While the house isn’t fancy (which isn’t what we were looking for anyway), it had everything we needed and more! For outdoor enthusiasts, we're in hiking/rafting/biking country. We're 1 mile east of the Colorado Trail trailhead, and just 3 miles up creek from the Arkansas River where it has carved out historic Brown's Canyon National Monument.

This well-appointed home has all the amenities. It was furnished with a family in mind, but is equally comfortable for a couples’ getaway. The charming décor is rustic with a touch of retro.

The homey living room has a river-rock fireplace, comfy couch, club chairs with ottomans and an electric recliner. Two six-foot windows face the mountains. The living room also has Roku, DVD player, plenty of books, and a collection of board games and jigsaw puzzles.

The kitchen is fully furnished with two sets of dishes, pots and pans, bakeware, mixer, crock pots, rice cooker, blender, electric griddle and more. The kitchen window above the sink looks onto the creek and aspen. Next to another six-foot window is a pine dining table which seats eight, and comes with placemats and bandana napkins. Right off the kitchen is a full-sized washer and dryer. All linens are furnished, including beach towels for water activities.

The large upstairs master is 20’ x 20’ and has a vaulted ceiling and king-sized bed. The room also has a ceiling fan and a sliding glass door which leads onto a deck with bench-seating and mountain views. The decorative (non-working) fireplace is set with candles for a romantic escape. At the top of the stairs is a full bathroom. Towels are provided of course.

The main floor has a full bath (tub/shower).

The main floor features a wrap-around deck with a gas grill and a patio table with umbrella overlooking the creek. On the mountain side is a bench glider and side table, perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine as the sun dips behind the Continental Divide. The area borders millions of acres of National Forest wilderness for hiking. The cabin is just minutes from the best rafting in the west, fly fishing, mineral hot springs, trail rides and golf. The peacefulness of this location, the views. the little dome only a 10-minute walk to Wrights Lake.
This cabin is approximately 800 square feet, with a loft, with a queen bed and futon couch. Downstairs or on the main floor is the kitchen area, living area with a fold out couch chairs and the bathroom "with standard bathtub and shower". There is also a laundry room. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster, pots and pans along with cooking and eating utensils.

The water in this "Little Dome", is from a well, the well water is approx. 104 degrees at the well, It is natural warm water from the geothermal in the area.
I suggest you bring drinking water, although some drink it, it just is what it is.

Cabin price based on 2 people all extra guests and pets are $20 more per pet or guest per night. Make sure you add pets as guest and verify all before arrival. This is your home and others in the mountains, surprises are good but not the type that is to sneak one over on Jeff or the other guests on the property. Like you tell me one pet and got 5, or one guest and I arrive to find a tent and a camper. Thank You, All and Jeff

If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best, you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box, you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $40 per night for each and not $20. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. It took too many years to fix these places up, never getting paid and now, I just wanted to be treated as I ask. Thank You Jeff and all honest guests!

The Home

The master suite includes a roomy Aspen log king bed and a bathroom with a lofted ceiling and views of Mt. Ouray in the distance.
A second over-sized bedroom upstairs adjoins the master and provides two twin beds and plenty of additional space.
The main level bedroom includes an Amish crafted log queen bed with an adjacent full bathroom.
For those mixing work with pleasure, the downstairs office is complete with a classic wood desk, futon and Starlink powered WIFI.
The centerpiece of the dining area is the large live-edge dining room table, ideal for hosting family and friends. Seats 8.

The property is situated on a mesa to the west and a private wooded area to the north with 360 degree vistas.
Spring, summer, and fall are perfect for outdoor eating and entertaining. Make use of the gas grill and relax by the fire pit.

The Mesa Antero neighborhood offers private access points to National Forest hiking and biking. A detailed map is available for reference.

Monarch Mountain is 30 minutes away for an authentic Colorado ski experience.

The cabin is approximately 800 square feet. The bathroom is in the bathhouse, not the cabin. the bathhouse and "outhouse" are about 20 yards from the cabin. The cabin is one large open room with two foldout sofa sleepers, both are queens. There is a sliding curtain that can be used to isolate the foldout couches for semiprivate sleeping area. It has been used as a sleeping/living area, gathering room for all guests, wedding receptions, dances, or private get together. There is a ping-pong table, an oak bar, dining room table and a marble countertop. There is an open outside deck located on the back of the cabin, and a lounge deck on the front.
THERE IS A CENTRAL BATHHOUSE AND An Outhouse located on the property that can be used by all guests in the Cottontail, Thumper and Rabbit Den, The Wild Hare has its own bathroom yet when the water is shut off in the winter months the guests can use the outhouse or bathhouse. The Bathhouse is attached at the end of the yellow timed cabin (Cottontail). It has one shower, one toilet and a sink. There is also an outhouse located at the opposite end of the property (see property layout) for those not wanting to wait for the toilet at the bathhouse. PLEASE, be respectful of all guests and leave clean. Please remind children to do the same.

If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best, you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box, you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $40 per night for each and not $20. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. The notes through out the place told me how it worked and was plenty. Place was clean when i arrived took pictures as well as after i left. If you want 5 stars hotel experience not this place it is hands down rural living but the location was amazing i could be lost for days enjoying the everything fron fishing, hiking, sight seeing. We were in the area for a 50th wedding celebration at Mount Princeton Springs resort. The kids particularly loved the fire pit, the hot tub, and the pool table. The adults thought the kitchen was very well equipped, the house was clean and very comfortable. one adult sleeping in the kids room on the double bed thought that the mattress was a little hard. We were in the master suite and found that bed extremely comfortable, and the en suite bathroom quite accommodating. We all enjoyed listening to the creek beside the house, and several of us went for hikes in the area. The house has a very strong religious theme that non-Christians might find a bit overwhelming, but this was not a problem for us. We would certainly stay there again."

The southern facing front deck, with comfortable patio furniture, is perfect for morning coffee, or you can sit in the backyard shade to enjoy the cool mountain air. A picnic table and a gas grill, along with an outdoor fire pit make the back yard area a perfect spot for evening meals. Please note that we adhere very strictly to the posted fire bans in the area. If fires are not permitted, you will be notified prior to check in. We provide a propane fire pit to our guests when there is a ban in effect. You will forfeit your deposit if you choose to ignore the fire bans. Ignoring the fire ban puts not only yourself at risk, but also the lives of our entire canyon community.

In the winter, a 4WD/AWD vehicle is required. Our county road is plowed, and with enough notice, our driveway will be plowed as well. But a 4WD/AWD vehicle will make it regardless.

This is a "Pay it Forward" cabin, I did my part you do yours, "Thank You"

The cabin is approximately 700 square feet. It has a seperate bedroom with a QUEEN bed, a living room with a fold out couch (QUEEN size), a dining room and a snack bar in between the living room and the kitchen. There are two doors that exit the cabin onto the deck, one from the bedroom and the other from the living room. Once on the deck there is a door into the bathhouse area. There is a wood stove for heat and a few small electric heaters (please conserve electricity). Turn off electric heaters when leave. Thank You.

Each cabin is fully furnished with refrigerator, microwave, popcorn popper, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffeepot, toaster, electric hot plates, electric skillets, crock pot and other misc. kitchen equipment. NO full-size oven in this cabin, only cabin with oven is Wild Hare and the Little Dome.

Outside there is a gas grill, charcoal grill and a fire pit.

THERE IS A CENTRAL BATHHOUSE AND An Outhouse located on the property that can be used by all guests in the Cottontail, Thumper and Rabbit Den, The Wild Hare has its own bathroom yet when the water is shut off in the winter months the guests can use the outhouse or bathhouse. The Bathhouse is attached at the end of the yellow timed cabin (Cottontail). It has one shower, one toilet and a sink. There is also an outhouse located at the opposite end of the property (see property layout) for those not wanting to wait for the toilet at the bathhouse. PLEASE, be respectful of all guests and leave clean. Please remind children to do the same.

For Water, there is a well on the property, but I suggest you bring a few gallons of drinking water, if you do not like well water. The well is shown on the property layout.
Off-season 'Winter' is when water is shut off to the cabin and Bathhouse.
This is from Oct 15th till Approx till May 1st.
If the water has been shut off to the cabin, verify water is still on at the Bathhouse that is attached to the Cottontail.

I do have internet upon request, I want people to spend time together not by texting but by bonding as the old days. I will give you the password, but I do not want downloading movies or streaming music, it will slow or shut down from overuse, business only.

If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best, you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box, you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $20 per night for each and not $10. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. Pets can't be left in the cabin by their self at any time. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. It took too many years to fix these places up, never getting paid and now, I just wanted to be treated as I ask. - "OMG. This place is so enchanting at least in the summer being able to hear this dream like stream from most any room INSIDE the house. This lovely spacious home is less than 50ft from the stream. Of course, being summer, we had windows open to allow the fresh summer daytime 71 degree air to flood the spaces along with the enchanting sounds of the stream. Swing in hammocks or sit by the stream or on the multi level decks surrounding the home… Hot tub was well maintained and is a whole new experience listening and feeling the energy of this mountian pouring by while the heat of the tub and swirling waters take your cares away. No, I am not related to the owners just a guest with my family but wanted to leave a detailed review of those considering as I have stayed in places where the experience was subpar wishing I had more info before I booked. The beds were very comfortable . Everything very clean. Parked SUV rental in garage… that was nice too. Now you must know this home is a mountian home so that mean well water that doesn’t produce the high pressure showers that some are used to but you won’t mind that too much as you will have the water pressure to do the job says my teen age girls and my wife with long hair….plenty of hot water supplied by oversized propane hot water heater. Internet was good and allowed me to work while there using my laptop and our iPhones and droid phones on Wi-Fi calling. There are various tv’s with one very large screen tv with ROKU remotes that i used by log in to various apps to get news and such. Everyone enjoyed Netflix as well. If u want to get away from it all or an enchanting place to work or write a novel , this might what u are looking for . Enjoy!"

About this space
This is it! The quintessential log cabin experience w/ all the modern amenities. Nestled right in the center of the famous 14k Collegiate Peaks with over 250 feet of Chalk Creek River frontage and only 10minutes from the Mount Princeton Hot Springs, Saint Elmo Ghost Town, and Endless Trails along the Continental Divide. There are tons of trout in the backyard river if you're an angler ;). This cabin has a wonderful history and was originally built by a local geologist & has many unique features. We just added a HelloGoodLands wood burning hot tub (*better for longer stays as hot tub requires effort by guest to start & maintain)

The space is open split level cabin. Very spacious upstairs bedroom loft w/ lounge. Downstairs is the Cozy Master bedroom and bathroom. Mid level is the kitchen & living room. Although bedrooms are not enclosed they feel very private.

Aggressive dogs are not permitted.

The cabin is approximately 700 square feet. It has a separate bedroom with a QUEEN bed, a living room with a fold out couch (QUEEN size), a dining room and a snack bar in between the living room and the kitchen.

There are two doors that exit the cabin onto the deck, one from the bedroom and the other from the living room. Once on the deck there is a door into the bathhouse area. There is a wood stove for heat and a few small electric heaters (please conserve electricity). Turn off electric heaters when leave. Thank You.

THERE IS A CENTRAL BATHHOUSE AND An Outhouse located on the property that can be used by all guests in the Cottontail, Thumper and Rabbit Den, The Wild Hare has its own bathroom yet when the water is shut off in the winter months the guests can use the outhouse or bathhouse. The Bathhouse is attached at the end of the yellow timed cabin (Cottontail). It has one shower, one toilet and a sink. There is also an outhouse located at the opposite end of the property (see property layout) for those not wanting to wait for the toilet at the bathhouse. PLEASE, be respectful of all guests and leave clean. Please remind children to do the same.

For Water, there is a well on the property, but I suggest you bring a few gallons of drinking water, if you do not like well water. The well is shown on the property layout.
Off-season 'Winter' is when water is shut off to the cabin and Bathhouse.
This is from Oct 15th till Approx till May 1st.
If the water has been shut off to the cabin, verify water is still on at the Bathhouse that is attached to the Cottontail.

Each cabin is fully furnished with refrigerator, microwave, popcorn popper, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffeepot, toaster, electric hot plates, electric skillets, crock pot and other misc. kitchen equipment. NO full-size oven in this cabin, only cabin with oven is Wild Hare and the Little Dome.

Outside there is a gas grill, charcoal grill and a fire pit.

I do have internet upon request, I want people to spend time together not by texting but by bonding as the old days. I will give you the password, but I do not want downloading movies or streaming music, it will slow or shut down from overuse, business only.

If you bring extra guests (people or pets) and did not include when booking it is best, you inform Jeff immediately and /or use the drop box on the property located at Jeff's house. If you do not inform Jeff/use the drop box, you will be charged double when leave. This will come out of your damage deposit. That is $40 per night for each and not $20. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. (OR) you will lose your deposit. I am tired of people not the pets trying to get over on me and me letting it happen. It took too many years to fix these places up, never getting paid and now, I just wanted to be treated as I ask. Thank You Jeff and all honest guests!

This cabin is a seasonal cabin, yet it is rented in the winter with water off per the Bunnylane Cabins rules.
Water is turned on the first of May and Off the end of October. The pricing approx. 50% less per night, there is an outhouse on the property, a bathhouse attached to the Cottontail cabin. Many go down to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs for soaking, swimming, bathing, showers.
In the Winter months I suggest you bring firewood, leave wood boxes as found. Wood available to purchase on site if need be. If you use all the wood and do not replace it will be taken from your deposit. Thank You

There is a spacious outdoor patio with seating for you to enjoy the views and wildlife and a gas grill and propane fire pit are provided. This is a private apartment unit; NO SHARED SPACES! It has its own entrance, parking, patio, etc. Due to the size of this unit as per county regulations, there is a 2 person maximum for this unit. If you are a party of two who need separate beds, the loveseat can be made into a twin sized bed; if you'd like this done for your stay, please message me when booking. This is a downstairs unit. There is an upstairs unit (completely separate apartment) which is run as a month to month rental, so during your stay there may be tenants in the upstairs unit. Please respect their privacy and be aware that the patio located in front is for your use. The upstairs deck is for the use of the tenants upstairs. There is room to park one vehicle directly in front of the house. Please park on the left-hand side of the driveway (there is a sign "parking for downstairs" indicating exactly where to park). To exit the driveway, you can circle around the shed.

There are two fireplaces to cozy up to with a good book (of which we have plenty for you to read), and million dollar views that will make you never want to leave.

THE LAND:
Our ranch has numerous hiking trails weaving in and out of trees, alongside seasonal creeks and into peaceful meadows. Relax in our bench swing overlooking the mountains, take a nap in our TreePod hanging hammock, practice yoga as the sun comes up, make s'mores at our outdoor firepit, or play a round of horseshoes. Perhaps most popular of all, meet and interact with our animals!

THE ANIMALS:
If you've never met or had dinner with alpacas, you're missing out. We've built a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining area, which includes a handcrafted dining table with seating for 10, overhead cafe lights, an outdoor bluetooth speaker, and best of all: fencing that allows you to hangout with our alpacas, llamas, goats, and chickens! They'll all come running over and watch curiously as you and your loved ones share a meal you'll be telling all of your friends and family back home about.

Certified by the National Wildlife Federation, our ranch provides a safe haven for all kinds of animals, with a combination of pastures, forests, and seasonal streams. Dogs are always welcome to explore the ranch with you! We have a fully-fenced backyard (separate from the livestock), as well as a doggy door and dog bowls. We kindly ask dogs not be allowed on the furniture or beds, and not be left unattended unless in a crate to avoid any destructive behavior due to separation anxiety. We ask this in lieu of charging any pet fee, as we absolutely love dogs!

The space
Immerse yourself in epic mountain views of towering peaks and sunny meadows at one of the best glamping campsites in Colorado.

The tiny house features 2 lofts with a queen bed in one loft and full bed in the other. There is a full kitchen with a hot plate, mini-fridge and small bar dining table. It also has radiant floor heat to keep the house nice, warm and cozy on those brisk nights. There is also a large couch/bed downstairs that can be used as a bed.

This house is only has running water during the summer months (May-September) and there is no hot water. However, no matter the time of year, the toilet is not connected to water and is a bucket toilet that uses disposable “wag bags” that can be thrown in the trash. There is a shower but it’s only operational in the summer months, as mentioned above, and does not have hot water.

The exterior space has large deck with string lights and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the unreal views.

The ranch is pet-friendly, we welcome your furry companions!

Guest access
The ranch is 35-acres for you to explore and enjoy. However, please be aware that we do operate another rental site on the property. However, they are spaced out from one another.

Even if there are other guests, you are more than welcome to explore the entire property, we just ask that you be respectful of other people’s areas and keep noise to a minimum so everyone can enjoy the solitude up there.

Other things to note
The site is mostly off the grid, while electricity and heat are always available, water is only available during the warm months from May-September. Water is not potable and only for cooking washing hands and showering.

Because of the remote location, we operate this as “self service”. This means no cleaning fees, however, guests are required to bring their own bedding and drinking water. Additionally, guests will need to clean the rental and remove their trash before checking out.

The tiny house sleeps 4 people in a queen bed and full bed.

Because we're in bear country, we cannot provide a cooking stove or grill outside.

Wood burning camp fires are not allowed. Please only use propane fire pit provided. Guests must bring their own propane for fire pit. It uses a 20lb propane bottle (the same bottle that connects to home BBQ grills).

BUGS, CRITTERS & DUST:
Please understand that this is a tiny cabin in the middle of a ranch field and it is impossible to keep all critters/bugs or some dust from getting in. You might have some bugs and dust in your cabin, there is just no way to avoid this. The good news is the critters can get out as easily as they get in. When you arrive, if there are some bugs in there, please open up the door and allow the breeze to carry them out. 


Cell service is usually available on the property, depending on carrier.

Please take precautions for bears and mountain lions.

Keep food in bear-proof containers or in your vehicle.

Absolutely no firearms or shooting is allowed.

Do not litter or leave cigarette butts.

Please pick up pet waste since it can build up and bother future guests.

The blue tiny house getaway is located on the Deer Valley Hot Springs property. This tiny home is fully equipped, so just show up and relax. While at Deer Valley, you have access to all the ranch amenities, including our geothermal-fed pool and hot tubs!

Pool & Hot Tub: Hours are 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, except for Mondays. The pool will close at 7:00 PM for cleaning.
Our pool and hot tubs are open year-round. Hot tubs may operate on a rotating schedule, with one occasionally closed for maintenance and cleaning. The pool and hot tubs are shared with other guests on the property. Like other hot springs in the area, we treat our geothermal-fed pool and hot tubs to maintain cleanliness and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests. The pool and hot tubs may be covered to preserve the temperature. Guests will be responsible for uncovering and recovering the pool.

Check-In:
Upon arrival, please follow the signs directing you to the office. Our office hours vary depending on the season and occupancy. If the office is unstaffed when you arrive, a check-in packet with all the information you’ll need will be waiting for you on a magnetic board.

Pets: Pets are not permitted in the Blue Tiny House. We do have other dog-friendly cabins on property. Check out our other listings for pet-friendly accommodations.

Guests have access to all ranch amenities, including the geothermal-fed pools and hot springs, multi-use sports court, cornhole, communal fire pit, and hiking trails.

The space
The main level has an open kitchen, dining, and living space along with laundry, full bath, and two bedrooms (both queens) one featuring a en suite bath with shower and double sinks. Upstairs has a bedroom (two double beds) with desk space, loft area with desk space or for games, full bath, and a bedroom (king) with the best views.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin. Outside there is ample parking and a large yard. The yard is left natural and does have native plants which tend to poke. Although there is ample space, please be respectful of the neighbors and wildlife. There are two locked closets, these are used for the owners and cleaning staff.

Thrilled to welcome your furry pals (up to two dogs)! Prior to booking, touch base with us for our pet policy. A $50 fee, covering extra cleaning time, is processed via Airbnb.

As we lack a fence and share space with local wildlife, kindly keep your dogs leashed or under voice control. To maintain cleanliness, we request pets stay off furniture and beds. Dispose of waste in the garage bin.

DOUBLE LOVE CABIN
Do you love Hot Springs, Hiking, Rafting, Biking, 4 Wheel Driving, or just kicking back to beautiful and tranquil scenery. Nestled along the bright and brilliant Chalk Cliffs with Mt Princeton’s majestic peak rising above is the Double Love Cabin. Deer, Elk, Moose, and Antelope frequent this area; a wildlife viewing area
is located minutes from the cabin, but chances are good they will greet you at the cabin.

The space
The cabin is a bit rustic but is well appointed for your stay. As you enter the cabin, you will find the main living area, a living room with a fireplace and a queen futon and the kitchen. This is a well-equipped kitchenette with Refrigerator, Cooktop, Microwave/Air Fryer/Convection oven, Coffee Maker, Toaster, Blender and all the cooking necessities.
Ascend the steps to find the main bedroom with a king- size bed and full bath. Continue through to a comfy covered deck to enjoy the sights and sounds of your surroundings. Access the second bedroom and bath down the stairs. This area has a queen size bed and a twin bed. There is a full-size washer and dryer as well. Outside you will find a combination gas/charcoal grill with smoker if you are an outdoor chef and a picnic table. The cabin base prices is for 2 guest. Please make sure extra guests and pets are pre approved and listed on your reservation, $25 per guest/pet.

Welcome to Nathrop where outdoor adventure and stunning mountain views await you. This spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bath home offers the perfect setting for families, couples, or friends looking to make special memories together.

The primary bedroom features a comfortable king bed with a Simmons Beautyrest mattress, a walk-in closet with ample storage, an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, and a private deck with direct access to the hot tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has a twin bed each with beautyrest mattresses, plenty of storage space and thoughtfully decorated. The second full bathroom is conveniently located off the hallway and has a bathtub and double sinks.

The living room is cozy and comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains (often including deer and elk!) and a large TV - ideal for movie nights or relaxing mornings. A wood burning stove will warm your hands on chilly mountain evenings. Our pest management company is available 24 hours a day should an issue arise during your stay. No refunds will be issued without an inspection and approval by our pest control expert.

Welcome to the Windsong Casita! (On IG @windsongcasita) Our little adobe house is overlooked by an array of 14,000 ft mountains: Mt. Antero, Shavano, Princeton & Tabeguache. We have been coming to Chaffee County, for 15 years and decided it was time to carve out a spot of our own. Soak up the morning sun and delicious views with a cup of coffee before you head out for your mountain biking, Monarch Skiing, or day hikes. Return home for sunset chats on the patio. Curl up w/ a book & chill.

The space
Our house is a true passive solar home. It catches the sun's warmth in winter and stays cool in the summer. (With electric heating in each room, but rarely needed). The thick concrete walls keep an even temp indoors year round. The best part of the house though is the views. They make your jaw drop, they literally never get old. Enjoy privacy and unbeatable views, while being located midway away from all that Salida and Buena Vista have to offer. We wanted to offer a place that is kid friendly, as we know how hard it can be to find accommodations when they are in tow. You will find toys, books, a Pack'nPlay, and stroller to make this easier.

There is a master bedroom with a private bath. A second bedroom with a direct connection to a shared bath, and a flex space/room that has a super comfortable
Murphy Bed. This Flex Room has weights, and yoga mats for squeezing in a workout, should you need to keep up your training schedule.

The kitchen has crockpot, toaster, Kuerig, and a double oven. There are two living spaces, one has a TV great for watching Netflix and our collection of old movies.

But really the house is about the views. Getting that dose of inspiration at the beginning and end of each adventure is what this place is about. If you don't go home revived, you didn't stay long enough!

Guest access
Full access to the house except the garages. The garage doors are not all operational and we would prefer you use the front entrance. If you have expensive bikes/gear you want to store overnight, it is fine to keep them in garage, but we prefer you do not park any vehicles inside. Any theft or damage to your property while being stored in our garage is not our responsibility. This is meant to be a courtesy to all our local gear heads who often ride bikes more expensive than their cars! :-)

Other things to note
Please be courteous to our neighbors, and please drive slow on the dirt roads. Wave as you pass. Be good neighbors.

In the colder months, sometimes snow/ice develops faster than our maintenance team can mitigate. Please be careful entering the house, sometimes ice develops under the snow at the walk leading from the parking spot up to the house entry door. We have salt and shovels and a maintenance teams doing their best to keep it clear, but it freeze/thaw can occur with Colorado’s sunny winter days melting snow briefly, then freezing shortly after! Please be cautious.

Our kids have asthma so we keep a strict NO SMOKING policy, that includes marijuana.

The space
The master suite includes a roomy Aspen log king bed and a bathroom with a lofted ceiling and views of Mt. Ouray in the distance.

A second over-sized bedroom adjoins the master upstairs and provides two twin beds and plenty of additional space.

The main level bedroom includes an Amish crafted log queen bed with an adjoining full bathroom.

For those mixing work with pleasure, the downstairs office is complete with a classic wood desk, futon and high speed WIFI.

The centerpiece of the dining area is the large live-edge dining room table, ideal for hosting family and friends. Seats 8.

New Italian leather sofas fill out the living room along with wood burning stove and 55” smart TV pre-wired with WIFI for streaming.

Make use of the fully equipped kitchen; cookware includes a full set of pots and pans, crockpot, roasting pan, and a stocked pantry.

Pools:
Our pools and hot tubs are open year-round and may operate on a rotating schedule, with one pool occasionally closed for maintenance. The pools and hot tubs are shared with other guests on the property. Like other hot springs in the area, we treat our geothermal-fed pools to maintain cleanliness and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests.

Check-In:
Upon arrival, please follow the signs directing you to the office. Our office hours vary depending on the season and occupancy, so if the office is unstaffed when you arrive, don’t worry! A check-in packet with all the information you’ll need will be waiting for you on a magnetic board outside the office.

Pets:
A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Dogs must be well-behaved, on a leash outside, and not allowed on furniture or bedding. Guests are responsible for reporting any damages caused by pets. An additional fee will apply for pet hair on furniture. Pets must be housebroken, not bathed in the unit, and all waste must be cleaned up promptly. Linens are not to be used for cleaning pets. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the property.

Pets must be disclosed at the time of booking. A $75 cleaning fee is applied.

Guests have access to all ranch amenities, including the geothermal-fed pools and hot springs, multi-use sports court, cornhole, horseshoes, communal fire pit, and hiking trails.

Welcome to the Kapple Kabin!

Our cabin is a special family place, and we’re excited to open it to the Airbnb community! Please note: the cabin is outdated compared to others on the ranch. Everything is clean and fully functional, but it’s not fashionable or newly renovated (Bathrooms have new shower/tub/sinks/toilets). We want to manage expectations upfront — the real beauty and adventure are found outside the cabin, and all are just steps away!

This cabin was part of our Grandpa Red’s vision. Instead of leaving a trust fund, he donated his estate to Young Life, except for this cabin, which has stayed in the family. Now, we’re sharing it with you — and every stay helps fund future updates! All proceeds go directly back into improving the cabin. So, every time you return, something will be better and new.

*We plan to add a stacked washer/dryer in the master bedroom, utility closet, or bonus/game room. Until then, guests must bring their own linens or pay a $50 linen service fee.

Located directly on the Deer Valley Hot Springs Resort, you’ll have access to two natural hot springs pools, a hot tub, and (coming soon!) exciting new waterslides. The resort also boasts a sport court with basketball, pickle-ball, and tennis.

Adventure is right outside your door—walk to trailheads, rock climbing spots, or a trout-stocked lake less than a quarter mile away. We're just a short drive to the headwaters of the Arkansas River, offering some of the best white-water rafting in the country, and close to premier 4x4 off-roading trails. For hiking enthusiasts, we’re near many of Colorado’s famous 14ers.

In the winter months, enjoy world-class skiing: Monarch Mountain is just 40 minutes away, Copper Mountain about an hour, and Crested Butte just under two hours.

Whether you're soaking in the hot springs, hitting the slopes, fishing, hiking, or just soaking up the fresh mountain air, our cabin is the perfect basecamp for your Colorado adventure.

The resort is under new ownership and the details are being worked out with shared use of resort amenities. For now the use of the hot spring pools, sport courts, and all common areas are open to guests. When the waterslides and new pools become available, there will most likely be an extra fee.

There are two kayaks for use on the east side of the cabin. Please put back when finished and put paddles back in the closet.

Fishing poles are available. Please return them the way you found them. No fishing license needed for 15 and under. Fishing license may be purchased online or in town at Walmart or true value hardware.

We have had a great relationship with the ranch since 1954 as my Grandfather helped make the original vision happen. Nevertheless, we are working on understanding the evolving relationship between cabin owners and Deer Valley ranch/resort. That being said, any changes/updates will be listed below. As mentioned elsewhere, please ask for updates B4 booking if you are concerned about possibly not having access to the ranch/resort amenities.

LATEST UPDATES:
*Guest WIFI barely reaches our cabin on the deck or dinning rm table. The best spots are near the office, lodge deck, or coffee shop (ask office or look at office for user and password).

*VISIT the deer valley ranch/hot springs in Nathrop Colorado website for latest availability and amenity updates, as there may be a fee to use amenities. Nevertheless, the Mt Princeton Hot Springs $7 a day per person for water sliding.

Other things to note
*Ask B4 booking to manage expectations about ranch/resort amenities being available or changing.

*Both bathrooms have new sink/toilet/shower/bath. Pictures coming soon (the pic shown is old, but all we have at the moment).

*The master bedroom has a queen bed and long couch. Plenty of room. The bonus room connects the master to walkthrough bathroom (not pictured).

*The futon couches in the living room can fold out, but they are not easy. It might be best to leave them positioned as couches instead of beds (prone to disconnect from sliding channel).

*There are discounts offered for horseback riding with Mt. Princeton Stables and Noah's Ark white water rafting (1/2 or Full day trips) when mentioning lodging at Deer Valley Ranch AKA Deer Valley Hot Springs.

*Jeep and ATV rentals are available in BV 15 minutes away. We have the best 4x4 trails in the country.

*When in a pinch (prices are double from in town), Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort has a general grocery and gas station .5 miles away.

Relax on the 1,000+ square feet of deck space and enjoy the gurgling music of Browns Creek in the valley.

The house was originally designed by a professional architect and finished by a designer. The soaring 15+ foot ceilings give an air of openness that is accentuated by the large, south-facing windows. You will enjoy the amazing views of the mountains and the valley below. All three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms boast private loft sitting rooms with amazing mountain views.

As a guest, you have access to the entire house. There is a one car garage, a very well-equipped kitchen with a double oven, and four bathrooms. There is also a music room with a piano, three televisions with Roku, and 12 acres to explore. We are dog friendly (if your dog is well trained) and there is a fenced area on the property.

The cabin is an amazing mountain home located on land in Chalk Creek Canyon near national forest, across from the wildlife viewing meadow, and 3 miles from Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. The cabin is located about 20 minutes from either Buena Vista or Salida.
Situated in the Heart of the Colorado Rockies between Mt. Princeton and Mt Antero, this property has some of the best views of the famous Chalk Cliffs.

The space
Fish, hike, four-wheel, explore, or just relax and sit outside on the porch and watch the wildlife (eagles, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, deer, elk and fox, maybe even an occasional moose or bobcat). The historical town of St. Elmo and miles and miles of 4x4 trails are just up the road.
There is plenty of parking for trailers and turning around at the property.
This mountain retreat can sleep up to 6. Make sure you verify all guests before your arrival. THE LOCATION
Located about 15-20 miles from Salida and Buena Vista, Colorado. Chalk Creek Canyon is the perfect home base for all of your Colorado adventures! In the warmer months go for a world-renowned white water rafting trip! There are zip lines, fly fishing, river and lake fishing, kayaking, bicycling, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, and hiking on scenic trails. The winter brings snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and fantastic skiing or snowboarding at Monarch Ski Resort - just 40 minutes away. For those that like the modern conveniences of home, we provide high speed WiFi, a flat screen TV and Blueray DVD player, and a Bluetooth stereo system. A wood burning pellet stove sits in the corner of the great room and provides plenty of warmth on cold winter days. The perfect accommodations for your reunion, retreat, girls weekend, couples getaway, or family vacation. We strive to offer superior accommodations to all our guests, therefore smoking and pets are not allowed.

And yes, that IS a disco ball hanging from the ceiling...we hope you use it!

The southern facing front deck, with comfortable patio furniture, is perfect for morning coffee, or you can sit in the backyard shade to enjoy the cool mountain air. A picnic table and a gas grill, along with an outdoor fire pit make the back yard area a perfect spot for evening meals. Please note that we adhere very strictly to the posted fire bans in the area. If fires are not permitted, you will be notified prior to check in. We provide a propane fire pit to our guests when there is a ban in effect. You will forfeit your deposit if you choose to ignore the fire bans. Ignoring the fire ban puts not only yourself at risk, but also the lives of our entire canyon community.

In the winter, we suggest driving a 4WD/AWD vehicle. Our county road is plowed, and with enough notice, our driveway will be plowed as well. But a 4WD/AWD vehicle will make it regardless.

Welcome to Alpine Cabin, a spacious cabin that sleeps up to eight, perfect for families or groups of friends. Unwind in the a hot spring-fed pool, soak in the hot tubs, or enjoy a game on the sport court. After a day of outdoor activities, gather around the cozy fireplace for a quiet evening. Alpine is also pet-friendly, so your furry companions can join in the fun!

The space
Alpine Cabin is 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The main bedroom offers a king bed and en suite bathroom. Bedroom 2 includes a double bed and bunk bed. Bedroom three has a queen bed.

-Chalk Cliffs: Discover the historic Chalk Cliffs, renowned for their striking, chalky texture and stunning views. These unique formations are created by mineral-rich waters from the surrounding hot springs. Enjoy easy access to the trail right on the property for access to the Chalk Cliffs.

Conveniently located in Nathrop, CO, between Buena Vista (20 minutes away) and Salida (30 minutes away), our cabin is the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the area. Enjoy nearby outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and skiing. Explore the nearby trails of Mount Princeton, one of Colorado’s iconic 14ers, just minutes from your doorstep.

Winter Access:
During the winter months, a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is required to access the cabins and lodge in the event of snow.

Please note that stairs are required to access the cabin.

Pools:
Our pool and hot tubs are open year-round and may operate on a rotating schedule, with one tub occasionally closed for maintenance. The pool and hot tubs are shared with other guests on the property. Like other hot springs in the area, we treat our geothermal-fed pools to maintain cleanliness and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests.

Check-In:
Upon arrival, please follow the signs directing you to the office. Our office hours vary depending on the season and occupancy, so if the office is unstaffed when you arrive, don’t worry! A check-in packet with all the information you’ll need will be waiting for you on a magnetic board outside the office.

Pets:
A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Dogs must be well-behaved, on a leash outside, and not allowed on furniture or bedding. Guests are responsible for reporting any damages caused by pets. An additional fee will apply for pet hair on furniture. Pets must be housebroken, not bathed in the unit, and all waste must be cleaned up promptly. Linens are not to be used for cleaning pets. Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the property.

Pets must be disclosed at the time of booking. A $75 cleaning fee is applied.

Guests have access to all ranch amenities, including the geothermal-fed pool and hot tubs, multi-use sports court, cornhole, horseshoes, communal fire pit, and hiking trails.
