This cabin isn’t just a rental , it’s part of our family history. Built in 1983 by my husband’s grandparents, it’s been the backdrop for decades of lake memories. In 2021, when his grandmother could no longer live here alone, we purchased and renovated the home, designing every detail with families in mind.

Our children’s favorite space is the Bear Bunk Room, perfect for sleepovers when friends or cousins visit. Throughout the home, you’ll find little “family Easter eggs” in the décor, adding a personal touch to your stay.

There’s something magical about this place. The peace and stillness are addictive, the lake views are unforgettable, and mornings watching the sunrise over the water are pure joy. We’d love for you to experience it, too.

- "The hosts were very responsive and the cottage was very well equipped. The canoe and a proximity to a marina were really nice as we wanted to do some fishing. The entire complex is well maintained, but even an entry to the lake’s beach requires a daily amenity. fee. The only problem was that the air in the cottage was not fresh when we arrived and we discovered some dirt on the windows frames when we tried to open the windows. We are sure a cleaning had been done before we arrived, but it seemed that it had been done a couple of weeks before we arrived. We also did not like the wall to wall carpets because, again, they did not give us an impression of being dust free. Overall, the price was not that high, so we were satisfied."

It rained about half the time we were there due to the affects of a hurricane hitting down south, but instead of feeling cooped up inside we loved every second of family time in our cozy cabin! And any non-rainy time was spent either roasting marshmallows over the idyllic backyard fire pit, enjoying the brand new hot tub next to the deck, kayaking on the lake, or swimming in the awesome kid-friendly community pool!!! The host was wonderful and extremely responsive, making sure all our needs were met and answering almost immediately when we had any questions. Tucked away in the desirable Big Bass Lake community you’ll have a sense of community and still have a private place to come back to. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, library, clubhouse with arcade, pickle ball courts, playgrounds for children, lakes, and a delicious new eatery , Passing the Thyme, for take out or quick bite by the pool.

If you plan to stay at the cabin mostly you will have plenty in the cabin to keep you occupied and relaxed! We have three naturally decorated bedrooms with new beds and comfortable bedding for ultimate relaxation. All bedrooms have TV’s. The master bedroom located on the third floor has a full bathroom for ultimate privacy! The other two bedrooms are located on the middle (main) floor with a full bathroom between them.

The shared spaces are open concept with comfortable furniture. The main living room has a large reclining sectional with a warming wood burning fireplace and large screen TV.
Kitchen and Dining area are located right next to this space making it perfect for spending time together. Kitchen is fully equipped, spices, coffee, cooking needs, plates, cups etc.

The loft is located on the third floor outside of the master bedroom. Beautifully lit with natural lighting from all of the windows, this is the perfect spot to sneak away to with a good book! It has a futon that opens to a full size bed and a twin bed for more sleeping options. Also has a TV

There’s a half bathroom located in the basement. On the warmer days, there’s access to the backyard from the basement leading out to a nice fire pit surrounded by beautiful nature!

There is a wrap around deck with sliding doors leading to the main floor living area and also main entrance. Enjoy your morning coffee taking in the sunlight and nature. You will find a propane fire table for some nighttime relaxation if you should so chose, and there is a propane grill for your use as well. On the outside we have a ring security camera for safety reasons and spot lights, your privacy is important to us and rest assured the house is all yours for the duration of your stay, except for the passing through deer of course!

A note about the ductless systems: All three bedrooms have their own units that run on the same system, so all must be on AC at the same time or on Heating at the same time but you can adjust the temp as you please. The same goes for the living room units.

Lake Natalie, Big Bass Lake, and Larsen Lake are all located entirely within the Big Bass Lake Community. Recreation Centers with an arcade, game room and sauna.There are both indoor and outdoor pools and a bathhouse as well as swimming beaches on the lakes. Indoor pool opens after Labor day, Fall through winter. In the event of extreme weather outside they usually open up the indoor pool in summer.

There is a marina and boat rentals, but only electric motors or boat without motors are allowed. Kayak, canoes, and sailboats are a great way to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beautiful mountain waters.

Big Bass Lake has ice skating at the ice rink area when Lake freezes over, and downhill ski and snow tubing at the resort’s private hill area. must bring own ice skates.
