Very beautiful cabin located in the Laurel Mountains just down the road from Seven Springs and Hidden Valley ski resorts. This is a unique opportunity to experience the Laurel Mountains with the privacy of your own rental home. You will find this home to be a beautiful rental at an exceptionally reasonable rate.

The home has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a full bed. and a single bed. The second is a loft that has 3 twin beds. This bedroom overlooks the great room accessible by a pull down ladder.

The great room is very large with cathedral ceilings and plenty of space for the guests to spread out. There are many skylights and windows to let in the natural light and the beautiful wooded scenery. There is a stone fireplace in the great room and a wood burning stove. All of the firewood is included. There is a full kitchen including all major appliances, cooking utensils, and a dining table.

There are one and a half bathrooms. The master bath has a shower with unlimited hot water. The second is a powder room.

The Home is located within walking distance to Koosier lake, which has a swimming area and fishing area. Both Hidden Valley and Seven Springs resorts are a very short drive away.

The cozy sunroom is a combination living room and dining area that is the favorite place to hang. Nine windows give you a birds eye view to the woods, mountains, fields and meadows. The gas fired ‘wood’ stove heats up at the flip of a switch and keeps it toasty and cozy. In the kitchen the cast iron wood stove is available to enjoy a real woodburning fire.

Industrial style staircase leads from the upper level to the lower level entrance, complete with flowering garden on each side. Where this cool welded hunk of metal staircase came from, we don't know, but we love it and it is a favorite spot to sit.

The surrounding area is filled with many activities and areas to explore when Snow season is here!

Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, or sitting in the lodge and enjoying the view at the major snow attractions in the area.

Area ski and snow resorts include Seven Springs, Laurel Mountain, and Hidden Valley. All are easily accessible and offer many family activities for enjoying the beautiful seasons.

The town of Ligonier is 3 easy miles away with its many restaurants and charming shops. The Diamond is the gazebo and small park at the center of town that is beautifully decorated for the holiday and winter as well as year round.

Enjoy hiking and relaxing at the beautiful Linn Run sate park, only 15 minutes away.

Please note that the cabin front is very close to a low traffic Wilpen road. We have had many guests with small children stay as well as pets and this hasn't been an issue but wanted to point it out clearly.

Please also note that the cabin is built into a hillside so there are steps to navigate. If you or anyone in your party has climbing or navigating stairs as an issue, please check pictures before you book. Bedrooms are on upper level with stairs to the lower level kitchen, sunroom, bathroom.

Pets are welcome- you will be charged a $50.00 fee when booking. We ask that you keep pets contained in a crate (condo:) if left unattended. Also, we provide extra sheets for furniture and bed covering if your pet is on these pieces. Please clean up and keep pet hair to minimum. You will be charged for additional cleaning if necessary. The cabin was exactly as described, with some renovations going on that the hosts made sure to warn us about, so no surprises there. The kitchen had all the amenities we needed, and the lower level bathroom looks recently done, with another bathroom on the upper floor in the works. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we felt welcome, and gave us tips on things to try in the region. If you're staying over the weekend and want to try Wyldfire Bread, be sure to preorder on Thursday afternoon; when I checked their website Friday morning, everything was already sold out. The only thing to keep in mind is that the hill the cabin is built on is pretty steep. There are stairs from the lower parking area all the way to the porch, with a landing at the lower level. I'd recommend taking luggage and such in through the front door, it leads straight to the bedrooms and you don't have to haul everything up the hill. This was a great stay for us!"

Both the state park and state forest are recognized for there many miles of hiking, biking and snowmobiling trails as well as many scenic over look areas such as bears rock. Also popular hunting and fishing destinations with great native trout, white tail deer and black bear populations. there is also a small play ground only a 1/4 mile away thats excellent for kids of all ages! This cozy cabin also has a large outdoor deck, firepit and grill.

Welcome to Sycamore! Our nicely refinished and decorated ranch home provides you with all the comforts you need. The streamside location (that's Mill Creek, one of the finest trout streams in PA) with private back yard space lets you stretch out and release a little before you go to town! You'll find easy parking and a few steps to the MAIN/BACK/REAR entrance. The rarely used front entrance has 3 steps and can only be open from the inside. There is plenty of space to roam, and I am working on creating a butterfly and pollinator garden! I have provided a fire ring for your use, however the wood is hit or miss on site. Sheetz sells it in bundles! Feel free to clear up any twigs on the grounds for kindling. There is also lockable storage in the shed behind the garage, bring your own lock! You might find a bike in there for your enjoyment as well!

The kitchen has a newly installed dishwasher and is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and dishes, etc. The exterior kitchen wall is lined with windows bringing in sunlight and highlighting nature and the outdoors. The Cottage has central air conditioning and heating. An office area is also included with high-speed Wi-Fi, table, and a printer. There is a couch that opens to a double sleeper also in the bedroom/office area that is perfect for 2 guests. A fifth guest can sleep on a twin sleeper bed located in the living room. There is access to the Loyalhanna Creek down the hill, but we don't recommend walking down the hill. It is pretty sloped and can be easy for our guests to slip and fall. Walking down hill at your own risk. There is an easy access to the creek straight across from our cottage. It is a short walk or drive across the bridge to an entry area that is only 3 feet elevation to navigate. There is also spots over there to park your car.

All sleep accommodations are in one room in the upstairs loft, though I suppose someone could sleep on the downstairs couch. This was fine for us as we are a married couple traveling on our own. For anyone wanting to travel with others there would be limited privacy. There are stairs down to the cabin, stairs to get into the cabin, steep stairs up to the loft. We are in our sixties and my husband has bilateral hip replacement and we were able to handle the stairs just fine----but if stairs are challenging for you....this is good to know. Also, to take a shower you must step into a tallish tub. For most folks, none of this is a problem, but for some it's good to know. The host was very good about communicating the check in and check out process---both of which are very easy. I have never had an easier check out process. Basically, all you need to do is pack up your stuff and take it with you when you go. The area around the cabin is scenic and beautiful. This is a great place to stay. "

This above-garage studio style bungalow is located in Rector, PA – a beautiful country meadow just minutes from Linn Run State Park, Hidden Valley Resort, Laurel Mountain and Ligonier. This adorable 1 bed/1bath space will put guests close to just about everything in the Laurel Highlands. This property is perfect for our “parties of two” who are looking to enjoy cozy living quarters and peaceful surroundings!

Security: For the safety or our guests and the protection of the property against criminal activity, all guests understand that, at a minimum, there is a “Blink” security camera type located at the front and rear entrance of the cabin to monitor access/egress and driveway areas. Security cameras are in use 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Guests should not remove, disturb, modify or damage any part of the onsite security system. IF this occurs it will result in the loss of security deposit or added charges, which ever applies.

A large park is only 1000 ft away with/ basketball courts, a tennis court, a field, & a green area, and a playground.

We are far enough off Franklin Street, which is quiet yet very accessible.

The space
You will have your private duplex. This place was set up as a long-term rental after we were our own long-term home away-from-home guests. We did our best for everything needed to make a meal and enjoy your stay. You have your own private off-street parking with two spots. FYI: The second car will block in the first car.

Guest access
You will have a private duplex with front and rear entrances and two parking spots. The" duplex has"a “powder room” bathroom on the first floor and a full bathroom on the second floor.

The parking pad for 2 is captive, as you park behind the first car. The duplex has two bedrooms. The second bedroom will be locked with a keypad and not in use during your stay, but you will have unrestricted access to the rest of the unit privately. The laundry is located in the large, unfinished, dry basement. There is also a back porch, a comfy living room, a fully stocked kitchen to cook meals, and a kitchen table complete with games. Make yourself at home!

Other things to note
We are close to Roxbury Park and Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, a level 1 trauma center. 5 minutes to 1st Summit Arena. Johnstown is host to year-round events. Safe area of Johnstown. So safe I accidentally left my car door open all night and everything was safe and sound!

Kitchen & Bath
The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, full size refrigerator, double sink, and basic kitchen appliances. We also provide cooking utensils, pots and pans, and dishware. The table seats four comfortably with an option to bring out an extra stool.

The remodeled bath features a spacious full size shower. There's a large 40 gallon hot water tank.

2 Bedrooms
This property typically sleeps up to four (4) guests and is perfect for a travelling professional or family trip.

The master bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with two twin mattresses. In the living room there is a pull-out couch with a full size mattress. Contact us if you'd like to sleep more than four guests.

Local History
Today's Lincoln Highway runs on a historic route connecting ​​Philadelphia to modern Pittsburgh. This route was travelled by George Washington in the French & Indian War and later become the path for the modern highway.

The home was built around 1930. The family has shared fond memories of selling fruits, cider, and maple syrup at a roadside stand.

Over the decades this home received several additions. It has recently been significantly remodeled to create a comfortable and modern experience for guests.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire inside of the house. We only ask that you please not use the supply closet in the bathroom.

The back yard property line is about 5' past the trees. You can relax right on the edge of the golf course green but we do ask guests to respect the golf course's property.

Other things to note
The home is feet away from the scenic Sliding Rock Golf Course! With our convenient location next to the Lincoln Highway, you will be centrally positioned, close to the Laurel Highlands hiking trail (2 minutes), Jennerstown Speedway (4 minutes), Laurel Mountain Ski Resort (9 minutes), Ligonier (13 minutes), Somerset (20 minutes), Johnstown (25 minutes), and Hidden Valley Ski Resort (27 minutes). Within an hour you can visit Seven Springs Ski Resort, Ohio Pyle, Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water, and many other attractions.

This is a perfect location whether you are seeking a get-away or are a travelling professional working in Somerset, Cambria or Westmoreland counties.

The EV charger is a NEMA 14-50R 240v plug. You will need to supply your own plug in charger. This also supports most RV power needs. There is a surcharge of $5/day for use of the EV charger.

🔞 Age Requirement: Guests must be 25+ to rent.
👶 Children: We love welcoming families, but please note the cabin isn’t childproof (no outlet covers, door latches, or baby gates on the open staircases). For safety, little ones under 6 shouldn’t sleep on the top bunks.
🚫 Parties/Events: To keep the cabin peaceful for everyone, parties and events aren’t allowed.
🚭 Smoking: Smoke-free inside the cabin.
🐾 Pets: We adore animals, but the cabin is pet-free.
