This Country Cottage is situated in a quiet and beautiful wooded area southeast of downtown Kansas City. It is on one level, has key-less access and private parking. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sofa sleeper in the living area to comfortably sleep 6. Guests will enjoy a full, well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, and outdoor living space. With an open layout it has a spacious and welcoming feel. The large master bedroom has a king-size bed, 2 closets, and master bath with a shower and jetted tub, as well as 2 sinks. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a desk and closet, and access to the second bathroom, which has a shower. There is also access to the second bathroom from the hall. Both bathrooms are large and have large counters and mirrors and lots of storage.

The Cottage is separated from the residence of the owners by a 3-car garage. There are no additional homes on the property.

Beautiful private log cabin suite, conveniently located just east of the Kansas City Metro with great highway access. Close to wedding venues: Lone Summit Ranch, Powell Gardens and Stonehaus Winery. All the comforts of home! The suite features a king bed, sitting area with gas fireplace, private bath with shower, whirlpool jetted tub and kitchenette. The kitchenette includes a full-size refrigerator, small stove/oven, microwave and sink. Electric grill on private deck.

The cabin has 2 separate and private units for guest usage. There is a locked door between this suite and the other 2 bedroom unit. If both units are rented then the door can be unlocked so you can access both sides.
There is a lower level that houses a med spa. The lower
level does not have access to the Studio Suite or the other 2 bedroom unit.

The cabin has three levels. The upstairs which is bedroom two and can only be accessed via the unit. The main level which contains the living, dining, master, kitchen, two decks. On the main level, there is also another unit, Studio Suite, that shares a locked interior door with this unit. Both units on the main level are private with individual entrances. The Studio Suite is available to book as well. The lower level, which does not have any access to the main level, is occupied by a med spa.

The cameras are outward-facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras record video and sound when motion is detected

- "Excellent. It's a little ways from town but nav took us right to it. Great place nice enough that you would be proud to have someone come for dinner. The warm loaf of fresh bread on the counter was a great welcome." - "This place is beautiful and welcoming. It was such a comfortable and lovely home away from home. David was an excellent host and very accommodating. There are chickens and roosters, sheep, goats, cows and a crazy goose on the farm. He provides feed for you to feed the animals and can pet them, except for maybe the goose, he’s the guardian of the barn. Our grandchildren loved it. If we are back in Kansas City, we will definitely book this amazing entire home again. He even provided fresh eggs in the fridge. I would give it higher than 5 stars if I could."

The fees are priced per bed/bath/floor. If only a few people stay and limit the use to the main floor then the price is $160 per night. This home can sleep 8-10 or more people depending on the sleeping arrangements and space booked. We charge more per person.

This is family oriented, private, beautiful brick home located three blocks from historic 3rd Street and 291 highway. Two bedrooms (king size bed, double bed, two twin beds) and two (full and 3/4) bathrooms are on the main floor. Patio room has a futon sofa. The additional floor includes two bedrooms (double and twin bed) and a full bathroom (when included) but is an EXTRA booking..

The kitchen is fully furnished and ideal for family dinners and events.

The additional bedrooms and bathroom(s) available per request for an additional fee (basement apartment).

Internet and wifi included.

Dogs may be approved per a request but must be leashed when outside and crated (while left alone) and additional fees may apply. Dogs should be kept off of furniture and carpeted areas please.

- "Our family of four stayed at Oak Haven for 6 nights to visit families. The property looked just like the photos and very spacious for us. The WiFi worked well and husband and I were able to work and had zoom meetings without any problems. Each of my kids have their own room. There is a king bed, a desk and a chair, and a TV in each room. We found it convenient to have usb outlets everywhere in the property. The living room with the high ceiling made it look extra spacious. We used the kitchen to make breakfast every morning. We checked in late and the night we checked in happened to be a very warm day. The AC wasn’t working well. We texted mgmt and they sent service to fix it in the morning. The AC was nice and cool after. Our family had a good time at the property and will stay here again."

This listing can be rented on its own or in additional to the Westwind House if a group needs more beds/bedrooms or space. The apartment is completely private and secure but there may be others onsite during your stay.

The furnace and AC is not controlled from this space but we provide an electric heater with a thermostat and fans. It is usually a bit cooler in the basement than the house it warms up easily. In the summer it is the coolest area of the home!

Most importantly - it was quiet. Property owner always responded within a few hours or less. Because it was winter, the apartment was a little cold. When I asked, the owner was happy to turn the thermostat up - she could do this remotely. It is too bad most of my trips here are less than 5 nights, or I would book this property on my shorter trips too. There was no one renting the upper portion of the house though, and I can't review how that would change the noise level."
