- "My husband and I are in our 80's and we were joined by family from across the country, ranging from 60 to 12 years old. There was something there for everyone. The younger folks had their own area to play games, billiards, and ping pong downstairs. Since we don't do stairs well, we had everything we needed on the first floor and were very comfortable. The hosts were exceptional with how they provided little extras. They even had coffee pods for us on the first day. I feel bad that I didn't get enough to leave replacements - even my replacements were all used up before I realized it. The fact that they had both types of coffee pots, an ice cream freezer, plenty of dishes and cooking supplies made it easy to enjoy time "at home" with the gathered family having meals. We really enjoyed the fireplace on the deck in the evening when it wasn't raining, and it was wonderful there were so many seating areas outside that someone could get get away from the crowd if they needed to. I can't say enough good things about both the house and the hosts, they were responsive and so pleasant. The views are fantastic and we left with many pictures, to include the precious deer wandering everywhere. We would highly recommend this rental for any family with various ages - or anyone else. It was spectacular."

This cozy home is located in the small town of Grottoes, Virginia nestled between the shade of an old Oak Tree, Maple Tree, and Pine Trees. It sits on approximately three acres with a large field behind the house where kids can run and play. In the Spring and Summer, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the rose garden in the back yard. My father passed away in March of 2017 and left behind the old home place. He spent many hours in his rose garden and enjoyed delivering them to his wife in the nursing home. Since his passing, I've completely renovated this beautiful old home on Dogwood Ave and have also began to learn the art of growing roses. My father loved to help others and loved people and I am carrying on the tradition of helping others by offering a location where folks can come away, relax and unwind. There are two lovely bedrooms; one of which has two antique brass beds. There is a special room in memory of my father who was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition, there are games for all ages and many books and memorabilia to enjoy. The kitchen has a modern yet retro look to it. There is an old red Formica table that seats four. You can also sit and enjoy the big screen TV while seated at the bar in the kitchen. There is a coffee station completely furnished with coffee and teas to choose from.

- "Good times!" - "Had never heard of Massenutten prior to this trip! What a wonderful house with the great amenities of the resort! The area is beautiful! I have never stayed in a cleaner home than this one!" - "We would definitely stay here again. Here are the pros—Cleanliness: Everything was incredibly clean, I would say cleaner than many non-pet-friendly places we’ve stayed. Tubs were in great shape, we didn’t have any hesitation about utilizing jet tubs in bedrooms. Even the bbq grill was clean. Comfort: Plenty of places to sit and relax, comfy couches and chairs on both floors. Mattresses and provided pillows were supportive not too firm or too soft. We slept very well. Amenities: House had everything we needed with some small exceptions(see cons), the game room setup downstairs was a great place to hang out in the evenings. Resort amenities were wonderful. We especially loved the petting farm, highly recommend if you are traveling with little ones who like animals or is something fun to do if adults enjoy petting sheep and goats :) Here are the cons, but there aren’t many— No spices/salt/pepper: One of the great things about VRBO homes is that you can usually find salt pepper and maybe some other spices or cooking oil in the kitchen. This kitchen is very well organized and nicely stocked but it’s clear anything left behind is tossed. Accentuated by the empty salt and pepper shakers nicely arranged on dining table. Not a big deal but come prepared! Dish soap, sponge, dishwasher tabs, trash bags and paper towels are provided with enough to last a long weekend, maybe even a full week. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would love to go back in summer!"

Property is located on 5 acres in farm country with outstanding views of the Blue Ridge and Massnutten Mountains.

The space is 900 sq feet studio basement apt. with your own entrance and patio. It is net zero , energy efficient, space with a sleeping, sitting, dinning and TV areas(direct TV and Chrome Cast).

The kitchenette is equipped with everything you might need - a mini fridge, microwave, convection toaster oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, crock pot, outside electric grill. Coffee and paper products supplied. Our well water is filtered and sanitized with UV light. No need to bring bottled water. We have a induction counter cooker for stove top cooking, but ask for that amenity, as proper use is important.

This beautifully appointed basement space, affectionately called the "Boojie Basement" located within a hilltop "castle" with views of both countryside and farmland is like nothing else! Deer and wildlife abound... Sunsets and sunrises are one of a kind!

We provide plenty of privacy so you can fully enjoy your stay.

This luxurious spot features over 2000 sq feet of space with a large 2 bedroom and additional room with full pull-out sofa, fully equipped large kitchen (full size fridge and appliances), full size washer & dryer, bathroom with shower, Spacious living room, kitchen, gas fireplace, fire pit and sitting area. This beautiful space also features a game room with Shuffleboard, poker table, and Foosball. Outside, there is a beautiful pergola with solo stove and seating to enjoy the blissful evenings under the stars.

Looking to work in a comfortable space from afar? We offer high speed internet and office space to work remotely. The luxurious space features hardwood flooring throughout. It is located within a 12,000+ square foot house, fully fenced yard and gated for extra security.

The bedroom spaces feature an upholstered queen bed, luxurious mattress and bedding. The living room features a sectional sofa and decorative chairs with a 75-inch smart TV so you can enjoy your favorite show or big game! TV includes Netflix, You-tube TV, HULU, and prime TV. There is also a large entryway space that features a sleeper sofa.

The space is inside a private, gated and fenced-in area with private/separate parking. The entrance is private and separate from the rest of the house. This space is conveniently located close to Interstate 81. Situated close to Bridgewater College and 15 minutes from JMU.

*Sipe Center--Enjoy plays, shows and movies in a quaint movie space. Located on Main Street in Bridgewater. (2 minutes away)

*Generations Park --Ice skating in the winter with firepits and restaurant. Summertime the rink turns into outside music venue. (3-4 minutes away)

*Putt Putt Golf and Sandy Bottom--enjoy putt putt golf or golf range (3-4 minutes away)

*Enjoy kayaking or swimming in the north river. There is a river walk near the Bridge just minutes from our home. The river is less than a mile from the property.

*Enjoy the local shops and dining on main street Bridgewater. Our favorite is Cracked Pillar, NY Flying Pizza and Bridgewater Coffee Company.

This is the basement of the home. We have children and a dog so there is a potential to hear both. We try to be as mindful as possible when guests are staying in the home about noise. The rental does not include use of the pool. You are welcome to walk and enjoy the property including the pond. Please make sure there is always adult supervision with children at the pond. We do allow pets but NO CATS. There is a nightly rate of $35 per pet which we will request separately.

- "good" - "The place was amazing! So big and beautiful!" - "Beautiful property in the country and farmland. Easy to find location very close to Bridgewater and close to Harrisonburg. Nicely appointed and very spacious rental with multiple rooms with every amenity you could ever ask for. Only drawback would be the property owner has children and they were enjoying themselves and doing what children do. But I have kids and don't really care, some people might. Overall definitely worth the value."

We will not interact with you and provide plenty of privacy so you can fully enjoy your stay.

This luxurious spot features over 1200 sq feet of space with a large 1 bedroom and additional room with full pull-out sofa, fully equipped large kitchen (full size fridge and appliances), full size washer & dryer, bathroom with shower, Spacious living room, kitchen, gas fireplace, fire pit and sitting area. This beautiful space also features a game room with Shuffleboard, poker table, and Foosball.

Looking to work in a comfortable space from afar? We offer high speed internet and office space to work remotely. The luxurious space features hardwood flooring throughout. It is located within a 12,000+ square foot house, fully fenced yard and gated for extra security.

The bedroom space features an upholstered queen bed, luxurious mattress and bedding. The living room features a sectional sofa and decorative chairs with a 75-inch smart TV so you can enjoy your favorite show or big game! TV includes Netflix, You-tube TV, HULU, and prime TV. There is also a large entryway space that features a sleeper sofa.

The space is inside a private, gated and fenced-in area with private/separate parking. The entrance is private and separate from the rest of the house. This space is conveniently located close to Interstate 81. Situated close to Bridgewater College and 15 minutes from JMU.

*Putt Putt Golf and Sandy Bottom--enjoy putt putt golf or golf range (3-4 minutes away)

*Enjoy kayaking or swimming in the north river. There is a river walk near the Bridge just minutes from our home. The river is less than a mile from the property.

*Enjoy the local shops and dining on main street Bridgewater. Our favorite is Cracked Pillar, NY Flying Pizza and Bridgewater Coffee Company.

This is the basement of our home. We have children and a dog so there is a potential to hear both. We try to be as mindful as possible when guests are staying in the home about noise. The rental does not include use of the pool. We do allow pets but NO CATS. There is a nightly rate of $35 pet pet which we will request separately.

- "The place is pretty neat to stay in, really a wide open space. The only issue I have is at night you can hear the air and plumbing due to it being a basement, but you get use to it. The views are beyond believe in the morning. Be sure to follow the directs to get there and arrive prior to sunset to help you park your vehicle. I would recommend this to a family for the game room and the wide open space. " - "We only stayed one night, but the few hours were disappointing. I was expecting to write a glowing review after my request was granted for an early check-in. The property is gated, and the gate was not working so we were unable to enter upon arrival. The property advertises it can accommodate up to four people, but there were no sheets for the second bed and only two sets of towels for our party of three. There were no instructions on how to access streaming channels on the large Roku tv that was in the main room, so when we tried to watch Netflix, we were asked for a pin we did not have. I reached out three times to the property manager, and none of the times did we receive a reply. Additionally, the property is located in the basement of the property owner's residence. Noises from above were heard throughout our stay, including between 5 and 6 am on a Sunday morning. All in all, we will likely return to hotel stays where we can get problems resolved at all hours. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cabin has plenty of space both indoor and out! There are three large decks off this home, with birds eye views of the woods around you. This cabin is located in the heart of the Massanutten Resort community which boasts indoor water park, rec centers with pool and hot tub, gyms, trails, fishing, golfing, and so much more! This is one of the closest places to stay near Skyline Drive as well! Do some hiking in Shenandoah National Park this year! Enjoy the wildlife that walk right up to the chalet such as deer, half a dozen types of song birds, the occasional possum and racoon! Also close to JMU so if you are in the area for a college function enjoy a bit of relaxation within the resort. The large great room which includes the livingroom, dining area and kitchen is bright and airy. You can keep an eye on the little ones while making breakfast. Keurig in the kitchen means you have the caffeine you need to get going in the morning! After a day of hiking, relax in a pillow top mattress which will both hug you and support you while you sleep. Our home is in a quiet & family-friendly neighborhood. The place is cozy, clean, & sanitized. Guests have a private entrance to a whole floor with 2 bedrooms, private bathroom, living room, small kitchenette and a study area. We live upstairs. Guests have excellent internet connection. Close to highway 81, JMU, Sentara RMH hospital.
We are 20 miles to the National Park, and close to several restaurants. Ideal for short-term stays. There is a dedicated parking spot and tandem parking is possible.

Our space is a finished basement with a living area, full kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom and its own, private entrance. We recently renovated it after moving in. some of the highlight include brand new granite countertops, a Keurig coffee machine, and mini fridge.

Guest access
Guests have the basement apartment to themselves. The fire pit and upstairs porch are off limits but you can sit on the concrete patio which is shared with us. We hope to add some patio furniture in the near future.

This lower level basement apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families. We are located 12 minutes from Downtown Harrisonburg, 16 minutes from Massanutten Resort, 26 minutes from Shenandoah National Park, and 8 minutes from the exciting James Madison University. While we are 2 miles from the hospital and Walmart, you’ll be tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a big yard and our infamous sideways growing pear tree.

The space
This recently remodeled furnished basement apartment has all the comforts of home. The kitchen features a stainless steel dishwasher, toaster, and electric stove, as well as a full-size fridge, Keurig, coffee pot, air fryer, crockpot, and microwave. You’ll have full access to your own front-load washer and dryer located at your private entrance. The 55” Roku TV in the living room is on Guest Mode so you can confidently sign into any streaming channels and they will automatically sign you out upon checkout. The futon (sofa bed) opens to a single/twin bed (38" wide × 75" long) and a queen sized air mattress can be found in the container under the shelves in the kitchen. Extra bedding and pillows for the air mattress can be found in the small cabinet in the bedroom. The bedroom features a memory foam topped Queen sized mattress. An assortment of books, board games, movies, and games for the Wii are located in the secretary by the entrance. Wifi is provided for your convenience.

Guest access
When you arrive, a front parking space will be saved for your use. Follow the white gravel pathway to the back of the house to your completely separate entrance to the entire apartment. A code for the smart lock will be provided for self check-in. We have a large fenced in yard, both in the front and the back, that you are welcome to share with the host/family. Please help yourself to any pears from the tree in the backyard. Children must have adult supervision when in the front yard area around the pond.

Other things to note
While the entire apartment is yours, please keep in mind it is attached to our home. In our 1967 brick ranch house, you may hear ambient noise from time to time. You may hear muted voices or steps down the hall, but we do our best to be respectful and quiet. We have two indoor cats and a small dog who occasionally get a case of the “zoomies” so you may hear the chunky one running around at times but it typically doesn’t last long.

Escape to our guest suite in the Shenandoah Valley. Nestled on 2.5 acres, our charming home offers a private entrance and a cozy retreat. The space
If you are not a dog person this is probably NOT the AirBnB for you. Our pets have access to the yard so you will see them and they will want you to pet them. We have a box of treats on the fence so you can make friends immediately. We have a very friendly senior boxer, ELI (looks intimidating but he is harmless). We have a young Boxer/Hound mix ELSA (she is young and playful and still in training). Occasionally we have backyard chickens and an indoor/outdoor cat Charlotte, you will probably never see.

We have a nice size home and you will certainly have your privacy. We are a family with respectable kids living on the first and second floors. This home is a separate building located on our property in Rockingham County VA. The only neighbors you might run across are the cows that graze in the adjacent field or our one neighbors friendly farm dogs that occasionally like to come greet guests. The best part of our property is that it feels like you are out in the middle of the country, but you are actually 5 minutes from grocery shopping, gas, and takeout food.

The back door to our Airbnb is handicap accessible, please reach out to us if your party requires this type of accessibility.

This property is adjacent to open fields on two sides as shown in the pictures, one of which sometimes has cows. If your party would be more comfortable in an urban setting there are excellent hotels in town that may suit you better.

Please also keep in mind this is not a resort. It is our personal property which we take great pride in and love to share. However if you are looking for a luxury resort feel, Massanutten Four Seasons Resort is only 20 minutes away from our location.

We have a very friendly golden retriever named Shea who runs around all day in the yard adjacent to the guest house. She will likely bark at you when you arrive but don’t be alarmed she is super friendly. Feel free to say hello and pet her!

This space is new construction. Beautiful neighborhood. Very private. (Host has 2 kids. You may hear them upstairs) Only minutes from Natural chimneys campground, Stokesville, Todd, Elkhorn, Staunton dams and the famous Mossy Creek for great fly fishing. Great location for easy access to mountain biking, hiking and fishing. About 13 minutes from Bridgewater College, Bluestone Vineyard, and Dynamic Aviation. This studio has a patio outside the door with a charcoal grill. Very peaceful. Lots of birds. Walk in basement. The bathroom is complete with tub and shower, large sink and mirror. Washer and dryer. The space
Kitchen:
Please help yourself to anything in the fully equipped kitchen & the coffee bar. Placemats and board games are located in the center storage area of the dining room table. In the closet next to the table, you’ll find cleaning supplies, garbage bags, extra towels, a clothes drying rack and folding chairs.

Bedroom:
There is a smart TV over the 1st dresser, and each bedside lamp has a USB port. In the closet are a dresser, an iron and ironing board and clothes steamer. In addition, you’ll find a personal safe, and comfy terry robes.

Bathroom:
Towels and toiletries are stocked in the bathroom, and a hair dryer is in the drawer of the bathroom vanity. There is a basket of “essentials” under the vanity.

Living Room:
A large smart TV is available for guests' use. The pull-out couch contains a queen- sized inner spring mattress, and will already be made with fresh linens. There are pillows and an extra blanket in the drawers under the bed.

Work space:
The desk has both a power and a USB outlet on the back left. A retractable split charger is attached, which will fit a variety of cell phones. In the desk drawer you’ll find menus to local restaurants.

Patio, pool & backyard:
Guests have access to multiple grills, a cozy fire pit, ample outdoor seating, playset, an above ground pool, swings next to the pond and all open grounds during their stay. Grill tools are located in the left drawer of the long table on the patio. Please clean any grills or outdoor areas accessed during your stay. There are beach towels in the living room closet, and a fold up drying rack. There are adult-size donut type pool floats in the storage cabinet behind the pool, and kid water wings, vests and toys in the chest next to the pool. Owners also use these spaces for their family but welcome guests to join them!

The apartment is small, but has a well furnished kitchen if you should choose to cook. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy the outdoor seating area and table. Next door to the apartment, is a separate, spa area for ionic foot detoxification. If you are interested in a treatment, please ask for more details. I am currently offering a detoxification package for 2 people (you can do it together simultaneously) for $80. Most people find it very relaxing and it is especially helpful for inflammation.

Other things to note
I am open to 3 people coming as long as you are not loud, and know that the second bed is twin size and is a pullout in the main living area, and not a regular bed in another bedroom. If you are ok with that, so am I. I truly want guests to be comfortable and get exactly what they are expecting.

The space
Our bus has some quirks, but that's what makes it extra charming! Here are some details you should know before deciding if our bluebird is the best fit for your getaway!

*Our bathroom has a shower head that you may need to duck under, or even sit down on the little tiled ledge to rinse off! (think like an RV shower!) It also has a toilet that works like a porta-potty... no flushing! There is a funnel for urine to go down into a tank, and solids/paper are collected in a chamber towards the back. There are shavings and a fan that draws air out that take care of smells! If you have any issues or need your tank emptied quicker than usual, just send us a message! We’re happy to help!

*Our bluebird bus runs off of solar panels! The lights, the running sink water, the tv, the outlets... with one exception: if you choose to run the AC/heat unit, you will have to start up our bus generator. (instructions provided inside the bus manual) We do have radiant floor heating as well as a mini wood-burning stove that keep the bus warm on cooler nights, but would not be sufficient for winter time.

*Our queen bed sleeps two adults comfortably, and our bench/sofa seat sleeps one child! If you would like to invite additional guests to bring a tent and tent camp beside the bus, you are more than welcome, as long as you have accounted for them in the booking process. There are towels & dishes for up to 6 people!

We would best describe our bluebird bus as a glamping adventure stay! It has the feeling and seclusion of camping, but with luxury and charming amenities!

Overview:

The springhouse is on the same property as the main pre-civil war home. This property is in very close proximity to the Cross Keys Battlefield and can be seen on the historical civil war maps. A new addition was added to the small springhouse to make a larger, cozier space with modern amenities. All of the water for the springhouse will be supplied by the same productive spring from the mid-19th century.

Bedroom:
You will get to enjoy and sleep in the original springhouse featuring shiplap and original hand-hewn beams overlooking a small pond and rolling farmland. This bedroom is very cozy and features a king bed.

Living Room:
Seating for two and plenty of natural light adorn the living room with 16' vaulted ceilings, a 50" smart TV, and an electric fireplace. Listen to your favorite music on the amazing-sounding Bluetooth stereo with wired speakers.

Kitchen:
The modern farmhouse kitchenette has a single bowl sink, microwave oven, 2 burner induction stovetop, and a small refrigerator. A Keurig, toaster and some cooking utensils will be provided for your convenience. A bistro table and two stools are located in the kitchen as well.

Bathroom:
Enjoy the spacious bathroom with a frameless glass shower, a rain shower head supplied by fresh spring water, a 30" vanity, and a toilet.

Outdoor Space:
Unwind by the chiminea fire pit under the patio lights in a quaint and private area under the trees, or relax in the hot tub overlooking the rolling hills on the private deck.

This property is near JMU for convenient homecoming or parents' weekends. Massanutten is 12 miles from the property. There are also 3 wineries within 4 miles. A "pick-your-own" farm is located .6 miles from the Springhouse as well as White Oak Lavender Farm. Cross Keys Battle Field is .7 miles away. A short drive will bring you to charming downtown Harrisonburg featuring 4 breweries and many unique shops and restaurants. A beautiful and scenic trip will take you to Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, or the Afton mountain 151 trail area.

Septic System:
Due to the quaint and remote location of the Airbnb, I do not have a public sewer system, I have a sewer pump grinder for the septic system; only human waste and toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. No wipes (even flushable ones), no feminine hygiene products (including pads and tampons) can ever be flushed down the toilets. There will be a cost of $300 if I need to have the system repaired during your stay.

This luxurious spot features over 2000 sq feet of space with a large 2 bedroom and additional room with full pull-out sofa, fully equipped large kitchen (full size fridge and appliances), full size washer & dryer, bathroom with shower, Spacious living room, kitchen, gas fireplace, fire pit and sitting area. This beautiful space also features a game room with Shuffleboard, poker table, and Foosball. Outside, there is a beautiful pergola with solo stove and seating to enjoy the blissful evenings under the stars.

Looking to work in a comfortable space from afar? We offer high speed internet and office space to work remotely. The luxurious space features hardwood flooring throughout. It is located within a 12,000+ square foot house, fully fenced yard and gated for extra security.

The bedroom spaces feature an upholstered queen bed, luxurious mattress and bedding. The living room features a sectional sofa and decorative chairs with a 75-inch smart TV so you can enjoy your favorite show or big game! TV includes Netflix, You-tube TV, HULU, and prime TV. There is also a large entryway space that features a sleeper sofa.

The space is inside a private, gated and fenced-in area with private/separate parking. The entrance is private and separate from the rest of the house. This space is conveniently located close to Interstate 81. Situated close to Bridgewater College and 15 minutes from JMU.

We do allow pets but NO CATS. There is a nightly rate of $35 per pet which we will request separately.

We have tried not to overlook any space in the house and I'm sure you will find that it is full of thoughtful touches to make your stay a special and memorable experience.

Families with children are absolutely welcome, but the home is not 100% child-proofed. Please supervise your children.

Just a heads up, being surrounded by nature means you might encounter some bugs, critters, and furry friends, especially in the warmer months. While it's all part of the rustic charm, we want to make sure you're prepared. Even with caution, a few bugs might sneak in, so let's work together to keep them at bay. Keep doors and windows closed tight all the time. Thanks for understanding!
