The location is a very chic residential neighborhood a few steps away from the parc monceau. the closest metro are Monceau on line 2 and Mirosmesnil on line 9 and 13, both are a 5-min walk from the apartment.

The apartment is very airy ( 150 square meters or a little more than 1500 square feet),has high ceiling and lots of French windows most of them opening to a balcony, facing on a quiet street with virtually no traffic at night or on a courtyard. it offers a large living room with plenty of comfortable couches and armchairs. there is a large tv screen with international channels. The fully equipped and well stocked kitchen with a fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher,stove opens to a large dining room where you can comfortably eat at 8 or more.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed ( 160*200 cm or 64 * 80 inches ). The second bedroom has twin beds. all bed materials are new, very comfortable and pillows are synthetic. one bathroom is composed of a large bath tub/ shower a toilet and a washer and a drier. The second bathroom has a shower and a separate toilet.

There are plenty of closets and the apartment comes with free phone to 100 countries including North America and Australia, free WI-Fi, free cable TV. All windows close with shutters and therefore all rooms can offer complete darkness.
For an additional cost of 15 euro per day, there is a possibility of renting a parking space which is situated in the basement of the building and reachable with an elevator .

Taking a right through the ceremonial double doors, is the open-plan living and dining area. KITCHEN
The fully-equipped kitchen is separate and accessible through both doors in the living room.
There is a small square table, a couple of chairs and a baby high-chair around it, by the large window, creating an intimate casual dining area. RECEPTION ROOM
This sumptuous room is a combination if iconic character and elegance with practical luxury. It boasts three floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of seating space with a contemporary quilted leather sofa, a suede two-seater sofa, two fabric armchairs and two occasional chairs around a coffee table. There is a guilt- framed mirror on each side of the room, one directly above an equally ornate fireplace. - "Pros: the location is great. The size of the apartment is adequate. Nice to have a washing machine. Very quiet. Cons: half bath with toilet tiny, with the smallest sink possible which also had a fast leak when the water was turned on so that sink couldn't be used - half the chairs in living room/kitchenette area were in deplorable condition and should be thrown away -room in the basement smelled musty/damp and had 3 tiny sofas appropriate for a toddler to sit on but not good for anyone to sleep on. In the listing the picture shows a sofa bed in that room which did not exist . - lights in kitchen did not work or flickered. - sofa bed in upstairs bedroom did not have pillows so comforters had to be used as pillows. -Some outlets pulled out of box in wall and unsafe to use. -Unseasonably cold at night and because there was no heating it was very cold overnight. -sofa beds especially the one in the main floor extremely uncomfortable. -wifi not reliable -booking was for 4 people but only 4 bath towels and 2 hand towels were provided. -Not enough toilet paper and no trash bags except 1 provided for a 9 day stay so we needed to buy. Summary: Expensive for what was falsely advertised and quite inadequate in many aspects. Do not recommend and will not stay again."

The space
The apartment is on the fourth floor of a five floor apartment building. Actually, all the buildings in this part of town seem to be limited to five stories. The building has a nice entryway and an elevator. There is carpeting on the staircase. It tends to be quiet at night as this is not a tourist venue. And...I chose to live here because it is simply a conventional middle class environment, not a bohemian or quaint or old fashioned place which you would find in some other neighborhoods (Montmartre, the Left Bank) because often those places are poorly heated and have atrocious kitchen and bath facilities and poor lighting.

Other things to note
The Gare St. Lazare next door is a commuter train station, largely for professionals who live in the chic western suburbs. This also means that nearby are loads of modest priced neighborhood french restaurants and trendy international food places as well which service them at lunch time but are uncrowded in the evenings. (A major tech giant has its home office just down the street...) There are two Parisian cafes just around the corner from our building, two pastry shops, two Chinese takeout places, etc. and the train station has a couple of mini supermarkets which are fully stocked so grocery shopping is right at hand. And, while the station offers lots of transport options for going anywhere in Paris, this neighborhood is also in easy walking distance of Opera, Madeleine, Concorde, the Louvre, the Champs Elysees in one direction, and Montmartre in the other direction. If I had to compare, the location is a bit like living in Manhattan within walking distance of Central Park, convenient, central, urban living one of the world's greatest cosmopolitan capitals. :)
