The area is a gated community that is in the early stages of being developed. Currently there are very few houses on the mountain. It was very quiet and peaceful. We were a five minute walk from the clubhouse which had an infinity pool overlooking even more of the valley. There are a number of activities in the region. We went whitewater rafting, fishing, swimming, biking on the Greenbrier River Trail, and shopping in Lewisburg, including some very nice restaurants. Thank you to the hosts for providing such an unforgettable experience."

This is a small cozy cabin located on the ridge overlooking the river. I trail goes down to the river and gazebo area. There is a large screened in porch that connects to an outdoor grilling and eating area. An air conditioner is located in the cabin but during extreme heat only works to keep the cabin comfortable. Great for families or those that enjoy nature.

We have farm animals that you will fall in love with and a lot of area to go hiking if you like to. This is a Puma Camper in great condition. Sleeps up to 4 people comfortably. Enjoy the beautiful views all around you. The camper has 1 queen size bed, A/C , propane heat and electric fireplace, shower, pull out sofa (full size), microwave, small stove, coffee maker, fridge, freezer, 2 TVs with DVD players. While you are here you can say Hi to all our farm animals and watch them play. Relax and unwind from everything here. Enjoy the beautiful views all around and connect with nature. Our Cafe and Marketplace are next door in the big metal building. Come grab a bite to eat and shop. Things to do around us are a lake with community pool, caverns, a few different national forests, kayaking, humpback bridge, falling springs falls and Lewisburg. Lewisburg was voted Americas coolest small town. All things I have listed are anywhere from 10 mins - an hour away.

- "This was our 2nd time staying here while we had a small event about 10 mins down the road. Once again the camper was very clean, and the animals are adorable! We were greeted by goats and a little barn cat wanted to be our best friend. Christine was beyond patient and responsive to my questions, and sadly we left an important bag behind. We had to drive 3 hours back to get it. She was so kind to acknowledge she had it and left it in the camper for us to get. If you need a little get away, I highly recommend the camper. The bed is very comfortable and the chairs and couch are too. Great host!"

Our rustic log cabin offers beautiful mountain views. Peaceful, very secluded. Located upon a mountain ridge in Gap Mills, WV. Only 0.4 miles from the main road. Travel to the top of a mountain ridge on a narrow, graveled country road. While staying at our cabin, listen to the sounds of nature and enjoy the wildlife and scenery and smell the fresh country air. Wild turkey, deer and other wildlife roam freely on our property. Watch a mountain sunset, listen to the hush of early morning. Sit on the covered porch with an inviting swing, and rocking chairs to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Stargazing and sitting by an open campfire at night. You will enjoy the peaceful tranquility of our cabin. This is truly a special mountainous, secluded location.

The front door opens to a warm and welcoming room with cathedral ceilings. The Living room includes a 43" flat screen TV with Roku, a comfy queen-sized sleep sofa, with matching armchair. A dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare and cook your favorite meals. Keurig coffee maker with a handful of k-cups. Paper towels provided. Dish soap and hand soap provided. To the right of the living room is the master bedroom with a queen-sized log bed, roku tv, wardrobe and chair. There is a loft access via the ladder with handrails which features twin sized log beds (Loft area and steep ladder may not be suitable for very young children). There is a full bathroom with a vanity and shower, equipped with hand soap and toilet paper. You will need to bring your own bath soap and toiletries. All towels, sheets, pillows and blankets provided. Iron and ironing board, luggage racks, a drying rack provided.

Outside you will find a large firepit with a park-style cooking grate for grilling over an open fire and also a park style charcoal grill beside the picnic table. (charcoal not provided) with Adirondack chairs. Great for relaxing under the stars, making smores, grilling or just relaxing in front of an open fire with friends and family. Firewood is provided at no charge to our guests. The string lights turn on at dusk and off at dawn. They can be turned off via a button on the side of the cabin if preferred off.

Must be 24 or older to book this cabin. 14 day maximum stay. Please read entire listing before booking this cabin. There are 2 security cameras. One is located under front porch eave facing the property entrance. The other one is under the back eave of cabin facing the back of property towards back field gate. These cameras are for the safety of our guests and protection of our property only. They record video and audio of these areas. Neither face the cabin.

The Hunker Inn is a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment attached to The Hunkerdown, a family friendly coffee shop in a historic general store. It is the perfect location for cyclists with many scenic routes just outside the doors. It is also within a few miles of the quaint historic town of Union, Second Creek Fly fishing, the Greenbrier River, and Moncove Lake.

This historic building was originally a general store built in the very early 1900's. After the general store, and before it sat vacant for many years, it was home to Bob & Bob International caving supplies. The building is currently home to The Hunkerdown coffee shop, Sinks Grove Chiropractic, and this one bedroom apartment converted to airbnb.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The king size bed has an organic Avocado mattress to give you a restful night sleep. There are also two twin fold out beds that are available, and reported to be quite comfortable. These can be combined for a king size bed, or used separately as twin beds. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, baking supplies, coffee, and even a popcorn popper. The furniture and decor throughout the space holds a retro vibe that makes the apartment unique and comfortable. The living room has a 52" smart television that is ready for your viewing pleasure. There is even a fire pit in the back yard ready for your evening enjoyment.

This property has been a labor of love and encompasses many avenues of our creative entrepreneurship. Come visit Monroe County, and be mesmerized by it's beauty and friendly communities.

Lou Lou's Cabin is a small cabin that comfortably sleeps two, but can sleep up to 4. It is furnished with a full sized bed, a fold-out futon, a side table, and a small dining table with two chairs. There is also a small dining table with two chairs on the porch and more chairs around the fire pit. We provide linens and extra blankets for chilly nights. This is a PRIMITIVE cabin, meaning there is no power or water in the cabin. Power can be provided via drop cord allowing for device charging, light, fan (provided), and/or space heater (provided). There is a bathhouse on site with a toilet, shower, and sink. Towels and toiletries provided. The bathhouse is heated and does have a small refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee and fixin's provided. The bathhouse is not directly beside the cabin, it is a short walk through the yard (flashlight provided). The entire cabin is yours during your stay. You can also enjoy the firepit at the cabin and hiking on the property. Leashed dogs are welcome, but they must be dog-friendly as our two labs will join us outside their fence if we are out and about on our property. They love to play! There is no cell signal, so be sure to put the address in your GPS before you head our way and do not turn it off until you arrive (or take screenshots). Look for the black dog flag at the end of our driveway! Once you have pulled in, you will see your cabin to the left. The driveway will lead you straight to your parking spot! You can bring up to two vehicles for your visit! Once you arrive, you will have WiFi access at the bathhouse and adjacent porch where you can download directions to any other destinations. Think of this as a very small campground experience! You can almost consider this "glamping" as there is no running water inside the cabin and electricity comes from a drop-cord that powers the entire structure (there are regular outlets and the power is strong enough to run a fan or heater as well as charge devices, etc.). NOTE - if you are looking for a truly primitive experience, we don't have to plug in the cord! There is no cell phone service in our general area and there is no Wi-Fi in the cabin. We will share our extender network name and password, but you will probably have the most luck picking up Wi-Fi near the bathhouse and adjacent porch. Wi-Fi details are posted inside the bathhouse. (The host's home has a permanent landline for emergencies.) Speaking of the porch, this is where the hosts spend a lot of time when the weather is nice. Feel free to use the porch whether we are out there or not! We love meeting new people, but we can also blend into the background and respect your privacy. We will always follow your lead and will never force awkward conversations on you! You have a small firepit outside of your cabin and we provide fire starters (recycled toilet paper tubes stuffed with dryer lint) and firewood for each night of your visit. Extra firewood can be purchased for those all-nighters. Pay attention to local outdoor burning guidelines and always follow them. Please do not burn outside of the pit or use any accelerant outside of what is provided to you. We are in a popular area for riding ATVs/UTVs. These machines are welcome to be parked on our property but can only be ridden on the driveway to enter/exit the property. Please do your own research on the West Virginia state laws regarding operation of these vehicles on the roads. Anyone operating their machine in a dangerous manner or operating it outside of entering/exiting the property will be asked to leave without a refund. We are in the mountains and occasionally a hungry bear will snoop around our property. All food must be secure (preferably in a bear proof canister or inside your locked vehicle) and trash should be disposed of properly to deter bears from visiting! We have a bathhouse on the property with a sink, shower, and toilet. There is hot and cold water. There is a small refrigerator in the bathhouse as well as a Keurig (coffee and accoutrements provided). We keep bottled water and a container of fresh spring water available to you, the water comes from a spring pipe located just short of a mile from the property. The pipe provides a constant flow of cold, fresh water from an artesian spring and we fill the container just before your check-in time. We will also tell you how to get to the spring pipe yourself!

We are about a mile from Moncove Lake State Park and about 25 minutes from Lake Tuckahoe. We have two kayaks and a canoe available for rent, you must be able to haul them yourself. Oars are provided and we have a few life-jackets on hand, please inquire about rental pricing and available life-jacket sizes if interested.

LouLou's Cabin on Black Dog Farm is the perfect getaway to unplug and recharge. We are far away from it all, yet close enough to find what you're looking for!

The space
Lou Lou's Cabin is a small cabin that comfortably sleeps two, but can sleep up to 4. It is furnished with a full sized bed, a fold-out futon, a side table, and a small dining table with two chairs. There is also a small dining table with two chairs on the porch and more chairs around the fire pit. We provide linens and extra blankets for chilly nights. This is a PRIMITIVE cabin, meaning there is no power or water in the cabin. Power can be provided via drop cord allowing for device charging, light, fan (provided), and/or space heater (provided). There is a bathhouse on site with a toilet, shower, and sink. Towels and toiletries provided. The bathhouse is heated and does have a small refrigerator and coffee maker with coffee and fixin's provided. The bathhouse is not directly beside the cabin, it is a short walk through the yard (flashlight provided).

Guest access
The entire cabin is yours during your stay. You can also enjoy the firepit at the cabin and hiking on the property.

Other things to note
Leashed dogs are welcome, but they must be dog-friendly as our two labs will join us outside their fence if we are out and about on our property. They love to play!

The space
The Hideaway cabin is located upon a mountain ridge with 16 acres to roam, named Hideaway Ridge. Very private and secluded. This is a place to slow down, and enjoy all the unspoiled natural beauty of WV, of nature and mountains and smell the fresh country air. To watch a mountain sunset, or listen to the hush of early morning. Sit on the covered porch with an inviting swing, and rocking chairs to relax and enjoy peace and quiet, and the sounds of nature. Wild Turkey, deer and other wildlife roam freely on our property. The front door opens to a warm and welcoming room with cathedral ceilings. The living room incudes a 43" flat screen TV with Roku, a comfy queen-sized sleep sofa with matching arm chair. A dining table and four chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped to prepare and cook your favorite meals. Keurig coffee pot with a handful of k-cups. To the right of the living room is the master bedroom with a queen-sized log bed, wardrobe and chair. There is a loft access via the ladder with handrails which features twin sized log beds.(loft area may not be suitable for very young children) There is a full bathroom with a vanity and shower. Outside you will find a large fire-pit with a cooking grate for grilling over an open fire as well as a charcoal grill beside the picnic table (charcoal not provided) with adirondack chairs. Fantastic for relaxing under the stars, making smores, grilling or just relaxing in front of an open fire with friends and family. Firewood is provided at no charge to our guests.

Please read the entire listing before booking your stay. Wi-fi is available. (starlink satellite) Just turn your phone to Wi-fi calling. There is no cell service within at least a 20 mile radius until you reach our cabin and connect to Wi-fi and access Wi-fi calling. GPS will bring you the scenic country route, over graveled mountain roads. Therefore you may want to stay on the main routes if you are not familiar with our area. Contact me if you need any help with directions. You will travel up a ridge to the cabin. This is a graveled, narrow, country road up a mountain ridge. We are not close to a grocery store so you will want to get what you need before reaching our cabin. The bathroom is equipped with toilet paper and hand soap. Kitchen is equipped with paper towels, hand soap, and dish soap. You will need to bring your own bath soap and toiletries. All towels, sheets, pillows and blankets provided. Luggage racks provided.

Beautifully furnished log cabin with 73 acres situated on top of Big Ridge Mountain in the Western part of Alleghany County Virginia.
The Cabin is equipped with heating, A/C, ceiling fans throughout, gas log fireplace and an outdoor gas fire pit, washer/dryer, and TV ( StarLink satellite) with DVD player. We are pet friendly for well behaved animals but do require an additional fee for pets.

The space
This cabin is located about 6 miles up a state maintained gravel road (4-wheel drive recommend during winter months). It overlooks an old one room school house and small one room church. The road is suitable for biking or just walking through what was once a small thriving community with some of the original homes still maintained as get away spots. There are several trails on the property in the forest behind the cabin. These trails are adequate for walking or for the experienced mountain biker. Deer and turkey frequent the meadow in front of the cabin as well as the small field across the pond. This is the perfect place to get away from it all and reconnect with nature.

The location is convenient to The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs Wv (15 miles). The town of Lewisburg, Wv (23 miles), Covington, Va (21 miles), and the railroad town of Clifton Forge, Va (30 miles).
