- "I had the most incredible week at the Houston VRBO Loft. Since my visit was during Christmas, they decorated a gorgeous Christmas tree for my stay. They thought of all the little details, from coffee, fruit, beverages in the fridge, shampoo, decorations, board games, and music on the TV when I arrived- to ensure my stay was comfortable. The loft has beautiful wood floors, vaulted ceilings with gorgeous exposed beams, French doors to the bedrooms, granite countertops, comfy leather couches and chairs, lovely lamps and sconces lining the hallway, and a great view of the city. As a pianist, it was a dream to play the baby grand piano. It was the perfect holiday stay. This will be my go-to place to stay when I visit Houston for years to come. It is the perfect addition to the town and a remarkable transformation from a landmark old brick-building department store. A few specifics:-cleanliness: The loft was immaculately clean.-Location: It is right in the heart of Houston, within walking distance of everything.-Amenities: The bathroom had all the essentials. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig, etc.-Host communication: The host was very responsive and made sure I had everything I needed.-Comfort: The beds and the space were very comfortable."

The entire home is extremely clean and had everything we needed for cooking and playing games…2 large tables and even a drawer full of games. Guest access:
Guests may use entire house, with exception of locked owner's closet
Other things to note:
*The loft is high, and the railings are an industrial wire. This may pose a safety risk for young children, and as such, we do not recommend this house for those with small children. There is direct access to the water with no gate. This may pose a drowning risk for children.
*Ring Security cameras are in use on front of house facing the driveway, and on back of the house facing the patio/dock. There are no cameras inside the house.
*There are train tracks next to this neighborhood. Trains pass through 1-2 times per day, this noise is heard from the house.

This one bedroom apartment, with a bonus queen sized Murphy bed to allow 2 more guests, is available for your short-term stay or vacation away from home. It was built in 2022, so is newer and super clean, not to mention super comfortable.
It is located in a Mississippi River town, Brownsville MN, but is a short drive to La Crosse, WI and/or Iowa. Brownsville is a small quiet community situated in Pool 8 of the river.
In the summer, the area comes alive with people taking advantage of river recreation. The Marina has events throughout the week/weekend (live music, steak fries, etc) at the tiki bar. Other area restaurant/bars are known for awesome pizza/food and their great customer service (they also have occasional live music, bingo, meat raffles to take part in-- check establishment for current information).
People come to the area for work, professional bass fishing tournaments (boat and kayak), bird watching, hunting (whitetail deer, turkey, duck), snow mobiling, open water/ice fishing (bass, walleye, northern pike, perch, blue gill, crappy and other rough fish), water recreation, biking (Hwy 26 is GRT), hiking, and/or vacations of other nature, etc.
The apartment is nicely equipped with full kitchen, living room, bathroom and laundry. There is a good sized, open area off the living room that allows for dedicated work space, exercise area, or extra space for a roommate (discuss need for this with us). There is a queen sized Murphy bed in this open space to accommodate two additional guests.
In your downtime, cook a meal on the gas grill or just hang out on the huge deck and soak up the beautiful outdoors.
There are distant views of the Mississippi and sunrises from the French doors/upper landing.
- "It was the perfect little apartment for our stay. It had everything we needed. It was clean and well-maintained. Once a year, my best friend and I meet up in the LAX area. We would stay here again. "
