You'll find the second bedroom, with beds for 4, on the 3rd floor. This room is similar to a loft, with no door. It features a queen sized bed and 2 twins.

The sofa has queen sized inflatable pull out bed.

The second full bathroom is on the main floor.

This lake house is located in a rural area and a vehicle will be necessary to access any local amenities.
There is designated parking reserved for our guests. It is conveniently located right out front. There will never be any parking issues here:)

Fishing is open year-round and Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Yellow Perch can all be found in Tanwax Lake. If you get lucky, grill up some freshly caught fish on the gas BBQ grill (we provide the propane). This can be found on the large covered deck that you have exclusive use of during your stay. A cozy bistro table is available for a quiet romantic evening for couples, or a family with kiddos may find the larger picnic table more their style:)

Need to get out of the sun but not ready for relaxing inside the air-conditioned house? We have a large sun umbrella (and multiple deck chairs) that will provide a welcome shade for reading, relaxing, and visiting with your loved ones.

Lakeside Living Suite comfortably fits couples, families, and getaways with a small group of friends. If you are looking to accommodate a slightly larger group, please contact us to see if we can provide a comfortable sleeping arrangement.

This home will provide you the ultimate lakefront experience. Stay and play! Our fully appointed home has something for everyone. You can swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, lounge in the sun/ or shade, or just sit and sip while you take in the sights and sounds.
Our home is also a perfect jumping off spot to explore Mt. Rainier, NW Trek Wildlife Park, Mt. Rainier Rail Road, and So much more.
Our amenities include a recently upgraded kitchen with a full sized stainless refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, full sized under the counter ice machine, new dish set, pots and pans, etc. The home features a washer/dryer, HVAC/AC, gas fp, WIFI, and a large screen TV w/ Dish top 250 channels, included 100's of movie and music choices. The home has a waterfront deck with a BBQ and outdoor seating. The property sports an oversized large dock with seating and lounging options. We offer Kayaks, and 2 paddle boards & peddle boat, row boat, and floaties for our guests amusement. We have a large selection of personal flotation devices provided that need to be worn or on the water vessels provided per Washington State boaters regulations.
The sleeping arrangements are a one bedroom with a curtain room-divider separating the room into two. One side has a queen sized bed and the other has a full sized. There is a couch in the living room that folds out into a queen sized bed.
The bathroom is appointed with a 30x30 shower with toiletries. There is also a stack-able full sized washer and dryer for keeping up on the wet clothes.
If you are bored here you are trying to be. Ask the hosts to tell you about some of their favorite things to do or see in the area. The list is long and full of life adventures.
If your looking for a quiet stay doing nothing we can provide that too. Cuddle up on the couch and read a book, knit, play games. The indoors can be cozy, romantic or whatever you want it to be.

- "Even though we live only an hour away from the “home on the lake,” our five days there felt a world away. Because we know all the major attractions, we spent our time exploring the little towns in the area, fishing and relaxing with a book or just enjoying the water and the sun. Gail and Dave are excellent VRBO hosts, there when you need something but otherwise very skilled at protecting your privacy. The evening excursion on Ohop Lake aboard their pontoon boat provided good company and interesting information about the lake and its formation.The house was perfect for us. It was clean, nicely appointed and had everything we needed, even an additional stand-alone ice maker! The various heating and cooling options kept us comfortable day and night. Although we chose not to participate, lots of water “toys” were readily available. Sitting on the deck or dock were favorite pastimes as we observed the ducks, geese, eagles, kingfishers and various other birds, watched the mist rising off the lake in the early morning or just enjoyed the clear, clean air at the lake. We are thrilled to have found this little spot and have put it on our list of favorite places in the area."

It may look like a regular mobile home, but when you step inside, it feels more like a tiny cabin. Hunting and wildlife decorations are throughout the whole building.
The log furniture makes a perfect rustic getaway, and it helps one to disconnect. Its natural rugged look represents another time long ago when things were simpler...
It is only about 850 square feet, but it can easily accommodate up to 8 guests if you don't mind being close to each other.
Bedroom number one features a queen size bed, and an additional mattress can be pulled out from under the bed if needed.
Bedroom number 2 is very tiny and features a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and a twin bed next to it. An additional twin-size bed and a long couch are added to the living room for extra guests. For your entertainment a Smart 55" TV with Netflix was recently added to the living room as well. The Wifi is not very fast, but we do have one.

The kitchen does NOT have a cooking stove, but we do provide 2 electric pans where you can cook just about anything. A slow cooker and an instant pot are provided as well. We do have a good size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, and a kettle for your coffee or tea. (provided).
You will also find cups, glasses, silverware, dishes, salad bowls, a cutting board, a knife, kitchen utensils, and a few other little things you may need for cooking like salt, pepper, & oil. The dining table sits 6 people and one more extra chair is added to the side.

The kitchen has a door that leads to the back of the mobile home where you will find a secluded firepit area with a BBQ , table, and chairs, surrounded by tiki torches, lights, and trees. Enjoy your dinner or a glass of wine while listening to the sound of coyotes who are often howling in the distance as soon as it gets dark.

Our doors are open day and night, so same-day arrival is not a problem at all.

The space
Built in 1901, this remodeled cabin on 10 acres was originally a homestead for the booming logging of its era. It is now our growing farm of fruit trees and Scottish Highlander cattle and soon to be a wedding venue.

Surrounded by trees and not another home in sight, this is a very secluded property with plenty of privacy.

We have updated modern amenities, A/C system, a fully prepped kitchen, WiFi, a 100 year old cast iron clawfoot tub with shower & bathroom amenities included.

The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the living room has a pull out couch which sleeps 2.

Board games, flat-screen smart TV, an outdoor fire pit and yard games. The fire pit can sometimes be low on wood so we suggest grabbing a few bundles from the local store in Elbe.

Located only 20 minutes from Mt. Ranier National Park, there are plenty of hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sightseeing and exploring all around.

Whittaker Mountaineering is also just up the road and has ski and snowshoe rentals!

Less then a mile away, Alder lake has public access to swimming, fishing and a boat launch!

Our property has plenty of room if towing a boat or have an additional vehicle.

We also have additional options for RV hookups. Contact us for more info if interested in bringing a camper.

Currently we have our property caretaker part-time living on the lower section of our 10 acres who is rarely there but to feed the cows and some night stays. We very much respect your privacy so this is kept to a minimum.

**The Space**

The Edge of Paradise is a 2020, 27 foot, Salem Cruise Lite Travel Trailer parked in an RV space on our property. It offers 2 private bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven and Keurig. There is also a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace as well as a separate dining space. The small outdoor dining/sitting space has a large picnic table, firepit, gas barbeque and a stunning view of Mount Rainier on a clear day.

The RV is situated between a neighboring property as well as our carport. There are wooden privacy screens on both sides to maintain privacy.

Your master suite is a private space that includes a TV and a comfy short queen bed suitable for 2 people. The bunk room has 3 small bunk beds suitable for children and/or small adults as well as a fold out couch which makes into a small bed.

The bathroom is private and features a sink, toilet, shower and a small bathtub.

Are you wanting a cozy night in while glamping? Your living room has a fold out couch with a large 50" 4K TV, Blu Ray DVD player and a wide variety of DVD's or streaming services to choose from.

The dining space can comfortably hold 5 people at one time and offers a great board game table including a selection of board games to try!

Perfect for a stay while you explore the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier, or just want a family and pet friendly get away.

- "I had always wanted to try out an RV, so this was the perfect opportunity as we were looking for somewhere to stay that was near Mount Rainier National Park (about 30 mins drive from entrance to Park). The van was spotless. There were very clear instructions as to how to operate various bits and pieces in the van (such as the toilet!) so we had no issues. The only reason I gave 4 stars for location/neighborhood is because the RV is in the hosts' driveway, and does look directly out onto the back of the neighbors house. However, the street was very quiet and we had no issues whatsoever with privacy or noise. The Mill Haus Cider Co. in Eatonville is only 5 mins walk away and has great food and drink. The outdoor garden there is lovely. We also visited Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, which was a short drive away - great place for families. I would highly recommend if you are looking to 1) try out an RV, and 2) if you want to explore Mount Rainier National Park."

Lake Tanwax is a motorized lake. During the summer it is usually active, but not crowded. Most days it will be occupied by a few fisherman during the morning hours and by a few boaters in the heat of the day.

The Bungalow is located in a rural area and you will need to access by car. If you are looking for restaurants, or small town city life, the little town of Eatonville is 15 minutes south on Hwy 161. The town of Graham is 15 minutes north on Hwy 161, which is where you will find grocery stores (Safeway) and other amenities. Puyallup is only 20 minutes away from the house, which is where you will find many restaurants, movie theaters, and any other entertainment type things that you would expect from a local city.

The Lakefront Bungalow offers all of the cozy comforts of home with the added bonus of creating a wonderful escape from daily life and a lake just outside your door! The kitchen has a full size dishwasher, stove and refrigerator set up for your comfort and it also comes equipped with all of the basic needs for meal preparations . No need to hand wash dishes here! Put the dishes in the dishwasher and get back outside to enjoy the view! Head up to Mt. Rainier for a day of exploration and adventure, jump in the lake (the water temperatures can be excellent in the summertime!!) or spend your days fishing, relaxing! and curled up with a good book!!

Please note that this is a Shared Property. The house, deck, and small dock directly in front of the Bungalow are Private and for your exclusive use only. There is a Waterfront Cottage located ~ 50 feet from the bungalow. The cottage is not included in your rental and we ask that if someone happens to be occupying the cottage during your stay that you do not block their vehicle. Please respect their privacy (and we absolutely ask the same of them). This allows for a quite experience for guests separate from one another, or works great pairing families who want to stay in both places and enjoy lake time together! There is a fire pit located near the water that is a shared area, accessible for either home:-) Enjoy! For guest convenience, we are also happy to provide shared access to laundry facilities as needed. The washer and dryer are located in a separate small building adjacent to both the cottage and the bungalow.

Regarding pets: We know how important it is to travel with your fur family. We are happy to accommodate, and simply ask that you check for pre-approval and count them as an "extra guest" at a fee of $25 per pet.

The Bungalow is located in a rural area and a vehicle will be necessary to access any local amenities. There is parking space conveniently located directly behind the Bungalow.

The cabin shares a parking area with our other listing, "Unique Waterfront Cottage". The homes are about 50 feet from one another. This still allows for a quite experience for guests separate from one another, or works great if families want to combine. There is a fire pit near the water that is a shared area, accessible for either home. Water access is limited due to vegetation in front of the Bungalow (please see the picture of the dock for visual of the lily pads that are present during Spring and Summer)

The town of Graham is 17 miles north on Hwy 161, which is where you will find grocery stores (Safeway) and other amenities. Puyallup is only 20 miles away from the house, which is where you will find many restaurants, movie theaters, and any other entertainment type things that you would expect from a local city.

You have exclusive access to the entire three-story home, yard, and private dock during your stay! Every inch of space is set up for you to enjoy! Bring your ski boat and watercrafts and enjoy a day full of watersport adventures! There is a public boat ramp conveniently located about a six-minute drive from the lake house. Once your boat is in the water you can keep it at your very own private dock for your entire visit. Motorized vessels are permitted on Ohop Lake from 11:00am-3:30 every day! Non-motorized (and motorized) vessels with a rate of speed of 8mph or less are permitted on Ohop Lake all hours from dawn until dusk. Our fishing and swimming enthusiasts benefit greatly from the peace and tranquility Ohop Lake offers during all hours of the day, but especially during our morning and late afternoon/evening hours! Step inside this cozy two-room Adventure suite and feel right at home with its slope ceiling bedroom, real wood furniture, big and efficient fireplace, and a small kitchenette that features a small mini-fridge, a microwave, a kettle, coffee and creamer, sugar and tea, mugs and glasses, silverware, paper towels & plates, cutting board & a knife, bowls, and a wine opener. The bedroom has a king size bed and a place for your luggage.

You will need to go up the stairs to access this unit.

***This room is ideal for 2, since everything is tiny and small inside, but if you have 2 more small people with you we can offer a sleeping bag for one and another person can sleep on the couch.

This is a dry room, meaning there is NO running water inside the unit. But we offer a 5 gallon of water just outside of your door. Thw Jug can be refilled anytime.

We offer a Porta Potty (honey bucket) outside for the bathroom.

Dry cabin means there is no shower inside, but 4 min away from there is an Alder Lake Park where you can find shower facility.

****The shower facility in the park is actually pretty nice. They open from 8 am to 9 pm. They take quarters 1$ for 12min.
It is part of the camp ground, but the camp ground is away accross the road.
This shower faicility stands on its own right in the middle of the park where people swim.
It is very well maintained. I attached the pictures of it at the end. Not to mention, that spot on Alder Lake is the BEST to enjoy the sunset. Alder Lake is a cool place to check out while in this area.

We have Star Link router for the internet.

The town of Elbe is only 4 min away where you will find some places to eat, including Elbe Bar and Grill that closes at midnight.

Please note that this is a Shared Property. The house, deck, and small dock directly in front of the Bungalow are Private and for your exclusive use only. There is a Waterfront Cottage located ~ 50 feet from the bungalow. The cottage is not included in your rental and we ask that if someone happens to be occupying the cottage during your stay that you do not block their vehicle. Please respect their privacy (and we absolutely ask the same of them). This allows for a quite experience for guests separate from one another, or works great pairing families who want to stay in both places and enjoy lake time together! There is a fire pit located near the water that is a shared area, accessible for either home:-) Enjoy! For guest convenience, we are also happy to provide shared access to laundry facilities as needed. The washer and dryer are located in a separate small building adjacent to both the cottage and the bungalow.

Regarding pets: We know how important it is to travel with your fur family. We are happy to accommodate, and simply ask that you check for pre-approval and count them as an "extra guest" at a fee of $25 per pet.

Guest access
The Bungalow is located in a rural area and you will need to access by car. If you are looking for restaurants, or small town city life, the little town of Eatonville is 15 minutes south on Hwy 161. The town of Graham is 15 minutes north on Hwy 161, which is where you will find grocery stores (Safeway) and other amenities. Puyallup is only 20 minutes away from the house, which is where you will find many restaurants, movie theaters, and any other entertainment type things that you would expect from a local city.

Other things to note
The cabin shares a parking area with our other listing, "Unique Waterfront Cottage". The homes are about 50 feet from one another. This still allows for a quite experience for guests separate from one another, or works great if families want to combine. There is a fire pit near the water that is a shared area, accessible for either home. Water access is limited due to vegetation in front of the Bungalow (please see the picture of the dock for visual of the lily pads that are present during Spring and Summer)

Relax and unplug at this idyllic scenic retreat. 30 ft RV with a short queen in the master and narrow twin bunks in the second bedroom, next to our home on 40 acre farm property. The dinette can be converted to a small twin and there is a small double sofa bed in the living room.

Easy access to Highway 161, 30 mi from entrance to Mt. Rainier national park, but property has a secluded feel. Shared use of the deck, BBQ, and hot tub included. Fantastic views of Mt. Rainier.

The space
We have a 40 acre property at the end of 381st Street East. About 16 acres of hay pasture, 2 barns, the original 1910 farmhouse as well as the big lodge built in 1987. The RV is alongside the main lodge, to the left as you are looking at the garage.

We have a fenced-in chicken paddock, fenced-in garden area, 2 horses living their best life as pets in the lower pasture, peafowl in the pole barn, and lots of wildlife around - finches, blackbirds, hummingbirds, barn swallows, doves, other song birds, Canadian geese, ducks, frogs, dragonflies, wild bunnies, field mice, bats, hawks, crows occasional visits from a river otter family, an eagle, or a herd of elk (usually seen around dawn or dusk), and on the less desirable side we also have gophers, moles, voles, wasps and mosquitos - and the possibility of a coyote, mountain lion, or bear though those sightings are quite rare.

You are welcome to roam the property and explore. Please don't enter the chicken paddocks, the peafowl enclosure, or the horse pasture for your safety and the animals' welfare. In August you are welcome to pick blackberries from the ever-present blackberry bushes that are found in many places around the property.

Please take care around the pond - there are fish in there, and it's quite mucky. There is no fence or gate around the pond - or the hot tub for that matter - so please watch your children carefully.

We have an 8-person patio dining table and some comfy patio furniture out on the back deck of the lodge that we are happy to share with you, as well as a BBQ grill, fire pit, and hot tub.

You have exclusive use of the RV, and shared use of the back deck with patio furniture, BBQ Grill, Fire pit, and hot tub. Please re-cover the furniture, fire pit, or hot tub if you use them. Thank you!

Other things to note
Though you are far from the noise of the city, it is not completely quiet here. You will definitely hear animal noise... roosters in the morning, bullfrogs in the evening, ducks and geese, other songbirds, coyotes at night and occasionally the barking of our dogs. If it rains, the sound is rather loud on the roof of the trailer. We find these sounds soothing, but want you to be aware.

The booking is for 2 bedrooms and no host on site, please note the other listing is for a single bedroom and host on premises. The upstairs master bedroom and private bath with walk in show, queen size bed with ample space to walk around, watch tv, and the room has black out curtains for those sleepy mornings. The bathroom is tiled with a large walk-in three headed waterfall shower. The counter has a large mirror and two sinks next to the walk-in closet. Overall, a space big enough for two.

The second bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and a seperated bathroom. The bathroom is long and the tub is deep enough for the taller traveler. Both bedrooms offer a view of the mountain and lake and are equipped with TV and a ceiling fan.

The kitchen is full of cooking utensils and appliances to whip up your BBQ favorites or your winter home cooked meals all the way to grandma’s cookies. A tiled and granite counter top kitchen overlooking an open wood floored dining and living room space. Utilize the outdoor deck and table or head downstairs for the games and lake side fun.
Once downstairs, you will experience warm concrete polished floors and have open space to bring your lakeside snacks to the wet bar before going outside. The large game room offers a TV with couches, board games, or if you may want to get your exercise routine in before hitting the waves, some basic weights and workout equipment.

The lake side yard is fenced on the sides and open by the water. No Life Guard on Duty, so swim responsible. The dock is shared by 3 other houses, please be respectful of the other owners but feel free to share the dock with them. CA 12ft high dive at the end for the thrill seekers and shallow pool by the grass for those who want to get their feet wet. This enclosed section is a great kiddy area too, knee high.

The living, dining, kitchen, laundry room, and upstairs bathroom are all common spaces. Downstairs there is a great entertainment room and wet bar for shared space

The space
Originally built in 1901 as a homestead during the area’s logging boom, this beautifully remodeled cabin sits on 10 secluded acres. Today, it’s part of our growing farm featuring fruit trees, Scottish Highland cattle, and a newly added wedding venue.

Surrounded by forest with no other homes in sight, this peaceful property offers complete privacy and a true sense of escape.

The cabin is fully updated with modern comforts including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a fully stocked kitchen, and a bathroom featuring a 100-year-old cast iron clawfoot tub with shower and bath amenities included.

Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed in the master bedroom and a pull-out couch in the living room that sleeps two. You’ll also find board games, a flat-screen smart TV, and an outdoor fire pit for cozy evenings. (Firewood may be limited, so we recommend picking up a few bundles from the local store in Elbe.)

Just 20 minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park, you’ll have easy access to hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sightseeing. Whittaker Mountaineering is nearby for ski and snowshoe rentals.

Alder Lake, less than a mile away, offers public access for swimming, fishing, and a boat launch. We also have plenty of space on the property for extra vehicles or towing a boat, and RV hookups are available—contact us for details if you’re bringing a camper.

Please note: As this is an active farm, we may need to stop by the property briefly during your stay to feed or water the cows. We’ll always respect your privacy and keep any visits as unobtrusive as possible.

This three-acre retreat is named after the homesteaders who stewarded this land since the 1800's. Prior to the reservoir being filled, the town of Alder is just a few hundred feet from our front door.

The bunkhouse is simple. The loft upstairs has low ceilings. Guests regularly tell us how much they appreciate the peace and serenity.

Wildlife abounds, including deer, elk, eagles, owls, osprey, and more. Walkers and runners will enjoy our quiet country roads. Swimmer and explorers will love our glacial-fed lake.

Alder Lake is one of the most amazing recreational lakes in Washington State. Bring your boats and your swim suits. Fishing is open year-round.

Guests have full access to the water via more than 1000' of no-bank shoreline. The bunkhouse has a covered porch and a lot of space for parking, including large vehicles and equipment trailers like snowmobiles, atv's, etc.

The bunkhouse is private, but the 3-acre property is sometimes occupied by other guests. Please be respectful.

Alder Lake is a reservoir. The water level is lowered slowly from spring to fall, and even more during late September through December. The lake is almost always accessible, but there are times in the winter when the water cannot easily be reached, and our boat ramp cannot be used.

Welcome to The Edge of Paradise, a unique glamping experience right in the heart of Eatonville. The property boasts a full and gorgeous view of Mount Rainier on a clear day. It's a short drive to Northwest Trek and Mount Rainier National Park.

Eatonville offers hiking trails, rivers, parks, restaurants, and a popular Cider Mill all within a short walk.

The space
The Edge of Paradise is a 2020, 27 foot, Salem Cruise Lite Travel Trailer parked in an RV space on our property. It offers 2 private bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven and Keurig. There is also a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace as well as a separate dining space. The small outdoor dining/sitting space has a large picnic table, firepit, gas barbeque and a stunning view of Mount Rainier on a clear day.

The RV is situated between a neighboring property as well as our carport. There are wooden privacy screens on both sides to maintain privacy.

Your master suite is a private space that includes a TV and a comfy short queen bed suitable for 2 people. The bunk room has 3 small bunk beds suitable for children and/or small adults as well as a fold out couch which makes into a small bed.

The bathroom is private and features a sink, toilet, shower and a small bathtub.

Are you wanting a cozy night in while glamping? Your living room has a fold out couch with a large 50" 4K TV, Blu Ray DVD player and a wide variety of DVD's or streaming services to choose from.

The dining space can comfortably hold 5 people at one time and offers a great board game table including a selection of board games to try!

Perfect for a stay while you explore the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier, or just want a family and pet friendly get away.

The guest house near Mt. Rainier is nestled in the edge of the woods & provides an excellent relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy your own private fire pit with gas BBQ. We are 25 minutes away from Mt. Rainier, 10 min away from the main grocery store/restaurants, and only 1 min away from the gorgeous Alder Lake.

The space
It may look like a regular mobile home, but when you step inside, it feels more like a tiny cabin. Hunting and wildlife decorations are throughout the whole building.
The log furniture makes a perfect rustic getaway, and it helps one to disconnect. Its natural rugged look represents another time long ago when things were simpler...
It is only about 850 square feet, but it can easily accommodate up to 8 guests if you don't mind being close to each other.
Bedroom number one features a queen size bed, and an additional mattress can be pulled out from under the bed if needed.
Bedroom number 2 is very tiny and features a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and a twin bed next to it. An additional twin-size bed and a long couch are added to the living room for extra guests. For your entertainment a Smart 55" TV with Netflix was recently added to the living room as well. The Wifi is Starlink, but due to metal walls & roof the signal is not very strong inside the mobile.

The kitchen does NOT have a cooking stove, but we do provide 2 electric pans where you can cook just about anything. A slow cooker and an instant pot are provided as well. We do have a good size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, and a kettle for your coffee or tea. (provided).
You will also find cups, glasses, silverware, dishes, salad bowls, a cutting board, a knife, kitchen utensils, and a few other little things you may need for cooking like salt, pepper, & oil. The dining table sits 6 people and one more extra chair is added to the side.

The kitchen has a door that leads to the back of the mobile home where you will find a secluded firepit area with a BBQ , table, and chairs, surrounded by tiki torches, lights, and trees. Enjoy your dinner or a glass of wine while listening to the sound of coyotes who are often howling in the distance as soon as it gets dark.

Our doors are open day and night, so same-day arrival is not a problem at all.

Alder Reservoir is open year-round and offers good harvest opportunity for stocked kokanee. The reservoir also supports naturally reproducing populations of coastal cutthroat, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie, white crappie, and brown bullhead catfish. Anglers are allowed to retain up to 10 kokanee and 5 cutthroat per day.

We are 1-2 min away from Alder Lake where you can swim, fish, kayak, and enjoy the scenery.

Just a few min away (5-10) we have Elbe Hills which offers excellent small and big game hunting opportunities, and especially for deer and elk. Vehicle access to the forest during hunting season is limited only to those with a disabled access permit; all others may access the forest by foot, bike or horse.

Its all only4 min away from our property as well as a gift shop and couple of resturants including the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining place.

You are welcome to explore our 2 acres of woods. There is even a little 10 min trail up the hill in the woods which can lead you to see the Sunset.

Kern's Little Village is nested in the edge of the woods & offers 3 separate unique rentals which provide an excellent relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is a peaceful spot and the ultimate in "slow life" where you truly step back in time. A cozy place for a couple or perfect for anyone seeking solitude and a slower pace, surrounded by nature.
We're about 20 min away from the entrance to Mt. Rainier, 10 min from the grocery store & 2 min away from Alder Lake.

The space

Step inside this cozy two-room Adventure suite and feel right at home with its slope ceiling bedroom, real wood furniture, big and efficient fireplace, and a small kitchenette that features a small mini-fridge, a microwave, a kettle, coffee and creamer, sugar and tea, mugs and glasses, silverware, paper towels & plates, cutting board & a knife, bowls, and a wine opener. The bedroom has a king size bed and a place for your luggage.

You will need to go up the stairs to access this unit.

***This room is ideal for 2, since everything is tiny and small inside, but if you have 2 more small people with you we can offer a sleeping bag for one and another person can sleep on the couch.

This is a dry room, meaning there is NO running water inside the unit. But we offer a 5 gallon of water just outside of your door. Thw Jug can be refilled anytime.

We offer a Porta Potty (honey bucket) outside for the bathroom.

Dry cabin means there is no shower inside, but 4 min away from there is an Alder Lake Park where you can find shower facility.

****The shower facility in the park is actually pretty nice. They open from 8 am to 9 pm. They take quarters 1$ for 12min.
It is part of the camp groun, but the camp ground is away accross the road.
This shower faicility stands on its own right in the middle of the park where people swim.
It is very well maintained. I attached the pictures of it at the end. Not to mention, that spot on Alder Lake is the BEST to enjoy the sunset. Alder Lake is a cool place to check out while in this area.

We have Star Link router for the internet.

The town of Elbe is only 4 min away where you will find some places to eat, including Elbe Bar and Grill that closes at midnight.

Please note, we live on this property, so during the day, time to time you will see children (though, their summer will be busy spending time with grandparents and family away from home).

• The bunk room has its own private exterior entrance from the alley. Many guests love the added privacy, but it may not be ideal for young children unsupervised.
• The front porch and yard are shared with the neighboring unit. The yard is not fenced—please keep pets leashed if outside.
• This is a side-by-side duplex with an adjoining wall. We ask all guests to respect quiet hours and neighbors—no parties or events, please.
• The Bud Blancher Trailhead, leading to Mashell Falls, is 0.75 miles from the home and makes for an easy walk or short drive.
• Eatonville offers small-town charm with grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, hiking trails, and views of Mt. Rainier right from town.

Nature lovers will love the tranquility of our place. We are 25 minutes away from Mt. Rainier, 10 min away from the main grocery store/restaurants, and only 1 min away from the gorgeous Alder Lake.

The space
Our small, cozy, and cute mobile home is one of the largest units available at Kerns Little Village.

It may look like a regular mobile home, but when you step inside, it feels more like a tiny cabin. Hunting and wildlife decorations are throughout the whole building.
The log furniture makes a perfect rustic getaway, and it helps one to disconnect. Its natural rugged look represents another time long ago when things were simpler...

It is only about 850 square feet, but it can easily accommodate up to 8 guests if you don't mind being close to each other.

Bedroom number one future a queen size bed, and an additional mattress can be pulled out from under the bed if needed.
Bedroom number 2 is very tiny and features a twin-over-twin bunk bed, and a twin bed next to it. An additional twin-size bed and a long couch are added to the living room for extra guests. For your entertainment a Smart 55" TV with Netflix was recently added to the living room as well. The Wifi is not very fast, but we do have one.

At this point, the kitchen does NOT have a cooking stove, but we do provide 2 electric pans where you can cook just about anything. A slow cooker and an instant pot are provided as well. We do have a good size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, and a kettle for your coffee or tea. (provided).
You will also find cups, glasses, silverware, dishes, salad bowls, a cutting board, a knife, kitchen utensils, and a few other little things you may need for cooking like salt, paper, and oil are
The dining table sits 6 people and one more extra chair is added to the side.

The kitchen has a door that leads to the back of the mobile home where you will find a secluded firepit area with a BBQ , table, and chairs, surrounded by tiki torches, lights, and trees. Enjoy your dinner or a glass of wine while listening to the sound of coyotes who are often howling in the distance as soon as it gets dark.

Our doors are open day and night, so same-day arrival is not a problem at all.

Alder Reservoir is open year-round and offers good harvest opportunity for stocked kokanee. The reservoir also supports naturally reproducing populations of coastal cutthroat, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie, white crappie, and brown bullhead catfish. Anglers are allowed to retain up to 10 kokanee and 5 cutthroat per day.

We are 1-2 min away from Alder Lake where you can swim, fish, kayak, and enjoy the scenery.

Just a few min away (5-10) we have Elbe Hills which offers excellent small and big game hunting opportunities, and especially for deer and elk. Vehicle access to the forest during hunting season is limited only to those with a disabled access permit; all others may access the forest by foot, bike or horse.

Its all only4 min away from our property as well as a gift shop and couple of resturants including the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining place.

Other things to note
Fishing is open year-round and Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Crappie, and Yellow Perch can all be found in Tanwax Lake. If you get lucky, grill up some freshly caught fish on the gas BBQ grill (we provide the propane). This can be found on the large covered deck that you have exclusive use of during your stay. A cozy bistro table is available for a quiet romantic evening for couples, or a family with kiddos may find the larger picnic table more their style:)

Need to get out of the sun but not ready for relaxing inside the air-conditioned house? We have a large sun umbrella (and multiple deck chairs) that will provide a welcome shade for reading, relaxing, and visiting with your loved ones.

Wish we had a working hot tub to share, but please note we do not have any close up pictures of the hot tub (for those with a keen eye, a shell of a hot tub can be one seen far off in a yard picture of the house, but only because it is too large to haul away and we did not want to 'photo shop' pictures;-)

Guest access
You have exclusive access to the entire three-story home, yard, and private dock during your stay! Every inch of space is set up for you to enjoy! Bring your ski boat and watercrafts and enjoy a day full of watersport adventures! There is a public boat ramp conveniently located about a six-minute drive from the lake house. Once your boat is in the water you can keep it at your very own private dock for your entire visit. Motorized vessels are permitted on Ohop Lake from 11:00am-3:30 every day! Non-motorized (and motorized) vessels with a rate of speed of 8mph or less are permitted on Ohop Lake all hours from dawn until dusk. Our fishing and swimming enthusiasts benefit greatly from the peace and tranquility Ohop Lake offers during all hours of the day, but especially during our morning and late afternoon/evening hours! Bring your swimwear, trolling motors, kayaks, and smiles! We hope you cherish the peace and tranquility by the lake as much as we do!

Ohop Lake Escape is equipped with a full sized fridge/freezer, oven/stovetop, pots, pans, dishwasher, glassware, utensils, kiddos plates, bowls & cups, paper towels, silverware, knives, coffee pot (regular), toaster, microwave, blender, toaster, crockpot, fresh sheets and towels, extra blankets, soap, shampoo, coffee, tea, toilet paper, bath/shower, hair dryer, iron, 2 Amazon Fire 50” 4K UHD Smart TV's (enabling our guests to use their personal accounts to watch whatever they choose), smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher.

Guest access
Guests will need a car to get around, we are located less than 10 minutes to Eatonville with restaurants and groceries.

Guests have access to the entire property aside from locked owners closets and outbuildings. There is a shed and well house that are off limits, as well as a large corrugated tube that houses well equipment. Please avoid this as it is essential for the function of the water in the house.

There is parking in driveway alongside the cabin with enough space for 3 cars.

Other things to note
Bring your fishing poles for a chance to catch black crappie, yellow perch, largemouth bass, bluegill, brown bullhead catfish, pumpkinseed sunfish, and coastal cutthroat!
Washington State requires a fishing license for those 15 and over.

Ohop Lake is wonderful for fishing and water sports, but like other lakes nearby, it does occasionally have algae that can be toxic. Enter the lake at your own risk and search for current water advisories online with the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department.

For the safety of our guests and the security of our home, there are 3 security cameras on the exterior of the property. There is a doorbell camera , a camera facing the street and a 3rd facing the yard and lake.

Use of dock, watercraft, swimming and campfires are at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times both inside and outside the home.

There is no lifeguard on duty and there are potential inherent dangers to children and adults when using the lake, dock, watercraft, and campfires, as well as the stairs inside and outside the property. There are added risks when children are not closely supervised, while using any type of alcohol, drugs, or medication, has health risks, or while pregnant.

By staying at the advertised property, The Lily Pad, you agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents and bodily injury that occurs to renter(s) and those in their party inside and outside the home during your stay. When near the water body please take all precausions to be safe.
You have 2 kayaks available for use. One 2 seater and 1 single seater.
Please wear life jacket when using kayaks and make sure the kids if any are monitered closely and have them wear life jacket when access to the lake is there for them.
Our private dock invites you to cast a line and immerse yourself in the therapeutic art of fishing.
Fishing is open year-round (WA State requires fishing license for age 15+) and Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Black Crappie, and Brown Bullhead, and Perch can all be found in Ohop Lake. Don’t forget to bring your fishing poles!
