The Hideaway House is perfectly sized for up to 8 guests! With an open main area, guests can visit together either and then retire to one of the 4 bedrooms in peace.

Guests will have access to the entire home except for the unfinished basement.

“Our little house on the corner” was built in 1954. We totally remodeled it this spring for short term renting. The upstairs is now a master suite and two bedrooms are on the first floor. You will not be disappointed with the style and decor. Everything is new but the hardwood refinished floors. If you are traveling through Gallia County for a wedding, reunion, party or just vacationing you will enjoy our home. No other persons will share the home with you. Bob Evans Farm Restaurant, Merry Family Winery, GreenValley Gathering Place are all just minutes away. Downtown Gallipolis is just a quick drive too.

The daily rate is for two adults and each additional adult is 25.00 per night. There is no charge for children under 16. There is a small one time cleaning fee of 35.00 for the downstairs and an additional 20.00 if upstairs is used also. This too is a one time charge.

The space
This cozy, rustic, cedar-walled single-room cabin directly overlooks the Ohio River. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and toilet. Outside there is direct access to the beach & water, as well as a large open grassy & landscaped space overlooking the river, with a fire pit, swing set, and flagstone areas with covered tables. The property also borders a deep creek, with lots of trees. The cabins & yard are mostly separated from the road by the restaurant (no longer open to the public with the exception of serving the B&B cabins). Two parking spaces available per cabin (please reach out ahead of time should you want more spaces). Locally-sourced coffee provided in the cabin. The room is heated/cooled primarily with a mini split unit.
Guest access
Guests can access the river, beach, and large yard at their leisure. There is also a landing spot for boats about four miles south (KH Butler) and a cute little town about a 10-minute drive north. Free onsite parking lot is available. We live in a very rural area, so there are a variety of dwellings and lots of patches of woods around.
Other things to note
We offer a contact-free, COVID-friendly checkin. Very kid friendly. Very pet friendly. Smoking & vaping permitted on cabin deck and outside public areas, but not in cabins please. We ask that breakfast orders be placed by 9pm the night before. Our breakfasts are homemade and we provide locally-sourced coffee in the cabin. Smart TV in cabin. Free Wi-Fi.

This charming 4 bedroom home is conveniently located, a mere 100 yards, from the University of Rio Grande campus. It is walking distance to plays, sporting events and graduation. This is also a wonderful, centrally located, home base for motorcyclists touring the area.

We’ve recently added a pond that will soon breed fish for fishing. Enjoy the quiet evenings overlooking the West Virginia Mountain View while roasting marshmallows over a fire inside our preserved 100 year old open barn. You can also take in the fresh air on the 10x30 two tier deck patio built for gathering with your favorite drink and favorite people.
We realize many like to travel with their 4-legged family members so with that said, we accept well-behaved pets. We only ask that they remain on the floor while Inside. We also strongly suggest a crate or carrier while you’re out to prevent any nervous pet accidents.
As a side note: There is a resident feline named Spooky who lives on the property. He’s very friendly and welcomes love and food (under the kitchen cabinets).
For an additional fee, Our retreat also includes access to two all-terrain vehicle‘s, a golf cart AND a UTV to make getting around more exciting and accessible. They are available for a daily or weekly rental. All use of the ATVs is at your own risk and will require a valid drivers license and liability waiver that must be printed and brought along upon check in. -**some gas will be provided but you may need to purchase fuel during your stay.

Please note: Safety is of upmost importance to us therefore, we have external cameras on the property that are capable of recording sound and motion.

This 2 bedroom cottage offers an excellent place to unplug and relax on the Ohio river here in Kanauga/ Gallopolis Ohio area.
There are festivals and events during the whole year like the Point Pleasant river regatta and the Bob Evans farm festival the Mothman fest and many other festivals in the area.
This cottage offers a front row seat for the fireworks over the river 4th of July and Labor Day weekend.

While the rural and serene setting of this site feels secluded, will be only five minutes from the bustling city of point Pleasant or Henderson,West Virginia. The region is also home to numerous smaller towns and Amish communities for visitors to discover. The nearest major city is Athens, Ohio, which can be reached in just under one hour by car.

- "Creekside was just as advertised. My family, with kids (13, 5, 4), stayed for 5 nights in early January. The location was perfect- off the beaten path, but not too far from town. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to not need to venture out during your stay. I loved the view of Raccoon Creek from the main windows and deck. Even in the cold, my kids were big fans of the tire swing behind the house. The house was beautifully decorated for winter. Everything was put together with the guests in mind. The only thing I would note, not as a negative but as a FYI for future renters, we use Verizon for cell service and there was zero service in or around the house, but the WiFi was strong the entire stay so it wasn’t an issue for us. Check-out procedure was easier than I have ever had at another rental. All information for house, local area, and check-out was neatly organized in a binder that was easy to spot in the kitchen at check-in. We would 100% recommend to others and stay again ourselves!"

Seclusion and peace best describes this little secret near the Rio Grande area. Woods of trees, flowers and wildlife all around. All around this cabin you can be amazed as you sit on the decks or in the atrium. Inside you will find a spacious great room, two full baths, laundry and three bedrooms. Wi fii is strong. Over the hill you will find a pond, gazebo and fire pit. Path will be marked soon. Sorry no hunting is permitted here on the land. This place is great for weekend get-a-ways from Friday-Sunday. It is also great for the working person through the week. I fell in love with this place and knew right away it was a must for one of my places. The decor isn’t all fancy smancy, but it fits in this cabin beautifully. If you want to be taken away for a day week or month this place will. We now have fast Wi Fi! No animals at all!

This is a cozy little cabin, nestled right off of Highway 35. It’s perfect for anyone coming through to Rio Grande college events, short stays as you’re passing through, needing a great place to hunt for the season. Just five minutes from Rio Grande, 15 minutes from Jackson and 20 minutes from Gallipolis.

There is no bathroom attached. It is directly across from the cabin. There are also vending machines in the laundry room. We have monthly guests who stay on the campground as well!

We are located just off Route 35 past Loves truck stop. It’s a quiet two bedroom apartment equipped with anything you need. Hidden Valley drive across from our place is a quiet 3 mile dead end road to walk or jog or just clear your mind :)

The space
The entire cottage is for your use. A very large fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room includes a Roku stick for those who travel and have their own logins to Netflix and Hulu and etc. We also have Philo Live 65+ channels and Frndly tv also live tv. All amenities, iron and ironing board. Snacks , drinks plenty of coffee and teas are available. If there is anything you forgot or need just ask! We’ll make sure you have what you need!

Parking for two comfortably. If more vehicles are needed, please reach out to us before arrival. There are four duplexes. We live in one, one is rented out to a full time tenant and two are Airbnb’s. We have been in business since 2017.

Hardee’s is 1/8 of a mile from our little cottage. Also within a few miles is Bob Evans, Twinkleberries coffee shop/restaurant and Merry Winery. Lots more to offer in the area. A book has been placed in the apartment with local information (restaurants,shops, activities) We hope to see you!

Very good home feeling. 936 Sq feet of living space. Keypad for entry 24 hours. Full kitchen, laundry room, very quiet place. Everything you need. You don't have to pack anything iron provided, shampoo soap hair dryer etc. Security cameras on site. Near Merry Family Winery, Bob Evans Farm, Hardee's Love truck stop, Rio Grande college. The historic Dean William A. Lewis house moved from its original site in the 1970's to its current location. This charming 4 bedroom home is conveniently located, a mere 100 yards, from the University of Rio Grande campus. It is walking distance to plays, sporting events and graduation. This is also a wonderful, centrally located, home base for motorcyclists touring the area.

Our 1954 Cape Cod style home has been totally remodeled. You will find character greeting you in each room. Located in Gallia County it is central to all of the area happenings. Green Valley Gathering Place, Merry Family Winery, Rio Ridge, Rio Grande College and the Bob Evans' Farm are a few places. In Gallipolis you will find our beautiful park along the river. The Colony an old converted movie theater, will be top on your list to visit. Again I pay cleaning fee and taxes from my end.

The space
We have owned our home for many years and have always rented it out on a yearly lease basis. After the last renter we said no more and began our new venture to do a total remodel for short-term rentals only.this is the first of 14 places in Gallia County. No pets, smoking in property nor parties.

We really don't have any rules with the exception of no smoking in our home, nor do we accept pets. We ask that you leave it in the same condition as you found it. Remember it is an old home so it does have flaws, as I do. We did try to make is as charming as possible, like us.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. “Cabin in the Woods” translated to Caban yn y Coed, Welsh, is located in the woods and surrounded by beautiful flowers everywhere you look. Very close to Rio Grande and to US 35 you aren’t even aware of it. Quiet and relaxation is awaiting here. A variety of decor is staged in this sanctuary as a cabin should be. Country it is with various noises and sittings of wildlife where you will enjoy nature all around. No smoking

The space
The space is included in the woods also. There is however no hunting in this land. Also, no pets are permitted.
Only an Airbnb fee to them. I pay taxes and clean fee.

Guest access
You are welcome to walk, or hike on all property. No four wheelers at all, nor hunting of any kind. Beth

I’ll inform you of a few hidden gems on the property. No smoking inside! No parties permitted ! Pleas register all guests. Price is for two people and then 25 for each additional per night for as many as four more making 6 total. This makes things more affordable for fewer guest. Plus you pay no cleaning fee, nor taxes.

We also have a upper unit available for more guests!

This listing is for "Buckeye Haven " and "Buckeye Porchside" Retreat.Great for large groups.This house has a separate top Unit and bottom Unit. Each unit has 2 Bedrooms, 1 full Bath, a full size Kitchen, and Laundry. There is sleeping for up to 12 people. Relax in the hot tub and build yourself a bonfire in the fire pit!
