The only small thing they needed to add was a bath mat for the tub, it was very slippery, and maybe a small step stool for shorter people to reach some items in the cupboard. I'm only 5'4". - "This property was at most the horrible experience. Property is not at all where it states on the website. When we arrived the ceiling was falling due to an old leakage and when I communicated with someone in charge of property, they said maintenance will come. We stood for a week and they came at the second to last day of our stay. It was cold every morning and the windows were patched with garbage bags. Everything was prone to disconnect from walls such as everything in bathroom. In addition to paying for the stay they tried to charge me $59/per person per night. Everything was communicated but ignored. I even took pics and videos. In return I was giving a late check out with no charge so far who knows."

The A/C, heat, water pressure in the shower are all fantastic. There are 2 large closets to hang clothes. The building overall is safe. There is a childcare center on the 2nd floor that is mostly under control. This apartment is on the first floor with 5 stairs to reach the apartment. The terrain of the area is made up of hills. The street is on a hill and the adjacent avenue is on a hill. There is anything you could need within a few blocks but right across is a Dollar store that really offers everything and an amazing hair salon along with laundry service. The neighborhood can get loud but there's fans within the apartment that drowns out all that or turn on one of the huge fantastic televisions in the place. - "I was looking for a 4 month long stay, but decided to leave shortly after a month. I recommend staying short term as a vacation rental only. Host is kind and welcoming, but I recommend asking her for every single one of her rules, as well as stipulations on guests before you decide to stay, they are not all listed on the booking and it may sway your decision. The owner lives above and has access to the rental, so if that makes you uncomfortable I'd have a conversation with her about it. Stay at my place and feel right at home - just blocks from NYC Botanical Gardens. Nice view from your spacious private bedroom. The building houses an elevator, paid laundry room in the basement and is generally a quiet building.

The room is big with your own 32 inch smart TV and king size bed with Sealy mattress purchased in 2023. There is no lock on the door but it closes in with a hook on the inside and outside and you will have 100% privacy.

The space
This is a 1 bedroom apartment where you will have a private bedroom with small table and sitting area, small refrigerator and microwave inside it for only your use. There is a shared bathroom and shared coffee /tea station. There is NO full kitchen available for cooking meals and also NO living room space since this is our bedroom area. Rest assured you will have complete privacy since no one enters your room (unless it’s for cleaning with your permission and scheduled when convenient to you).

There is a smart TV in your private bedroom equipped with Netflix and Amazon Prime. A king size bed and ample space for storage in the walk in closet. Eating cutlery and essentials (paper towel, washing pods,etc.) Also, please enjoy the armchair with seat massager.

A reminder that we are located along a Parkway so you will hear passing vehicles, loud ambulance and police sirens and some sidewalk chatter. The neighborhood is generally peaceful with families and dog walkers enjoying the greenery. Our place is not recommended for persons who expect 100% quiet. Do pack earplugs if you are a light sleeper but rest assured our building is usually calm and quiet.

Other things to note
Bedroom door has no lock ( and our living space has no lock too). Kitchen is not available for cooking. The entire apartment faces a Parkway so you will hear some vehicular/pedestrian street traffic. Summer guests/4th July holidays it gets lively and louder on the nearby streets and parks as families picnic outdoors and there are fireworks. But overall, rest assured your stay will be very comfortable and private.

This room is in a newly renovated house in a beautiful and safe neighborhood in the Bronx, called Bedford Park. It is close to the Botanical Garden and public transportation. (Express subways D, B, 4, 5 and MetroNorth train: only 20 mins to Grand Central).

Nearby attractions: Little Italy with its beautiful bakeries & cafes, Fordham University, many shops and groceries.

My place is also walking distance to several hospitals.

The space
1 Separate bedroom with all the amenities. Super clean, dust free, no pets or smoking. I am the only tenant and live on-site and do not have other tenants.

This space will be the best value in New York City. The rate is low because I am not trying to get rich or cheat anyone. This space is worth a lot more. But I chose to keep it low to allow everyone the opportunity to rent.

ABOUT ME:
I've been an Airbnb member since 2012. Superhost in good standing with no issues to date.

I am employed by a city agency as a Youth Development and Community Organizer. Generally spend most of my time working from 10am to 8pm. Most times I don't get back to the Apartment until 11pm. If i'm home, I'm probably editing music or videos at home or out at gigs when I'm involved in music projects as a vocalist. I work on music mostly with headphones. Very rarely will I have musicians over. And not at all hours of the night. I do not have people at the apartment or have any parties going on. I do all my partying outside. I am very respectful and friendly. I do not have pets (allergies to animals). I do not smoke. I am very clean and responsible. I go home to relax my mind and get away from stress and drama. I don't do drugs. I have many references. Although I am extremely friendly, I stay to myself and don't bother anyone with unnecessary conversations.

I Am Looking For:

Someone very very clean (especially the bath and kitchen (clean as you go) responsible and respectful. I am renting to 1 person only. No Pets. No parties. No Smoking. No extensive hanging out.
