- "nice location" - "The Jib was the perfect spot for a weekend stay for the three of us (i.e., my husband and me, and our eldest son we brought to Annapolis to drop off at college). This location was perfect for us, in walking distance to the middle of town and everything we wanted to see. We solved the problem of where to park our car by leaving it in a public lot for the weekend. Immaculately clean and equipped with kitchen needs and bathroom soaps, shampoos, creams, etc., everything provided by The Jib was tasteful and practical. We never made much more than coffee during our stay, but the kitchen looked well-outfitted. We loved the big windows and the airy feeling of the bedroom especially. We appreciated the private entrance. It’s important to remember that The Jib is on the second floor; we actually really enjoyed being higher up and looking out the street from up above. After entering, taking the steps up to the second floor, however, requires extra caution because there are a number of stairs that curve to the right before reaching the landing. All in all, our stay at The Jib was delightful! Thank you for helping our time in Annapolis very enjoyable."

Enjoy this one bedroom first floor apartment that's right across from Gate 2 of the U.S. Naval Academy. It's a short 1 block walk onto the USNA yard and 2 blocks to get to all of the restaurants, shops and water taxi on Ego Alley and everything that downtown Annapolis has to offer on Main Street and in Eastport. There are 8 steps to go up to get into the front entrance. Once you enter the front entrance there are no steps to enter the apartment. The apartment has a fully updated kitchen if you'd like to eat in, with a microwave, stove and dishwasher. The full bath has been completely remodeled. This home offers the charm of a historic home with modern day conveniences. Before the recent updates were made Walter Cronkite even stayed in the unit in the early 80's when his sailboat was downtown!

You will have full access to the one bedroom first floor apartment. In addition you have access to shared washer and dryer located in the basement and a shared courtyard and grill out back.

The space
There is 750 square foot of living space including the loft. You have your own private entrance, washer and dryer, water heater, and HVAC unit operated by a Nest thermostat. The only thing shared is the water, electricity and the backyard.

Our tap water is totally the best! You must try it before you bring bottled water.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to stay at home and cook dinner or even bake cookies.

Our sprawling backyard is great for frisbee or football.
We have a fire pit and propane grill you can use.

In the summer, I'm happy to share fresh vegetables and greens for your salad.

We are only 2 blocks from the nearest Metro Bus Stop, only 9 miles from New Carrollton Metro Rail, GreyHound and the Marc Train, we have street parking in a nice quiet neighborhood with little traffic down our one block road.

The Studio Apartment: Tucked in a neighborhood right off of the Highway 50 and Highway 3/301 junction, you are close to everything. Whether you are in the area for work or play, you've picked the best place to stay. Friendly commutes, plenty of shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, ice skating rinks, roller rinks, go-karting, amusement parks, nature parks, even hiking!

Our garage was recently converted into a private executive studio apartment - 288 square feet. Private entrance, private kitchen, living, and sleeping space, and your own private bathroom with a small shower stall. The full size bed accommodates 2 comfortably, there is a single roll-away bed tucked in the closet, and the sofa is nice and comfy, as well.

We like to take care of our guests with complimentary coffee and tea, and our best advice on what's good to eat around here. The studio is excellently appointed with everything you might need to make sure you are set for your time with us. If you forgot something, just ask! We have you covered.

Our Airbnb apartment is located in the modern, first floor addition to the home my grandfather built (literally, all by himself - he was a carpenter) in the early years of the last century in Eastport. You can watch the boats bobbing on Spa Creek while you make coffee in the galley, and then walk or water taxi (check operation during COVID) to downtown attractions. The new South Annapolis Yacht Centre Is our close neighbor and we think our guests will be delighted with the changes SAYC have bought about. The waterfront is totally transformed with the creation of a first class, ecologically progressive, marina, managing over 100% of stormwater run-off with such best practices as a green roof, underdrains, and native species gardens.

The driveway is yours for your stay. When you first arrive, you will walk down the driveway and enter via the long back porch at the rear of the house. Access is by smart lock. We will send you your custom code (you can choose any number that's easy for you to remember) prior to your arrival. (There is a backup lockbox just in case.) When you enter, you will be in the mudroom/laundry room. You are welcome to do laundry during your stay. Immediately to the right is the entrance to the BnB living/dining/TV area. The sofa pulls out to a double bed. Follow around and you will find the galley, bathroom, and bedroom. The galley opens out onto the deck through a sliding door. We provide coffee and tea service, breakfast bars and bottled water. We feed our guests like our family: plant-based, mostly organic, easy of the sugar content.

Other things to note
We have noticed a somewhat remarkable uptick in the local red (yes!) fox population. They are not particularly shy, so you may well encounter one in the driveway when you come home or traipsing across the deck. They are quite beautiful, and not aggressive, but, for all that, wild animals.

Just beyond the full bath is an exterior door leading to the cozy outdoor patio equipped with a small grill just enough outdoor patio area for a few people to relax in a private outdoor oasis.
This space is cozy yet functional, and most comfortable for a couple or small family!

PARKING
There is usually street parking available on the street of the unit—daily fee ($7-10) via Park Mobil app. If there is not parking available on East street, please travel east on East street—2 blocks there is almost always parking available at the intersection of Prince George’s Street and East street. There is parking available on either side of the street in this area, thus offering ample opportunity to find a parking spot.
There are also three parking garages within walking distance if street parking is ever a problem (cost:$15/daily rate) all rates are typical—but costs could vary based on season and special events.
