Distinctive, secluded, hillside waterfront retreat nestled in the trees with unparalleled views of Lake Bridgeport located in Runaway Bay, TX. This 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home was built for entertaining and includes a large game room with a pool table, shuffleboard, foosball table, and poker table. The poker room can actually be used as a 5th bedroom with a sleeper sofa. Enjoy the sunrise/sunsets overlooking the lake while lounging on the deck, concrete patio or platform over the water. The upper deck extends the length of the back of the home and can be accessed from the Master Bedroom or the Living Room. The lower patio can be accessed from the Game Room or Poker Room and includes an outdoor hot tub. The main living area combines the dining area, kitchen and TV area creating one large area to gather for family and friends and has great views of the lake. The home sleeps a total of 15 with three king beds, a twin over queen bunk bed, queen sleeper sofa, 2 chair beds, 2 twin mattresses and a sleeper sofa. Your own private boat dock is available to tie your boat or watercraft to or use for swimming and fishing. There is also a sidewalk that takes you down to the shoreline. There is also an outdoor combination grill that uses propane on one side and charcoal on the other. The charcoal side includes a smokebox for smoking meats. This home is like being on a small ranch with total privacy from your neighbors.

My adult sons are avid boardgame players so the game room areas downstairs were a huge win and the lakeview was amazing as well. My daughter in laws love to float in the lake and visit. Unfortunately the lake was about 9 feet below average so we didn't do much floating off of the dock this time. Thank goodness for the hot tub right off the back porch with a beautiful lake view. The public boat dock was just a short distance from the house. We were able to secure our boat on the dock throughout the day instead of trailering the boat daily. The owners were great about communicating with us. Quite an enjoyable stay. Looking forward to staying here again!"

Sitting lake side on a deep slough of Lake Bridgeport, this home offers great water views from two decks, quick access to the water, a shaded tree covered lot, and ample space.

We offer contactless check-in and check-out; however, owners are local and will be available throughout your stay to serve your needs.

For security purposes, the exterior is monitored by two cameras. Two cameras in the front record video & audio of front yard, door and driveway. The cameras record video and audio and provide us the ability to communicate verbally in case there is any issue at check in. There is a motion detector inside and sensors on doors and windows to let us know if any doors or windows are left open, but there are no interior cameras or cameras in private gathering areas outside. There is also an alarm system, but it is disarmed during your stay other than smoke detectors.

Land of the free and home of the brave! The good people of this small town still believe in freedom, and that's why we love Bridgeport! With that being said, there's no homeowner's association, and you can expect a variety of housing types in the neighborhood from mobile homes to very nice, two story homes like ours. If you are picky about that sort of thing, this might not be the house for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for a sparkling clean vacation rental on the lake with GORGEOUS views and plenty of room to roam, we'd love to have you as our guest!

You will have private access to the entire home.

Our home has an open living area with a stone fireplace and comfortable seating for your group to gather. The dining room will seat 8 people, with additional seating for 3 at the bar. Or, take your meal outside to one of two patios, both hosting fabulous views of Lake Bridgeport. We also have a open kitchen with quartz countertops, all new appliances and everything you need to fix and serve meals for your group. The house also boasts a fabulous entertainment room with pool table and other gaming, as well as entertainment center with 75" TV and surround sound system.

The home sleeps a total of 12 people. To keep base rental rates as low as possible, we charge $25 per guest per night for each guest exceeding 8 people. This helps us cover the additional wear and tear that occurs with big families.

Downstairs, one bedroom hosts a full bed, another bedroom has a Twin over King bunkbed and an en suite half bath. These two bedrooms share a hall bathroom with a stand up shower. The third bedroom downstairs is a bunkroom located at the back of the gameroom with 2 sets of twin bunkbeds. On the mezzanine, is a Queen guest room with an en suite bathroom. This bathroom has a shower/ tub combination. Additionally, there is a sleeper sofa in the gameroom and an extra fold out twin XL mattress in the Guestroom 2 closet, which can be placed wherever you need to accommodate a single sleeper.

The master suite upstairs has a King size bed, flat screen TV, and a large en suite bathroom with shower and a Jacuzzi tub. Master suite guests will also enjoy their own private sun room/ coffee station leading out onto a deck with fabulous sunset and lake views.

On the exterior, we have a fire pit and a large charcoal grill. Lake access is available via stone steps down the hill to our private dock. Our dock is a 12x16 swim platform with mooring hooks for tying up your boat. There is also a public boat launch one mile from the house.

Our home is stocked with everything you will need. We have linens, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and basic spices. We also have 2 Keurig machines, one being a Keurig duo so you can fix a pot of coffee. You just bring the food, charcoal, drinks and enjoy.

Unwind at Lake Bridgeport. This beautiful lake house features private neighborhood beach across the street, private boat dock and swimming off the back yard. Lake view from front and back porch. Public boat ramp less than 1 mile from the house. Kiddos can spend hours and hours playing and digging in the sand, looking for rocks and shells and watching minnows swim. Enjoy the sunset from the beach.

This is a quiet, private neighborhood. Perfect for a relaxing family vacation. No parties, no fireworks in back yard. No vehicle parking on the beach. Parking in front of house and in carport only. Life jackets recommended when swimming off boat dock. Fishing welcomed off boat dock. Boat and wave runner parking on beach and off boat dock. Sidewalk along the lake, off the backyard is great for fishing. There are steps on the east side to walk down for swimming. Caution when jumping off sidewalk into the lake, there are very large rocks all along the sidewalk under water.

- "This is our second year we booked this house with 6 adults and 4 grandkids we had lots of room to play games and enjoy our mornings and evenings after coming from the lake and beach area A couple things - someone had thrown a bunch of broken glass into the water at the beach so we tried to pickip as much as we seen which was a small bucket of broken beer bottles so we made everyone wear swim shoes when at the beach area which was a bummer - when using the microwave and stove top at the same time the circuit breaker kept kicking off so we were careful not to use at the same time - we fished off the dock and the we kids caught allot of perch-bluegill-catfish and had a blast It would be nice to have a better fence around the dock so the kids are more safe We enjoyed the house-lake very much just think a few minor repairs would even make it better Last year the beach area was in great shape this year looks like no one is taking care of it and was a major reason we booked it so the kids could walk a 100 yards and play with adult supervision when not in our boat or fishing Love the lake and house overall"

Guests have plenty of storage space in large walk-in closet and six-drawer dresser. A writing desk and chair are provided for those not able to disengage from work responsibilities.

The secondary king bedroom offers lake views and a chest of drawers and closet for guests belongings.

The bunk bedroom offers two (2) separate standard twin-over-queen built-in bunk beds with a chest of drawers and closet for guests belongings. Kids toys and books provided.

OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES

Start the day with fresh coffee on the 600 sq ft deck that stretches the length of the home with panaromic lake views, multiple covered & uncovered seating areas, including three single chaise chairs for sun bathing.

Head down to your covered dock for fishing, swimming or other lake activities. Bring your own boat for sun-kissed afternoons on the lake; end the day with ease as you tie off. A kayak & paddle board provided.

Make use of the propane grill and cookout. End perfect vacation days roasting marshmallows around the wood-burning firepit. Wood not provided.

Located on the West Fork Trinity River, Lake Bridgeport is nearly 12,000 acres, 170 miles of shoreline, and 85-feet max depth, and known for large, small, white & plametto bass, catfish, crappie & sunfish fishing. A public boat ramp is less than a mile from the home.

Other outdoor activities abound nearby, including hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking.

Less than a mile from Runaway Bay Golf Club & Resort.

A 15 minute drive to Brookshire's for groceries or to quaint shops, eateries, and distilleries and breweries of downtown Bridgeport. Recommended nearby activities provided prior to check in.

Please Note: CLEAN, DRAIN AND DRY your boat, trailer, livewells/bait buckets, and other gear before traveling to another water body to avoid spreading zebra mussels.

This lake is a source of water for Eagle Mountain Lake & Lake Worth. Be sure to check water levels, as they can fluctuate an average of 12 feet annually and may impact the ability to access the home to tie off your water craft at the provided dock due to Highway 380 bridge. Guests should plan to put in and take out each day after use.

If fishing, state-law requires you have a license unless under age 17. Buy your license online. 100% of your license fees go toward conservation efforts and secures the future of fishing in Texas.
