The property itself was spotlessly clean and also very quiet, which I appreciated. The kitchen had all of the equipment that I needed. The mattress was a little hard but comfortable enough. The staff was friendly and helpful although I only saw them when I checked in. There are a lot of rules particularly around where you can smoke and cook, which again I appreciated. Although the property is located on a busy road it is quite far back from the road and the bedroom was on the back side of the building, so I wasn't bothered by the road noise at all. The price was really good, you might even say affordable! At least $20 a night less than the other places around that have kitchens. I would stay here again and I think it would be really good for longer term stays too."

A little tricky to navigate to, but absolutely worth it once you get to the 'top'. We spent the majority of our time outside looking over the beautiful mountain scape and Roanoke. The trails on the property were really fun to explore which was an added bonus! Cell service is spotty inside the home, but accessible outside. You can tell there's a lot of TLC that went into this special home, and we greatly appreciate Jim sharing it with us. We hated having to leave and would certainly return for another stay!"

Reconnect with nature in our pet friendly rustic cabin on 35 wooded acres with two walkingtrails (Blue trail 3/4 mile loop and Yellow trail 1 mile loop), 5 acre meadow and large spring fed pond with bass, sunfish and trout. Beautiful classic 4 bedroom home located in a newly developed subdivision minutes away from Virginia Tech. The gorgeous Huckleberry trail runs right behind our neighborhood and the famous Farmhouse restaurant is with in walking distance from our home. Not only are you minutes away from Virginia Tech but, Radford University and all the big shopping centers and restaurants are all located within minutes from the neighborhood. You will enjoy the new custom large kitchen which is super spacious for families and friends.
Our beautiful Master bedroom has a King size bed , and master bath has both a shower and large tub. The second large bedroom features a with cal. King bed, and plenty of room for a air bed if needed! 3rd bedroom has a gorgeous Full size bed. 4th bedroom has Queen size bed. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans as well as flat screen TVs.

Originally constructed in 1992, this 2,166 foot square Cape Cod style lodge has 4 bedrooms, (2 queen beds, 1 king bed and 1 memory foam sofa bed), 4 bathrooms and a modern kitchen. Forest Service reports more than 175 species of songbirds, owls, hawks and falcons as well as an assortment of frogs and toads to include American Toads, Fowler's Toads, Northern Spring Peepers, Gray Tree Frogs, Upland Chorus Frogs, Green and Wood Frogs and Pickerel Frogs.

The home includes ample parking so you don't have to worry about “tech tow” showing up to ruin your stay. On faculty street you are walking distance to anything VT has to offer whether its ball games, the moss arts center, a campus tour, or you just want to relive and make new memories with a walk to PK’s or TOTS. This home is located a short walk away from Torgerson bridge entrance. If you are traveling into ROA you could easily skip the delays and pains of a rental car if your business is on campus as you are walking distance to everything except the CRC, we would recommend UBER or a Bike for those trips.

If you just want a quiet place to relax while visiting the home is also just far enough off main street to be a quiet resting spot to recharge after a long day working on campus. The home is surrounded by foliage and borders the entrance to Han park so the noises of the student nightlife are not something you have to hear inside the block and mortar walls.

We do consider long term rentals and provide discounts for business travelers traveling on an extended stay. Please no requests under 25 years old.

Farm house recently refurbished with the charm of wood walls/ceilings/floors -- some painted, most natural. Old House sits in the middle of a 400 ac working farm -- 2/3 woods, 1/3 pasture -- w views, streams & miles of lovely walking trails.

The space
The farm has a rich history dating back to a Patent Deed signed by Governor James Monroe in 1800 (before he became President). The history has been researched and documented in a 120 page document with pictures and maps -- showing the evolution of the land and the families who have lived here -- James and Sarah Lawrence, Dr Edgar Lawrence, Put Simpkins, Miss Jane, Miss Molly ...... The original part of the house was built in the 1860's, with a large two-story addition in 1912. The house was entirely renovated and upgraded in 2013 to meet modern building code standards. Unfortunately, insurance does not allow the old stone fireplaces to be used.

The barn includes pickle ball court, basketball hoop, and ping pong table.

We are at an elevation of about 2,500 feet, generally with mountain breezes. The relatively cool nights, screened storm windows and cross ventilation in each room typically makes A/C unnecessary -- but we have fans and A/C just in case.

The farm is very quiet and serene. It is located in Floyd County on a gravel road a few minutes off a main road. It is about 20 minutes from I-81 and Christiansburg, 30 minutes from Blacksburg and VTech (ask for fastest directions), 45 minutes to Roanoke, and 18 minutes to the Town of Floyd.
The nightly rate is based on a party of up to two people. Additional guests (over the age of two) are charged at the rate of $17 per night per guest.

There is a beautiful creek you can visit about a mile down the street. On days when there hasn't been much rain its great to bring the kids and the dogs to walk in the cool water and skip stones. Message me and I'll send directions.

If you are bringing a pet we will provide bowls for food and water and waste bags for #2's. Please be mindful and clean up after your pets. Do not allow your pets on any of the furniture at any time. If your pet causes any damage there will be an additional fee for repairs/cleaning.

This 2-bedroom, 1-bath apartment once housed the President of the Farmers Bank of Floyd, which was the building's first floor (the vault and safe are still intact). It has been painstakingly restored to its former glory in 2023. The original 120-year-old timber frames and wood floors have been preserved, while the electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and drywall have all been replaced. The result is a stunning apartment that retains its 18th-century charm while also offering all the modern conveniences.

Guests will have access to the entire top floor of the Old Bank with its high ceilings, large windows, and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. A small desk is located in the corner of the living room, and it is perfect for working or doing some light reading. The second story balcony is a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

The Presidents Suite has 120-year-old timber frames, walls painted a soft white, a comfortable wingback chair, and hardwood floors are polished to a high shine. - The land is adjacent to Falls Ridge Nature Preserve, situated on the North Fork of the Roanoke River. There are multiple hiking trails, caves and waterfalls to enjoy. Dogs are not allowed inside the Preserve, but there are plenty of other trails for them on the property. And there is the river where you can fish and swim (and occasionally float-ask us about our boogie board water hike in the summer!)
-We are 30 minutes from the Appalachian Trail and Virginias Triple Crown (McAfee's Knob, Dragon's tooth and
Tinker Cliffs) as well as the Cascades in Jefferson National Forest. We are 10 minutes off I-81.
-Rv'ers: please not we have a small bridge that may be challenging for larger sizes. Moving vans and UPS trucks
cross it no problem but no longer vehicles may not want to consider.
-You will hear the train come through a few times per day. Thy do not blow the whistle when coming through.

The house takes inspiration from its 100 year old Virginian homestead roots, with vintage furnishings, rugs, and art throughout.

The library is filled with top to bottom books. To enjoy them, there are reading nooks throughout the house, or relax on one of the rocking chairs or swings on the large wraparound porch.

While classic in style, the home has been modernized in every way, from its high-speed internet to all modern kitchen appliances, including a beverage station with coffee and tea.
