- "We really enjoyed our stay here! The accommodations were definitely rustic, but so peaceful! We loved the woodwork in the house and the woodsy details, and it was nice they had some dvds handy if we wanted to watch something on tv! The setup of the bathroom (shower was in the bedroom area) was unique, but fine if you’re comfortable with the people you’re traveling with. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the screen porch, and it was nice that the radio was on when we arrived (I assume to deter bears). The driveway is a bit steep, so we were glad we took my SUV. I would’ve liked to spend more time outside on the property as it was a nice secluded and quiet space, but we were only there for a short and busy trip."

River Haven is situated on the northwestern portion of a 200 acre farm named Rivercrest that dates back to an original land grant from the King of England. The original deed granted hundreds of acres to the Moyer/Taylor family who were also distant relatives of our 12th President of the United States , Zachary Taylor. While the Taylors amassed most of their holdings through many local business dealings of the 1800’s, the fertile soil and incredible waterfront beauty of Rivercrest always interested the last heir Everet to farm and cultivate the rich soil and produce abundant crops. In the 1960’s, Mr. Taylor sold roughly an acre of riverfront property to a local businessman and soon after River Haven was born. The previous owners of River Haven upgraded and maintained the waterfront retreat and decided to share its peace, quiet, and solitude with the rest of those looking for a retreat away from the stresses of modern day life. And, to this day, these qualities make River Haven such a unique and incredible property and it invites you to feel like a part of the infamous Shenandoah River like no other can offer. The property is secluded but still very close to stores, breweries, and other local attractions. I would definitely stay here again." - "We came out for a little RNR, the cabin was amazing! We felt very secluded and kind of in our little world. There's plenty to do if you don't even want to leave the cabin! Our dog enjoyed creek days and relaxing on the screened in porch. It was just the two of us so we stayed in the addition because its absolutely beautiful (the king bed should be in there lol) my 6ft spouse squeezed into the queen bc we just couldn't pass up staying on that side! There are so many breweries close we hit about 8-9 of them. As a beer lover I figured that was the best way to spend his birthday weekend !! The drive in thru the woods and checking out the creek along the way was so peaceful! We enjoyed not having service and getting away from all the noise. Some mention-able things magpies diner for brunch amazing, billy jacks shack sticky nuggs to die for, hanks grille best meal we had ! I'd say Elkton Brewery and Three Notch'd Brewing were our fav breweries! Again the house in itself was just amazing that's how we based our whole trip. We could have just stayed there the whole time and been happy !! We hope to be back in the future! Again thanks for having us"

- "The access to the Appalachian Trail was great. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable. We brought food and supplies with us since we knew we wanted to spend most of our time at the cabin and hiking. We did not want to spend time going 10-15 mins to the store each day or to find places that were pet friendly. This was a good approach for us. We loved the stay and the disconnect. We have Verizon and did not have any cell service at the cabin but the wireless internet was spot on and we could use google voice, no problem. Highly recommend this cabin if you love nature, hiking and a comfy place to stay."

- "Everyone in my group was a big fan of the cabin. There is a terrific porch with a beautiful mountain view, a cozy sitting area with a wood stove, a functional kitchen, and perfectly comfy bedrooms. Jess was a very welcoming host who told us all we needed to know about the property. There is another cabin just a few yards away from this one, but we didn't find that it killed the secluded mountaintop vibe in any way. Don't be afraid of the long, windy, gravel road up. It's well maintained and, at least in fair weather, any car should make it up easily."

We benefit from being in a secluded location that is a quick drive away from conveniences like restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Our kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, dinnerware, and basic oil and spices. Our grill is a propane grill.

Outdoors, we have a lounger, hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor dining table, and dining chairs. There is a hummingbird feeder back there that stays busy with activity; it is one of my favorite things about hanging out on the deck.

Once you get up the driveway, do not turn right toward the lodge, but instead drive straight until your reach your designated parking area.

We are in the woods. We share those woods with critters of all kinds. Chiefly, stink bugs are rampant in the entire Shenandoah Valley right now. If you are not from the area, they are brown and flat in appearance. A professional service treats our home monthly, but we cannot prevent bugs from entering the cabin during your stay. It is a product of being in nature. We cannot spray the entirety of the forest, and we wouldn't want to - our local pollinators are important! Thank you for your understanding.

Smart tv so you can veg our when you're done hiking. Railroad noise occurs sometimes and i have included ear plugs for sensitive sleepers. Welcome to Naked Creek Cabin! This beautiful custom log cabin home is nestled among the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. Relax during your stay, or venture out to the many activities that our location puts you central to: hiking, biking, skiing, horseback riding, or the many activities offered by the Shenandoah River. Your imagination is the only limit. Some even say the elusive Shenandoah Sasquatch can be spotted around the area.

Pet friendly with NO PET FEES! We are dog people and can't imagine leaving our pups at home while we have fun. You'll even find a tin of dog treats on the kitchen counter. We do ask that you clean up after your pet, and secure them in a crate if being left alone in the home.

The cabin boasts three well-appointed bedrooms suitable for up to 8 guests. Two bedrooms have king size beds, while the third has two twin beds. A futon in the game room along with a twin size roll away bed complete the sleeping arrangements. All linens and pillows provided along with extra blankets.

The open concept living/dining/kitchen area makes sure your group is always nearby. The living area has plenty of comfortable seating along with a 55" TV with Dish Network Satellite TV and a DVD Player. The dining area has a large table so your group can eat meals together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to make sure you can cook delicious meals: pots, pans, bakeware, dinnerware, silverware, wine glasses, chef's knives, spices, cooking spray. Appliances include a stove/oven combo, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a Keurig coffee maker, along with a starter supply of K-cups and sweeteners.

The game room offers hours of fun and entertainment! Sit down on the comfortable futon and watch a movie or Dish Network on the 65" TV. Wifi Information
-Due to the mountainous location, wifi service is limited. The wifi is offered by Hughes Net satellite internet. Satellite internet offers speeds "up to" 25 mbps. However, these speeds are not guaranteed and are usually slower. The wifi is capable of website and social media viewing, but streaming services such as Netflix and Disney Plus are not possible. We offer Dish Network Satellite TV and DVD players on both TV's for your viewing pleasure. We make no guarantees on wifi speed or functionality.

Cell Service
-There is no cell service at the cabin. HOWEVER, we have installed a booster antenna on the roof of the cabin. There is an inside booster in the corner of the dining area that offers a weak signal that is only available in the kitchen/dining area. Depending on weather and signal conditions, this is enough to make and receive calls while sitting at the kitchen table. We recommend turning on wifi calling before heading to the cabin to assist with phone calls. We make no guarantee of cell service functionality.

Winter weather
-The cabin is located off a state maintained, paved road. The driveway is gravel. While every attempt will be made to plow/shovel the driveway during snowy weather, we recommend an AWD or FWD vehicle if it snows during your stay. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

The home is on a septic system. Please be mindful and do not place anything down the drains other than water, waste, and toilet paper. No feminine products or "flushable" products down the toilet, please. Damage or backups could occur.

There are two outdoor cameras on the premises for the safety and security of our guests and cabin. One overlooks the driveway on the side of the house, and a doorbell camera is located on the front porch. Please do not tamper with these devices.
General Rules:

No Smoking in the house or front porch. Please limit smoking to the fire pit area. If smoking evidence is found in the house, your entire deposit will be forfeit.

Only registered guests are allowed on the premises, and violations of this rule will result in the immediate eviction of all visitors without a refund. Therefore, it is important to include the correct number of guests in the reservation, or update accordingly if that number changes after your initial booking.

While you cannot see the neighbors from the cabin, they are there. Please observe quite hours between 10pm-6am as required by county ordinance.

Please dispose of tied trash bags in the outdoor metal container at the rear of the house. Do not leave trash unattended outdoors and please maintain a clean environment indoors. Wildlife, including bears, will be attracted to open trash and food debris.

You are in a rural, mountain, outdoor setting. Bugs are a way of life. The cabin is treated for pests regularly, but we make no guarantees that you won't see an occasional bug.

You are on vacation, or a getaway trip. We do not expect you to be the maid. We do, however, expect the home to not be left exceedingly dirty. Any extra cleaning above standard will be billed to the guest.

Please be mindful of the furnishings and amenities. Any damage will be billed to the guest.

Please follow the hot tub rules posted on the house next to the hot tub. No soaps, bubbles, oils, etc. allowed in the hot tub. Please keep the cover on the hot tub at times when not in use. Any damage or additional cleaning to the hot tub will be billed to the guest.

Please be mindful of the cancellation policy. Trip insurance is recommended.
We have monthly lawn and pest preventative maintenance to ensure you have a comfortable stay. These vendors may come on site to perform work during your stay. We will inform you ahead of time so you are aware. Their presence will be as minimally intrusive as possible.

We used the cabin as our home base for hikes in Shenandoah National Park and exploring the number of caves in the area. It was the perfect place to relax after long days."

The space
This tiny home is located right next to the original farmhouse (pictured) dating back to 1892. This home was originally owned by a direct descendant of President Zachary Taylor-12th President of the United States.

The farmland that is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains was originally deeded by the King of England in the late 1700's.

The Lady Jane "Mansion" and Lady Jane Cottage are named after Linda Dovel who purchased the property, along with her husband, Paul Dovel II in 1975. This farmland was, at one time, the most successful cattle farm on the East Coast. On a much smaller scale, the farmland is still in use for agricultural farming and cattle farming.

Please note that because we do have two dogs (dachshunds) we do not allow pets in this cottage, as we live in the main farmhouse located right beside the cottage.

This tiny home has a queen, pillowtop mattress.

The tv gets local channels only received by a digital antenna.

The total cottage space is 160 square feet. (Sleeping area and deck area included). This is a very small space, yet very comfortable! Due to the size of the space, there is a very small, on-demand water heater in the cabin that will provide 5 minutes of continuous hot water before needing to regenerate cold to hot.

This property is a working farm and will have staff coming and going at any given time.

**Please note that the enclosed deck area is a 3 season room and will not be climate controlled during the winter months!

Our home is located on a private road. It is pertinent that you follow the photo directions to arrive to our location. Do not use Apple Maps or Waze as they will take you the wrong way.

Please do not wander off of our property while staying with us. Our neighbors have a right to privacy. If we receive a valid complaint from our neighbors for road damage or trespassing, you will be charged a $100 fine per violation.

We require that guests have their ID verified with Airbnb before they arrive. We have a $40 per hour unapproved late checkout fee.

Enjoy yourselves! Our amenities are for you to sit outside and relax 24/7, but please do so quietly. Our quiet hours are between 10pm-10am to help preserve the serenity of the woods for our neighbors and your fellow guests.

Please shower before using the hot tub. No pets, spilled alcohol, excessive lotion/sunscreen, bubble bath, or foreign objects in the hot tub. Close the cover when not in use. Any hot tub non-compliance that requires a drain and fill after your departure will result in a maintenance fee of $75.00.

Outside of quiet hours, please refrain from yelling or playing loud music outdoors.

Please keep doors and unscreened windows closed as much as possible. We are located in the woods, so bugs will make their way inside if given the chance.

Please do not connect security cameras to our wifi without informing us first. If it does not passively consume data we may need to charge for data usage.

Pets: We love animals, and welcome pets on a case-by-case basis. Our pet fee is charged through the platform at the time of booking when you add pet guests to your reservation. If you need to add a pet to your reservation, please submit an alteration request or reach out and we can send you an alteration request :)

Please keep your pups on a leash outside for their safety. Please clean up any pet waste in the yard.

- "The house is a brand new beautiful build. It was clean. But it needs some basic things to make the stay better. Our family of 4 with kids ages 7 and 8 stayed here for a long weekend. I do not recommend more than 4 people. The biggest downside for us was there was NO fire pit even though it was advertised in the literal headline for the property. I called to ask for a portable one, they were unable to accommodate. We like coming home after a long day of hiking, eating smores, relaxing and talking by the fire pit but there wasn’t even a table outside to eat at. They definitely should create a path to the creek to take advantage of that feature. Overall the outdoor spaces were blah for us. The kids slept in the loft and liked it. The things in the house as far as towels and sheets are very basic and we are glad we brought our own. There are only 4 dinner plates, so bring some disposable ones because when cooking there isn’t even a serving tray. "

Is bright, colorful, and relaxing. The interior is simple and minimalist. It includes two sleeping areas and a basic kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, and kurig coffee machine. Coffee, sheets, toiletries included. Beautiful soaking tub and wand shower head is accessed through the hallway.

the entire space is yours. However, I live in the neighboring apartment. So we will share the stairwell and hallway. Don't worry, I will try to stay out of your way.

Other things to note
the apartment is basic. there is no laundry, and a basic kitchen. There is a laundromat across the street. The property is located in the middle of elkton and is convenient to all amenities like breweries, live music, restaurants, shopping, etc so get out and explore.

Noná’s Nest is a quaint one bedroom, one bathroom carriage house (located above our detached garage), tucked into the peaceful Shenandoah Valley. Centrally located 9.5 miles to the Swift Run Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park, 12 miles to Massanutten Resort, and 22 miles to Harrisonburg. The space
This tiny home is located right next to the original farmhouse (pictured) dating back to 1892. This home was originally owned by a direct descendant of President Zachary Taylor-12th President of the United States.

The farmland that is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains was originally deeded by the King of England in the late 1700's.

The Lady Jane "Mansion" and Lady Jane Cottage are named after Linda Dovel who purchased the property, along with her husband, Paul Dovel II in 1975. This farmland was, at one time, the most successful cattle farm on the East Coast. On a much smaller scale, the farmland is still in use for agricultural farming and cattle farming.

Due to the size of the space, there is a very small, on-demand water heater in the cabin that will provide 5 minutes of continuous hot water before needing to regenerate cold to hot.

This property is a working farm and will have staff coming and going at any given time.

2015 Keystone RV trailer, power from the mains, water from our well, electric AC, propane heat, stove, and hot water. Main bedroom has one queen bed. Second bedroom has four bunks. There is a slideout for living and dining areas. Complete kitchen with fridge, freezer, and microwave. Bathroom with toilet, sink, tiny bathtub and shower. Extra sleeping space is possible, but we would prefer to limit this to no more than 6 people, so that everyone can have a real bed.

Other things to note
Before deciding to use our camper instead of a real room or apartment, please be aware of the water use implications of an RV equipped with grey-water and black-water tanks instead of a permanent sewage hookup. I had a family of 6 recently who used so much water that they filled the grey water tank completely during a single overnight and reported early in the morning that the bathtub drain was backing up. I drained the tank on request, and will always be willing to do so as needed, but I suspect that these renters might have had a better experience by renting some real rooms instead of our RV trailer.

This recently renovated, spacious apartment is located in the heart of downtown Elkton in beautiful Shenandoah Valley. It offers 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room. It's steps from Elkton Brewery, a coffee shop, local stores, and both breakfast and lunch/dinner restaurants. You'll be just 10 minutes from Massanutten Resort and Shenandoah National Park, and 30 minutes or less to national forests, Luray Caverns, Harrisonburg, vineyards, breweries, and many other attractions.

Please note - there is a town ordinance that you must be at least 25 years of age to rent a short term rental, so please be prepared to submit a valid government ID showing proof of age.

Brown Bear is a 480 sq. ft. tiny cabin, but you won’t feel cramped. There are two bedrooms, a full bath, and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the peace and quiet.

There is zero cell service at the cabin, we do have wifi. Please note it is satellite wifi which means it can be spotty on cloudy days and streaming can be laggy. But hey, you come to the mountains to unplug anyway!

The cabin is up a steep, gravel road making 4-wheel drive is a must in the winter but not necessary the rest of the year.

The space
This gorgeous cabin is owned by a family who enjoys it when they come to the Shenandoah and rent it out so that others can enjoy this gem in the mountains! It is managed by M Power, LLC, the leading, premier vacation rental home and management company in the Elkton area since 2010.

** Guests please note that Thanksgiving, Christmastime through New Year's Day, and JMU Graduation require a 4-night minimum stay while other holidays require a 3-night minimum stay. **

Skyline Cabin is located ten minutes from Elkton and the Swift Run Gap entrance of Skyline Drive, which was mentioned on September 23, 2021, Washington Post article about recommended trail entrances to Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is accessible by a gravel road in the Sun Valley district. This winding mountain road has three bridges that cross the neighborhood mountain creeks. The cabin is located 2.5 hours from Washington DC and is the perfect Shenandoah getaway.

The cabin boasts beautiful wood flooring, an interior balcony with cathedral ceiling, a wrap-around porch, a hot tub, and outdoor seating areas to watch the sunrise and sunset over the mountains. This home is perfect for nature lovers looking to enjoy everything that the Shenandoah has to offer, including hiking, fishing, kayaking, wineries, breweries, golf, skiing, cycling, mountain biking, zip-lining, river rafting, Grand Caverns, Luray Caverns, Civil War Trails, the George Washington National Forest, and more.

The paintings featured in the home are custom made by an abstract Washington DC-based artist and are available for purchase.

Guests may hike the property but do so at their own risk due to the inherent conditions of forest walks. Please be aware of the natural environment of the cabin. There are also neighborhood dogs, so please use caution when walking around the area.

Front Yard:
We ask that guests do not utilize the front yard as we are making a conscience effort to reforest the area and have planted almost two dozen Maple tree saplings. Thank you for your understanding!

Game closet:
There is a closet full of board games, puzzles, and books. There is also a DVD player and DVD library for use. Treasure quiet mornings, afternoons and evenings sitting on a rocker or the front porch swing.

Hot Tub:
Soak in the five-person hot tub after a day of hiking and sit by the mountain to take in the breathtaking view.

Game Room:
The homeowners recently opened the large garage to guests for extra entertainment during their stay. Within the game garage, guests will find a window AC unit, pool table, ping-pong table, basketball game, and more! Recently added is a keyboard and stand. Guests are asked to be extra careful around the insulation as the game garage is still being finished. Any damage to the insulation or accessories of the game garage will be payable by the guest.
There is a key and rule sheet to the game garage inside the cabin on a hook next to the side door that leads to the deck with the hot tub. Guests are asked to return the key to the hook after each use

Pet Information:
1 DOG ONLY. The dog must have ALL current vaccinations. Guest must pay the pet fee, must clean up all pet waste from yard, must adhere to local leash laws, and must keep dog in a locked crate if the dog is to be in the property alone. In the rare instance that damage is done to the property by the dog then the guest agrees to pay for the damages or repair.

Skyline Cabin is located on a beautiful mountain that is 10 minutes from Elkton, where you will find a Food Lion, Walgreens, Elkton Brewery, Blue Elk Coffee shop, among others. You will have a beautiful experience in this mountain setting, enjoying the gorgeous trees and natural surroundings. Please be aware of the natural conditions of a mountain setting. The gravel road is very well maintained, and while it is normally easy to access the cabin, there are sometimes challenges that are inherent to a mountain setting. These include downed trees that may block the road, water that may overflow over the three bridges that cross the creek, ice, and snow on the road, among others. We have a team that is on call and available to handle any issues that may arise, but please be advised that we are better able to handle challenges if you check in before 8pm for us to have time to handle issues during our working hours. If you check in after 8pm, we will do our best to fix any problems in a timely manner, but this will make it more difficult to get our team to help solve the issue. Thank you in advance for your patience and please enjoy your experience in this beautiful corner of the natural world.

LEGAL MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: 10 PEOPLE

Ground Level: There are three entrances that open into the spacious, open-floor plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. The dining room boasts a large gas fireplace, (Fireplace use 31 October through 31 March, ONLY). All rooms feature ceiling fans. There is a mud room and laundry area featuring a washing machine and dryer. The furnished deck off the dining area is where the hot tub and grill are located.

The queen bedroom (bedroom #1) with an upholstered queen bed is to the left of the main level bathroom with a chest of drawers. Bedroom #2 is to the right of the bathroom, has a queen bed, an armchair, and shelving for clothes. There is a full bathroom with a dual-headed shower and dual vanities, between these rooms. Upstairs are the third and fourth bedrooms - a ling suite room at the far end of the hall is a king suite with an oversized armchair and a desk and chair. The 4th room has four twin beds and the best view of the mountains! In between these bedrooms is the second bathroom with a bathtub and dual vanities.

Amazing mountain cabin on 180 secluded acres bordering Shenandoah National Park. This cabin is perfect for families or a couples retreat, very clean and comfortable, complete with a fully stocked kitchen, a large flat screen tv with leather sofa and chairs, jacuzzi bathtub, and three private bedrooms. Plenty of space to lounge on the porch and take in panoramic views or cozy up to the wood-burning fireplace in the cooler months. Enjoy gathering at the outdoor fire pit and two picnic shelters. Welcome to a relaxing 2 bedroom home with beautiful mountain views. Located in a quiet neighborhood, 10 minutes from the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Park, and 15 minutes from Massanutten 4 Season Resort. We are 5 minutes from town of Elkton with a great craft brewery, wine shop/tasting room, a handful of small restaurants, local park with tennis and volleyball courts, and Shenandoah River public boat landing. Harrisonburg/JMU is 30 min, Charlottesville/UVA is 1 hour.

The space
Our one level ranch was completely renovated in 2016. There are 2 King Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master King has an adjoining bathroom. There is a large living room, kitchen, laundry room and sunroom. Relax on one of the comfortable couches to watch TV or play one of the board games available in the sunroom. Enjoy beautiful mountain views from many of the rooms. One of our favorite things to do is relax in the hammock outside and read a book overlooking the mountains. There is also outside furniture positioned in the back yard overlooking the mountains.

Although regular pest control measures are taken, the property's location near the national park and in the woods makes it more likely for insects to find their way inside. The most common insects that may be encountered are flies, bugs, snakes. It is important to note that their presence is merely an annoyance rather than a threat.

We don’t own the pond – our property line ends at the tree line and fence. We kindly ask that you respect the boundaries and be mindful of our neighbors’ property. Being so near to the swamp you can find ants outside.

The property is in a residential area, driveway is shared with other neighbors.

Endless hiking in the Shenandoah National Park (main entrance is 20 mins away). The park also boast some of the most beautiful scenery in the are as you drive along "Skyline Drive" (the main roadway in the park.
There are several Canverns in the area - The Grand Caverns are 10 mins away while Luray Caverans are @45 mins away. There are also Shenandoah and Endless Caverns with 45 mins.
Skiing, Zip Line, Go-Carts, Tubing and many other activities at the resort as well

The Shenandoah River is 5 mins away and the Massanutten Resort is 15 mins away with its several pools, SPA, Saunas, steam rooms and full indoor/outdoor waterpark.

An escape from city life and the cares of the world seem far behind.

Our picturesque trails pass through the high country, scenic mountain meadows and wooded areas of the famous Blue Ridge. The Ranch borders The Shenandoah National Park on 3 sides. You can take a 10 min. hike from the ranch and be within the boundaries of the remote regions of the National Park but it is a 30 min drive to the actual Park Entrance for vehicles.

We offer 2 cabins side by side of each other that can be rented together for larger groups. You can see both cabins by opening our Airbnb profile and clicking on the photo on the listing page. (The Skyline and The Eagle)

Authentic, rustic and primitive log cabins several decades old are very environmentally friendly. They are not insulated and do not use products like concrete or mortar. The experience of staying in a log cabin is unique and individual depending on the season and the month. The main heat source for a log cabin is a fireplace or wood stove which makes for some very cozy cold nights. We do also supply space heaters for colder months as an additional heat source.

Mountaintop Ranch is a rare and unique piece of property because it hosts a world class horse training facility with the most scenic views on the East Coast. Better than or on par with the Shenandoah National Park which shares its boundaries. We feel blessed to be able to share the Ranch with you. All are welcome here!

The space
This is a newly built "cabin" with everything you need to be comfortable. The cabin is stocked with linens, towels, and basic cookware, pots, and pans. There is a bedroom on the first floor with a king-sized bed and a smaller bedroom up a large flight of stairs with a queen-sized bed (and a lower slanted ceiling). For kids, we have books, toys, a high chair, booster chair, safety gates, and a small playset outside. The cabin has 1 bathroom with a shower (no bathtub). There is also an outdoor shower (with hot water!) and a hot tub. The hot tub is filled with unfiltered well water, so you may find some sediment when relaxing in the hot tub. Since the cabin is small, dining space can be found inside the cabin on the large island, or outside at a patio table. There is wifi for enjoying phone and tv use, and the property is within distance of cell towers, so there is great reception as well. Grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants are nearby, the Shenandoah National Park entrance is 15 minutes away, Massanutten resort is 10 minutes away, and JMU and downtown Harrisonburg are within 20-25 minutes. The property sits on 40 acres, so there is plenty of space for privacy and relaxation. We have a firm rule of NO parties or events, and if you have over 4 people you will need permission for extra guests to stay. We also have a firm NO animals policy due to this being a personal residence where both my husband and daughter have severe allergies.

Public River access, Massanutten, and the National Park are all an easy 3 to 10-minute drive! JMU, Luray Caverns, wineries, Merck, Coors, and more are just 15 - 25 minutes away. Step onto the welcoming, wide, and deep front porch and into an ample center hall foyer. Our 5 bedroom unit comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests in five bedrooms (no bunk beds, 6 total beds). The 1st floor bedroom and bathroom can be private en-suite. The 2nd floor rear has a 2 bedroom room en-suite with a private hallway. The remaining two bedrooms on the upper landing can share the full hall bath in the center hallway on the 2nd floor.

To the right of the foyer, discover the seamless flow of the open-concept living area, connecting the great room and a fully stocked kitchen, divided only by a charming white brick chimney. Prepare culinary delights with stainless steel appliances, elegant gold accents, a large island, and a waterfall leathered granite countertop. Enjoy your creations indoors at the counter heigh island with seating for 6, or step onto the adjacent "fenced-in" pet-friendly deck with seating for 14, offering breathtaking mountain sunrise and sunset views. Back in side, from the great room we have a room for the puzzle lovers, a full bathtub/shower bathroom and finally, a king bedroom face west and north.

You'll find a king bedroom. Upstairs on the lower landing is a two-bedroom en-suite featuring one queen bed with western mountain views and one king bed facing north, along with a hall bath with a roomy shower.

Adventure awaits with four inner tubes provided for a fun slide down the public access boat ramp into the winding South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Unwind as you watch the sunset behind the majestic Massanutten Mountain range from our Hot Tub Pavilion and Firepit, located in our fenced-in backyard.

We've taken care of the details for a stress-free stay, providing a dedicated coffee and tea bar, a a coffee/tea station, quality soaps, shampoo, paper products, linens, and towels. Enjoy the convenience of a laundry rooms with free in-unit machines. For your furry family members, you'll find convenient built-in dog crates.

This stunning 5+ acre, creekside cabin is nestled between two sides of National Parkland, opening to a breathtaking view of a stone bluff and the rambling Hawksbill Creek. Enjoy the view from the hot-tub!
A central location: 15 min drive to the SNP Swift Gap Run entrance, 15 min to Massanutten 4 season resort, 30 min to historic Harrisonburg. The quaint town of Elkton has excellent cafes and adorable antique shops, and the area is rife with wineries and breweries, often with live music!

The space
This secluded 5+acre cabin is the perfect getaway! There is nothing else like it in the area. Enjoy the stunning deck views, or take a swim in our private, natural swimming hole on Hawksbill Creek just steps away from the cabin. Location, location, location! Whether you want hiking in the SNP, we are 15 minutes from the Swift Gap Run entrance. If skiing and outdoor sports are also on your list, we are less than 15 minutes from Massanutten year-round resort. Massanutten offers year-round activities for everyone: Skiing, golfing, indoor/outdoor water slides, zip lines, mountain biking, and much more! History buff? Within 30 minutes you can tour historic Harrisonburg, and a little further down the road is Charlottesville, home to UVA and Thomas Jefferson's home. We also sit just minutes from the Shenandoah River where you can beat the heat in a tube or kayak floating down the river. Most importantly, the cabin is a great place to unplug, relax, bbq, bonfire, or watch a movie on the big wall in the loft. There is no place like this in the area!

Other things to note

We recently invested in a new screened in back deck addition to extend the living space allowing for priceless family memories. Please note this property sits directly on Hawksbill Creek. There is a natural swimming hole, and if the water levels are high you can float from one edge of the property to the next. This comes with an understanding that we are not responsible for the creek, and we do not recommend anyone swimming alone, or children left unattended by the waterside. Please, never dive into the creek.

As this is a mountain home, we like to keep the grass short on the property. We have a lawn service that visits the cottage every Thursday to mow and trim the grass. This usually takes about 20 minutes on Thursday afternoons. We don't have an exact time as the weather and other lawns may affect the arrival time.

We also ask that there be absolutely no smoking of any kind (cigarettes, vaping etc) inside the cottage or the screened in deck area. Any violation of this will result in very poor guest ratings and referral to Airbnb, to include a penalty request.

Hey there! Welcome to Naked Creek Cabin, your cozy mountain getaway! Nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, our cabin is the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Whether you're into hiking, biking, skiing, horseback riding, or just chilling by the Shenandoah River, you'll find plenty to do. Keep an eye out for the legendary Shenandoah Sasquatch – you never know!

Bring your furry friend along – we're dog people and there are no pet fees! We'll even leave some treats for your pup. Just remember to clean up after them and crate them if you leave them alone at the cabin. (Sorry, dog friends only – no cats or other critters.)

We can comfortably sleep up to eight guests in three bedrooms: two with king beds, one with two twins, plus a futon and a rollaway. We've got all the linens and extra blankets you'll need.

Our open concept living/dining/kitchen area is the heart of the cabin. The living room is super comfy with a 55" Roku Smart TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can whip up delicious meals – we've even got a Keurig for your morning coffee!

The game room is where the fun happens! We've got a 65" Roku Smart TV, foosball, Pac Man, board games, and even a cozy reading nook with a giant beanbag chair.

Outside, you can soak in the hot tub under the stars, gather around the fire pit (wood provided!), enjoy the gorgeous views from the porch, and watch for the deer that visit almost every day in the lower meadow. There's also a propane grill for your BBQ feasts.

Just a heads-up: the cabin is kid-friendly, but not fully child-proofed.

We have a Level 2, 24-amp EV charger for your convenience.

We'll get you started with some basic supplies: shampoo/body wash, dish soap/sponge, hand soap, laundry/dishwasher pods, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags.

A few important things to know:

Wi-Fi: We have Starlink high-speed satellite internet, perfect for streaming and video calls. (Just a heads up, we can't guarantee perfect speed or uptime.)

Cell Service: There's no cell service at the cabin, so be sure to turn on Wi-Fi calling before you arrive.

Winter: If it snows, you'll probably want an AWD or 4WD vehicle. (We can't offer refunds due to weather.) The cabin is located off a paved, state-maintained road. Our driveway is gravel.

Septic System: Please only flush water, waste, and toilet paper. No feminine products or "flushable" items, please!

Security Cameras: We have two outdoor cameras for everyone's safety – one by the driveway and a doorbell camera on the porch. Please do not tamper with them.

You have access to the entire cabin and the nearly 4.5 acres it sits on!

You are in a rural, mountain, outdoor setting. Bugs are a way of life. The cabin is treated for pests regularly, but we make no guarantees that you won't see an occasional bug.

You are on vacation, or a getaway trip. We do not expect you to be the maid. We do, however, expect the home to not be left exceedingly dirty. Any extra cleaning above standard will be billed to the guest.

Please be mindful of the furnishings and amenities. Any damage will be billed to the guest.

Please follow the hot tub rules posted on the house next to the hot tub. No soaps, bubbles, oils, etc. allowed in the hot tub. Please keep the cover on the hot tub when not in use. Any damage or additional cleaning to the hot tub will be billed to the guest.

Please be mindful of the cancellation policy. Trip insurance is recommended.

We have monthly lawn and pest preventative maintenance to ensure you have a comfortable stay. These vendors may come on site to perform work during your stay. We will inform you ahead of time, so you are aware. Their presence will be as minimally intrusive as possible.

Bedrooms
Swift Haven has four bedrooms that sleep up to 10 guests. The master bedroom features a DreamCloud king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom, creating a private sanctuary for rest and relaxation. Two of the bedrooms are furnished with DreamCloud queen-sized beds, and the last two beds in the basement are equipped with full-sized beds, perfect for both kids and adults. Our four comfortable bedrooms are designed to accommodate up to 10 guests. Please note that the last two beds are located in a cozy, finished area of our basement, accessed through finished section. The basement bedroom has a mini split installed to allow guests to control temperature in the room. This unique setup is part of Swift Haven, offering additional privacy. We provide quality linens and ample storage space in all bedrooms for a comfortable stay.

Bathrooms
Our home features two full bathrooms on the main level, stocked with essential toiletries and fresh towels. The master ensuite bathroom adds an extra layer of privacy and convenience. The second bathroom includes a stand-up shower and a large soaking tub, perfect for a relaxing bath after a long day of hiking.

Outdoor Space
Set on a private 3-acre lot, Swift Haven offers generous outdoor space with a Weber gas grill on the expansive deck, perfect for BBQs. The Solo Stove fire pit, surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs, is an idyllic spot for roasting marshmallows or stargazing.

Swift Haven is ideally located just a 5-minute drive from the Swift Run entrance to Shenandoah National Park, making it easy for guests to hike, bike, and enjoy breathtaking views. The property is also conveniently located just 15 minutes away from the Massanutten Resort, offering year-round outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and golfing, or visiting their spa.

Our location in the woods means close encounters with nature, including stink bugs and fake ladybugs, especially during certain times of the year. Despite regular professional pest control treatments, it's impossible to completely prevent these critters from entering the cabin due to our close proximity to their natural habitat. We prioritize environmental responsibility and cannot treat the entire forest area. We appreciate your understanding of these aspects of woodland living.
