- "We loved that the location was secluded in the mountains yet was only a ten minute drive away from the market and restaurants. Home was wonderful; it was comfortable, and well stocked, as advertised. The property is beautiful. We loved walking our dogs in the woods and along the dirt road to Gillet Pond. We will absolutely be back, loved it." - "Such a picture-perfect VT spot. Second time for family winter break and it was perfect for us."

Experience contemporary living in a beautiful Vermont country setting. Fielder Farm offers a unique and stunning Vermont vacation rental home in the heart of the Green Mountains.
Relax in our post-and-beam, monitor barn home. Everything you need to make our home your home is provided. Let the gracious living area and professionally equipped kitchen inspire the host in you as you invite family and friends to enjoy a sunset from the second-floor windows or take a long soak in the hot tub after a day of your favorite winter activity.
On 230 acres, the Farm has its own backcountry trails, a sledding hill and with a little shoveling, the pond becomes your own personal ice rink. Access to the Catamount Trail is right out your door. Snowshoe to the top of Little Baldie then ride your board or skis home.
The highlight of the lower farm is the Pond. Surrounded by acres of maintained lawn, the Pond is the heart and spirit of the Fielder Farm. It provides an unlimited source of entertainment throughout the year and attracts even the most reticent of visitors. The water is deep, clear and irresistible. Stone steps and rocky outcrops make entering and exiting the water easy and pleasant in the heat of summer and getting on and off the ice hassle-free with your skates in the winter.
Guests enter the Barn on the ground floor through the Mud Room featuring a native slate floor, dozens of cubbies in a variety of sizes and ample wall space covered with hooks. No matter the season every guest will find more than enough space to stow personal gear.
As you climb the stairs to the second floor Living space your attention is immediately drawn up the custom post and beam frame to the arching bridge and Monitor ceiling 25 feet above. A half a dozen windows along the eastern wall offer a brilliant view of the pond, lower pasture, and mountains beyond and fill the space with light throughout the day all year long. This light is the perfect complement to the natural finish on the heart pine floors. The thoughtful arrangement and open design of the second-floor living space allows a number of activities to carry on harmoniously.
Paying close attention to the details can make a big difference when it comes to using a kitchen day-to-day. The owners of the Barn are keen chefs who spent months cooking in this kitchen. The Kitchen combines elegance and functionality, blending Vermont granite and butcher block countertops, heart pine floors with stainless steel appliances and wood cabinets. The social space encourages casual interaction and provides a bird’s eye view of the meadow and stream below.
The Kitchen is open to the Dining area and the view beyond. The extendable table allows seating for 10 with room for two more at the kitchen island.
Glass doors behind the dining table open onto the spacious deck making the gas grill convenient to the kitchen all year long. It is also the perfect platform for the 6 person hot tub.
Two bedrooms with similar appointments off the second-floor living space make sharing the Barn uncomplicated.
The Loft bedrooms are accessible by a modified ship’s ladder. Each Loft has 3 built-in twin beds, a walk-in closet and plenty of built-in drawer and floor space.
- "We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent hosts and incredible scenery and environment, will definitely come back again." - "First thing we did was jump into the pond, spectacular property and the scenery was lovely. Hosts were helpful, friendly and welcoming and we look forward to many more return mini-vacations at their property. We will miss the swallows and bull frogs singing to us, and the cows joining us for coffee or cocktails. And don’t forget to buy the homemade maple syrup by the 1/2 gallon, goes great on oatmeal and in your morning coffee."

- "Jim was a wonderful and gracious host. He greeted us on check-in and showed us around and was readily available to answer questions. Property was great and perfect sized for our family of 5. Loved the towel warmer in the master bath. Only thing I didn't realize is that the two apartments aren't side-by-side, but the upstairs apartments living room is over the master, which was hard on Dad who is a light sleeper when they walked around. Garage is standard 20x20 where the charger is so if you have a larger vehicle it might not fit in with door closed. We had to take the bike hitch off our Tesla Y. Otherwise great property and will likely be back. Great easily location. First 25 ft of road were a little intimidating, but rest of it was very well maintained. Thanks so much Jim!"

Fire pit outside the cabin. Charcoal BBQ for you to enjoy. Here the Dowsville creek from bed after a night of rain!
Four wheel drive in winter needed. Any car in summer is fine.
- "This was our third time staying here over the years and we just love it! It feels like you’re a million miles away from civilization, which is so relaxing, but yet you’re actually close by to many great things to do. We always go to Warren Falls and The Mad Taco and neither disappoints! Peter and Sandra’s place is a perfect spot to get away from it all. The view is spectacular and the cabin has everything you need. Will definitely be back again!"

- "It was a pleasure to stay in Kathy and Jims home. Although we hadnt realized it was their primary residence we couldnt have felt more at home while enjoying our time off the slopes of Mt Stowe. Their home is beautifully appointed and large enough to accomodate our entire group of 6 without feeling cramped. Their belongings, momentos, and family photos add lovely personality and did not feel overbearing or awkward. We're looking forward to renting the entire property for our next trip and explore more of Vermont! Cheers, Robert"

- "Such a cozy little spot. Minutes away from town and the perfect driving distance from Stowe and Burlington! This was our first time exploring Vermont (as adults) and this made the perfect homebase. Definitely bookmarking for the next visit - and our dogs felt right at home!" - "My husband and I stayed at this 1 bedroom apartment in Duxbury. This apartment is above the garage, in which you need to take stairs up to the bedroom. The full kitchen and bathroom are downstairs. The upstairs roof is a little low at times, in which I hit me head several times (most likely you would probably learn from your first few times to be a bit more careful but I sadly did not). Our room was comfortable and the apartment was very clean. The space is perfect for 2 people. It was easy to find, based on the instructions. But the owner does have 2 large dogs and we heard them barking every time we would either leave of arrive at the apartment. We would also heard them when the owners would come home, as they were excited to greet them. This wasn't an issue for us since we have a dog and the noise doesn't really bother us. But just wanted to make mention for others. Overall, this was a nice stay and would consider staying at this home again if I was to visit Vermont again."

Hosts are terrific. Highly recommended!" - "The Sled provided our family with all the comforts of home. Family dinners were easy to make and enjoy with the large kitchen setting. Pots, pans, and utensils were provided. It has one huge tile shower that is an exhibit to see. Expertly ventilated and very well designed. There is an abundance of towels and wash clothes. Laundry and an iron are available. Generally I wake up sore when I sleep in a different bed, but not on this trip. The comforters and sheets were very nice as well. The Sled has plenty of windows for fresh air or views. A very nice Weber grill and a cozy vibe all around, wait till you see the hardwood floors! We had a wonderful trip thanks to the comforts provided by the Sled."

- "We had a great time staying at this property! Unfortunately the first night we arrived the remnants of a hurricane was making it's way through and knocked down some trees and power lines. Because the power was out, we also were without water because the water pump didn't have power to pump the water up to the houses. Definitely a one off event, but Kimberly and the family were extremely accommodating and provided us with access to their nearby property with a private loft where we were able to use the bathroom facilities. The power company worked quickly and got the trees removed and powerlines back up by the following afternoon, so it was smooth sailing after that! We are a family of 6, so this house was more than enough room for us. Everything is a pictured and very clean. We come from NJ, 15 minutes outside of NY, so stepping outside at night to a sky full of stars was such an experience. This property is centrally located to everything we wanted to see and do, everything was within a 20-30 minute drive. We took a day and drove up to Montreal and spent the day in the city which is full of quaint shops, excellent food, and so much culture to take in. If you like hiking, definitely venture over to Mt. Mansfield! We are not hikers at all, and made it up to a spot at 3,000 ft. where you can see the entire valley, it's breathtaking. Because of the storm, we didn't get a chance to take advantage of the nearby river for swimming and canoeing, but we would have loved to. "

Cozy and homey 1850's farmhouse. Aims to find a balance between modern and rustic. Stunning views of Camels Hump Mtn and the Green Mountain National Forest. 20 - 40 mins away from 4 ski resorts and world class breweries. Miles of Hiking, snow shoeing, X country skiing, biking, and views right from the house. Located up a well maintained public dirt road. Feels like the middle of nowhere, yet short distance to Warren, Waitsfield, Waterbury, Stowe and Burlington. You won't want to leave....
- "Peaceful and quiet location with beautiful views. Short drive to surrounding towns. The house is an old farm house with some modern updates. The gas lights are intimidating but we did use them. One thing to consider for your stay is that the master bedroom (which is beautiful, spacious and comfy) is located upstairs and the stairs are kind of steep. The home runs on solar, and we have lived off grid before, so we were conscious about power usage while there. We had carried a small battery operated lantern with us that we used when going up and down the stairs at night. This place was so quiet that when a vehicle did pass by the house it startles you! Another small thing to consider is that apparently some places in the north do not use washcloths and none were in the house. We went to town and bought loofah sponges to use."

Lilla Rustica is an elevated cabin among the trees. Private, with Stunning views this was built by "The Tree House Guys" a local Vermont company whom can be found having a season on the DIY network. Tons of detail, while keeping the design natural and simple. Excellent porch facing views of Camels hump State park. A loft with one queen bed and downstairs has a queen bed with three sides of the bed having windows facing the views. Hiking offered right from the cabin. An awesome getaway!
Lilla Rustica cabin in the trees has a beautiful nestled in feel with incredible views from all windows. One of the highlights is the downstairs queen bed. Surrounded on three sides by windows you can look at the stars while lying in bed, or perhaps hear dear walk under the cabin while sleeping. Feel far from it all while still close to route 100 in Vermont which has Ben and Jerry's, Prohibition Pig, Stowe, SugarBush and the Mad River Valley, Lawsons and The Alchemist breweries, Lot of swimming holes and tons of hiking and mountain biking.
Internet is provided as well as a small refrigerator, luxurious sheets and pillows. Stay warm and cozy inside the treehouse with a propane fireplace.
Water is limited up in the trees, but you will be provided with all you need of some of the best Spring water you may have ever tasted. There is not a shower at this point in Lilla Rustica. We hope in the future build an outdoor shower, but for longer stays there are swimming holes, gyms and spas close by. The toilet for the cabin is located just at the end of ramp from the front door. About 5 second walk. It is private for those staying in Lilla Rustica. It is a porta pottty built to look like an outhouse. The advantage to this is that is rarely used and only by those guests of the cabin as well as fully cleaned and emptied very often. Having a toilet up in the trees is difficult. We know how important a clean bathroom is to guests and we think you will be pleasantly surprised with the experience. Beautiful cups and dishes are provided, dish towels, sheets, water, a way to make coffee and a small single burner gas stove. This cabin is super cozy and perhaps best for a couple. However, groups of four out having adventures during the day will love to come back to the cabin and enjoy its cozy feel in the evening.
- "Not only was the morning view gorgeous, but everything about this little cabin in the trees was clean and useful. We had everything that we needed, and the host was great with recommendations and easy check in. Thanks for a good escape!"

The canopy has ample room to stand although it is fairly crowded from the beds (see pic). The perch measures approximately 16’ in diameter with two twin beds and one double bed.
The campsite has a picnic table, fire pit/grill, an outdoor camping shower and several Adirondack chairs. There is a self-composting outhouse a short walk away.
Please note:
• There is no running water. T
•No pets or parties.
•Guests need to provide their own bedding/pillows.
•There is no electricity. Guests will need head lamps.
•This is a ‘pack in/pack out’ site. All food/ trash must be taken with you upon departure. Due to wildlife we encourage all food to be securely stored over night.
•The tent is not bug proof as the opening doesn’t close and there is airflow at the base of the tent. •Firewood should be brought in but can be purchased in advance. Message through the app if interested.
