This house is a top/bottom unit. You will be staying in the upper unit, completely separate from the bottom unit, with its own entrance. A petite front yard exclusively belongs to the upper unit, while the highlight is undoubtedly the balcony deck accessible through French doors in the kitchen, a favorite feature that offers a breathtaking 180-degree vista of the city skyline and majestic mountain ranges.

You’ll have a queen size bed, two big closets, and a small living room space with a TV that includes streaming services. The entire upstairs is yours. Skylights let in extra light and also lull you to sleep on rainy days.

You’ll have access to the kitchen, your own bathroom (shared with guests but not us), back deck and yard, front porch, dining room, and basically the whole house but our bedroom and guest bedroom.

Townhouse is 1250 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Master bedroom has queen sized bed, walk-in closet, and an attached full bathroom with tub and shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a full bathroom with tub and shower. Bedroom 2 has full sized bed with closet space and small desk for working. Bedroom 3 has twin sized bed with large desk for working.
Kitchen has some pans and baking sheets, some plates and drinking glasses, and silverware. Living room has one couch and one recliner, along with an electric fireplace and tv featuring Firestick.

Guests are welcome to all areas of the house except the garage.

This attic loft and private bedroom boasts over 190 sq feet of living space. With essentials tucked in the attic dormers, leaving ample floor space, it's charm is perfect for short or long term stays for 2-3 adults. Between the bedroom and loft there are ample clothing storage options. Even though this loft is extremely private and not accessible to any other guests or residents, the quiet hours of 10pm - 7am still need to be adhered to. No extra guests or visitors are allowed.

The space
The house is located on a community farm nestled in the outskirts of downtown Tacoma. If you enjoy walking or need other major public transportation near your accommodations, this is the place!

The original home is 800 square feet with the attic built out to provide additional living space. We've organized and decorated the shared home with a focus on comfortable sleeping and private room/semi private room spaces so there is no living room. However, each room is equipped with a seating bench.

The community farm is active and you'll see farm staff members and volunteers working hard to provide food to the community. The farm is not accessible to Airbnb guests. Please do not enter the farm unless you're invited into the space by the farm manager. Thank you.

This is a very small and charming farm house. You'll have a very comfortable room space, a dining room table located just off of the kitchen to share with housemates.

You'll have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, refrigerator, and laundry facilities.

The home is very peaceful and quiet. Your housemates appreciate guests who help maintain the cleanliness, peace, and quiet.

During your stay
We live nearby and can be reached ONLY through the Airbnb calling and messaging system. Please allow the permanent residents, tenants, and other short or long term guests who live there to retain their privacy. Although very kind people, they're not available to host you nor to provide hosting services. If you need anything, please contact us promptly.

If you need us to bring any equipment or supplies, please let that be known in your total request to us. We are not always able to make multiple visits within one day due to multiple requests sent throughout the day. However, we are willing to return the next day with everything you need.

While we understand that international travelers may have limited interaction with African Americans, we'd appreciate you refraining from asking anyone not in your traveling party to pose for photos with you. However, please feel free to admire and take photos of the African American art featured throughout the space. Thank you for understanding!

Other things to note
The home is leased to and operated by a black couple in Tacoma, WA who are community housing advocates and city farmers. This is a shared community residence and city farm owned by a black organization to feed the black community. Due to severe health risks, we are unable to accept animals of any kind. Thank you for considering our accommodations!

Welcome to Casa Camandona we have prepared this guide to keep order and a great environment in the home. We are not the police but do find that some simple common sense rules can make for a peaceful stay Jimmy
The house is a very large Edwardian House started in 1888 and completed in 1900 for a local lumber Baron and his family. I live in the former servant’s quarters in the basement with “Hannah” my German Shepard rescue dog
We are located down the street from Wright Park one of the city’s premiere parks with running trails, walking paths, fountains a kid’s water park area and too many other things to list. There are hundreds of restaurants, fast food and bars all within a short walk of the house.
I am providing budget-oriented, sociable accommodations in a clean, quiet comfy home with a small European Hostel feel for those with a gusto for something fun and different. There can possible be up to ten guests staying here but there are normally 2 or 3 at most and never feels too much. Feel free to be social or not, its 100% up to you.
We are in an ethnically diverse neighborhood, you are going to see White, Latin, Asian and Black neighbors walking around as we have a huge park across the street. The front porch is a great place to relax with a beverage and watch the local Tacoma characters.
We are constantly striving to improve the guest experience so any suggestions good or bad are taken very seriously.
We practice Buy American at the house so you may notice that most all of the appliances are “Made in America” and we try to make sure as much as possible is. Also the house is 80% led smart lighting and we are shooting for 100%.
I have been hosting over three year now and I find it exciting and very fun, other than washing all those linens

We have recently had issues with Airbnb users booking for other guests, and we do not allow this and either do the Airbnb terms of service. This is my home and you get to see who I am I want to know who my guest is.
I reserve the right to check the government id of guests checking in, just to keep us all honest in this eco system

I try to greet all guests in person at the front door and provide a quick tour of the house. Give you a set of key to the bedroom. Answer any questions you have then let you go from there.

Long-term Guests more than two weeks:
We serve a real need for longer term guests that need clean affordable temporary housing. We have had many guests stay one, two even three or more months here and I feel that they are family. That being said I give a very good monthly rate but to do that I need you to cooperate.

Please take your trash out to the dumpster (don’t stack it in the kitchen)
After washing and drying dishes put them away, don’t leave them in dish rack or dishwasher and rinse out the sink.

Wi-Fi-we have a very fast 1gig internet in the house A top of the line router wifi6 Rated handle up to 200 connections.
Please keep in mind I am not a computer tech so I will be little help. If for some reason you are not connecting, try forgetting the Wi-Fi network then relogging on or try rebooting your gadget
***** Also our Internet service provider is very aggressive at using peer to peer illegal sharing of copyrighted material eg. Bitorrent, popcorn time etc. please don’t use them they will call me within 6 hours. They have threatened to permanently shut off our service due to guests downloading illegal content. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, great! Even better
Safety

Please do not use any extension cords on space heaters, microwaves, irons or anything that pulls a lot of amps
We have a mix of hard wired linked fire alarms and smart Wi-Fi smoke carbon monoxide detectors located around the house. If for some reason one of the alarms goes off, please exit the house and rally across the street in front of the apartments so I can do a check. The smart detectors will say what the alarm is and the location of the alarm.

Smoking:
If you smoke please do so on the main floor porch This includes marijuana and vapors which are legal to smoke in Washington State

Quiet Times:
Quiet times mean music and tv should not be heard outside your room. No long showers, other guests want to brush their teeth and get ready for bed

This AirBnB is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. It's located blocks away from UW Tacoma (3min), Tacoma Dome (4min), & (2min) St Joseph Hospital! The space
The rooms are available for individual single bookings. The bed sizes are Full Mattress (one mattress per room). Currently, the private half bathroom inside Guest Room #2 is being remodeled and is not available for use. This means that there is only one full shared bathroom in operation until the reconstruction is finished. If you want a location to use for your Maps ETA, you can use St. Joseph Medical Center as a reference point (1717 S J St, Tacoma, WA, 98405).

During your stay
I mostly keep to myself and spend most of my time at work or outside of the house. If you need to reach me the best way to contact me is either through the Airbnb app or through What's App (Alexis Watts).

Other things to note
This house is a shared home by myself (Watts the homeowner) and my roommate (Dylan Handyman/Maintenance). If something breaks or needs immediate attention, please bring it up to me or my handyman Dylan who handles all maintenance and utility issues and also resides on property. A problem or discrepancy cannot be fixed if nothing is said so please bring any problems to my attention. If you decide to only book one room, you may be around other guests that occupy the common area such as the living room, kitchen, dedicated office space, and laundry rooms; if they book during the same time as your stay. I do live in the third bedroom that is joint to the full bathroom area. Please do not try to open the other door inside the bathroom or try to enter my room or my handyman Dylan's under any circumstances.

If you'd like to book out both of the two guest rooms, that will be an additional charge for $30 per night before tax. If you want to share the room with another person, you need to specify how many people will be staying during the trip located in the number of guest section when booking. I don't mind if you invite guest over but there are no overnight guest allowed.

Reservation Modifications
Any extra accomodations need to be specified and paid for during the booking. If you would like to add guest to the reservation during or post booking, you can send me a message and I will add the new rate to the reservation.

Refund Policy
If you need to make any changes to the duration of stay for the reservation, for all short-term reservations (anything under 28 days) the following Standard Policies apply:
My Flexible booking option allows Guests to get a full refund if they cancel up to a day (24hrs) before check-in. In addition to Flexible, I also offer a Non-Refundable option—guests pay 10% less, but I offer no refund if a cancellation is required. For long term stays a Full refund will be offered if cancelled within two days (48 hrs) of the initial booking and at least 28 days before check-in. After that, the first 30 days of the stay are non-refundable.

Note: Lastly, I humbly ask that you do not, understand any circumstances, ever, enter mine or Dylan's personal bedrooms. Doing so will result in immediate termination of the booking without a refund.

Welcome to Casa Camandona we have prepared this guide to keep order and a great environment in the home. We are not the police but do find that some simple common sense rules can make for a peaceful stay Jimmy
The house is a very large Edwardian House started in 1888 and completed in 1900 for a local lumber Baron and his family. I live in the former servant’s quarters in the basement with “Hannah” my German Shepard rescue dog
We are located down the street from Wright Park one of the city’s premiere parks with running trails, walking paths, fountains a kid’s water park area and too many other things to list. There are hundreds of restaurants, fast food and bars all within a short walk of the house.
I am providing budget-oriented, sociable accommodations in a clean, quiet comfy home with a small European Hostel feel for those with a gusto for something fun and different. There can possible be up to ten guests staying here but there are normally 2 or 3 at most and never feels too much. Feel free to be social or not, its 100% up to you.
We are in an ethnically diverse neighborhood, you are going to see White, Latin, Asian and Black neighbors walking around as we have a huge park across the street. The front porch is a great place to relax with a beverage and watch the local Tacoma characters.
We are constantly striving to improve the guest experience so any suggestions good or bad are taken very seriously.
We practice Buy American at the house so you may notice that most all of the appliances are “Made in America” and we try to make sure as much as possible is. Also the house is 80% led smart lighting and we are shooting for 100%.
I have been hosting over three year now and I find it exciting and very fun, other than washing all those linens

We have recently had issues with Airbnb users booking for other guests, and we do not allow this and either do the Airbnb terms of service. This is my home and you get to see who I am I want to know who my guest is.
I reserve the right to check the government id of guests checking in, just to keep us all honest in this eco system

Day arriving:
Please contact me with an approximate arrival time in the morning. If I don’t hear from you I will meet you at that time. If you are not sure please contact me and just let me know a window like 6 to 7pm so I can start to organize my day.
If I am not at the house, I will be at my office which is only a couple blocks away
I try to greet all guests in person at the front door and provide a quick tour of the house. Give you a set of key to the bedroom. Answer any questions you have then let you go from there.
If I cannot meet you please use the digital lock on front door

Please make sure windows are closed
Place the keys by the tv in your room
Message me that you are checking out

Long-term Guests more than two weeks:
We serve a real need for longer term guests that need clean affordable temporary housing. We have had many guests stay one, two even three or more months here and I feel that they are family. That being said I give a very good monthly rate but to do that I need you to cooperate.

Please take your trash out to the dumpster (don’t stack it in the kitchen)
After washing and drying dishes put them away, don’t leave them in dish rack or dishwasher and rinse out the sink.

Wi-Fi-we have a very fast 1gig internet in the house A top of the line router wifi6 Rated handle up to 200 connections.
Please keep in mind I am not a computer tech so I will be little help. If for some reason you are not connecting, try forgetting the Wi-Fi network then relogging on or try rebooting your gadget
***** Also our Internet service provider is very aggressive at using peer to peer illegal sharing of copyrighted material eg. Bitorrent, popcorn time etc. please don’t use them they will call me within 6 hours. They have threatened to permanently shut off our service due to guests downloading illegal content. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, great! Even better
Safety

Please do not use any extension cords on space heaters, microwaves, irons or anything that pulls a lot of amps
We have a mix of hard wired linked fire alarms and smart Wi-Fi smoke carbon monoxide detectors located around the house. If for some reason one of the alarms goes off, please exit the house and rally across the street in front of the apartments so I can do a check. The smart detectors will say what the alarm is and the location of the alarm.
For more detailed information, please consult the safety card in your room or the info book in book shelf in the parlor

Smoking:
If you smoke please do so on the main floor porch This includes marijuana and vapors which are legal to smoke in Washington State

Quiet Times:
Quiet times mean music and tv should not be heard outside your room. No long showers, other guests want to brush their teeth and get ready for bed

We provide items for a light continental breakfast 5am to 10:00 am juice, yogurt, fruit, toast and coffee. This stuff is not for lunch or dinner you are expected to provide these items yourself or go out to eat at one of the amazing bars or restaurants a short stroll away

Lunch and Dinner are NOT included in your nightly fee

****Kitchen & Living room area Closed from 10am till 4pm Daily***
We need time to clean the kitchen and bathroom and it is impossible if people camping out. Go to a coffee shop

****Also please clean your dirty dishes promptly and no hoarding of kitchen items in guest rooms. Also rinse out bits of food from sink after washing dishes as this is the number one comment from other guests

Feel free to put your dishes in the dishwasher as long as the CLEAN light is NOT ON, as the load has finished being cleaned and waiting to be emptied. Feel free to earn some good Karma by putting the clean dishes away. The soap pods are under the sink

Help yourself to a beverage, fruit or yogurt for breakfast 5am till 1000am

Brita Water pitcher-please fill it up if its low (good Karma)

I enjoy interacting with guests, when we encounter each other, but I wont be knocking on your bedroom door to chat. I like to give you the peace and quiet you are looking for. I'm up at 4am everyday responding to emails and taking care of my other businesses, so I do go to bed between 8 and 9pm. Please don't take it personally if I am not able to greet you for check in.I am gone most of the weekend at the business that I operate two blocks away. But I do spend a lot of time around the house during the week.

Walking distance to theaters, pubs, coffee shops with easy access to the downtown corridor and the light rail link.

Two private bedrooms and a full bathroom in Hilltop, Tacoma. Access to all shared living spaces, patio set with fireplace, and mostly fenced yard. Central to hilltop entertainment, including a 1.3 mile drive to the Tacoma Dome.

Myself, my 10 year old dog, and my 3 year old cat reside in the opposite side of the home. Our home is pet friendly as long as your pets are kind to the house and the fur babies here.

Perfectly situated in a charming alcove in the historic Hilltop neighborhood, a short walk to two major medical facilities and many delicious restaurants, lounges and pubs!

The space
Luxuriate in the lushly appointed queen size bed in this bright beautiful private suite located on the top floor of this vertical historic home. PLEASE NOTE: there are many stairs leading up to the top of the house! My home is situated between two major medical facilities and surrounded by a variety of interesting amenities, this room is the perfect fit for traveling healthcare and medical professionals!

Nearby running trails, bike lanes and an easy stroll to many compelling areas of interest in the Theatre, Business, and Museum Districts. Seattle/Tacoma International Airport is approximately 20 miles to the Northwest - travel times vary but typically it's about a 30 drive.

There are two full sized bathrooms on the middle floor and a powder room next to the kitchen on the main floor.

There's three kitty cats that live here, they are not allowed in the guest rooms but they may swing by to say hi.

PLEASE NOTE: the carpet in the suite is brand new, theres a comfy bench and shoe storage on the landing please consider removing your shoes here and enjoy the lush and so very clean carpet!

The space
Clean and cozy relaxed vibe, open floor plan, shared modern space. Free on street parking. Your bedroom has plenty of dresser space and a rack you can hang coats and other clothing on. The room is not the biggest, but it's plenty cozy, clean, and full of amenities you might need including Turkish cotton robes.
I don't own any pets.

Up Front. I live in this home and take care of the place. I might be riding my spin bike when you come in from a day around town. I might be cooking. I'm pretty easy going and can assure you I will do my very best to accomodate your stay and will give you all the space you need.

Please note that this home is located in a transitional neighborhood in an urban setting and there is a housing unit being built across the street so there will be construction noise throughout the day, but it's super fun to watch and the front yard is a great space to see what's going on at my bird feeders.

Enter through the front door on L Street. I set a unique code for each guest. Please lock the door upon entry. When exiting please simply press the Schlage button and turn the knob counter-clockwise to lock the door.

You are close to downtown where the art museums are located, and the convention center.

Located 1 block from the Link Light Rail, 2 blocks from Tacoma General Hospital, Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and famous Wright Park. St. Joseph's Hospital, Downtown and 6th Ave are all just a mile away and Point Ruston and Point Defiance Park are just a short 15-minute drive.

The space
We have transformed the original Carriage House of our 1890’s home in a cozy studio! Though the space is small, we have designed it to use every inch of space to make this a unique stay in the heart of Tacoma. The studio offers a kitchenette with a mini fridge/freezer, 2 burner induction countertop stove, microwave, sink and counterspace. There is a foldable table for dining or working. Up a small set of stairs are the sleeping area (lofted bed with another small set of stairs) and the bathroom. The full bed and tv are located in a cozy lofted area, with creative storage options and the bathroom includes a standing shower, toilet, sink and basic amenities.

Ample free street parking is available for your use. The parking spot located directly in front of the studio is used by other tenants and is not available for use.

The apartment is located in a unique early 20th-century building in a quiet but urbane neighborhood of Tacoma.

The apartment itself was fully remodeled in the last few years with modern appliances, heating/AC, double pane windows, and much more. The living quarters fill with light even on overcast days, but blackout blinds are included in the bedroom should you need to sleep in.

It features a large living room that opens into a bedroom via two French doors. A galley kitchen provides the chef with modern and attractive appliances and connects to a cozy full-bath with clawfoot tub.
