The County Commissioners have established a .03% "Bed Tax" for all rental properties in the county. The amount for your stay will be included in correspondence sent to you immediately after booking and again in the check-in instructions message sent approximately 2 days before your arrival.

We recommend 4 WD or AWD. The driveway is steep with a limestone surface. You can make it without 4 WD, you'll just have to get a run at it when you come out. If there is snow or ice conditions, 4 WD or AWD will be required.

7 miles to Ohio University, cozy and secluded cabin on private road. Renovated in 2019 our 2 bedroom cabin has 4 porches with great country views. The bedrooms are each furnished with a king size bed. Each bedroom has access to a personal porch. To access the bedrooms guests must walk up steep-ish stairs. We offer wifi internet and a smart TV for entertainment, bluetooth speaker, preloaded super Nintendo also provided. The cabin has a washer and dryer, a pretty well equipped kitchen and a 3 piece bathroom with shower. The yard is great for star gazing and has a firepit, wood provided upon request. WE ARE NOT A BUG FREE ENVIRONMENT. We clean like crazy and spray regularly but the cabin has been in the woods for 30 plus years. I promise you will see ladybugs, stinkbugs, maybe a wasp, or anything else that is in nature..

Perfect for a family get together, workshop retreat, or just a group of friends. We work with other farms and local producers to provide fresh and healthy farm to table meals and other handmade products, including complimentary soaps. We are 15-20 minutes from Athens and Ohio University. The house features two master bedrooms with private entrances, and two spacious lofts. All four rooms have queen or double beds with fresh linens, blankets, and fluffy towels. The west bedroom has an additional pull-out futon. The east side has an extra single bed. Outdoor activities at Strouds Run State Park and Desonier State Nature Preserve are a 20-minute drive, and Hocking Hills is an hour away. And, don’t miss the nationally recognized Meigs County Farmers Market, only 30 minutes away.

The property includes side yard and back yard with a large deck overlooking the Sand Creek which is about a quarter mile from the Ohio River. The deck has benches, picnic table, and fire pit. This deck is perfect for coffee-sipping each morning and then dinner parties at night! There is a small grill for cooking.
The nearby Riverfront Park has river access for boating and nearby kyack/canoe rentals.

Our property would be great to host a family reunion or other event. There will be an event charge for events that have extra people for the event day, not the overnight guests.

The outside fire pit and out building with a deck overlooking the river was a great spot for hanging out at night. The only issue we had was the upstairs toilet was not working at its best and the owner said it was most likely getting replaced. Detached garage transformed into a private oasis. Space is a studio with a full kitchen, full bathroom, one queen bed and two twin beds all linens included. Guests are allowed to enjoy the pond across the street and surrounding land. Located two turns off of US 50/32, 15 minutes east of Athens and 35 minutes west Parkersburg. Also clean, always comfortable! No pets allowed.
