- "Check in was less then expected. Arrived in the early evening. There was no one around to check us in. Rang bell in the lobby. Manager arrived from another room as if we woke her. The room was not ready. Told it would be 10 minutes. She had to hang a shower curtain. We were then given the room key and returned after 1 hour. The room was ready. The carpeting was very old and in need of replacing it had a bunched up seam spread across the entire room. The blankets on the bed appeared clean but had cigarette Burns in them. Some stains on the pillow cases. It is a very old, Small Town Motel. It appears that the owners try to keep it maintained, but by far not updated. Towels and washcloths appeared clean. Cups in the room, along with soap and shampoo. They tried to give you everything you need as in most hotels. Overall it was an okay stay for the price, but don't expect too much."

McMullen State park is a 2.0 mile drive and offers a boat launch, swimming beach, kayak rentals, hiking trails and a large playground. The cabin is also less than a mile from a 230 mile ATV trail with ATV rentals 0.5 mile from the cabin. Wisconsin Dells is only a 45 minute drive.
