The Highroads is a nearly 10,000 square foot duplicate of the Wythe House in Williamsburg and is in the country. 12' ceilings downstairs and 10' ceilings upstairs. Perfect for corporate look retreats, family get-togethers, baby/wedding showers, Thanksgiving/Christmas family gatherings. This home is near Campbell Lake. The Highroads is decorated with antique and reproduction furniture with historical, family wall-hangings. Three Pencil Poster, two Sleigh beds, and two twin beds for children. Walk to the Lake and CRE Run to see Arabian horses. 5 bedrooms (4 upstairs) including a downstairs Master and an upstairs Master. 4 full baths including Master with 8 jetted tub. Two half baths. Large brick terrace off Family Room has seating for 3 with 2 side tables and one large table; fire pit with cedar logs and the wonderful scent that comes with burning cedar. NEW refrigerator and washer/dryer. Located in the country, so you’ll hear and see owls, mourning doves, deer, squirrels, song birds, hawks, eagles, fox, coyotes, etc. Neighbors on the north side of Scotchtown Road have seen black bears and bobcats. Short Pump Town Center is 30 minutes away. Kings Dominion is 13 minutes away. Randolph-Macon College and the Town of Ashland is 15 minutes away. Downtown Richmond is 37 minutes away. The property was a civil war camp ground and the North Anna Battlefield Park is just 5 mins away with hiking trails and history! Especially since we were there for the 4th of July. Beautiful winery right on property. Very quiet and off the beating path of Doswell. We went to Kings Dominion 5 times this week. Only a 10 minute drive. Wasn’t good internet service so the kids had to adjust but they just bonded and found activities to do besides being glued to the cell phones. Beautiful, clean house."

This cozy 2 bedroom upstairs unit offers easy access to the charming town of Ashland. Walk to restaurants, bars, shopping, library, parks, Randolph Macon and more. Kings Dominion and the Va State Fairgrounds are just a few miles north. Richmond, Carytown, VCU and Scotts Addition are within 25 minutes. One hour east of Charlottesville, 1 hour west of Williamsburg, and 2 hours to Va Beach. Easily hop on the train that stops in Ashland for a day trip to DC.
Lounge on the comfy sofa and stream your favorite shows. Kitchen is well outfitted should you want to stay in and cook. There are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, it's own TV and alarm clock/noise machine. The office is equipped with wifi and printer for easy remote working. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the back yard. The backyard is a shared space. You are welcome to enjoy the picnic table and relax in the adirondack chairs.
This home is a duplex, and you will have the upstairs to yourself. This duplex is located on the main road. There is potential for noise from the street and other tenants. Private entrance at rear of home. There is parking for two cars in the paved driveway.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Surrounded by 4 acres of woods and horse property, this location is very peaceful. 10 minutes away from Downtown Ashland, 15 minutes from Kings Dominon, about 30 minutes from most Richmond locations and hospitals, and 40 minutes from Fredericksburg.
The space
This large, spacious master bedroom has a large desk perfect for a student or travel for work. A whole wall of custom built-ins leaves plenty of space. Two windows seats give beautiful views to the woods, and they double as storage. Three total closets in the space. The private master bathroom was made for wheelchair accessibility. Large seemless shower door, seating inside, and two shower heads, one of which is adjustable in height and handheld. The sink is also lowered, making it more accessible.
A queen sized air mattress is available if requested before arrival.
During your stay
Guest can always contact either myself or David 24/7 via the app. one of us is always awake due to work schedules and typically can respond within minutes. Guest are welcome to cuddle, pet, or play with our dog Kenzie if they wish.

The kitchen is fit for a professional chef or just a lazy Sunday breakfast. The house is 6000+ sq ft and offers multiple indoor and outdoor places to sit, relax, and enjoy vistas of rolling vineyards and fields. Covered front and back porches to enjoy your morning coffee or your evening cocktail.
The pool is completely private and shielded by shrubs from the winery.
The bedrooms are large and all have double closets.
The master suite is private and has a large walk in closet and bathroom with glass shower and jacuzzi tub.
Guest access
You will have private parking. When the winery is open (please see the website for times), you will enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases, and no charge for music or other events that may be going on during your stay.
For your protection and security, there are HD cameras on the exterior of the house. There are no cameras in guest areas.
The host does not stay at the property while you are there. You will enjoy complete privacy during your stay.
