Your home away from home is on 13 acres of land to provide a serene country setting. The main house is a 1700's built stone farmhouse that has been modernized where needed while still maintaining it's charm from when it was built almost 300 years ago! Additionally, there's a 2 bedroom guest cottage and last but not least an amazing pool & pool house.

On the outside, you'll find plenty of room to roam with expansive green space, hardscaped patios, porches, in-ground pool, and pool house. Let the stress melt away while set up in a rocking chair on one of the numerous patios. You'll also find gas fire tables at the main house and on the pool patio with numerous Adirondack chairs. Finally, perhaps the best for last is the resort-like pool area. It's easy to spend an entire day lounging poolside, swimming, playing games in the open air pool house, or perhaps just reading a book.... The list goes on as there's something for everyone! Even after the sun sets there's still plenty to do at the pool house with two smart TV's, gas fireplace with comfy furniture, shuffleboard table, and super unique wine barrel arcade console table with hundreds of pre-loaded games! *** Please note the pool house is a 3 season building. It's open from sometime in March (exact date depends on weather) till sometime in early November (again, exact date depends on weather). It's designed to be open air with windows, front, back, and on the one end along with 4 ceiling fans. ***

A center hall entrance into the main stone house provides an elegant first impression with voluminous ceilings, ornate moldings, custom tile floor, and stylish pendant lighting.

Moving first to the main living area you'll find wide plank flooring, two smart TV's, pool table, foosball table, and plenty of seating for everyone to gather.

On the other side of the foyer is the kitchen and dining room. I'll begin by first describing the remarkable chef's kitchen. These aren't cabinets that can be bought from Home Depot! Everything in the kitchen is custom, handmade, and truly one of a kind! You'll have all you need in this fully stocked kitchen with a duel fuel range (gas stove and convection oven), dishwasher, wine/beverage fridge, oversized refrigerator, wall oven, and plenty of cookware, flatware, and serving pieces.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a grand dining room with ornate moldings, ornamental fireplace, stylish lighting, and a large table with seating for 12 along with two additional pub tables that each seat 2. This is a room that at least in my mind really embodies the opulence of the home along with how much emphasis there once was on a formal dining space. It truly is a remarkable room that must be seen in person to be appreciated.

Heading to the rear of the home off the center hall and also accessible from the living room is a chic mudroom with pendant lighting, Hex tile floor, washer/dryer, and a half bath.

Completing the first floor is the den which is accessed off the mudroom. Your eyes will almost certainly be drawn to the walk-in fireplace, exposed beam ceiling, and comfy furnishings. Whether you're looking to play games, conversate, or perhaps just simply relax this is the perfect spot to do it.

Above the den on the second floor is the first of 7 main house bedrooms. The wide plank floors continue through this space as well. This bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, chest of drawers, and En Suite bath. The minimalist size bathroom packs a punch with quality design and finishes!

The remaining 6 bedrooms are accessed from the main staircase in the center hall and spread out between the 2nd and third floors. There's five bedrooms on the second floor and one "family suite" on the third floor. The aforementioned wide plank floors continue throughout these floors as well.

At the top of the main staircase off the upper hall is bedroom two which boasts a king bed, ornamental fireplace, chest of drawers, and comfy chair.

Moving further down the upper hall takes you next to what would be considered the master suite with king bed, ornamental fireplace, chaise lounge, make up vanity, and En Suite bath.

Moving to the southwest part of the 2nd floor you'll find two more bedrooms that are fairly similar to one another. Both with queen beds, dresser storage, additional seating and ornamental fireplaces.

The last bedroom on this level is a bright, fun, and cheery bunk room. This space is set up with a built-in twin over twin bunk AND a toddler bed. FYI, the toddler bed is NOT included in the sleep count of the home. Each bed has a reading light perfect for nighttime stories in bed. We hope this is a room children will enjoy and remember for years!

Completing the second floor is a hall bath with double bowl farm sink vanity, tiled walk-in shower, full size mirror, and plenty of lighting.

The last bedroom in the main house is up another set of steps on the third floor. This is a "family suite" with a king bed, twin over full bunk, and En Suite bath.

Finally, we have the detached 2 bedroom cottage. On the main level you'll find a living room, full kitchen, dining area, bedroom 1, and a full bath. The living room has a couch, chair, and smart TV, The kitchen is fully stocked with all essentials much like the main house kitchen. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and nearby access to the full bathroom which has a stand up shower and a single vanity. Moving upstairs there's a quaint "tree nook" room that provides some really neat views of the property with windows that span the room. The second bedroom up here also has a queen bed with direct access to the second full bath which has a tub only with no shower.

Early check-ins, and late check-outs are extremely hard to accommodate due to cleaning and maintenance schedules. Please do not assume these can be accommodated. If you would like more time, please book accordingly. Thank you for understanding!

*EXCESSIVE NOISE WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT BE TOLERATED.* With that said.... Sorry for the excessive caps! In all seriousness though I certainly don't want this to come off as our home being the "no fun house". Rather, I mention this simply to make the distinction between music being played at a reasonable volume vs at a 10 or someone yelling compared to people gathering and having a conversation. This would go for any time of the day but especially at night. The neighbors should not hear your music or feel like they're part of your conversation! Additionally, there are exterior security cameras in 4 locations. Back door of the main house, front door of the guest house, side door of the main house, and the pool house door.

- "My dozen-odd friends and I stayed here for a long weekend with small children, babies, and a schmedium-size dog. In short, we had a wonderful stay and thoroughly utilized much of the property's features. We filled every bed in the house and all found things to enjoy in the indoor common areas. We cooked elaborate meals in the beautiful, well-stocked kitchen, and dined indoors and out. We had so much fun in the pool and played a series of games on the lawns. A very large supermarket was conveniently located a 5-min drive away, and the surrounding area is downright bucolic. We also enjoyed great weather during our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again."

The house offers total privacy and relaxation on 5 private acres. Behind the property there are additional 300 acres of woods suitable for walking, hiking and even dirt bike riding.
Access to the house is via 1200 feet long private driveway which takes you to the top of the mountain and the middle of the forest. The closest house is only visible in the winter and is 350 yards away. This is a perfect place to escape the civilization.
The town of Hackettstown offers surprisingly variety of restaurants: Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and an award winning "James on Main" restaurant opened by a famous San Francisco chef who grew up locally and decided to return to his roots.
There are also 3 local breweries in town, right on Main street.
The house is located and hour from Manhattan, 30 minutes from the Delaware Water Gap (think kayaking and hiking) and 45 minutes from the ski and water park areas in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

There is a full house generator that comes on automatically in case of a power loss.

The home has a lot of outdoor living space. Between the 40’ long pool and deck areas there is nearly 10,000 sqft of outdoor living areas with a BBQ available.

Inside the home features elegant art, a massive eat in kitchen that seats 20 looking into an open dining room that accommodates another 8- 10 at the table. In the dining areas it features a 12’ wine bar between formal and casual dining. The wine bar features both red and white wine coolers already temp set to perfection.

The Great Room has large TV on marble fireplace, with a beer and alcohol bar for keeping beer ice cold and all your mixing beverages.

All TV’s are Roku Smart TV’s and Netflix, Amazon Prime, Show Time & Roku TV channels are available, any other channels your own membership or accounts will be needed.

General Policies

Please make sure the number of people in your booking matches the number of people who will be on the property. The Property is surveilled and extra fees may be added on or you may be asked to leave the property if rules are abused.

- Keep noise to a minimum after 9:30pm.

- Do not attempt to open non access doors or cabinets.

- Do not touch or play any of the instruments on display, they are for appearances only.

- There shall not be smoking inside the home. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied.

- PLEASE WASH YOUR DISHES after use. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied.

- PARKING: parking is provided on the driveway side by side. Our driveway is suitable for sedans or smaller SUVs. If larger/longer cars or if more than one car, you can park parallel in front of the house where the bushes are. No more than 10 vehicles unless noted by an management.

- We have a Pool Table in the home for our guest's entertainment. Please return all accessories to their rightful places at the end of your stay.

- Feel free to use the barbecue outside that is set up for our super guests’ leisure use only. Please make sure the BBQ is used away from the house. The BBQ is to be used by the guests who stay at the home and is not to invite others to the home as it will be considered as hosting a party. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required.

- Please acknowledge that from occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

- Do not rearrange our furniture.

- If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of the disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.

Lastly, because this is High End community not a hotel, and is also a personal residence home, so please be respectful of the property and keep it clean before you leave. (Respect the property and things) A Contract & minimum Security Deposit of $2,000 which can go up to $4,000 may be required pending the details of the stay.

- "We really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Crest Farms! The outdoor amenities were amazing... the fields and forests around us, the paddle & row boat, fishing, hiking, bball, and ping pong. And their were so many yard games available in their basement... cornhole, frisbees, volleyballs, and even croquet! Our kids loved being able to visit Urla and the cows each day. The Farmhouse is more rustic than the Guesthouse... an 18th century home with a modern kitchen and bathroom. The Guesthouse is actually roomier with more communal space and seating. Our hosts were very communicative and hospitable. Highly recommend if you want to get off the grid and enjoy a nature-oriented vacation!"

This Central Air-Conditioned & radiant Floor Heated Home sits on 2 private, fenced in acres. We have a Pool, Hot Tub, walk-out Basement Game Room/Bar Party area! Pool open late April until October, heat possible with deposit & additional fee.
We have 5 Bedrooms (+ Gym sleeps 4) total to sleep 16 people, (2 with King beds), only 1 King bedroom is on Main floor, others require stairs. We have several air mattresses; & or even bring your own Tent for the backyard. Our allowed maximum occupancy of 24. Fee of $ 300/pp over the base house rate for 16 people; Extra Guests may be required to bring their own beds and/or bedding, etc. please inquire.

Front Porch has 2 Adirondack rocking chairs, to sit an enjoy your morning Coffee or a quiet afternoon glass of wine on the Front Porch Swing. Our Doorbell is a Ring Camera Device, which is turned off after your arrival, and turned on upon departure day.

We have big grass (fenced) yards for the Dogs to run & play; also, Volleyball/Badminton Net. Basketball Hoop in large, paved driveway which can park 8+ cars.

In the wintertime 2 sledding hills for the kids (and Adults) we have 3 Sleds! 6/8-person Hot Tub that heats to 105 degrees! Our 2-Sided Fireplace is huge & awesome!

We are also within driving distance (less than 1 hour) to several Ski Mountains & Indoor Waterparks for easy Day trips! less than 1/2 hour to Blair Academy.

Help yourself to our Garden for fresh vegetables and please water it when needed!

Pool Patio is beautiful! Just a few steps off the Back Dining Porch with Table for 8, is our Pool & Cabana. We have Cornhole Boards (2 sets) & a Cabana with Bar, TV, Refrigerator & Freezer. Cabana has Ceiling Fan, TV, and Alexa for Music. Also has an Audiocast hook-up to play your own music on Outdoor Pool/Porch speakers.

Our Pool is custom built with 2 Sun Shelves for chairs to bask in the Sun & Water! We have a 5' round Dog Pool (in the Shed) to cool off the Pups & also a Doggie Door in the Dining room so they can go in and out as they please, to give you more relaxed time. (Can be blocked shut)

Outdoor wood fire-pit with seating & another outdoor Gas-burning Fire table with rocking cushioned seats.

Up the spiral stairs, is a Loft and Queen Bedroom. The Loft/Office overlooks the Great Room and sleeps 4 in 2 Queen beds; there is a little extra room for another air mattress. Also two twin air mattresses could sleep in the loft near the Office desks. There is a TV, Fan, Mirrored Vanity and Book Library.

Through the Dining area/Kitchen there is a ½ Bath (also opens out to Pool Porch Patio), Full sized LG Washing Machine & Dryer; Large Country Pantry; Hooks and Shelves for Coats, Boots, Shoes, etc. Kitchen has a Ninja Coffee Maker & also a Keurig Coffee Maker; large Frig & Freezer, Gas Stove & Oven; Ninja Air Fryer/Toaster Oven.

Up the stairs over the Garage, to the “Apartment Wing” with Living Room with large TV, Bathroom with Walk-in Shower with Window & 2 Queen Bedrooms (East/West Wing); has small kitchenette with 4 Counter Bar stools, Oven, Stove, Microwave, Toaster Oven, Regular Size Pot Coffee Maker & also a Nespresso Coffee machine, Sink, & small Refrigerator; each Bedroom has its own Fan.

Garage is locked for owners storage.

Vacation Renters can use the Storage Shed next to the Garden. Shed holds 2 Adult Female/Male bikes with Helmets; Pool Toys; and 4 snow Sleds in the winter.

There is a Mountain Lake nearby and the Lake has a General Store. It is electric motors only. You can fish and hike the Jenny Jump Mtn Trail. Also is Silver Lake, less than 5 miles away. I can provide some kayaks and life vests with prior notice.

This home was designed by prominent New York architect James Gamble Rogers who is best known for his academic commissions at Yale University, Columbia University, Northwestern University, and elsewhere. It was built circa 1929 by the Riegel Paper Company as an executive retreat. The interior was artfully constructed with raised panel molding, painted plaster walls and ceilings, a large masonry fireplace, decorative box beam ceiling and distressed oak flooring with cup head nails.

Upon entering this estate you will be greeted by the grand foyer and a game room and formal sitting room on either side.
