BEDROOMS
1 - THE MASTER SUITE can be closed off from the rest of the house for extra privacy and quiet. Enjoy a restful sleep on a King size luxury mattress with100% cotton high thread count sheets, down bedding and black out curtains for when you want to sleep in. En suite master bath with large walk in shower and double sinks and lots of shelves and storage. Ample closet space and Elfa drawers available to unpack your belongings for longer stays. Connected to the master suite is a private office nook with a small desk and ergonomic desk chair.

THE SECOND BEDROOM features a new King sized luxurious medium firm mattress on a mid century modern style platform bed and 100% cotton high thread count sheets, down bedding and blackout shades.

THE COVERED PORTAL accessed from the back of the house via the dining room, this private space provides a covered outdoor space in which to dine and relax. An outdoor sink and two ceiling fans create extra convenience and comfort in the summer months. Enjoy breakfast outside at the modern dining table.

WORKING REMOTELY: many guests have opted for a longer stay while working remotely. In addition to two dedicated workstation areas, we have high speed internet and an Eero Pro mesh Wi Fi system to boost the wifi signal throughout the property. UPS and FedEx come directly to our door daily and a drop off for both is a short few blocks away.

BEACH TOWELS are provided if a visit to the local hot springs or lake is in your plans.

WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM provides filtered water throughout the entire home. Feel free to drink directly out of the tap!

COOLING - provided by a ducted evaporative cooler with screened vents in each bedroom area to circulate air throughout the house. Built in vents are in each bedroom which pulls the cool air through from the kitchen ceiling vent so no need to open windows. In the hot summer months, we recommend keeping the cooler on at all times to keep the inside temperature constant.

PARKING/HOUSE ACCESS:
There is one dedicated off street spot in front of the house. Additional vehicles can park on the street in front of the house. Other than on the street or in front of the house, there is no boat or trailer parking.

GUEST INTERACTION
Casa Chamisa is the main house on a large gated corner lot. We lovingly call it 'The Compound.' Next door to the main house is a another adobe casita where a family member lives (she's an artist and teacher). When in town, the owner lives in a separate unit located on the property and is available for any questions or concerns via phone or text (or in person), but will give you and your guests space and privacy you during your stay and will enter the house only if/when requested.

PETS on PROPERTY we have 2 rescue dogs on the property but they are inside their own fenced area. No additional pets are allowed on the property at any time for any amount of time.

SECURITY CAMERAS - There are two outdoor security cameras on the property: 1) near the front door and front parking area and 2) one in the back courtyard area

Under no circumstances are minors under 18 allowed to be alone in the home.

I have more pictures I was not able to upload but under the beds were full of bugs and dirt. The beds were shaky and not put together well... very uncomfortable. From my family to yours I would not recommend we would have been better staying at the motel 6. Much cleaner and more accommodating. This was the worst air b n b we have stayed at and so not worth the price they were asking! "

This 1,000 Sq. ft. cozy home has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is centrally located in the city in a really quiet neighborhood, Actually, its less than one block away (within walking distance) from the Truth or Consequences City Golf Course, about four miles to Elephant Butte Lake State Park, and also less than a mile away from downtown T or C, where you'll find the Hot Springs, Museum, Art Galleries, and shopping.

You'll find a beautiful private back patio area with a chiminea fireplace, natural gas BBQ, and fenced in back yard. The laundry room is attached to the back patio for you to use and we're sure you will enjoy the grapevines & pecan trees on the property as well.

If you travel with your pet(s), we have a small dish for food and water and there is a doggy door from the dining room to the back patio for your convenience. And a covered carport and plenty of parking out front for your vehicles & toys.

In the morning walk across the street to the large riverside park to get some exercise, do some bird watching, or visit the Farmer's Market. In the afternoon walk downtown for some eclectic shopping opportunities and to grab a beer or craft cocktail at the brewery.

The Parkside Retreat is a cozy bungalow built in the 60s and has been thoughtfully upgraded and decorated with local art that represents the quaint vibe of our little town. It would make a perfect couples retreat.

KITCHENETTE includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and is stocked with basics for drinking, eating, and snacking. The unit does not have a stove and is not setup for cooking full meals.

the yard has a 6 foot privacy fence the yard and is a beautiful zen oasis with lots of birds, picnic table, swing, hammock, gas grill, fire pit, several patio sets and a bench. Within walking distance to downtown T Or C and several mineral hot springs.

The mineral springs hot tub is filled upon request so please let us know when you would like to soak, it takes about 2 hours to fill the tub so advance notice is needed.

There is a medium sized dog on the property full time, and I bring my small dog over when I'm soaking and both of them do bark from time to time.

Its a vintage styled furnished apartment with a nice full kitchen. The apartment is very charming warm and friendly. There is a full bathroom. The living room also has a dedicated work space desk with surge protector outlet.

We can provide an extra roll away bed used when more than one person is staying in the Apartment (remember there is a charge for all overnight guests so please book accordingly). The roll away bed is adult "cot" size 79"L x 31.5"W x 16.5"H . Both the standard size twin bed and the smaller roll away are very comfortable both have supportive memory foam mattresses (more on the firm side) and both beds are not wired springs but instead have real suspended wooden slats under the mattress, so they are supportive and comfortable.

The kitchen is its own separate room with lots of storage and pots and pans. The kitchen has a four burner gas stove, a microwave, large capacity flash fryer convection combo toaster oven, and a coffeemaker.

The apartment has blazingly fast speed wifi. The small 24" smart TV gets local HDTV reception and ROKU smart streaming functions. Many channels for free, or you can access you netflix account or whatever streaming services you use.

Local Bus service is operated by South Central Regional Transit District. The Blue line bus is one block away at 3rd and Date. Adults $1 or 50cents for students, seniors, disabled . Local bus to Walmart or Bullocks grocery store, Elephant Butte lake state park and Williamsburg. Bus operated M - F and runs about every 1/2 hour.

There is a Regional bus line with a stop in Truth or Consequences on certain routes called Limousines Express. With buses stopping in T or C from Albuquerque, Socorro, Las Cruces, El Paso and other cities. Bus stop behind the Mc Donald's across street from Walmart which is about 3 miles from our location and can connect to the blue line at Walmart.

Guest access
Guest's main access is to the Apartment, the walkways to get directly to the apartment from the apartments and the parking lot. Guests do not have access to the back yard. Guest should not loiter in front of other apartments.

There is also a house across the parking lot from the airbnb apartments. That house is private. We asks guests to not go beyond the parking lot on that property or into that area through that properties side walk or front steps. It is clear to see because of gardening fence and curb around the parking lot that it is a seperate area.Therefore please do not go onto that property and please stay within the confines of the parking lot and your apartment. However on the west most side of the parking lot on the north west side of that private house there is an outdoor laundry area. Guest do have access to that from the west part of parking to get to the outdoor covered coin laundry machines which are on a paved area where the parking lot goes to those machines. So airbnb guest access is just to the laundry area from the parking lot not any other parts of that Private house area. Please never knock on that house's doors and if you need to contact us even in emergencies, Please first message through airbnb if that fails for some reason please call the number provided by airbnb and also posted in the apartment. Airbnb messenger is the preferred method of contact. We monitor it frequently and check messages. Thank you!

IMPORTANT: For bookings of guests with very little or no previous airbnb reviews, and all guests booking for over 28 days, we require you to send a pic of your driver's license a photo sent to us in a text right immediately after booking happens. We will remind you right away when we accept your booking request and although immediately when booked, airbnb will provide you with our cell number in our host profile, we will aslo message you our cell number in airbnb messenger immediately after booking so you can send your id photo. We reserve the right to cancel your booking If your driver’s licences is not sent to us.

Please remember if you book with more than one person there is an extra charge showing in the Airbnb listing per night per extra person. It needs to be approved by the owner so when booking you need to clearly choose the correct number in your party. Please do not book for just one person and show up with two people or have overnight guests. Unauthorized visitors are considered trespassers.

Please keep windows open when using the swamp cooler. it is a little noisey but works great.

We have quiet hours at night (see our house rules). This is not a party place however during the daytime there are sometimes activities going on in the parking lot, like people fixing their cars or hanging out outside at the picnic table talking. If you work nights and therefore have to sleep during the day, I think it is reasonably quiet, however you might want to have earplugs to block out any sounds from other tenants doing activities in the parking lot outside. It is not every day that cars are being fixed, but because we are do it yourselfers sometimes you might hear some tools from fixing cars or garden work happening on the property

For those wanting to extend or stay longer. if you do not not see opening on the calendar and dates are blocked out we might not be able to extend. However still message us on Airbnb to double check. Sometimes it might have days blocked out simply because we might travel and do not want to check in a new guest. however we could allow a continuous stay meaning if you were already checked in and staying continuously. So please simply message us if you want to see if we can accommodate the dates you would like.

LAUNDRY HOURS 7am - 9:30pm. cost per load is $2:00 washer and $1.50 Dryer (or free clothesline). The machines only take quarters.

EV CHARGING : We have one J1772 level 2 , 220v charger available that works at 16amps. Since there are a few airbnbs, if more than one guest has a EV you need to coordinate to share the level 2 charger or and you are also welcome to run a level 1 charger from your apartment. But please ask us before using any charger because depending on your battery size and needs we charge $5-$18 per charging and we can figure out a weekly rate if that is easier. Or rate is .05 cents per mile. We have you pay in advance per charge. There are also local fast chargers in town.

for safety and security the parking lot and outdoor common areas of the property has 24 hour video and audio surveillance cameras. By booking with us, you agree to being video and audio recorded when you are in these outdoor common areas.

Guests have access to the entire space with the exception of the cabinets in the laundry room. This room functions as storage for all of the houses on the property. There is plenty of storage in the rest of the casita for personal items.

Dear Pet Owners: 1 dog or cat is welcome. Please check for additional numbers. There is a $50.00 pet fee. This is to cover additional cleaning. Often we need to spend more time washing the floors, or remove hair from furniture. We do provide blankets to cover the bed and couch if your pet wants to hangout in those places. The pet fee is not intended to cover replacement bedding due to accidents, or removal of dog waste from the yard. While it is walled, the yard contains gardens that are important to me, as well as to other guests. The expectation is that all pet waste be removed from the yard by the pet owner and put in the trash. If your pet is a digger, or chewer, please keep a close eye on them while they are outside.

Welcome to The Ocotillo Hideaway! A peaceful retreat designed for comfort and relaxation. With a six minute drive to Elephant Butte Lake and Marina and a six minute drive to Hot Springs, New Mexico water district. It’s a perfect place in between for multiple adventures. Close to Spaceport, Hila National Forest, Elephant Butte Lake, Dam, and Truth or Consequences Hot springs, Downtown and Rio Grande River.

Outdoor & Entrance:

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a spacious, fully covered patio with picnic bench, perfect for enjoying the serene surroundings. Step inside to high-grade vinyl flooring that runs throughout the entryway and kitchen and bathroom. To maintain cleanliness, we kindly ask guests to remove their shoes upon entering.

Kitchen:

The fully equipped kitchen (NO OVEN) includes a full-size refrigerator/freezer and essential appliances such as an induction single-use cooktop, air fryer, pressure cooker, toaster, coffee pot, and ample dishware. Whether preparing a quick snack or a full meal, you’ll find everything you need for a convenient stay.

Living Space:

Relax in the cozy living area with a full-size sofa, small loveseat, and a circular table ideal for family games. 42 inch flat screen with internet(use your preferred APPS, No cable), the space is perfect for unplugging and enjoying quality time together. The room is equipped with a portable AC/heater, plush carpeting, and mini blinds for added comfort.

Bedrooms:

Main Bedroom #2: Features a king-size bed, a 6 drawer dresser, a 55-inch Smart TV for guests to utilize preffered APPS (NO Cable), we also have DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The room also includes a portable AC/Heater for your comfort. Carpeting and mini blinds.

Bedroom #1: NO Access to this room, room will be locked.

Bathroom:

The newly redesigned bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower with a glass door, a large sink with counter space, and a toilet with a slow-close lid/seat. Plenty of towels are provided for both home use and trips to the lake, additional items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and toilet paper located under sink in plastic bin. (Septic System please only toilet paper to be disposed in toilet all other to be thrown in trash)

Laundry:

A high-efficiency washer and dryer are available for small or large loads, with laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided for your convenience.(Just throw the laundry pod right in the washer). Cleaning Supplies in Laundry area cabinets above washer and below kitchen sink.

Important Details:

The property is on a septic system, so please dispose of only toilet paper in the toilet. All other items, including feminine products, should be placed in the trash and disposed of in the main trash bin at the front of the property.

Wi-Fi: The password is located on the modem in the main bedroom and on both AC units for easy access. We use a portable 25 MB Verizon Wi-Fi system, so connection speeds may vary. We appreciate your understanding.

AC/Heating: Portable units are in place but should not be moved, as they are vented directly outside. Keep the AC set above 70°F to prevent freezing and leave the unit running at your desired temperature for your stay.

Parking: Guests can park in front of the chain-link fence or pull inside behind the double gate. Please park in front of the boat storage area due to the septic system nearby.

The space
Our beautiful suite sits in a row of four guest rooms in an historic motor court, originally built in the early nineteen hundreds to house workers who constructed Elephant Butte Dam. It boasts lots of light with its vaulted ceiling over the kitchen and dining area. One step down, you enter into a cozy and serene space with bed on one side and living area on the other. Sit on your porch and watch birds cross the New Mexican sky by day and owls sail under the cosmos at night. A view of Turtleback Mountain will not escape you.

Suite 2 features a queen size bed and kitchen. The private bathroom has a walk-in shower. The functional kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove and cooking basics. Enjoy the other amenities such as organic olive oil, salt, pepper, organic coffee, organic tea, and organic half and half. Dine within the privacy of your suite or al fresco at the communal table. We also offer a $5 gift card to one of our local eateries within walking distance.

Nurture yourself with a soak in Truth or Consequences famous hot mineral water. There are several spas to choose from and we recommend making reservations in advanced. The spaces will fill up quickly, especially on the weekends.

For those interested in the healing arts, you can enhance your experience by adding massage therapy. We provide a lists of therapists, dedicated to your wellbeing who are available for a spa treatment.

We use biodegradable, fragrance-free cleaning products also made at home.

We have one special little feline, Abigail, who lives with us on the property. She is friendly and might want to come up to your patio to say hello. However, in respect to those with allergies, we don't allow her inside the guest rooms. Please help us maintain her vitality and longevity by not feeding her.

It’s been said we have a “glamorous hippie commune vibe!”- this is a place to relax and feel free. Silvia reigns queen at Glamp Camp- she is a vintage beauty- 45 feet long, spacious and cozy. The warmth of the original wood veneer throughout is stunning, and the many original features in the space will have you in awe as you appreciate the beauty of this design. With Mid-century modern furnishings and accents, you'll truly experience the delights of "Glamorous Camping!"

Sleep well on the Queen size hybrid mattress with a memory foam top. There is also a twin-size daybed w/ new foam mattress that can sleep an additional guest. Full bathroom, with a bath/shower and a flush toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an original 50's refrigerator and cookstove to preserve the overall history of the trailer, although the stove is not in use. We provide a french press and electric water kettle for your tea and coffee, an induction cooktop, and a toaster oven. There is NO TV. Silvia has a small outdoor patio, which is a wonderful place to watch sunsets or enjoy morning coffee.

Our onsite mineral hot springs are AMAZING- the water varies in temperature from 103°-111°. The water is extremely healing, including minerals magnesium, lithium, and silica, with no sulfur smell. The single largest ingredient in the water is chloride, a naturally occurring germ killer that sterilizes the skin and ensures the purity of the water. Tubs are filled and drained for each use; cleaned and sanitized by staff daily, and disinfected in between each use. We use all natural, CDC approved cleaning/disinfecting products. Guests have 24/7 access to 3 outdoor tubs, and one indoor jetted jacuzzi tub, first come first serve.

Adjacent to the bath house is a shaded outdoor lounge area, with couches, lounge chairs, and a chimenea fire place for cooler nights. Glamp Camp is an outdoor space, with plenty of room for social distancing. Masks are optional outdoors on property. Guests may choose to interact with one another in the shared common outdoor lounge, or enjoy the privacy of your own space.

Please note that while Silvia is beautiful, she is also rustic and made for CAMPING! Which means there are a few quirks: the hot water in the shower lasts about 3 mins, and there is NO TV! This is the desert, and while we do our best to keep them out, bugs may try to come in.

There are a few steps on the path from driveway to the porch, not compatible with wheelchair.

There is a smart thermostat in the main hall regulating central cooling/heating, and there is an additional mini-split unit in the master bedroom and space heater in the master bath.

We are centrally located in a downtown location on the main street in walking distance of the downtown and Hot Springs district. The apartment is tucked in back and is a quiet retreat-like space with simple accommodations, off street parking and private garden porch and outdoor area.

Home cooked meals and special welcome packages, may be available, ask if you are interested!

The space
Our large building includes three parts, each with their own entrances. First, with it's entrance on Date Street, is a 2000 sq. ft. Gallery and working studio, called "Artist Abbey". Secondly is our family's home, which has it's doorway on 1st Ave. Thirdly, the Artist Abbey Apartment, which is reached by a garden walkway from it’s 1st Ave driveway and has it's own private entrance.

The Artist Abbey Gallery will have art and music events on the T or C, "Art Hop" nights throughout the year, on the second Saturday of each month from 6:00pm-9:00pm. The Gallery will also host special community art events, and will be open on some business hours. We hope you will stop by!

You have complete use of the house. Front door entrance is located through the small gate and up 4 steps, so it's not ideal for wheelchair access. The secure lock code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival.

There is a common area barbecue that you are welcome to use, We now have TV in all rooms.

The Parkside Retreat is walking distance to all of Truth or Consequences favorite amenities. In the morning walk across the street to the large riverside park to get some exercise, do some bird watching, or visit the Farmer's Market. Next walk down the street to soak at Riverbend Hot Springs or any of the other hot spring resorts in town. In the afternoon walk downtown for some eclectic shopping opportunities and to grab a beer or craft cocktail at the brewery.

The space
The Parkside Retreat is a cozy bungalow built in the 60s and has been thoughtfully upgraded and decorated with local art that represents the quaint vibe of our little town.

KITCHENETTE includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and is stocked with basics for drinking, eating, and snacking. The unit does not have a stove and is not setup for cooking full meals.

A Primo water system is available that provides cold and hot bottled water on demand.

We stock the unit with fresh coffee, tea, and other light snacks for you to enjoy during your stay.

LIVING ROOM features a Smart TV where you can enjoy streaming from Netflix.

BEDROOM a California king sized mattress with high quality cotton or bamboo linens and black out curtains to ensure a great night's sleep. There is a Smart TV in the bedroom setup for you to stream Netflix as well as phone charger outlets, and two luggage racks and closets to stow away your things.

FULL BATHROOM includes a shower/tub combo, vanity and plush towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer are provided. There are also large beach towels in the linen closet for you to use at the hot springs or the lake while visiting.

OUTDOOR SPACES The property is landscaped and offers a couple of cozy outdoor seating areas.

A dedicated HVAC unit allows you to set the temperature to your liking during you stay.

SMOKING is ONLY allowed outdoors - this includes cannabis and vaping. Please be responsible and dispose of extinguished butts in the outdoor trash receptacle. SMOKING or VAPING INSIDE will incur a $500 charge taken out of the security deposit.

No PETS are allowed, however, I have two dogs who will not be in your space. You may hear them bark occasionally -- especially if they hear you coming and going.

The home is next to a large park so you may hear children playing, music, and cars driving by.

You will have access to the entire guesthouse including the adjacent outdoor spaces. The guesthouse is attached to my primary residence, but it has a separate entry and separate off-street parking.
