Upstairs is a spacious loft which overlooks the great room and is perfect for relaxing, playing games, or an extra sleeping area. The loft has 2 full sized beds and 1 full sized futon, and a door leading to a small balcony.

The lower walkout level has another living area with a newly built wooden bar, full sized futon and TV. There are 2 bedrooms with Queen sized beds,one bedroom has TV, full bathroom, and laundry room with a washer/dryer and additional refrigerator.
Outside enjoy the 500 square foot raised wrap around deck with beautiful views, or sit under the larger covered porch. Other amenities include Cable TV's in all living areas and one bedroom, DVD players, wireless internet, emergency phone line, central AC, gas grill and outside large fire pit with 5 benches.

We are within walking distance to Devil's Lake State Park which offers year round outdoor activities and several restaurants, one of which is walking distance (Tumbled Rock Brewery and Kitchen ). There are also multiple local Wineries offering Wine tasting tours. Baraboo Golf and Country Club is located within a mile. The Super Walmart, grocery stores, additional restaurants are within minutes. Devil's Lake Lodge is located at the edge of Devil's Lake State Park and is our personal log vacation home, custom designed and built in 2005 and professionally decorated. We are conveniently located 2 blocks East from the main North entrance to the most diversified and unique state park in Wis. There is something for everyone to do. Nature abounds at every corner from old growth forests and stunning rock outcrops to beautiful clear water with rock reflections at every glance. We are within walking distance to hiking trails, rock climbing, swimming, fishing and boating with 2 great restaurants only 2 blocks away. Bird watching is outstanding due to the diverse landscape. Scuba diving is fantastic and fishing fun for all with many species including trout, walleye, bass, northern and of course every bodies favorite pan fish. Devils Lake prohibits gas motors making the lake always peaceful. We have 3 down hill ski, tubing, snow boarding hills in the area and the closest one is 7.6 miles away. We have horse shoe pits and yard games include volley ball and bean bag toss.
Our home has been a great location for family reunions with guests from around the world. Our 5 queen size beds offer a great nights sleep with cool breezes coming in the windows off the hills behind the house, or if you prefer enjoy the central air. Our big screen TV's in the great room and basement rec. room are satellite dish ready with DVD players and we have free WiFi for your internet needs. Our home is perfect for several family's since we have 2 bedrooms and one bathroom up stairs plus 2 bedrooms and one bathroom down stairs. The master suite has its own TV/DVD and the master bath has a jetted tub. Walk out the master bedroom onto a sun porch or if you prefer use the screen porch off the dinning room. For those of you with difficulty getting around I want to point out that all of the main features of our home are located on the main floor which requires only 4 steps front door or back door to get into our home and there are railings on all steps.

We have 2 booking seasons.
High season from Memorial Day through Labor Day, also main holidays with minimum 3 nights stay and low season from mid-September through mid-May with minimum 2 nights stay.

- "The house is beautiful and so very clean. Easy communication with the owner. We had a group of family along with our Adult Family Home residents - from ages 3 to 86! Everyone enjoyed time out on the huge patio and relaxed a bit - other times were spent at Paul Bunyun eating place, riding the Ducks in the Dells, and at Devil's Lake, swimming and fishing. WalMart and Kwik Trip for needed items are not too far away. Door Dash available here, as well. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home!"

This little cabin in the woods over looking a prairie is a great space for travelers that like to be cozy and secluded.

Just 5 minutes from the city of Baraboo and 7 minutes from the Devil's Lake State Park entrance. It features modern comfort for solo travelers or couples.

Guest access

A private driveway will lead you to the cottage, which is surrounded by woods and prairie. There are 30 acres of woods and prairie with established walking trails that you can hike or stroll through. Very private and enchanting! There is a parking spot provided for you about 300 feet from cabin. If you arrive late at night, it can be very dark. We suggest using a flashlight or your phone to navigate the path safely. Easy self-check-in system with door code. Bring firewood if you plan on having a fire in the fire pit.

We are so close to many amazing activities in Baraboo and the surrounding area. I have provided a list of some of my recommendations.

To lock the front door when leaving, close the door securely and press the padlock symbol on the keypad. You should hear the door locking.

The Blu-Mae Marie Folk House is over a century old home with a unique flare and charm.

The master bedroom with a king sized bed can be found on the main floor. The 3 remaining bedrooms are upstairs. The 2nd bedroom you will find a comfortable queen sleigh bed. This quiet room is spacious and contains a oversized chair for reading. The 3rd bedroom also has a queen bed and a book shelf with an abundance of books for all ages. The 4th bedroom has a full bed. There is also a full bath located upstairs.

On the main floor you will find the formal dining room, elegant living room and a farm style kitchen, as well as a half bathroom. There is also a classic wraparound front porch and screened in back porch. There is a great yard and patio too!

The Blu-Mae Marie Folk House is located in a great quiet neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Baraboo and other local attractions.

They came and took the trash cans out to the road while we were there and that was nice. I pulled them back up once the dumpster had went. Plenty of space for 5 year old to roam and for little dog to get his exercise in. I found this home on my birthday and knew it was MY home. I happily lived here for 10 years and loved it. Adjacent to Ochsner Park, is Baraboo's 3 mile Riverwalk that is part of the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail. If shopping is on your list, you are 0.5 mile from the downtown square and all it has to offer. 5 miles to Devil's Lake State Park, 12 miles to Wisconsin Dells, 14 miles to Cascade Mountain, 40 miles from Madison. Dane County Regional Airport and Dells Baraboo Airport service the area.

The Space:
Indulge in the comfort of our newly adorned one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment unit. This stylish space includes a fully stocked kitchen and a spacious living room with a Smart TV. The living room offers a sleeper sofa and a sleeper chair with additional bedding conveniently tucked away in the wicker basket.

Guest Access:
You will enter the unit through the private entry door located on the lefthand side of the building off Broadway Street. This unit features a smart lock and an individual door code will be sent to you one day before your check-in date. This code will be active during your entire stay.

The Neighborhood:
Our neighborhood boasts a myriad of highlights that contribute to its unique appeal: Statz Park is right in the backyard while Riverwalk Park is within walking distance. There are many great restaurants close to the property including Broadway Diner, Baraboo Burger Company, Gem City Saloon & Eatery, and Driftless Glen Distillery. Baraboo also has a handful of grocery stores including Aldi, Festival Foods, and Pierce's.

Getting Around:
Baraboo offers many modes of transportation to get around and explore including Uber, Lyft, and Baraboo Taxi Service. There is a parking lot in the back of the building where one vehicle is permitted to park in any spot. Additional parking includes free street parking.

Other Things to Note:
If found smoking, vaping, or burning of any kind inside the unit the tenant will be charged $250. All smoking, vaping, and burning must be done outside at least 30 feet from the building.

This is an efficiency unit attached to our home, but completely separate and private. You'll have one dedicated parking space in our driveway near your private patio entrance. Walk in to a charming kitchen/living area with a gas fireplace and view of the bluffs. The wall of windows to the East lets in all the morning sunshine yet has a flowery privacy film so no one can see in! Upstairs you'll retreat to a large bedroom with Queen bed, dresser, vanity table and a wall of storage cubes for all your belongings. Again, these windows also face East for the morning sun, but have the privacy film on as well as black out curtains. AC units in both the main level and upstairs bedroom. The walls adjoining the main home and the efficiency unit are double 2 x 4 walls with triple sheetrock and double thick insulation to keep the noise between the two barely audible. We live on the premises so we are available if you should need anything, but we respect your privacy.

The beds were comfortable, there were many towles provided. The kitchen was fully stocked. The house was also very clean, which was wonderful. The only thing I would suggest, is making sure there is a light on in the front of the house and making sure the house number is more visible. We arrived late at night and it was very hard to see a house number and find the house itself. Once we did, everything was great. Also make sure you include directions on how to lock the door, we were unsure of how to do that."
