I see myself staying here in the future because its warm, inviting, functional and located nicely to stores and such. However; As an outdoorsman; the need to hang damp clothing to dry is vital but the apartment lacks hooks and pegs on the walls.(outside & especially inside)There is ample wall space to make the improvements without negatively impacting maneuverability. A ceiling fan in the kitchen or living room would also help with outdoor gear/clothing/equipment & cooking with the stove. I like to cook and this kitchen setup made me so happy i ate like a king. Take it easy at this unique getaway on a horse farm. Guests can wander the property & say hi to horses across the fence and gates. Camping in comfort! 240 sq ft cabin near the heart of Black River Falls, close to state/county parks, ATV trails, class A trout streams, and canoeing. Access to 40 acres of groomed trails for horses, XC skiing, or hiking. Primitive cabin, but we do have a TV, toaster, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There is no plumbing in the cabin, but there is a detached bathhouse with flush toilet. We provide a container to bring water into the cabin from an outdoor hydrant. Enjoy a campfire!

The space
This is an old summer kitchen that we renovated in 2020. There's a photo of the original building in the cabin. It's not big, but it's clean and cute! We have a no pet policy, but we love dogs-- so if your furbaby is well-behaved we can be convinced.... The bathhouse is complete, so the porta potty is a thing of the past!

Guest access
You can drive right up to the cabin's porch. There are other campsites on the property, but I will notify you if they are occupied when you make your reservation.

Porta potty is next to the cabin, a heater is provided for the winter months

The space
This is Apartment 5 on the backside of a 5-plex apartment building with a separate entrance. The entrance is on the southwest corner of the building which is to the right from the parking area. This is a two-level apartment. Upon entry you will see the dining area with the full kitchen beyond and the bathroom to the right. Directly ahead will be stairs that take you up to the second-floor bedroom and sitting area which has a double bed and lots of closet space. There is a Smart TV on both the ground level and also on the 2nd level in the bedroom. Laundry facilities are available on site in the basement via a separate entrance.

Guest access
This unit is accessed with a smart lock keypad. A unique access code will be issued to each guest before check in.

Other things to note
Laundry facilities are in the basement, which is accessed from a separate outside entrance on the Southeast corner. There are 2 washers and 2 dryers which are shared by all the tenants in the building. A parking area is available on the west side of the building off the alley, but street parking is also available. For longer stays, garbage pickup is Monday morning so please push the bin to the alley Sunday night for pickup if you can. The garbage bin is outside the entrance to the apartment and is labeled "5".
