You'll have access to the entire property which includes a 2,000 sq. ft. 3bd 2.5 bath log cabin home, a detached 800 sq. ft. garage turned game room, a new 6-person hot tub and dock down by the lake. Home has internet and 4 Smart TVs. Master bedroom & bath is located upstairs and 2 bedrooms 1bath are located downstairs. Enjoy the covered back deck with outdoor seating that overlooks the lake. Perfect for watching the Bald Eagles soar by. Standing AC units and fans are provided for inside the home during warmer months.

- "The bed felt like sleeping in a cloud. The whole place felt new and very well done and thought through. We took the kayak and the rowboat out on the lake. We were a little surprised to find that the unit was below a residence, but there may as well have been no one above us. The bathroom was so luxurious feeling. The property owner was very accommodating and quick to communicate. We arrived to find a bottle of wine in the fridge to congratulate us on our new baby who we brought with us. We had a wonderful weekend and hope it will be the first of many at this beautiful property. The only downside was the occasional passing train but that doesn’t have much to do with the property itself and it was very muffled and faint in the bedroom with the door shut. There were also some convenient earplugs in the bathroom along with many amenities I didn’t even think of needing. "

I reached out about the numbers of bedrooms ( there are 5 beds but one in in the family room so without privacy) and she responded right away. Nice home, listed incorrectly with quite a few bugs. Also was surprised with all of the religious artwork on the walls."

There are many things to see in Olympia such as the Tumwater Falls, the capitol of the state tour, 60 miles to Seattle, 2 hours to Mount Rainier or Mount St. Helens, 2 1/2 hours to the Cascade Mountains. A treat is to go to Bremerton in your car and take the ferry to Seattle in the evening to see the sunset and then drive home or drive along the coast line to the ocean.

The Airbnb algorithm has decided to put this house in the lake category when there is no lake within 10 minutes walking distance! They’ve made it very difficult to remove this from the listing. I am sorry that is not us, that is them!

Not very well suited for children, but super pet friendly.

Our listing is open to guests with good reviews from other hosts to instant book. We set a base low nightly price, and the airbnb algorithm (A.i. is our friend! :/) adjusts for current bookings in our area. No cleaning fee, and no charge for pets. No hidden fees on our end!

High speed internet for teleworking! We cut the cable, but have a brand new 55" LG smart tv, and a blu-ray/dvd player. We also have a fairly large selection of movies on DVD, and books to choose from.

There are three display cases filled with depression era uranium glass mostly. Our collection includes uranium, vaseline, custard and slag glass. There are pieces containing uranium, manganese, and selenium. We have done a LOT of research and all of these items are safe not only to collect and display, but also to use. Just wanted everyone to know about this in advance in case this was a concern of someone’s.
There are black lights in the two display cases in the dining room which power on by turning on the power strip to the side of each case :)

There is not available laundry on site, but there is a conveniently located laundromat in town.

The Queen mattress is a Tempur-pedic, as are its pillows. All in zippered cases.
The full bed is a comfy traditional style matresses w memory foam pillows.

There is a high quality, portable air conditioning unit in the living area during the summer. We have also added a large high quality BlueAir air purifier in the living area as well as a power strip with wireless charging, and several usb ports.

While home is nice, cozy, and 100% servicable there is some finish work/remodeling still to do. Old houses are never finished it seems!

We wanted to make the space available to pet owners on vacation that may have trouble finding a place.

The home is located on Old Highway 99. There is road noise. While our home is very nice, it is a 100 year old farm house! It creaks, it squeaks, one of the doors just doesnt close right.

The property is quiet. We do have a toddler that occasionally makes noise upstairs. We are very good at keeping to the quiet hours though.

Every other day (even days) access to Laundry facilities unless requested.

It sometimes gets smoggy from summer wildfires. We provide an air purifier for such times.

The guests will have the whole suite with a private access and plenty of parking. Shared laundry.

Other things to note
Central Heating is controlled by us upstairs. We leave it at a stable 70 degrees but it is usually cooler in the Suite. There are heating units installed in the wall in the tub/toilet and kitchen area, feel free to control them separately (they have dials on them.) There is also a portable heater that can be plugged in and directed wherever needed. Lastly there is a propane fireplace that can be turned on/off and auto to set a desired temperature.

Cooling is usually not needed for most of the year. There is a month in the summer where it might be needed (July/August). The unit never exceeds 80 degrees and we would be happy to adjust the cooling if needed/wanted. There is also a portable fan in the unit.

Newly renovated and cozy cabin on Offut Lake. A fifteen-minute drive south of Olympia, the lake offers year-round fishing for trout, bass, and perch. This charming little cottage, originally made from a railroad caboose, offers a sneak peek of Offut Lake and is just a short walk to the docks and Lady of the Lake Restaurant. Don’t forget to bring your fishing pole!

It is located just down the road from Wolf Haven, where you might even hear the wolves howling in the distance.

The space
Beautiful skylight windows, gorgeous lake views, it is high bank property with direct access to the lake and personal dock. Access to the cottage is across the lawn and property is down hill from the parking area. The cottage is built into the hillside so both levels are accessible by ground level. The 'main entrance' is into the main bedroom loft level which features a kingsized bed connected by a spiral staircase. A large back porch gives guests stunning views of the lake including a section which is protected wildlife as there are several families of nesting bald eagles living there.

Full cottage, kitchen stovetop, microwave, small convection oven able to handle baking, flat-screen TV with Apple TV and DVD player and access to Netflix, board games, books to read including a tiny lending library out in front of the main house. This cottage is below us on the property and guests will have to walk up and down to the house across the lawn on a relatively steep hill. This cottage is not ADA accessible. There is a spiral staircase connecting the floors. The cottage is one mile from the Amtrak station, the train tracks run over the lake, so there is train noise. Additionally we’re located near Joint base Louis McChord (JBLM) so live fire and helicopters can be heard on occasion. We do not allow parties on our property. It is intended for you, our guests. Please check with us if others plan to visit you, ahead of time. as parking is limited.

While we conduct regular pest control, we prioritize protecting the lake’s natural habitat by minimizing chemical use. Due to the property’s proximity to the water, some presence of spiders and insects is normal and expected.

Please also note that a train track crosses the lake, and you may occasionally hear the train horn, including at night. Most guests find it adds to the retreat’s charm, though we provide complimentary earplugs for those sensitive to sound.

Additionally, this property is not a flat site; there are steps to the house and a staircase to the dock, so it may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges.

The space
Beautifully "refreshed", 1 bedroom, 3/4 bath home at the water's edge! This home also has an outdoor shower.

**At low tide the bay is a birdwatcher's paradise and water toy use may be limited to higher tide waters!**

**There are some "barn" kitties that roam the property. They will lead you to believe they are starving, but I promise they are not! If they pester you, please spray them with a spray bottle and they'll run for cover elsewhere! Of course I would prefer they not be in the AirBnb, but if you really need a snuggle, I totally understand!

**There are kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe, pedal boat (and life jackets) on site for guest use. Guests will need to sign an acknowledgement of low tide and a waiver of liability. **At low tide the bay is a birdwatcher's paradise and water toy use may be limited to higher tide waters!**

**We provide firewood for your private firepit.

**While we love kiddos, this is property is not a good fit for them, due to the proximity to the waterfront. All guests need to be 18+.

**There are other AirBnb guests in additional homes/RVs but there is plenty of privacy!


The kitchen has all the cooking essentials as well as vinegar, oil and some spices, bar tools, glassware and electric kettle. We also provide coffee, tea, chai, cream and sugar.

There may be other guests on the property but the home has a wonderful sense of privacy. You may see another guest or neighbor upon arrival, or if you are using the boat launch to engage in water activities.

TV is connected to WiFi and has capability to stream all the apps via Roku.

Some items are only available seasonally. Generally, we put away the hammocks, SUPs, ping pong table, yard games and outdoor patio furniture for the winter.

Other things to note
You will be provided with a code for the keyless entry pad. I am usually in the area if you have any questions or other needs! If you need ANYTHING, I will do my best to provide it... from lightbulbs to blenders, to crockpots or extra blankets/pillows, please just ask! If you are staying more than 2 weeks, we provide enough coffee/ tea/chai to get you going, but then you are on your own :-) If you are staying more than 2 weeks light housekeeping will be provided. If you would like additional sheet and towel service, it is available for an additional fee.

- The train tracks run through the middle of the lake, multiple trains come by during the day and night so there is train noise.

- We are also located near JBLM so live fire can be heard on rare occasions.
