The Robin is a wonderful getaway cozy "nest," hidden away in a wooded country setting. Turn down the lights, put on your favorite music, relax and enjoy the memorable moments. Sit on the decks early morning or evening hours and watch for deer, wild turkeys and geese, West Virginia's beautiful birds-and an occasional black bear! Two-bedroom/one full bath chalet with large indoor Jacuzzi, skylight, central A/C- heat, wood-burning fireplace, and enclosed private lighted deck with gas grill and outside dining.

Our beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of seating for our family of 4 to hang out. The air conditioning worked great, and when we lost power in a storm, the backup switched on. Phone data didn’t work for us, but the WiFi at the cabin supported all our phones including streaming movies. The location was wonderful, but it does take about 30-50 min to get to New River Gorge visitor centers. You have to pay attention getting out of the property, as there is a curve in the street just before the driveway, and cars can appear suddenly driving 55-60 mph. Bear Claw Cove
We are located directly across the road from Pipestem State Park where you can enjoy Ziplining,hiking, Horse Back riding, and more. Two Bicycles can be found in the shed to take a ride to the park along with two kayaks (take them to spend the day at bluestone lake only a 13 minute drive).This property is also very close to one of the few remaining Drive InTheaters .Winterplace is only 30 miles away. Community pool-seasonal . Pet friendly-with pet fee. Come stay in a log cabin!

Our cabin has one of the largest yards in the neighborhood. We are pet friendly please just message us letting us know you have a pet coming with you so we can approve them for your stay and send you the pet fee. We love all dogs, however we do ask that you ask our permission prior to booking and pay the dog fee.

The main level features a living room, Vaulted ceilings, Bear decor throughout the cozy cabin, flat screen TV in the living room, brand new queen size sleeper sofa, recliner, child’s rocking chair, and toys/ books for children.

The bedroom features a brand new plush pillow top queen size mattress , tv, nightstand, bear lamp, and chest of drawers in the closet. The closet also has extra blankets, pillows for the sleeper sofa, a large comforter for the sleeper sofa, and extra sheets. There is also hangers in the closet. You will also find an iron and iron board if needed.

There is also fully equipped kitchen and dining table, full bathroom/shower/ tub, and washer/dryer. We have a new Keruig that takes pods and will take ground coffee. We provide coffee pods and seasonal pods in the drawer below the Keurig.

The deck features a 2 person hot tub and outdoor patio seating area. During the evening you may see deer crossing through the yard. In the morning, you will hear the birds singing. Enjoy a cup of coffee from the deck and watch the sunrise.

The yard is very large for children to run around, dogs to play, and adults to play corn hole! The corn hole boards are in the shed. There is also a picnic table and grill around back!

Take a walk around the neighborhood. It is very safe to walk, ride your bike, go for a jog with your dog.

Deer are everywhere that early and we had the park to our selves for a few hours before the crowds. Then back to cabin for breakfast. Cabin does have a charcoal grill not mentioned in listing. Grilling steak and watching fireflies made for great memories. Pool was super clean and a nice relaxer after long hikes. We will definitely be back. Great host that graciously offered to ship a night bag we left behind, which was received a few days later."

The Whitetail is a conventional-style log cabin, homey and appealing, with two bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining area and kitchen; stone wood-burning fireplace, central A/C-heat. The Whitetail is reminiscent of the simple, tranquil country life as you swing or rock on the front porch, listen and watch for beautiful songbirds, deer and other wildlife that often wander across the meadow. Chestnut Grove at Pipestem is a country home on 3 acres with a beautiful mountain view. We are located only ½ mile from the entrance to Pipestem Start Park where endless activities await. The home has 3 bedrooms with 7 total beds, The Hibernation Station sleeping nook, and a futon couch to comfortably accommodate 10-12 guests. There are 2 family/sitting rooms, 2 full baths, fully loaded kitchen and dining room with seating for 9. A coffee and tea bar is provided in the sunroom with large windows overlooking the grounds. There is a spacious deck with seating and tables to allow plenty of space for entertaining family and friends. The deck overlooks a huge yard where you can pass the time playing yard darts, horseshoes, bocci ball or ring toss. When the sun goes down enjoy the crackle of a campfire in our designated fire pit area. In the fall guests will be provided a complimentary bag of chestnuts collected from the chestnut trees right here on the property.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking indoors or outdoors in the grill. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were soft and fluffy. The porch is amazing, we actually spent most of our visit outside on the porch. We are already making plans for a return visit in the late fall/early winter. We lived in the swings on the back porch and loved having easy access to local parks. The space
Our cabin is cozy and adorable. There are so many things to do in the area, and most of the trails to hidden treasures are low impact. Of course, with Pipestem State Park across the way, the activities are almost endless!

You have access to the house and a neighborhood pool that is just a couple blocks over.
Other things to note
This is a “tiny” home, with some smaller appliances and such in order to maximize the place. There is a small stove and fridge. There is also a small shower. The bunk beds are single mattress pads in the hallway.

Our home away from home is a peaceful setting in the tall pine trees. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch in the swing or in the rocking chairs. Or have your breakfast on the back porch.

It also boasts three porches and an outdoor living space that includes a kitchen and entertainment area, as well as a hot tub. There is an upstairs loft with a 65-inch TV and sitting area. There are two designated workstations. The cabin is children and pet-friendly. There are baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs.

- "There were a few issues that I addressed to the host. They said that they’re contacting maintenance about them. Heater in the downstairs bathroom didn’t work, issues with the internet for the tv outside, tank was empty for the fire pit, toilet upstairs was hard to flush."

• To provide host and guest liability, a deposit of $250 will be required and forfeited if any damages, smoking or pets are on the property.
