are not air conditioned. We have portable AC units in the main living area and the loft. Both king bedrooms have a ceiling fan and additional fans are located in the closets.

Wintergreen has a policy that does not allow motorcycles on the mountain. If planning to ride motorcycles, you will have to park them at the base of the mountain at the Wintergreen Security Office.

Our home is non-smoking and we do not allow pets.

The space
Our mountain home Livin' On The Edge is a cozy two story house, well appointed for fireside laughs with your tribe of favorite humans or your furry friends. The kitchen is ready for your biggest family feast or just heating up pizza! No judgement here.

The home has three bedrooms, split between two levels. The upstairs is the main living space with the fully stocked kitchen, beautiful large oak dining room table, the large stone fireplace and den area, 1/2 bathroom and master bedroom with ensuite private bathroom. This makes it perfect for a romantic getaway for two, you and your besties, or larger family gatherings.

Downstairs, are the other two bedrooms with queen beds in each. A shared bathroom, and bunk beds to expand the sleeping arrangements located in the large living room/game room.

Both floors have access to a patio which both extend across the front of the house. The upstairs deck has an outdoor couch and gas firepit for nights hanging out in the cool mountain air. You'll find a bluetooth speaker on the counter for bringing your tunes with you outside.

Although we are very close to the slopes we are not a ski in ski out home. Two adult ski passes are included in all two night stays.

The entire home is for your use. This is a single family home with private driveway and entrance. This is not a condo or townhouse.

The kitchen is well equipped for cooking for two or for a large crowd. Food storage containers, knives, grilling utensils, a large butcher block counter top for food prep. There are a variety of seasonings, olive oil, vinegar, coffee, sugar etc.

Please note although the house is perfect for families, with it being two levels, you may want to bring a baby gate for safety. We have hosted multiple families with children, but be aware there are many steps. The upstairs patio has a latched gate, but it is not child proof! There is also a ladder in the living room that leads to a play nook for older children, but is not safe for small toddlers/young children. We recommend blocking this or moving aside for safety reasons.
There is a charging station with multiple ports on the main level, two Alexa's, Wifi with top speeds for streaming, video conferencing etc. USB outlets in each room in the house.

Although there is currently no AC, there are portable units in both master bedroom closets. There are many windows as well allowing a beautiful breeze and fresh mountain air. There are several fans in the house as well.

The driveway is gravel, and very steep, all wheel or four wheel drive strongly recommended. The driveway currently fits 4 - 6 cars depending on their size.
For those avid skiers or snowboarders, pack your bags, there is only a 4 minute walk to a shortcut where you can drop right in to the slopes. Tip: Rent your equipment ahead of time, buy your lift ticket online to skip the lines and head directly to the slopes!!!

The space
There's a ton to do in the area! Bear Ridge Retreat is about a mile to the ski slopes and a few minutes’ drive to all the dining, attractions, and hiking at Wintergreen. If you’re willing to venture a bit further, some of the best hiking trails in the state are off the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes from the house), and there are over dozen wineries, breweries, and distilleries within a 30 minute drive. During the summer, enjoy Sherando Lake and Lake Monocan with sandy beach entrances, or take a dip in the heated community pool.

- Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more.
- The property can accommodate 4 to 5 cars, depending on whether you're comfortable blocking one in the driveway.
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks. All bedrooms, plus the living room and game room, feature smart TVs where you can access all the main streaming services.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Linens and towels provided

The space
This cozy, vintage cabin has been fully modernized and updated to ensure your total enjoyment. We designed each room for maximum efficiency and total comfort. Vaulted shiplap ceilings, exposed beams, four flat screen TVs, multiple charging stations, updated fixtures and luxury furnishings surround you.

The main level has an open concept kitchen, dining and living space. The kitchen is stocked with oils, spices, baking basics (even mountain-themed squirrel and bear cookie cutters!) and stainless steel appliances. The knives are sharp, pots are new, and if you'd rather spend your day on the hiking trails or slopes, the crockpot feeds a crowd. The dining table expands to seat 8, and the large, plush leather sofa in the living area is a great space to pile in for movie night. The stone wood-burning fireplace is available for your use, and we've included instructions that make it easy to have a crackling fire in no time (wood not included). The BlueTooth surround sound system hooks to your phone with the touch of a button, and the house is stocked with books and games. We've even supplied a telescope for stargazing and wildlife spotting!

The two main floor bedrooms and spa inspired bathrooms were designed to help guests rest and recharge after active days on the mountain. The luxury memory foam mattresses are new and topped with plush velvet quilts and linen cotton duvets. There are plenty of pillows, lots of storage space, luggage racks, and at least 4 USB ports in each room. The Blue Ridge king bedroom has a gorgeous seasonal mountain view. Blackout shades and high powered ceiling and table top fans keep you cool and sleeping well past sunrise if that’s more your style. The Wintergreen king bedroom boasts local art and a dedicated work space.

The bathrooms feature brand new mountain spa inspired tile showers, heated tile floors, granite countertops, and are stocked with luxury amenities, hair dryers, and plenty of clean, fluffy towels. There is a washer and dryer in the cabin, with laundry soap supplied.

Outside you'll find a large deck with gorgeous seasonal mountain views and year round views of the Lower Tyro ski slope, just a few steps away. In the spring and summer, the mountains peek through the treetops, making this feel like your own private treehouse. A gas grill is provided for easy, year round grilling. The deck dining table expands to seat a crowd, and the gas fire pit turns on with the touch of a button. The fire pit is under a covered portion of the deck, so you start your day with yoga in the mountain fog in the summer (we provide mats) and can sit by the fire and watch the snow fall in ski season. The front of the home has an exterior ski closet and an EV charging outlet (please bring your own cord).

The upstairs Wildflower Suite is a sleeping loft at the top of the spiral staircase. This brand new flex space can accommodate a couple, a family, teens or any other group of four. One queen bed and a daybed with a trundle ensure that everyone can be comfortable together. The room has two high powered fans, more USB ports than we can count, and individual reading lights, charging outlets, and storage shelves. The entertainment space has games, puzzles, a Roku TV, and a video game console stocked with vintage Nintendo games. The loft overlooks the main living area, and the opening can be closed with the sound and light blocking curtains.

Guests can walk from the Treetop Chalet to the Lower Tyro ski slope in less than one minute. That makes coming home for lunch during a busy day of skiing easy! It's that same distance to the hiking trail entrance. The location is perfect for families with lots of different activities and endurance levels!

The Mountain Inn and Wintergreen amenities (including the Market) are a short drive (less than 5 minutes) or a scenic 15 minute walk away.

You'll access the home via a keyless entry touchpad. Parking is simple with three spots right in front of the home.

Other things to note
The cabin, like most Wintergreen properties, does not have central air conditioning. Don't worry - you won't be hot! It is typically 10-20 degrees cooler on the mountain than in the valley, and because of that, guests are usually very comfortable just opening the windows.

There are two high powered fans in each room if you like it cooler.

We are pet friendly! Up to two dogs are welcome with a $100 pet fee (just include the pets in the "guest count" section and the fee will automatically be added in).

While the cabin looks and feels like it is upon the trees, and we lovingly refer to it as our treehouse, rest assured its foundation is firmly planted on the ground. No part of the structure is tree-dependent, it just feels like you’re nestled up there!

This property is about 1230 square feet. It is designed to accommodate families or up to 6 adults, and is not well suited to groups of 8 adults. We're sad to say you will want to choose another property for your big girl or guy getaway. Plugging in all those hairdryers and running them at once will trip the circuit - trust us!

Just steps from one of Wintergreen’s most scenic overlooks, offering a spectacular view which can be enjoyed seasonally from the back deck! We are within walking distance to some of the mountain’s best hiking trails. The Good Life is the sister property to "Eagle's Terrace", our ski in/ski out condo on right on Eagle's Swoop.

Our mountain home offers 1,250 sf of living space with high vaulted ceilings, 2 large bedrooms on the main level and a spacious loft on the second level, perfect for the kids! Central AC installed Spring 2023.

The kitchen is stocked with everything one might need to make a delicious meal, brew a fantastic cup of coffee or pour a fabulous glass of wine! Relax in the living room and cozy up in front of the wood burning fire place or watch a movie on the 53” Smart TV.

Our bedrooms are furnished with comfortable and cozy beds & linens. We have a washer and dryer and provide laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and dish washer detergent.

The master bedroom has a desk and work space should one need to check into reality while enjoying the mountains.

In addition to the Smart TV in the living room, the loft and master bedroom also have Smart TVs. We also offer plenty of board games and books.

Please Note! You will receive the access code the morning of your arrival. You will have access to the entire house and large, renovated deck that wraps around the back of the home complete with outdoor seating and gas grill. During the summer, this is our favorite place to sit under the canopy of trees! And in the fall, winter and spring, enjoy beautiful, seasonal views of the Blue Ridge... don’t miss the sunset! Off street parking for 2 vehicles. Only 12 steps down to the front door.

Other things to note
Wintergreen is a four-season resort. While there is plenty of skiing during the winter (a big welcome to Indy Pass holders!) many other adventures can be enjoyed throughout the rest of the year. Miles of hiking trails, a beautiful golf course, tennis, Lake Monocan and the Discovery Ridge Adventure Center. When it is time to relax and rejuvenate, book a treatment at the Wintergreen Spa or try one of the two pools, Chestnut Springs and Rodes Farm on a warm, summer day (open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, 2-6pm daily). Rodes Farm also has tennis and archery. Venture off the mountain and visit a local brewery or winery... we are a short drive to Nelson 151 breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries. Pick berries at Critzer family farm or plan a day trip to the Blue Ridge Tunnel, Natural Bridge, Luray Caverns, Sky Line Drive, Charlottesville or Staunton. There is so much to enjoy, all year round. *Please note, the Wintergarten Pool, hot tubs, fitness center, Devils Knob Golf and Tennis and Devils Knob Grill are only available to Wintergreen members. Lake Monocan is open to all guests Sunday through Friday, reserved for WTG members only on Saturdays.* (Open from Memorial Day through Labor Day)

Ski Information:
Our mountain home is located just 150 yards from the top of Eagle's Swoop. Walk back up Pinnacle Drive to the top of the fork and then across the street. It is marked with a chain across the service entrance and this is where the chairlift disembarks. You have a choice of THREE BLACK DIAMOND slopes (Big Acorn, Upper Sunrise and Sunrise Glades) and FIVE BLUE SQUARE slopes (Eagle Swoop, Upper Tyro, Lower Tyro, Tequila and Lower Sunrise) Please note, Black Diamond slopes are Most Difficult and for expert skiers only. Blue Squares are More Difficult. If Green Circle slopes are required for beginners, they can be found by the Resort just a very quick drive from the house.

When the trails are open, access is limited to ticketed skiers only. Wintergreen ski lift tickets operate using RFID cards which can be purchased or picked up at the resort ticket and rentals office. Visit the WTG website. Once purchased, these cards can then be reloaded online without having to go to the ticket window. If you do not have one of the reloadable cards and need to purchase a lift ticket, simply walk up to Eagle Swoop and ski down the hill to the ticket office. From there, with a valid ticket/card you can start to use the chairlifts back up the mountain. When you want to take a break, simply step off of the Big Acorn chairlift and walk back to our home!

When the trails are not open for skiing, this is an excellent place to hike, bring the pup for a good run or enjoy a picnic lunch and take in the incredible views of the Blue Ridge!

The Market: Located at the corner of Mountain Inn Loop and Blackrock Drive. Just a short walk or drive from the house... Convenient market offering basic food staples and sundries, hot breakfast sandwiches and coffee, great lunch sandwiches and a selection of wine and beer.

Down the Mountain:
Blue Ridge Grocery (IGA) and Dollar General can be found in Nellysford on Route 151.

*No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside and outside the cabin. No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

*Booking Guest Age Minimum : 25 or older, Host reserves the ability to check ID.

*Occupancy: The maximum number of guests allowed is as per the booking details. No additional overnight guests are permitted without prior approval from the owner.

*Local Laws & Ordinances: Guests must comply with all local laws, rules, and ordinances during their stay.

*Pets: 2 Dogs less than 50 lbs ea allowed with a one-time $50 pet fee per week. Must be paid when booking. Exceptions may be made for registered service animals, but please notify us in advance. If approved, guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not cause damage or disturbances. Pets are not to be left alone unless crated. No pets on the beds please.

"Bedroom 4" is the loft bedroom/sleeping area on second level adjacent to Owner Suite and it opens to the living room. It has a twin daybed with a trundle bed underneath.

Game room in detached heated/cooled garage complete with Brunswick pool table (w/ ping pong option), 50" Smart TV, sofa, recliner, and game table and chairs. TONS of games!

New Queen pull out memory foam mattress sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping options.

Relaxing hot tub on private back deck with umbrella cover when desired. Hot tub is cleaned and serviced after every guest checks out.

We want everyone to have a wonderful time! Please be aware that using the hot tub is at your own discretion and we kindly ask that you supervise children closely while they are using the hot tub.

Enjoy gathering with friends and family in the comfy chairs around the built-in propane fire pit. Cook amazing outdoor meals on the gas grill, and take in serene and peaceful woods with your morning coffee sitting on the log rocking chairs. S’mores tools are in the drawer in the kitchen!! If the propane runs out during your stay (we keep a full canister in the corner of the porch, there is a market around the corner to swap out for a full one).

Plenty of board games, playing cards, and puzzles for kids and adults alike. Both in bunk room and game room!

High chair, Pack n Play with sheets(please let host know if you need this so we can have it ready), and a baby gate. Back deck has gates and Bunk Room has child safety locks.

The property can accommodate 4 to 5 cars, depending on whether you're comfortable blocking some of them in.

Please respect our neighbors! If you are disrespectful / loud and asked to vacate, there will be no refund. No candles, fireworks, or open fires (except at the provided firepit, if applicable) and No refunds due to bad weather

We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you book. There are no additional fees beyond those listed here.

High-speed internet throughout the home. Roku TV's in Family Room, Bunk Room, Game Room and Owner's suite. Stream your favorite shows or watch live tv utilizing Roku devices and your streaming service. Entering your check out date will allow you to be automatically signed out of your log in/service. Roku Remotes are programmed to each specific tv and need to be left by the tv at check out.

You can walk to Tyro Slope (.5 miles away) and it's a short drive (.7 miles ) to the Lodge where you get on the mountain to ski.

The Market is right around the corner and has great sandwiches or any items you may have left at home!

Other things to note
- There are minimal steps required to access the property from the parking spaces, once inside the kitchen, living / dining area are all on main level...as well as access to the deck. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the main floor. One full bedroom and the loft (fourth bedroom) on the second floor.

-We do not have access to the Wintergreen Resort indoor pools/hot tub and spa, but The Moose Lodge does offer things that are not allowed on Wintergreen Resort managed properties such as the outdoor fire pit and grill. The grill runs on propane and there will be a tank onsite with a refill tank if needed. If you need additional propane, you can have the tank refilled at the market just around the corner.

-We have access to the outdoor pools in the summer (Hours are 2pm-6pm for guests) as well as the tennis courts. These are located at the bottom of the mountain. Stoney Creek Golf Course is a public course and is at the bottom of the mountain as well. Please ask us for information on how to find these amenities. We are happy to help! There are tennis racquets in the game room!

-Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more. There are also places close by to go fishing (check local laws about required fishing license).

- 500 Mps Wifi provided and password is on sheet in the home. Owner's bedroom, bunk room, Family room, and the game room have smart TV's where you can access all your streaming services.

- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options.

- Linens and towels provided. Starter Kit of toiletries (Toilet paper, Paper Towels, Shampoo, Conditioner) provided. There is a local market closeby, but we recommend stopping before you head up the mountain.

- Pack n play, high chair, and tons of games provided

- Guest must be 25 years or older to book and guest that books must be present for the duration of the stay. We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you have completed booking your stay. There are no additional fees in this agreement beyond those listed here.

- No Parties or Events of any kind. Please respect the neighbors! If you are disrespectful / loud and asked to vacate, there will be no refund. Also, quiet hours are from 11PM to 7AM.

- No candles, fireworks, or open fires except at the provided firepit. No smoking of any kind in the home or in the game room. Please make sure you are familiar with extinguisher location(s) before operating the firepit. There will be a $500 fine to remove the smoke if there is smoking in the home or in the Gameroom.

Also, the bunk room is off of a large drop zone area down a few steps, but there are no doors that closed that bedroom off.

Welcome to our oasis in the mountains! This comfortable, spacious, and airy 4 bedroom/3 bathroom (approx 2600 square feet) is the perfect getaway. The house is located on a quiet street with wonderful seasonal views and just 250 steps from the ski slopes (Lower Tyro). The home boasts two decks and a private master room balcony.

The space
This newly renovated, well decorated home sits on a quiet street and 250 steps to the Wintergreen slopes. You will love warming up by the fireplace in an open concept main level or preparing your own meals in the fully-equipped kitchen, which features new stainless steel appliances. Dining table seats 8 and breakfast bar seats 4. The main level also features a home movie projector with sonos speakers. The lower level is a big recreation room with plenty of seating, ping-pong table, shuffle board and a game table. Enjoy meals and drinks on the two level balcony.

There are plenty of hiking trails within walking distance of the house or it is a 10 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The area is also well known for local breweries, cideries, and wineries. Our home is walking distance to an access point on Lower Tyro. It can be tricky to walk in snow boots to the access point

UPDATE WEATHER:

WINTER: Our home is located on a mountain and as a result the terrain can be hilly/mountainous. We do not recommend driving any cars that are not AWD during the snowy/cold months. Heavy snow may cause surrounding trees/branches to fall. Be careful when walking at the property and when entering/exiting your vehicle. There are approximately 20 steps from the driveway to the front door. We do not have a generator but haven't had trouble with losing power so far as the power lines are buried in the ground. Wintergreen Resort has an excellent dedicated team for clearing resort access roads. There is a snow shovel on the property. We typically have our snow removal team clear the walkway/steps/driveway after all anticipated precipitation has fallen (with an accumulation of more than 6 inches).

The driveway for the the cabin can fit 3-4 cars. Please do not park on the street. During inclement level please park as close to the street as possible while remaining in the driveway. As one guest has noted, our driveway is a little steep at the beginning so please be careful.

Welcome to Goldfinch Perch, the most family-friendly home in Wintergreen. The kids will be fully entertained with the on-site playground, 13' spiral slide, indoor climbing area, toddler village, nerf gun wall, arcades, and more. The space
The house is a 5 minute walk to the Tyro ski slope, or feel free to drive 3 minutes down the road to access all the slopes, dining, and other Wintergreen attractions. If you’re willing to venture a bit further, some of the best hiking trails in the state are off the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes from the house), and there are over dozen wineries, breweries, and distilleries within a 30 minute drive. During the summer, enjoy Sherando Lake and Lake Monocan with sandy beach entrances, or take a dip in the heated community pool.

The home layout is as follows:

Main level:
- Living room with working gas log fireplace
- Dining area with ample space for 10 at the main table, plus another 4 at the adjoining bar
- Fully stocked kitchen with stainless appliances and everything you need to prepare large meals, plus an additional dining area with space for 5 adults or 7 children
- BR 1: King bed with Smart TV
- Bath 1: Full bathroom that connects both to bedroom 1 and also the living room / dining area
- Laundry area with full size washer and dryer
- Deck with brand new 7 person hot tub, barrel sauna, couch seating around the firepit, dining for 8, and propane grill with prep table. Plus, spiral slide leading down to the playground!

Upper level:
- BR 2: Master bedroom with king bed and Smart TV

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home.

Other things to note
- Goldfinch Perch is pet friendly! We allow up to 4 pets with a $100 pet fee (total, not per pet or per night). We provide some helpful supplies for pet-owners.
- Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more.
- While there are 4 steps required to access the property, once inside on the main level is a bedroom with full bathroom, plus the kitchen, living / dining area, and deck.
- There is a large flat parking area right next to the house that can easily hold 6 cars
- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and deck. Each bedroom, plus the great room and the downstairs living room, features a smart TV where you can access all the main streaming services.
- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options
- Linens and towels provided
- Guests can enjoy free community pool access in the summer season (though the HOA rules stipulate no more than 6 guests at a time, and the permitted hours are 2-6pm).
- Pack n play, high chair, baby monitor, toys, and kid dishes / utensils provided
- We do require a separate rental agreement, which we will send a link to e-sign after you book. There are no additional fees beyond those listed here.
- Please respect our neighbors! If you are disrespectful / loud and asked to vacate, there will be no refund. Also, quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM.
- No candles, fireworks, or open fires (except at the provided firepit, if applicable)
- No refunds due to bad weather.
- Please note that if you would like to send packages to the property, you do so at your own risk. USPS is particularly unreliable. We can not be held responsible for late or undelivered packages. Additionally, we charge $25 for any return services requested, in additional to actual postage.
