The owner was so easy to work with and contact. This will be our first option everytime we go home from now. I would suggest to the owner to spray for bugs a bit more often because it is a vrbo. Also I made the suggestion to leave the beds undone with the clean sheets and bedding folded that way each guest coming in knows they have been cleaned. Other than that we had a nice stay. Pets are welcome as long as they get along with other animals. We have 3 dogs and a cat. The dogs are very friendly and will visit you during your stay as they have the run of the property. The vast majority of our guests mention the dogs (pug, lab and labradoodle) as being very friendly and great with kids, but if you are not a dog person, this is probably not the property for you.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise.

Each campsite includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed inside (each site is different, see photos for the exact setup). Larger groups can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided (you’re welcome to bring your own camping gear too). You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.

Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Occupancy: Max occupancy refers to the total number of campers allowed at the site during your reservation. We welcome campers with larger parties, but you may need to bring extra camping gear of your own in addition to the tent that is already provided. Please plan accordingly.

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry!

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

This basket will be curated based on your food preferences. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menus can all be provided in advance. Baskets start at 30.00 per person and priced on number & selections.

Enjoy a relaxing moonlight or sunset massage. Wild life in the vicinity curious about the peaceful energy emanating from the area. Romantic evening for 2, wine and charcuterie board.

Generator Rental - $50
Honda EB 2800i generator and diesel will be delivered and set up for your arrival.

Deep Tissue Massage - $80
An amazing deep tissue massage is a great way to conclude a long day of hiking and exploration. Two therapist can be reserved for couples.

Thai Yoga Massage - $90
Unbelievable two hour (2) massage incorporating all the benefits of both a guided hands on Yoga session and massage.

Other Things to Note:
An interesting addition to your time could include having licensed massage therapist arrive on site for private massages and/or yoga sessions under the Texas Sky. Private guided ranch tours, picnics delivered, hunts, wildlife photography outings, sporting clay and target shooting, archery and stocked fishing tank excursions are all available. If you wish to skip the grocery store- your groceries can be awaiting your arrival. Please be aware that this is a ranch so there are spiders, snakes, raccoons, skunks, opossums, wild hogs etc. Bug Spray, snake boots & Sunscreen are a good idea depending on the time of year you come to visit. (Please note that we are very close to Lake Brownwood... If you wish to park your boat here we have a covered location away from the campsite) The activities listed below are for both the ranch and the lake. Not all activities are on both the property and nearby. Most extras can be accommodated with an additional fee. We do have a full equestrian barn if you wish to bring your own horses. The barn is not adjacent to the tent. Please do not cut down any any trees or carve anything into them. Please clean up after your pup. If a burn ban is in effect by the county please do not have any open fires. There will be a Coleman propane cookstove for your food preparation.

Interaction with Guests:
In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you’re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces.

To limit the potential impact of community spread during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are encouraging our campers and hosts to adopt self-check in procedures whenever possible. To make self check-in easy, Tentrr provides a map to your site and driving directions in an email sent out a few days before your reservation. Please refer to this guide to get to your campsite. As a reminder, it is good practice to give your host a head's up on your estimated arrival time a few days beforehand. There were no tours, hunts, or extras offered. We did not have the property to ourselves as listed. All the Coleman equipment was old or non-existent. The owner did apologize and offered a 50% refund for the incorrect listing but never followed through with the refund and didn’t respond to further communication. They did bring extra equipment, water, and propane which we really appreciated. This site would be great if listed correctly and priced accordingly. I will be checking back and if the listing ever gets updated, I will update this review."

Long story short, my mother, who was an amazing Texas Country woman that loved her kids and grandkids, passed away in 2018. As I tried to find my new normal, I decided to buy a fixer upper and renovate it. I finished it. Then I furnished it with a few items from her house as well to give it that extra touch. You are not going to find top of the line items here that promise any kind of temporary getaway from your life. What you will find is some hand me downs that should remind you of your childhood, a few thread bare blankets on the bed that came out of one of her closets that she probably bought at a yard sale in 1979 ( ya'll know what I am talking about,) a seasoned cast iron skillet to cook your eggs in that also made countless chicken fried steaks, bright stars at night, chickens running by the fence, and a opossum that lives in the backyard. To me, these things should feed your soul and provide some sort of comfort and peace you need. I love that intention and hopefully you do as well. The house is located in the small town of De Leon, Texas, located off of Hwy 6 next to Dublin if you are traveling. There is also plenty to do if you want to come and visit and stay awhile.
There is plenty to do in the area as far as dining, shopping, and museums. You can visit visitdeleontxdotcom for more information. De Leon is also located between Comanche and Dublin. Both areas are rich in history and have quite a bit to offer. Please be advised that the house is located on a dead end street in a quiet area. Both neighbors beside of you are elderly and disabled and we are working with them to improve their properties. However, they are super nice people and we would appreciate it if you would please keep the noise down after 9PM as to not disturb them. Also, if you can follow the rules on checkout, I don't charge a high cleaning fee. Basically you will need to strip the beds, make sure the dishes are washed and put up, the trash is taken out, and try not to wear shoes in the house when you come in. I know that last one is a bit petty sounding, however, if you ever get to spend 3 hours retrieving grass burrs out of carpet and furniture, you will understand. These things hurt when stepped on with bare feet. Also, I keep coffee in the house for those of you that like to have a cup to relax or start your day. PS- Fur babies are definitely welcome. Just please be sure to clean up after them and do not leave them unattended.
