Coming to visit grandma? Prefer a rural spot to a hotel 30 mins away? Welcome to our home away from home. A modest 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with a great view of cows, and rolling green pastures abutting a working dairy farm. The home sits across from a gorgeous mountain view with a winding spring.

The house is located in the Cove. This is a mountainous region that doesn't get very good cell service. If you are from here, you will know what we mean. If you enjoy the outdoors, even just driving around the countryside, there is no more beautiful place. We have a covered back patio that can be enjoyed most times of the year and sitting areas on our porches for especially nice days.

This pet friendly cabin is small with simple construction but priced accordingly. Located towards the front of our campground by RT 31 it’s easy to get to. This is our pet friendly cabin. The river is within 50 feet providing good trout fishing in the early season and other species throughout the year.
The queen bed is right inside the front door and the bunks are in the side room beside the bathroom. Bathroom and small bedroom have curtains for doors to allow easy movement in the tight area.

The living space is very comfortable with a full living room, two queen bedrooms and full bathrooom. Originally built by the Todd family (Lincoln’s in-laws) you can expect 17-18th century architecture that displays native wood and stone craftsmanship.

When you stay here you will have access to our property for a nice walk, fishing or kayaking in the river, a nice relaxing campfire or just exploring the countryside. This cabin is located towards the front of our campground by the road. You will have a small efficiency kitchen and two queen beds. You’ll have a short drive to Shawnee Park, downtown Bedford shopping and several restaurants.
The space
You can use the whole lot as well as walk or bike the campground. Fire pit in the backyard and wood available at our office. The bedrooms have curtain doorways and the bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling. This allows for heat and cooling circulation. Bathroom has shower, sink, and handicap toilet. The floors are wood but slightly uneven in places since it's an older cabin. The kitchen is small and simple with microwave, coffee maker, mini fridge and sink. The sun porch is a nice dining/work space.

We visited the Flight 93 Memorial, remember me rose garden, the bison gift shop, the old church on cemetery road, kayaked at Shawnee State Park, shopped in downtown Bedford, saw two covered bridges and browsed in Route 30 Antiques. We had dinner at the Jean Bonnet restaurant, highly recommend. A must is to go to Sundaes ice cream shop, we went two nights in a row it was so good! The Stargazer overlooks the campground field. The river is just a short walk and the camp driveway is a nice circle to go for an after dinner stroll. Gaze at the stars in the open sky on a clear night.

Welcome to The Beautiful Allegheny Mountains! You will find the highest skiable mountain in Pennsylvania. It also has the longest and sweetest rides for skiers and snowboarders. Four seasons resort.

This unit is located on the third floor and has a private balcony. While staying at Blue Knob Ski Resort, you will have access to the indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, sauna, tennis/pickleball courts, and fitness center; Golf, skiing, and tubing are available for additional fees through the resort website.

This unit has central heat for the Winter months and a new portable AC unit for the Summer months. Fans are also provided.

The cottage is in a rustic setting, remodeled former hunting cabin. Large outside spaces, yard with fire pit, outdoor shower, enclosed porch and elevated deck. Wildlife are regular visitors and no neighbors in sight. Please note the main room has fairly low ceilings at 6'6". The two bedrooms are attached and second bedroom is accessed through the first. New water tank , plumbing and water softener installed in 2024.

GPS directions are accurate, but Burketts Rd street sign is difficult to spot. We are located only 3 minutes away from Whispering Hollow Estate & roughly 30 minutes from Blue Knob Ski Resort.

Home is newly painted & renovated. Most rooms in the home do not have ceiling lights, but all have adequate lighting with lamps & plug in ceiling lights.

There are critters around! When it's warm outside you may see some bugs inside like ladybugs or something of that sort. Nothing excessive, but we want guests to be aware. You are in the country!

We want you to enjoy this home, but please remember to be smart & responsible while staying here. You are responsible for anything that is broken or misused in the home & will be fined.

The fireplace heaters in both basement bedrooms are only for looks. If you run both of them at the same time, you WILL flip a breaker.
We installed mini split heaters in both bedrooms, that is the main source to be used for heat.

In the case of inclement weather, there will be snow removal on the driveways, but GUESTS are responsible for clearing their own vehicles & GUESTS are responsible to get to their own vehicle. This home is set up on a hill, so we advise you drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle!
