Stainless steel gas grill in screened in porch (221 & 217) and an additional Weber charcoal grill in 217 to be used outside by garage. All 4 bedrooms are very private with no common walls or floors with other bedrooms. There are 2 master suites with high end Queen beds. The fourth bedroom has 2 twins in 221 and a Queen in 217. Lower level has an additional family room so you can have 2 separate areas. Go left for 7 miles to Cottage Grove or right for 9 miles to Lake Mills and have swim in Rock lake and go a little further and have a beer at Tyranena Brewing company [3 more miles] which has a grill there for you to use! Very family oriented. I love the great selection of bands that perform in the new beer garden in summer and inside in winter.

You are less than 5 minutes by bike to the Glacial Drumlin Bike trail that connects Iowa to Milwaukee! Cottage Grove to Waukesha is the popular local route that features at least 47 miles of flat biking! You don't have to bike - walking is great too! You are 15 - 20 minutes to many lakes. There are 5 Madison Lakes! (4 are connected and boat rentals available.) Rock Lake in Lake Mills has 2 beautiful public beaches. Sandy Beach ($4/adult) is my favorite with almost 1500' of white sand shoreline and has all sorts of rentals available. Bartel's Beach (free) on the Eastern shore also has a quaint set up with grills and picnic tables. Please search for them online. The water is very clear and you can bike there from home and have a little picnic! You are 8 minutes from Cambridge which also has a public beach and boat rentals. There is skiing all around us - Cross country, skate skiing and downhill.

The screened in porch is the number one place that people love to congregate and hang out in. It faces directly South so you can watch sun and moon rises and sets overlooking 2 nicely landscaped backyards. There is also a lower level walkout concrete patio. Stainless steel gas grill in screened in porch (221), LP gas grill on porch of 217 and a Weber charcoal grill in 217 to be used outside by garage. All 4 bedrooms are very private with no common walls or floors with other bedrooms. Lower level has an additional family room so you can have 2 separate areas - maybe for the kids. (Simmons Queen sleeper sofa (decent mattress for a pullout) There are additional mattresses and air mattresses and single cots available upon request) There are three (3) separate bathrooms with handheld showers with flow control.

The brand new water conserving appliances (dishwasher & washer) use very little water and combined with a water softener very little soap is needed for any washing activity. Literally 1 teaspoon for most dish and washer loads!

Please bring your slippers or house shoes since the floors are all wood or porcelain tile. (cool floors)

WiFi access with Internet speeds up to 300 Mbps down. Bring your own laptop. There is a 60" TV's upstairs and 1 50" TV's downstairs that use Dish Network Hopper with Joey's. The DVR has many movies available to view. you may also rent movies and leave cash on counter top when leaving. Usually $6 per movie. There is a Blu-Ray players attached to upstairs TV that also have amplified sound with subwoofers.

I hope you don't come here to watch TV!! Get outside you're 10 minutes walking distance to the big Glacial Drumlin trail. Go left for 7 miles to Cottage Grove or right for 9 miles to Lake Mills and have swim in Rock lake and go a little further and have a beer at Tyranena Brewing company [3 more miles] which has a grill there for you to use! Very family oriented. I love the great selection of bands that perform in the new beer garden in summer and inside in winter.

You don't have to bike - walking is great too! You are 15 - 20 minutes to many lakes. There are 5 Madison Lakes! (4 are connected and boat rentals available.) Rock Lake in Lake Mills has 2 beautiful public beaches. Sandy Beach ($4/adult $3/kids) is my favorite with almost 1500' of white sand shoreline and has all sorts of rentals available. Bartel's Beach on the Eastern shore also has a quaint set up with grills and picnic tables. Please search for them online. The water is very clear and you can bike there from home and have a little picnic! You are 8 minutes from Cambridge which also has a public beach and boat rentals. There is skiing all around us - Cross country, skate skiing and downhill.

Tower Chateau is a luxury guest suite perfect for traveling professionals that need a quiet and comfortable place to stay. It is located 25 minutes from downtown Madison, Camp Randall and the Kohl Center in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the metro area. It is an excellent place for the traveling professional. It is not an appropriate place for traveling work crews.

The space:
Tower Chateau is a 1000 sq. ft. private unit in the lower level of our home. There is a private entrance and it is completely separate from our upstairs home. There is parking for two regular sized vehicles, free laundry, free electric car charging, a full kitchen, a full bathroom, one king-size full bedroom, and a futon couch/bed. This is a convenient location for those wanting to visit the area. It is a quiet, peaceful place to stay.

Our parking space is limited (2 standard vehicles) so please reach out to us to confirm that your vehicles will be well suited. Please no RVs or construction vehicles.

Important Rules:

This newly constructed 2 bedroom barndominium is the perfect get-a-way for families, couples, etc. (+dogs welcome!).
Get away from it all, unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet in the country! Bedroom one has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has a bunk with a full size lower and a twin upper. The kitchen has a side by side refrigerator/freezer with a water/ice dispenser, stove, microwave, dishwasher, breakfast bar, whiskey barrel table and plenty of cabinets. The living room is very spacious with a sectional sofa, two chairs and a large TV. The bathroom is very charming with a whiskey barrel sink and a full size walk in shower. There is a washer & dryer combo, has in-floor heat and air conditioned. The property sits on 50+ acres with plenty of room to roam and take walks to allow you to connect with nature. Located close to Madison, just over 7 miles from the beltline, nearby several restaurants, bars, shopping, golf and more. We have a solo stove for fires, and a blackstone griddle/gas grill combo for your outdoor enjoyment!

From the beginning of the booking process, Travis was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had asked for some flexibility in terms of arrival and departure times and Travis was kind enough to accommodate us. The property is exactly as described, it’s a very unique and modern renovated barn. We had brought our dog with us and Travis had left some dog treats on the counter, which was very thoughtful. He also left a welcome note and was very communicative throughout our stay. Travis really went above and beyond by surprising us with a bottle of champagne for our wedding anniversary. These personal touches made the experience feel very personalized. The property has everything you need to feel comfortable and the surrounding area is really beautiful and quiet. We went for a couple of walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed sitting outside. We didn’t get to use any of the grilling equipment, but if we had stayed longer we certainly would have.
