We also had leftovers from a tailgate party and the staff came with 5 gallon pails of ice to refill the coolers in our truck so the food would make it home. Most importantly we heard absolutely no noise from the other rooms. No doors slamming, toilets flushing, nothing but silence. If you get the chance, come stay at the Rosewood. You will NOT be disappointed."

This bedroom is in a 5000 square feet single family home with ample parking. The Queen bed is comfortable and this room is on the main level so guest don’t have to climb stairs. The best thing about this home is it’s location as bus stop is only 4 minute walk and the metro station is only 2 miles. Grocery store and McDonald’s is only 1 mile. I95 is only 2 miles and MGM Casino is only 4 miles. Joint Base Anacostia Bolling is only 3.2 miles and Alexandria Harbor is only 15 minute drive .

The entire building is bright, sunny and clean. 3 rooms are available. The bedroom's size is ( 8 * 6). The 2 bathrooms, which will be shared. There is a choice for a midsize or small sized room. The small rooms will be nice for a student or a young professional who is not looking for a lot of space. Utilities are ( water, electric, heat and wireless internet ). The room comes furnished and free Wifi. The small-sized rooms are perfect for interns or young professional.

The communal:
The Georgia Ave Apartment is located next to the Petworth/Green Line Metro Station in Washington DC (20 Seconds Away). Walk out of your Apartment and you are in front of the Metro Stop.

Apartment is on Eastern edge of Columbia Heights, one Metro stop past Columbia Heights,1 mile from Adams Morgan and has Decent street parking. It also has easy access to downtown Silver Spring and is Four Metro stops to the Convention Center, Six to Metro Center, Seven to L'Enfant Plaza; Red line is one or five stops away. Under 25 minutes by Metro to the Hill.

The bedrooms are small bedrooms and the kitchen is small with a small dining room area.
Easy bike ride to Adams Morgan, DuPont, Cleveland Park etc. There are a growing number of restaurants and coffee houses.

This is 1 room in a 3 bedroom house (w 2 bathrooms), so there are a few common/shared spaces. Diverse, & gay friendly, large house, free and unzoned parking, full kitchen, dishwasher, laundry, quiet urban area w/lots of trees. 4.5 blks (15-ish min walk about 3/4 mile) from metro (red line).

The space
Ditch the hotel in a strip mall for the REAL AUTHENTIC DC experience in a friendly and diverse neighborhood, very urban but with trees and birds chirping!

1 private bedroom w/Queen bed. 2 bathrooms (one is a half bath) in the house, which are shared b/t the 2 people already living here. So when you arrive 3 people will be sharing 2 bathrooms (one with shower the other half bath).

The pictures posted were done by Airbnb professionally for being a super host last year so the house looks different now. It isn't as shiny and new but still in great shape, the biggest difference is there is more furniture now from a roomate who just moved out and couldn't take it with her.

Cedar fenced backyard with new luxury cushioned patio furniture, chaise, hot tub, propane heater, fire pit, organic herb garden, and vintage cafe globe lights illuminate the backyard. Wonderful setting for enjoying a glass of wine.

I love showing people underground DC spots and I would love to give you advice but I always air on the side of giving you privacy unless you reach out for my help/advice. So let me know! Also, depending on my personal schedule I may or may not be around.

Other things to note
Must be clean! For any long term stays, you will be expected to treat the house and other 2 roomates with respect, act with self-awareness, and treat the home like your own, and participate in weekly chores.

A cleaner will come before and after your stay, but not during it, so you will be expected to clean up after yourself.

Cozy guest space in my private home. Twin bed, projector w/Netflix and Amazon instant video, WiFi, shared full kitchen and full bath w/bathtub, free street parking. The DC metro is a 15 minute walk/5 min bus ride, with Capitol Hill just a few stops away. Free, temporary street parking by metro. 20-25 min train ride to National Mall with no transfers.

This is a small but cozy guest room in my DC townhouse. It is my son’s room, but he does not use it often. This listing is best suited for a solo traveler who is laid back. I work from home, and my son is in elementary school. We are out of the house part of most days and respect the space of our guests. We also have a cat named Kinoko. She keeps to herself and is not allowed in the guest room. If you have an allergy, I will note many of my friends do as well and have had no issue while staying here. If you plan to use the kitchen, let me know in advance.

The kitchen is equipped with a coffee press. No microwave, but there is an oven. Kettle for hot water and tea. Tea, filter water, kettle, & cups are provided in your room. Coffee must be made in the kitchen. Towels and linens are provided, and clothes steamer is available upon request. Consult the guest manual for further guidance of restaurants, transportation, house rules, and things-to-do.

I live in the historic Fort Dupont neighborhood. It's pleasant around here, but be aware that Southeast DC is not as gentrified as other areas of DC. I know my neighbors and consider my neighborhood safe. Very few guests have mentioned feeling uncomfortable, and it has a lot to do with a guest’s level of worldly exposure. It's a 10-15 min walk/5 min bus ride to the Benning Road metro station (blue and silver line), which will take you straight to the Mall and Smithsonian within 20-25min and to Capitol Hill in less than that. Your DC metro card is good for the subway, buses, and shuttles to/from all DMV airports.


Your guest room is next to the master bedroom, with the shared wall being all closets which make for some soundproofing. The shared bathroom is next door to you. It is most common that my guests and I barely see or hear one another. I'll sometimes have a friend over for dinner, but it's rare.

This is a semi-detached townhouse. You may hear some footsteps or mild noise from next door, mild noise from the tv in my room or from the main floor when I occasionally have a friend over for dinner, but overall it’s a very quiet and peaceful place to be.

Private room and shared bathroom. You’re free to use the kitchen, the deck, and the backyard, but please let me know if you plan to. If you wish to prepare proper meals while here, I can accommodate your schedule. There is free street parking that’s very available and what I find more convenient for my own use. Though out of state plates are technically not allowed on any DC residential street overnight on weekdays, this is not enforced due to the amount of interstate travel.

The DC metro card is $2 just for the card. I provide guest metro cards but impose a $2 fee if lost.

During your stay
It’s possible you will not see me or my son much. At most you may hear us. My son and I are friendly, but I like my space and honor that of others, and I always have my phone on me should you need anything.

There is a lockbox with a code that I will provide close to your arrival date.

My main listing is in my basement apartment. Please be mindful when coming/going/using the stairs, as heavy footsteps may disturb them below.
