Beautiful cabin retreat in Duck Creek Village. This gem has all of the comforts of home with the tranquility of whispering pines, deer sightings and small village hospitality. Remodeled within the last year, the cabin has the newest kitchen appliances, pellet stove fireplace, flooring, furniture, beds, and Smart tvs (no cable service but Netflix is available on all tvs). Kitchen is stocked full of pots, pans, bakeware, dinnerware, utensils, lots of small appliances, spices, oils, flour, sugar, coffee, refrigerator full of condiments---just about everything you need to make great meals during your stay. Linens and towels are provided. Washer, dryer and detergent provided. This truly is a perfect "homebase" for all of the day trips throughout the area. Only 45 minutes to great National Parks. Enjoy quiet mornings and evenings on the front open air deck or covered back deck. BBQ grill and fire pit also available. Head out for ATV trails, fishing, hiking, biking and the like. - "Beautiful cabin very comfortable" - "This cabin was beyond perfect for my family of 4. The whole house was well stocked!!! I didn’t realize both bedrooms were upstairs and the steps were small and tricky…. Not a problem at all! The host very responsive!!! I can completely understand why Amazon takes forever to deliver out there! (There is a sign on the road recommending 4x4 and I understand why). It is in the middle of no where but we loved it!!! It took us about an hour to get to Bryce and Zion both! But we were able to come in from a long day and cook some supper and relax!!! Washer/dryer luckily was full size even though this was my first experience with a front load machine!!! The coffee pot in the kitchen was extremely slow but eventually made my coffee!!! I did notice several spider webs in the downstairs bathroom but they were tiny spiders and the cabin is in the woods!!! So what do you expect!!! The dishwasher in the kitchen was broken so we had to wash all our dishes by hand…. That was a pain…. But she apologized about this and said a new one was coming next week! My only two issues were no light in the laundry room (it was obvious they were in the process of putting up a ceiling fan just hadn’t finished it yet). And also when I stripped the beds after my stay both of the queen beds had bad stains on the mattress pad. I messaged the hostess about it and she apologized again! Said they would definitely be changed. I did pull them off both beds!!! Overall it was a wonderful stay!!"

This quaint and cozy 900 square foot cedar log cabin located in Duck Creek Village, Utah sleeps six with one full bathroom and two bedrooms. It is located on a one-half acre view lot on a dead end road that has minimal traffic and lots of privacy. This interior of this cabin was completely remodeled in 2007 and the exterior in 2011 with a new deck and roof.

Located in Southern Utah, Duck Creek Village, fishing, hunting, ATVing fun, snowmobiling and horseback riding are just a few of the attractions.

Navajo Lake, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Brian Head Ski and Summer Resort, and Panguitch Lake are all within minutes of Duck Creek Village. Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park are each less than an hour away. Aspen Mirror Lake and Duck Creek Pond, popular fishing spots, are just a short drive from the cabin.

Our 1300 sq ft cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, with 1 king size bed (brand new high-end DreamCloud mattress- RARE in cabins) on the first floor and 2 queen size beds on the 2nd floor. Both bedrooms have wood blinds for restful sleep after a long day of adventures.

Fully equipped kitchen includes fridge, microwave, oven, water boiler, double toaster, coffee machine and sandwich press.

The comfortable sectional and reclining chair in the living room are complemented by battery operated candles (for your safety ; ) ) to provide a warm and cozy atmosphere. TV has Roku for guests to log in to their favorite apps (Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, etc). The living room is equipped with an easy to operate electric pellet stove.

Upstairs you will find a large bedroom with 2 queen beds and a loft area with a reading nook (or simply to relax) and a couch and foosball table for some fun times.

Outdoor fire pit with chairs is perfect for stargazing or simply enjoying a tranquil evening with your loved ones. LOCATION- Please note this is a standalone cabin in the woods, in the mountains- this is not a 5* resort complex with 24/7 assistance and service. Elevation of Duck Creek is about 8500' and all the roads to the cabins are dirt or gravel. In the winter time (November through April) 4 wheel drive is required in all areas. We suggest bringing snow chains just in case.

Main streets are plowed during the day but keep in mind if it snows you will be still driving on snow covered gravel roads and they may be slippery.
Please ensure you park your car to the left of the red shed so the snow plow company has full access in case we need to have them come and plow driveway. Snow removal on the deck, to and around your car can be booked with advance notice for additional fee.

Our NONSMOKING cabin is located on a large half acre site and comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests, with 1 king size bed (brand new high-end DreamCloud mattress- RARE in cabins) and 1 queen size bed (Sealy) on the 2nd floor.

Fully equipped & remodeled kitchen includes fridge, microwave, oven, water boiler, toaster, coffee machine, George Foreman grill and blender. We also have an array of spices that are provided.

The living room is set up with a comfortable couch and loveseat, complemented by hand chosen rustic and cozy decor. The pellet stove provides a warm and cozy atmosphere during chill nights.

Upstairs you will find a bedroom with 1 king bed and another bedroom with a queen bed. The king bedroom has an electric fireplace and the queen bedroom has adorable fairy lights.

Please note there is currently no outdoor fire pit due to extreme drought. Per fire department & sheriffs order there are absolutely NO outside fires allowed.
Outside you will find a beautiful large patio where you can enjoy some meals, relax or stargaze at night!
There is a charcoal grill onsite for your BBQ pleasure. (Please bring your own charcoal)

It is a convenient location for day trips to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. The town of Duck Creek itself is cute as well. (We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Sue’s Chalet.) Note that Duck Creek high in elevation— 8000+ feet— so take precautions to avoid altitude sickness if you are not accustomed to the elevation. That being said, out of my family of 4 Floridians, only my daughter had symptoms— probably from not drinking enough water. After a day of rest and a lot of Gatorade, she was fine. The owner, Julie, was great to work with and responded to all my questions practically immediately. If you visit in cold weather, take Julie’s advice to have a 4-wheel drive and snow titles seriously— you will need them! My kids loved sledding (sleds included at the cabin), and exploring nearby Mammoth Cave. Seeing the locals harvest their own Christmas trees from the snowy surrounding forest was special indeed, since we usually get ours from Costco!"

- "We had a slight problem finding the home but were able to contact someone who got back to us right away for all the small questions we had throughout our stay. The home was clean, enough towels for all of us and all of the kitchenware we needed. The large fireplace was great at night where the kids could roast marshmallows and hotdogs. There are also several lakes for fishing very close to the cabin, as well as many great hikes nearby. You will have all modern amenities, and your own unshared space with a large deck for relaxing and viewing wildlife. It is some of the most beautiful land on earth. It sits on half an acre of beautiful, tree covered land with a fire pit area for outdoor cooking and relaxing in the evening. The national forest land is one street over and offers great atv trails or hiking. Atvs are available for rent in the village 2 minutes away below the cabin.

2. Plan your travel wisely and avoid winter storms.
Once snow arrives:
• Highway 14 may have snow, and our gravel roads will be snowy. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is required, with chains recommended.
• Snow removal is prioritized, but please keep in mind that we contract with snowplow companies who only plow after 6” or more of snow for driveways, and they will prioritize guests who check in or check out first, followed by groups who are mid stay.
• Power outages are rare, but if they occur, contact management and we will provide an update on the situation promptly.
Keep in mind:
• Nighttime arrivals may find limited services, so plan accordingly.
• While we're a small village, we're here to ensure your winter adventure is memorable and safe.

Duck Creek Village is a quaint mountain town with many seasonal activities to enjoy. Come and rent an off highway vehicle (OHV) and explore the hundreds of miles of OHV trails in the area. The trails are also great mountain biking trails. Or, take a walk (you can also drive) down to nearby Aspen Mirror lake or Duck Creek pond for some relaxing freshwater fishing.

Located right off of UT-14, Duck Creek Village has several shops, restaurants, OHV “toy” rental locations, a gas station, and much more. If you happen to forget something for your trip, or just need some extra souvenirs, the local Cedar Mountain store has almost everything you could need.

Cedar Breaks NM, Bryce Canyon NP, Zion NP, and the Grand Canyon NP are all easy day trips that can be enjoyed while using the cabin as your base camp. Situated on the iconic Cedar Mountain that is home to Cedar Breaks National Monument, the location cannot be beat at any time of year. Less that 40 miles off of I-15, a stopover here is a great place to explore while you are heading to Las Vegas, NV or Salt Lake City, UT or anywhere in between.

About the Cabin:
The two upstairs bedrooms easily sleep six (4 adults and 2 children). A Cal-King bed is in the primary bedroom while a Queen sleigh bed is in the second bedroom. A rollaway twin bed is located upstairs as well as an inflatable mattress. In the main living area, a full sized log-frame futon bed can accommodate an additional two people (adults/children).

The covered front porch is the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the several nearby National Parks. A short hike down the street will allow you access to the the national forest and its streams, lakes, and trails.

Free high speed wi-fi is included in your stay as is a SmartTV loaded with free apps and plenty of internet television stations - or sign in with your favorite streaming account. Most cellular carriers have excellent service at the cabin (T-Mobile and AT&T seem to work better than Verizon Wireless).

The kitchen is stocked with all the appliances you could need for your stay. It includes a freestanding electric range, K-Cup coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, drip coffee maker, toaster, full-size refrigerator, and all the cutlery and dinnerware you will need. Grilling on the deck is also a great cooking option which is provided via a Weber propane grill.

There are two bathrooms at the cabin. Both boast a shower and the downstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combo.

Wood-burning fire restrictions are common on the mountain due to the extreme drought plaguing the SW USA. Please consult with the Cedar Mountain Fire Department prior to having a campfire.

- "This cute cozy cabin was perfect for our family of 6! They had 2 beds and the option of two more beds (a couch pull out and a sofa cot), so plenty of room for our young kids. Everything was clean and just as advertised." - "My wife and I spent 3 nights at the cabin. It was very clean and well appointed. The appliances, TV, plumbing, electrical, light bulbs, heat, etc. all worked as they should. We were very comfortable there. Both bedrooms are upstairs. We just used one of the bedrooms. One of the beds was too high off the floor for my wife, so we slept in the other room that looks out over the front yard. That bed is pretty soft; it's memory foam, I think. The area was very quiet, especially at night. The roads are dirt, but it was no big deal for our Honda Accord to make it up. Fortunately the weather was very nice and it was dry, so we didn't have to worry about a muddy road. I would definitely recommend this cabin. We hope to return one day."

-Keep the pit 15 feet away from anything that can burn.
-Clear 6 feet around the pit of anything that can catch fire.
-Always have someone 18 years or older watching the fire.

- "We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The owners are so kind, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care that you are having a nice time. The check-in and check-out lists were clear and helpful. The property is just stunning. There are deer and cattle on the property and there is a little pond in eyesight. The cabin was clean, and felt very homie. The beds were really comfy. The road coming in is not paved, and if you are using your WiFi for directions, you may want to take a picture of the map in case your signal comes and goes like mine. My RAV4 made the trip just fine, and the house does have internet. The location was centered almost equal distance from Bryce Canyon and Zion, which was perfect because we got to see them both on our trip. Navajo Lake is right around the corner, so there is a lot to do. Overall, we really enjoyed our break from the Vegas heat and hope to be back soon."

This custom, off-grid yurt is secluded in the mountains of Southern Utah just 25 miles above Zion National Park. Enjoy the natural beauty all around while nestled between the pine and aspen trees on a family owned ranch. Views of the pink cliffs and mountains from the deck are spectacular! The yurt was hand built by the owners, with much of the lumber sourced and milled right on the ranch, from trees that were killed by the pine beetle. It is completely off the utility grid and powered by the sun with a green energy solar system that allows for all the comforts of home.

Because of the cool days there is no need for air conditioning, On warmer days the yurt has screen doors and a dome that opens to allow heat to escape. ✔ Travel Information: The journey up Highway 14 from Cedar City is approximately 45 minutes. Drive carefully, watch for wildlife, and enjoy the scenic views. Our cabin is located at 8500 ft. elevation, and the roads to all cabins are dirt or gravel.

✔ Winter Travel: From November to April, a 4x4 vehicle or all-wheel drive with chains is mandatory. Download the Utah UDot app for live road conditions and use Wunderground for local weather updates (zip code 84762). Be prepared for snow-covered roads and potential power outages. We require chains and installing them at a safe flat area near the dumpsters before entering the neighborhood.

✔ Snow Removal: During winter, snow removal services will clear the driveway if there are 8 inches or more of snow. You are responsible for clearing snow from the deck and around your car. A shovel is provided.

✔ Power Outages: In the event of a power outage, the wood stove will be your only source of heat. Please bring your own firewood and fire starters as these are not supplied.

✔ Local Attractions: We are centrally located between Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, approximately 50 minutes from each. Cedar Breaks National Monument is a 25-minute drive. Enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, and more in the surrounding areas.

✔ ATV Community: Duck Creek Village is an ATV-friendly community. Expect to hear and see ATVs throughout the area.

✔ No Air Conditioning: Please note that our cabin does not have air conditioning. The mountain climate generally keeps the cabin cool, even in summer.
