There is also a full bath in the basement to the left of the stairs as you go down. This area has been completely renovated for the renters convenience .The basement area also has a washer and dryer for your benefit if needed and a freezer for your extra things during your week or more stay. If you go through the towel supply you can wash and dry another supply....just like home.
The linen supply includes 3 sets of white at least 3 sets of green and 4 sets of burgandy. There also should be two sets of bedding for each bed and a set for the day bed. All the pillows are down pillows. If you prefer foam there are three pillows in the basement area under the hanging clothes to the left of the washer and dryer.
The 'Living area' includes a round table w 4 chairs and an extra leaf creating an oval (under the bed in the Master bedroom )for eating and games. A comfortable sofa to seat three comfortably, a large round coffee table for games and eating, a swivel rocker and rocking chair and a Day bed for additional seating and sleeping . There are two additional short stools for seating as well as a childrens rocker with Mr and Mr Rabbit for a small one's needs.

are available when things require hanging.
The living room at this time has a flat screen TV ...only Basic cable. Internet access is now available as well. The furnishings have real wood surfaces and are not coated for wet things. Please use coasters and cloth to prevent rings on surfaces. It is much appreciated.
There are some furnishings that are apart of the house but not a part of the rental package. The Step back cupboard and things inside are not a part of the rental usage. Please respect my personal things. Also the Armoire in this room has nothing inside you would need to use. The glass two door cabinet has ribbon and old VCr's also not available for rental usage. The two door red cabinet has some liqueur in it. Just want you to be
aware of this so your family members don't get into things they are not suppose to be in to . Thanks again
The closet in the Living room Houses 3 shelves of Kitchen small appliances and storage things for use in the kitchen. Use these items as you need them, and then, put them back when you got them. Thanks
The refurbished kitchen has granite surface counter tops with a two compartment sink w garbage disposal,
a drain rack in the second sink and a drying cloth for items on the counter. The toaster oven and microwave are ready for use. The Coffee pot (small or large)and other appliances ready for your use are in the Living Room Closet. The base cabinet to the left of the sink has pots and pans and things you might use duiring your stay. The upper cabinets to the right of the sink carry all table ware. the third cabinet door on the upper shelf has picnic things.
The frying pans for the stove are in the 3 drawer cabinet to the left of the stove. Some are Cast iron some are regular. Use the items you are comfortable with. Cast Iron takes different care than the regular pans. the first drawer has pot holders and lids.
The kitchen table accommodates 2 comfortable and 3 tight. The table in the living room accommodates extra people.
Cooling can be by AC window units or a Home Attic Fan
Use what you need to be comfortable while you are in the house. Other than High humidity and no wind the Attic fan cools very Comfortable. Using the two window units also works well to keep one comfortable.
The storage shed in the back has outdoor things that are available for your use while you are there. They include a gas grill, a small Webber grill, a round folding table and umbrella,a rectangular folding table some folding chairs, some lawn chairs and a Hammock. It even includes a coffee station with free coffee (caffeinated and de-caffeinated) and filters, tea, condiments, and device recharging receptacles (4 USBs) and cable.

DINING ROOM: This a great room for meals and social gatherings with a large farmhouse style dining room table that seats 8 comfortably and a large buffet, soon to be stocked with plenty of board and card games.

PORCHES: The front porch provides a separate area to relax in a comfy chair to read a book or nap or for more private conversations away from the main living areas. It’s also has air conditioning vents for a comfortable guest setting. The back porch also provides addition space for two people to visit and sit for morning coffee.

Welcome to our beautiful Victorian home located in the quaint town of McGregor, Iowa. Our 2,800 sq. ft. home was built during McGregor's early years as a Mississippi River boom town. Attractions include antiquing, biking, fishing, hunting, hiking and boating! We're a short drive from Pike's Peak, Effigy Mounds and Prairie du Chien, WI. Entire access of the home, each bedroom consists of en suite or attached bath. Fully furnished and decorated. See below for more details.

The space
This is an extremely historic Victorian home that is one of the jewels of the Driftless Region. The space combines 120 years of history with tasteful updates and modern amenities.

Guest access
You’ll have access to the living area of our entire home, including four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, sitting rooms, and fully stocked kitchen. Please note, all bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor of the home. Guests will need to climb stairs to get to the bedrooms. The attic and the basement are unfinished and not accessible to guests.

Interaction with guests
We will be available via Vrbo messaging, phone and text. Our parents are in the area and may help with guest communication from time to time.

Point Ann Place is a whole house rental. The owner does not live on site. Please Note: The price listed on page is a base price per night for 1-2 guests. There is an additional per person/per night fee for each guest beyond 2. Point Ann Place is an historic home in McGregor, IA located six blocks from the Mississippi River. There is a full kitchen and dining seating for up to twelve. The main floor has an accessible bedroom and bath with five additional bedrooms on the second floor. The lower level offers a game/TV room.

The Blackhawk Avenue Loft is located in the center of Historic Downtown Prairie du Chien. The apartment was recently renovated and is now available as a great getaway space. The loft is open concept living room, dining room and kitchen. There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. hardwood floor throughout and tile in the bathrooms. You are within walking distance to the Mississippi River, St. Feriole Island and the Prairie du Chien Marina. All of the downtown restaurants, bars and shops are within one block or two from this location.

Within 20 minutes are several State parks and State forests including Pikes Peak State Park, Yellow River State Forest, Wyalusing State Park and Effigy Mounds National Monument. This fully furnished home was built in 2011and is a perfect getaway spot as it will sleep 10, is very spacious for privacy, and very quiet area that is located very close to the Mississippi River. It also has a deck for enjoying the days and evenings too with woods right behind..

The location worked well for us and the landlord was available to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. The jacuzzi has a note that the jets aren't working - an earlier reviewer also said they weren't working so it that is important, ask if it's been fixed. The 1924 Craftsman cottage has a furnished front porch, an open floor plan, restored original wood floors and lots of window light. Located on large, private lot walking distance to the Mississippi, riverfront park, downtown Marquette and Casino Queen.

There is one bedroom with a new king-size bed, closet and antique dresser. A renovated full bathroom has a tub-shower, fluffy towels, vanity and hair dryer. The second main floor sleeping area with two twin beds is connected to the open living area. The open living room has a full size sofa, armchairs and smart TV for use with your steaming accounts. The cottage has 5G wifi throughout, central air conditioning and heat, and comes fully furnished with washer-dryer, bedding and towels.

Full kitchen includes microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, teapot, pots & pans, dishes, cooking utensils, salt/pepper, olive oil and vacuum cleaner. Hand soap, dish soap and bath soap are provided. Washer, dryer, detergent, iron and ironing board are available in the basement. Other amenities include multi-port USB charging cubes, books and games. The cottage does not have a landline telephone.

Our large lot is very private, with a dining set on the pleasant fenced-in patio, lounge chairs, additional picnic table, new charcoal grill with tools (charcoal not provided), two large side yards, and a basketball hoop on the main driveway (basketball provided). Ample room for parking a boat or RV in driveway.

We loved the little stores and restaurants nearby (those that were open so early in the season), and the surroundings were perfect, the trains, the riverboats, and the green hills with Pikes Peak just up the road for hiking. Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly log cabin located "in town". This cabin was re-located to it's current location, in 1987, from Wexford, IA. Built in 1842, by John Downs. Downs' stepdaughter Sadie inherited the cabin and lived there until she was 92. We now call it Aunt Sadie's Cabin in her memory. It now has modern conveniences like running water, electricity, and an indoor bathroom, with a jacuzzi tub/shower. Also, enjoy the real wood fireplace during the colder months.

The Riverside Brickhouse is steps away from the river and great downtown restaurants and shops.

This early 1900's updated home has two bedrooms on main floor and four bedrooms upstairs. Both floors have bathrooms with shower, tub on main level.

The throwback kitchen, dining area and living room provide room to gather.

Sit back and relax in the front sunroom, screened in porch or outside on the 2 adirondack chairs while taking in the downtown district and river action. On the hot summer weekends, you can usually hear live music coming from Blg Buoys Tiki Bar!

There is a Blackstone griddle and patio table in the back for guests to gather, cookout and view the bluff and, at times, wildlife behind the house!

Please note: This is a train town and train noise should be expected. We do provide complimentary ear plugs for your convenience.
