The inside is well appointed with a new, modern kitchen and ample bathrooms. The wifi speeds were surprisingly good and presented no problem. The living space extends outside to a fire pit and a pickleball court with a basketball hoop. The hosts/managers answers questions quickly. There are several restaurants within 25 minutes. We are 25 minutes from Berkeley Springs, WV, a tourist area with mineral baths and spas, this is a historic area. We are located 15-30 miles to three state parks, one which has a beach area, horseback riding, and a golf course. We are located 1/2 mile from State Forest and State game lands. We are one hour from multiple ski resorts. We have a (2) night minimum(unless states otherwise). No pets allowed.

Cons: superficially, the home was clean but the house would greatly benefit from a professional deep cleaning to remove crud from couch cushions, and hard-to-reach corners. Mice droppings found in some kitchen areas and warranted us disinfecting all of the silverware, plates, etc. before use. We are in a rural area so mice are common but property should be thoroughly cleaned between reservations to ensure mice food sources are eliminated. Carpet in one of the bathrooms. Looked clean but there is no way carpet in a bathroom can be sanitary. Portable air conditioner was too loud in the loft bedroom for one of the guests that she was unable to stay in the room and had to crash on the living room couch. Overall, great home and would consider staying again for a short stay if I could be assured that the property was deep cleaned and had no evidence of mice activity."

The nearest building is a half mile away, and you truly have your own space while enjoying a fantastic view from the deck!

Inside, the cabin offers an open layout with a sleeping Loft, a full kitchen, a cozy living space with 2 sofas and a recliner, a flat screen tv, and an electric fireplace.

The cabin interior has been recently updated and is clean and comfortable, but it is an imperfect cabin with some unpainted wood, off-level floors, etc.
As with any timber framed cabin in the woods, some level of wood dirt and bugs should be expected.

There are 2 bedrooms and one full bathroom on the main floor. An open Loft with steep loft steps hosts another 4 beds. The kitchen is fully stocked (no food), as well as a living space with 2 sofas and a recliner. A flat screen tv, electric fireplace, and washer/dryer are also provided for you.
There are several books and a few children's toys to help bring enjoyment to your vacation time.

Outside on the deck area, there is a hot tub, flat-top gas grill, and table with chairs. This deck and hot tub area is a dream spot to watch a morning sunrise , catch a glimpse of some wildlife, or enjoy time with a book and coffee in hand.
There is a campfire space with wood chips and outdoor seating located just off the deck.

Aside from the large deck, there is not much usable yard area for outdoor yard games.
A corn hole game is located in the outdoor shed if you want to get a game going!

The driveway that leads to the Red Cabin is a long, gravel driveway that is relatively steep in a few places as it leads you up the side of Sideling Hill Mountain. When passing the home at the bottom of the hill, there is a sign that points you up the driveway towards the Red Cabin.
Please be aware that we recommend a vehicle with 4WD in the winter.
