This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a perfect getaway that accomodates 3-5 people comfortably. You'll love the one-acre lot and the beautiful view of of the lake across the street. You will probably see deer, herons, eagles and other wildlife especially during early mornings and dusk. There's beauty here all four seasons!

Monticello, Indiana, is a quaint little town that has plenty of restaurants and things to do. It's about a half-hour from Lafayette, home of Purdue University, 90 minutes northwest of Indianapolis and two hours from Chicago.

Our favorite activities in the area: Parks, Delphi Trails, White Horse Winery, Indiana Beach, Purdue University sporting events, Drive-In Movie Theater, Wolf Park, Tippecanoe Country Club, and Festivals.

There's plenty of recreational items to borrow: Two kayaks, two bikes, hammocks, gas grill, cornhole boards and bags, and other games. And did we mention there's your own private Pickleball Court nestled in the woods?! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with great views.

In the evenings we recommend relaxing around the firepit and walking across the street to see beautiful sunsets over the lake. We'll even chop some wood for you.

There's comfortable living spaces with great views from every room. We have Netflix, Youtube TV and Wifi but hope you don't use them too much when you're here. All the bedrooms are spacious and there's a full bathroom on each floor.

The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking but there's plenty of great restaurants around too. Many of them have entertainment such as live music, karaoke, and trivia contests.

Pontoon, kayak and paddle boards were great. Lake pad was a hit! Only suggestion from group was remind guests to bring beach towels. I am one of a group of 8 college friends who vacation together every summer along with our kids, but this being the 10th year of vacationing together, we decided to do a trip without the kids and this was the perfect spot for our group. We took advantage of all the incredible amenities at this place—hot tub, fire pit, boat dock (easily rented a pontoon for a day from the boat rental place directly across from the property), screened-in porches, gas grill, floats and pool noodles for swimming, even nice robes for lazy mornings spent reading, drinking coffee, and playing board games. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the appliances we needed to cook our meals at the house. Heidi is a very attentive host and the house has so many little things to make it more comfortable, such as sound machines in the bedrooms and dimmers on almost all of the light switches. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while enjoying the lake and time together with friends… now we just have to bring the kids back to enjoy it with us!"

Having the washing machine and dryer in bathroom was handy with our large group. We could just put used towels in wash and run when full. We didn't like the rain shower shower head personally, but that is the current style. Two bedrooms did not have closet or anything to put clean clothes in, and not alot of room for bags on floors. Only one bathroom was a bit of a struggle for the large group. Window air conditioners were nice in upstairs bedrooms to help regulate the temp (as heat rises). Lots of parking, exp since we bring a trailer load of toys. Great location...easy walk to amusement park."

There are a couple of restaurants with boat docks on the lake, just take the boat to dinner instead of driving! Afterwards, troll the lake and you may find live entertainment you can enjoy from the water. Boat fee is $400.00/day, discounted to $368.00/day for guests. Rentals for 3 days or more are discounted even further!

A peaceful retreat for those who would like to get away from the hectic work week or city life. The cozy interior of this cottage is welcoming and comfortable for traveling guests to feel right at home. The space
Large front room with cozy, comfortable couch and love seat. Large family room with wet bar and sleeper sofa. Both of these spaces have fire places, and can accommodate air mattresses, of which we have three (one queen and two twin). These are high quality, self-inflating/deflating air mattresses, and are very comfortable. Queen sized air mattress can be used with sleeper sofa.

Large master bedroom includes separate sliding door access to the deck, a large closet reserved for guests, and beautiful floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water front.

2 Full beds in second bedroom are bunk style with one on top and one on bottom.

2 Standard bunk beds in third bedroom (top bunks in 3rd bedroom are for children only).

Plenty of closet space available throughout home.

Large covered deck is accessible from dining room and master bedroom.

Kitchen contains large copper griddle, oversized (deep) skillet, double burner, crock pot, microwave, and a large convection toaster oven, but currently has NO CONVENTIONAL OVEN.
Weber propane grill is available for use upon request.

Unique tranquil get away. Built in 1931 is a very authentic rustic cabin , full of love and gives you a feeling of what it would be like to live in 1931 yet a few luxuries for todays world. The cabin is small & cozy, queen size bed in bedroom, full size sofa bed , 2 small futons in loft that would sleep 2 kids. Sleep 6 if 2 of guest were kids or young teens . Close by Madam Carroll ,Indiana Beach, Summer Beach House beach & Tall Timbers. 27 miles to Purdue !

There are stairs to climb to get to the main door of cabin. Inside cabin theirs stairs to climb to get up to the the loft . Great for kids and young teens. Games, books and toys. I would not advise under 5 years old to stay in loft. 1 bedroom with a tv as well as a tv in the living room. Tv in loft , all have Roku and Internet available. This is a perfect weekend getaway or a summer week of fun! Nice area to walk. The surrounding homes are fancy as they come while others are pretty ruff around the edges. Beautiful view of the lake from the cabin porch.
Outdoor fire 🔥 pit , nice place to relax .
To get to the lake follow path on side of house and across the road, between tan house and fence. This is where the easement is to get to the dock and Lake Freeman . It is not large but is suitable for fishing , swimming and can park a boat. The water is deep so be safe and have fun. Unfortunately at this time the stairs need to be replaced to the easement . You can still get to it but it is a slightly rugged down hill area to get to the path.
I love my cabin and have decided to share this unique place.
If you would like to use the fire pit or fireplace $10 for firewood will last 1-2 days. Please let me know ahead of time and I will add the charge or you may request it. Thank you so much Lois

Our newly renovated Studios have everything a couple needs at a great value. They have access to an outdoor deck with picnic tables and grills. The Studios are located near our fire pit and fishing bay.

Our full-sized Studios each have a small kitchenette with a sink, countertop, microwave and small refrigerator as well as a full-sized convertible sofa.

The studios require exterior stairs and a ramp to access.

Relaxing Lake House retreat perfectly situated on a 1/2 acre wooded lot with views of the lake! Minutes away from Indiana Beach, White Oaks, Madam Carroll, Oak Dale Dam and many other local attractions. Kick back on the wraparound decks while you bbq or watch the gorgeous sunsets. Enjoy a morning cup of joe while listening to the sounds of music-birds in this treehouse like setting. After a long day on the lake enjoy a nice soak interior jacuzzi tub big enough for two! Great winter getaway too!

This house has amazing views year round! With 3 levels of decks, a fire table, charcoal and gas grill, fire pit, lounge chairs, 2 kayaks, 3 paddle boards, and plenty of swimming space right off the dock, this house really has something for everyone. Close to golfing at TCC, more than corn at Indiana Beach, and plenty of great restaurants nearby!

The space
Our house has two bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and one with a queen-sized bed. The living room has two couches and a sitting chair. One of the couches has a pull-out bed. We also have a queen -sized blow-up bed behind that couch. We have extra sheets and covers in the white cabinet in the living room. We do have a window ac in both rooms and in the living room. We do keep some condiments in the refrigerator that guests may use. Outside, we have two levels of decks and a dock area. Guests may use anything except our boat. However, we do keep life jackets and our Lilly pad on the boat so guests are free to use that. The shed down by the dock has a fake lock and you will simply pull it open to get to life jackets, floats, oars and other toys. Please make sure everything is put back where you find it.We have a gas fire pit and gas/charcoal grill. We do try to make sure the propane tanks are full. If they aren’t, let us know. We are on well water. There is a water cooler in the kitchen that you can use. If the water jugs are getting low, please let us know but we do monitor that. We have two dogs so this house is very pet friendly. We even have dog toys, a crate, and a dog bed. Please keep in mind that we do live here most weekends so we do keep some personal items at the house but try to keep them out of the way. Our house is perfect for hanging out outside and guests enjoy swimming right off the dock. We have two jet ski docks that can be used and guests can bring up to two boats and tie off on either side of our dock. Our house is our happy place and we hope it is yours too! Please note that we do live here most weekends so we do leave some swimsuits, toiletries, and some food there. We do clean before we leave or between renters.

Private, dedicated parking is conveniently located just behind the home for easy arrivals and departures. Adjacent to the cottage, you’ll find a well-stocked shed filled with everything you need for a perfect day on the water or by the shore. From a large cooler for your drinks and snacks, to fishing poles, life vests, and a variety of chairs, we’ve made sure your lakeside adventures are fully equipped.

Guests also have access to a shared dock, where our personal boat lift is located. If you’re planning to bring your own watercraft, please contact us in advance to confirm lift availability. For additional options, there are public access points and local marinas nearby for convenient boat launching.

Other things to note
Please note that the stairway leading from the parking area down toward the road is part of a shared easement, which provides lake access for the neighboring home located just behind and to the left of the cottage. While you may occasionally see someone using the path, most residents typically access the lake by driving down and around via golf cart, so foot traffic is minimal and your privacy is rarely impacted.

Fishing off the pier. If you stand on the deck and look a bit left at the water you will find the stairs across the street. The period shared between 4 cottages. Feel free to fish, swim or lay on a raft!

Deck fire out cannot be moved! There is a fire proof mat underneath. Please have small enough fire to fit securely in the pit with screen on at all times!

This house was built in 1888 but was completely remodeled in 2017 to update all the amenities and to revive the beautiful historical details. This house is situated on 75 acres of woods and farm ground near Lake Shafer in Buffalo, IN. It is approximately 10 miles North of Indiana Beach. It is secluded enough for a much needed get away but located close enough to enjoy all the activities the area has to offer. This house is great for families and for a couples get away.

The space
This property is over 75 acres and includes farm ground, woods and home site. The house is 1800 sq ft and has four bedrooms and one bathroom. It was built in 1888 and the details of the time period still remain. This house was built before building codes and sophisticated tools. The original stairway is made of wood and could be considered steep for some. The three upstairs bedrooms are all connected however each have their own door that can be shut for privacy. The main level has a bedroom as well as the bathroom. The Suites are situated closest the resort pool and have everything a family needs.

This Suite is a great value and can sleep up to four people comfortably. It offers a living room with a convertible sofa, kitchenette, bathroom with a shower, 1 queen bedroom and one smaller bedroom with a full-sized bed.

The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, small cooking appliances, countertop, and storage cabinets.

This unit is located on the bottom of a 2-story building and requires exterior stairs to access.

The space
The house has sleep spaces for 11 adults and one baby.

There are three bedrooms. On the upper level, there are two bedrooms and there’s another bedroom on the lower level. The bedrooms on the upper level are two very different sizes. One is really large. It has a queen size bed and a twin size bed with a twin size trundle. The other upstairs bedroom is smaller. It has a full-size bed and a twin trundle. The bedroom downstairs has only a queen bed. The couch also folds out as a full-size bed.

Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The one for the large bedroom upstairs could be considered communal if you wanted because it is accessible from the hallway without actually entering the bedroom. But it is technically off the walk-through closet for the large bedroom.

There is also a half bathroom on the lower level (the fourth bathroom).

You are welcome to bring additional air mattresses, If you need more room. there is space in the large bedroom upstairs to put them.

Other things to note
This home is tucked into the woods at the end of a steep driveway, offering peace, privacy, and a scenic natural backdrop. Given the setting, you may occasionally notice a spider or web, moth, or other harmless insect — a small tradeoff for such a beautiful location.
