THE LIVING ROOM is adorned with beautiful Santa Fe style viga ceilings, a traditional Kiva fireplace (decorative only) and original artwork. Enjoy watching TV on the Smart TV via ROKU or log into your Netflix or Amazon account for your favorite shows.

THE KITCHEN is in the heart of the home (and our favorite room in the house!) and is fully stocked with an arsenal of kitchen tools, gadgets and appliances that would make any chef proud. With plenty of room to move around, there is a stainless steel center island workstation on wheels, custom built cabinets, gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a stainless steel French door frig with 2 ice makers and filtered water.

DINING ROOM share meals at the large modern live edge wood table which comfortably seats 6.

BEDROOMS
1 - THE MASTER SUITE can be closed off from the rest of the house for extra privacy and quiet. Enjoy a restful sleep on a King size luxury mattress with100% cotton high thread count sheets, down bedding and black out curtains for when you want to sleep in. En suite master bath with large walk in shower and double sinks and lots of shelves and storage. Ample closet space and Elfa drawers available to unpack your belongings for longer stays. Connected to the master suite is a private office nook with a small desk and ergonomic desk chair.

THE SECOND BEDROOM features a new King sized luxurious medium firm mattress on a mid century modern style platform bed and 100% cotton high thread count sheets, down bedding and blackout shades.

THE COVERED PORTAL accessed from the back of the house via the dining room, this private space provides a covered outdoor space in which to dine and relax. An outdoor sink and two ceiling fans create extra convenience and comfort in the summer months. Enjoy breakfast outside at the modern dining table.

WORKING REMOTELY: many guests have opted for a longer stay while working remotely. In addition to two dedicated workstation areas, we have high speed internet and an Eero Pro mesh Wi Fi system to boost the wifi signal throughout the property. UPS and FedEx come directly to our door daily and a drop off for both is a short few blocks away.

BEACH TOWELS are provided if a visit to the local hot springs or lake is in your plans.

WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM provides filtered water throughout the entire home. Feel free to drink directly out of the tap!

COOLING - provided by a ducted evaporative cooler with screened vents in each bedroom area to circulate air throughout the house. Built in vents are in each bedroom which pulls the cool air through from the kitchen ceiling vent so no need to open windows. In the hot summer months, we recommend keeping the cooler on at all times to keep the inside temperature constant.

PARKING/HOUSE ACCESS:
There is one dedicated off street spot in front of the house. Additional vehicles can park on the street in front of the house. Other than on the street or in front of the house, there is no boat or trailer parking.

GUEST INTERACTION
Casa Chamisa is the main house on a large gated corner lot. We lovingly call it 'The Compound.' Next door to the main house is a another adobe casita where a family member lives (she's an artist and teacher). When in town, the owner lives in a separate unit located on the property and is available for any questions or concerns via phone or text (or in person), but will give you and your guests space and privacy you during your stay and will enter the house only if/when requested.

PETS on PROPERTY we have 2 rescue dogs on the property but they are inside their own fenced area. No additional pets are allowed on the property at any time for any amount of time.

SECURITY CAMERAS - There are two outdoor security cameras on the property: 1) near the front door and front parking area and 2) one in the back courtyard area

REGISTERED GUESTS
Before the reservation is confirmed, we require the name(s), contact information and vehicle (make/model/plate) information of each individual guest staying on the property during the reservation.

VISITORS & EXTRA GUESTS
Guests may not bring any unregistered guests or visitors to the home at any time, for any length of time without prior written permission of the host. Any non-registered guest not previously approved by the Host on the property will incur a $150 per person per night fee and your reservation will be at risk of cancellation without refund.

SHOES: We request that guests remove their shoes upon entering the home.

SMOKING and VAPING: Smoking/vaping OUTDOORS only is allowed and an ash tray is provided (pantry). This includes cannabis use and vaping. Please dispose of all extinguished butts in the trash receptacle.

CANNABIS USE: Recently, New Mexico, passed Recreational Cannabis use, which we support. We ask that you enjoy responsibly and remember please smoke outside only (including vaping).

COLOGNE, PERFUME and AIR FRESHENERS: Cologne and perfume products can linger in the house for days after checkout. Please keep our home as fragrance free as possible. An extra cleaning fee may be imposed if steps are required to eliminate strong odors before the next guest arrives.

Under no circumstances are minors under 18 allowed to be alone in the home.

House Rules: Quiet Hours

There is a lot of rooms and areas to find your own space in this 1,600 sq. ft. two-story colonial home.
The home was completely rebuilt in 2019. It's located on a large corner lot with another rental.
The whole place has fencing around it so pets and kids can run around!

Located one mile from downtown Truth or Consequences, where you can find the Hot Springs for a relaxing soak and even a little shopping, and a museum. It's located about 7 miles from Elephant Butte Lake with plenty of parking for your vehicles and toys inside the large gate, and even more off street parking outside the gate.

Upstairs we have three bedrooms with one king bed (Master), two queen beds, and two full baths, a wet bar with refrigerator, and two balconies, (front and back).

Downstairs we have one queen platform bed, one large twin futon, and two twin portable beds that can be set up if needed. There is also another full bath downstairs and an office space set up for your convenience. We have a large kitchen with granite counter tops, another wet bar, large screen TV, and front and back yard patios for the smokers. Laundry room is also downstairs, we provide detergent and dryer sheets.

For all BBQ enthusiasts, the Deluxe BBQ Grill and picnic table is fantastic for an outdoor cooking experience.

There are 2 pictures from different angles with the bedrooms and it is not 3 full beds it's a small pull out sofa bed.. To say the least the house was disgusting and dirty. I have more pictures I was not able to upload but under the beds were full of bugs and dirt. The beds were shaky and not put together well... very uncomfortable. From my family to yours I would not recommend we would have been better staying at the motel 6. Much cleaner and more accommodating. This was the worst air b n b we have stayed at and so not worth the price they were asking! "

Other things to note:
Since the hot tub is fed by natural hot springs water it is normal to see some sediment in the bottom of the tub. The water is fresh and clean and changed out between every stay.

We had a long trip so we were tired; we just took a shower and went to sleep. The next morning, we cooked breakfast and discovered the toaster didn't work (no big deal). After breakfast, we noticed there wasn't any hot water when we tried to wash the dishes, so we left them in the sink, dirty.. I notified the PM about it and he said he would come over to fix the water heater. We departed for the day, to take care of some business (the reason for our trip). During the day, the PM sent me a message that it had been repaired and that he washed the dishes for us. When we returned, I took a shower and had hot water. The next morning we cooked breakfast and noticed we didn't have any hot water again. My brother could not take a shower again. We had to leave the dirty dishes in the sink again, and got a local hotel to let us check in early, so my brother could take a shower. I would've given this property a higher rating if we had hot water, but the essential need for personal hygiene is paramount. "

This 1,000 Sq. ft. cozy home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is centrally located in the city in a really quiet neighborhood, Actually, its less than one block away (within walking distance) from the Truth or Consequences City Golf Course, about four miles to Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and also less than a mile away from downtown T or C, where you'll find the Hot Springs, Museum, Art Galleries, and shopping.

You'll find a beautiful private back patio area with a chiminea fireplace, natural gas BBQ, and fenced in back yard. The laundry room is attached to the back patio for you to use and we're sure you will enjoy the grapevines & pecan trees on the property as well.

If you travel with your pet(s), we have a small dish for food and water and there is a doggy door from the dining room to the back patio for your convenience. And a covered carport and plenty of parking out front for your vehicles & toys.

The Parkside Retreat is walking distance to all of Truth or Consequences favorite amenities. In the morning walk across the street to the large riverside park to get some exercise, do some bird watching, or visit the Farmer's Market. Next walk down the street to soak at Riverbend Hot Springs or any of the other hot spring resorts in town. In the afternoon walk downtown for some eclectic shopping opportunities and to grab a beer or craft cocktail at the brewery.

The Parkside Retreat is a cozy bungalow built in the 60s and has been thoughtfully upgraded and decorated with local art that represents the quaint vibe of our little town. It would make a perfect couples retreat.

KITCHENETTE includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and is stocked with basics for drinking, eating, and snacking. The unit does not have a stove and is not setup for cooking full meals.

A Primo water system is available that provides cold and hot bottled water on demand.

- "My best friend and my husband and I wanted to get away and experience the hot springs. We found this home that could accommodate all of us and I am so glad we did. Everything at this home, inside and out from top to bottom seemed brand new, it was all great! The amenities were excellent as well with an ample snack basket to full size shower products to being able to live completely comfortably in all rooms. Speaking of comfort, we all commented on how comfortable the beds are. I also really appreciated the kind and helpful communication from the hosts. I would highly recommend staying in this comfortable and adorable home!!!"

Sunshine's Zen bed and breakfast. 2 bedroom 1 bath house sleeps 4 people comfortably to 6 people with two sleeping on the couch, large kitchen and living room in this nicely decorated home with unique artwork and nick nacks throughout the house. Large 8' x 12' mineral hot springs shared with everyone staying here (SORRY MINERAL HOT SPRINGS IS NOT WORKING DISCOUNTES APPLIED).

the yard has a 6 foot privacy fence the yard and is a beautiful zen oasis with lots of birds, picnic table, swing, hammock, gas grill, fire pit, several patio sets and a bench. Sit and relax and watch the birds in this beautiful oasis of a yard. Close to Rotery park on the Rio Grand and community pool. Within walking distance to downtown T Or C and several mineral hot springs.

The mineral springs hot tub is filled upon request so please let us know when you would like to soak, it takes about 2 hours to fill the tub so advance notice is needed.

There is a medium sized dog on the property full time, and I bring my small dog over when I'm soaking and both of them do bark from time to time.

Cute and cozy home in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from quirky downtown and historic hot springs. A large backyard with gas grill and firepit is a wonderful place to gather and create memories. Stargazing is surprisingly good here. Many different bird species have been known to stop by for a visit as well! A fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals. Linens and towels are provided. Main home has reliable WiFi for business or pleasure. The main house has two bedrooms with one queen and one double and a full bathroom. The bunkhouse in the back has a king size bed. There is another bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet in the laundry room out back. The washer and dryer are available for guest use as well.
You can bring your boat or RV, because there is plenty of parking space available for either! Elephant Butte Lake is only 5 miles away and offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and picnicking.
