There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the property. We highly recommend The Mill. Also, be sure to visit the winery. I live about 15 minutes from the property and will be available for any emergencies!

We invite you to fully unplug during your stay! There is no wifi on the property, however most major carriers have strong cell reception.

Water:

- The water comes straight from our well on sight and is safe to drink.

- The shower and hot running water are usable between April 15th - Late Fall. If your stay falls outside of these dates, there is a Planet Fitness 15 minutes from the property that does sell day passes.

It is a 700 sq ft loft apartment nestled on a 200 acre Lancaster County family farm. Offering a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and a spacious custom island. This country home is nestled in the heart of Amish Country in beautiful Southern lancaster county, Pennsylvania. The property is located in a farm setting on a quiet country road, excellent for walking/biking through some of lancaster county's most beautiful farmland. We are located within 20 minutes of most major area attractions, outlets,Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park, Sight and Sound Theatre. One hour from Hershey Pennsylvania. and Philadelphia.
10 min drive from here is wolfs hollow park great for hiking and walking, and moccasin Run golf course.

Our 1800's home features a fully stocked kitchen, living room, and dining room with small kitchette. The larger of its two bedrooms has two queen-sized beds. The smaller has a king size bed. we also have a futon available. We provide the linens and towels. 3 bathrooms one with clawfoot tub, the other 2 have showers.

For a quiet country getaway Miriam's Guest House is a great retreat for your family or small group. Layout of house was as described in listing but still a little awkward that both showers aren’t on the same floor with the bedrooms. Lancaster County is a very big county a total of 984 square miles. We are located on the southern end of the county and about 15 - 30 mins from all Lancaster attractions. If you need to be close by to a nearby town, venue or attraction please contact us and we can let you know the distance. We have 2 very nice parks and public swimming pool, all within walking distance.

Most local businesses are closed on Sundays, however there are still lots to do on a Sunday. visit lancasterpa - /attractions/open-sundays/

Parking and entrance to the cottage is in the rear. Please park in designated area away from the garage. The designated parking space can hold two small cars or one large vehicle, additional street parking is available if needed.

During your stay at our spacious collective/shabby chic theme cottage you can hear clapping of horses and buggy passing by. Coffee shops, antiques, ice cream, market, restaurants and more within walking distance or take the breathtaking back roads to all the local sights, theaters, restaurants, activities and much more that Lancaster has to offer.

The cottage/guest house is attached to the main farmhouse which was built in 1900.

Meet our pet mini pigs Angel and Lulu, they live with us in the main house and come out often, you are welcome to pet and feed them the treats we leave in the cottage for them, NO human food please and do not run up to them, as they may think you are a predator!

When you arrive you will find a loaf of homemade fresh bread, whoopie-pies, coffee/tea, eggs from nearby chickens. Enter our cottage through the spacious living room with 50 inch Smart TV, computer work area and fireplace, off to the left is an updated kitchen/dining room with new appliances, filtered clear mineral water dispenser and all amenities for a full service kitchen plus a first floor full bathroom with shower. Up the steps are two bedrooms, One has a queen size bed and one has a double/full bed (beds are memory foam). Our borough regulates stays for up to 4 adults not including children under 12 years old and two vehicles.

Please note - do not book for someone else. If you are booking, you must be staying also. Person booking must be at least 25 years old.

Meet our potbelly piglets Angel & Lulu, they are our pets and not farm animals, you are welcome to pet and love them like we do. Please DO NOT FEED THEM! We will have treats and instructions on how to feed them in the cottage. Do not run up to them, as they may think you are a predator! For the same reason we do not accept pets/dogs - they are potential predators to our piglets. Angel and Lulu live in our house and have access to the backyard at all times. When the weather is not to their liking, they use a litter box located in our laundry room. They love being warm and often will nap outside in very warm weather otherwise they are staying warm under many blankets inside the main house on a comfy bed.

We rescued a "Pomsky" puppy name Josie (JoJo) in December 2022, she is well trained and friendly and she will also have access to the backyard.

The space
Totally new and renovated in 2024, Tip of The Town property sits about 50 yards off a main (sometimes busy) road at the tip of the town. Just a quick drive OR walk to the town with two turns! There is a very large driveway that can accomodate boats/trailers. The Schlage keypad deadbolt lock ensures security and easy access for the guest. The comfortable and cozy home is exhibited with a upscale modern decor that will make you feel like you're walking right into a brand new model home.

The master bedroom is on the first floor, with attached office and full bathroom. The second floor features a bunk bed room (double and twin mattress) and additional queen bedroom, tempurpedic bed, with office space. There is another full bathroom on second floor.

There are two slider doors on the main level which lead to the large back deck. On the back deck is a patio set with umbrella to enjoy the weather. Check out our new Blackstone Grill! And if you happen to be driving an Electric Vehicle, we've got you covered- charger included.

Groceries are conveniently located in two places just about 2 miles away, Food Lion and Walmart. If you enjoy WaWa and Royal Farms, they are a stone's throw away. There are some great coffee shops around but we also have a drip coffee pot that can make pots or single cups!

North East is known for its many walkable restaurants and shops. I grew up in this town so feel free to ask for any recommendations- I have plenty!

Half acre property centrally located in the southern end of Lancaster County. Entertainment, good food, wineries, sights to see within minutes in all directions. Lancaster City to the north, Susquehanna River with hiking trails and beautiful views to the west, Maryland casino and Chesapeake Bay to the south, Chester County to the east. The area is endless in activity or just to relax on the back patio and watch the Amish neighbors at work in their fields. There is also a young Amish family who live directly next door to the home. Please be understand their traditions and privacy.

Two bedrooms, each with queen beds, plus a pull-out couch in the living room to sleep 6. One floor rancher with a lot of open space, recently renovated. Roku smart tv's in both bedrooms and living room. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. Sheets and bath towels provided. Paper towels, toilet paper, bath soaps and shampoo also provided. The fireplace is decorative and is non-wood burning. No smoking in home.

We have a pet friendly home, as we travel with our own fur babies. There will be an additional $50 added to the host fee if they are traveling with you. If you are traveling with a pet, please include this information in your booking details, select pet. By booking, you agree to the additional charge. Due to the limits of some larger aggressive breeds on our insurance policy, we cannot accept them.
We do ask if you need to leave your pet at the home they are crated.

- "My family of four including 2 children and our fur child stayed at the Scotland guest house for a couple of nights. The house was very clean, it has all necessary amenities and we liked that it not overcrowded with unnecessary items. The space outside is nice and location is amazing. It is in the Amish county but at the same time located close enough to restaurants, gas stations, pharmacy and market. Kim was very responsive and not overbearing. She gave us our space and privacy but was available when we needed her. We 100% recommend this property!!!"

The place is located in Conowingo/Port Deposit. It is 5 mins from the Conowingo Dam and the upper Susquehanna River which is famous for fishing, bird watching, and water activities. Visit the historic Port Deposit and Havre de Grace where excellent restaurants, shops, and beautiful views. The Great Wolf Lodge and Hollywood Casino are only 4 miles away. The area is also great for animal lovers, the Plumpton Zoo is 10 mins away and 20 mi. Fair Hill Equestrian center . Don't forget to visit the Amish farmer's market for fresh local produce.

The place is 45 mins from Baltimore, 20 mins DE, and 7 mins to PA line.

- "This was one of our best VRBO experiences to date. The house was so clean, the owners thought of everything to make the stay like you were at home. We loved that it was only two miles to the town of Port Deposit which was a really fun town with lots of restaurants and bars on the river. There were not many accomadation options in this part of Maryland and we picked the best one for sure!!!!!" - "You could immediately tell the hosts put a lot of thought into their space when it was created. Everything seamlessly flows together stylistically. The full kitchen has everything you need. Literally. There were plenty of extra bedding and linen and there were the little things that always make a guest smile: all toiletries if you forgot, full coffee and tea bar, and snacks. This is a weird detail, but I actually liked that the toilet and the shower were in different small rooms-super convenient when getting ready. There is not a tv in the bedrooms so heads-up to those who usually leave it on. The light controls are a little wonky, but there's directions and auto lights to help you out. These are more semamtics and not to detract from the space at all! Keep a close eye out for the sign to guide you in and be careful-its pretty tight getting back to the apt. There is a gravel driveway when you get there, just watch out for trees! We had such a pleasant stay at this space and if we were ever back this way, we would stay again. Thanks, hosts!"

This house is located in the heart of Amish country. Unique home with large deck with views of the 15 acre forest and the West branch of the Octoraro river. It is stocked with trout. You can walk for miles up and down the public access river. Very quiet property. The master bedroom is a must see. Bring the family and play in the river and nature.

- "The place was beautiful, inside and out. Our 3 year old son immediately claimed the chase in the master bedroom as his bed, so we didnt even need to bring in his cot! Close to attractions in lancaster but off on a beautiful private property. We were able to come back and enjoy a relaxing night as a family after long days, and spent some time outside on the deck admiring the view. And the outdoor cat was an added bonus we didnt expect. My son for sure misses him!"

Welcome to our luxurious 6-bedroom, 4.5-bath home nestled on 12 acres of woodlands with expansive farmland views.

The home features a heated pool, hot tub, sport court with full size pickleball court, golf driving net, bikes, and a gourmet kitchen. Inside, enjoy a sauna, home gym, steam shower, and a designated meeting area.

Relax by the fire pit or explore the stream and woodlands. A perfect destination to relax, work, and enjoy nature.

Our home is located down a lane that is approximately .5 miles long. Please excuse our neighbor-- he likes his treasure... and there is A LOT of it. Go right past all of that to the next drive on the right, head up the hill and escape to our home that is nestled on the hill with complete privacy!

You’ll have full access to the entire home! Here’s what to expect across each level:

Main Level:
This floor features the luxurious Master Suite, complete with an en-suite bathroom and laundry/closet space, steam shower, and propane fireplace. The gourmet chef’s kitchen and coffee bar are fully stocked with all the essentials to make your stay seamless. A half bath is conveniently located in the hallway for guest use. The spacious dining area includes seating for eight, a highchair, and a children’s table. You’ll also find a designated workspace, two cozy seating areas with plush couches and a TV, plus access to the garage and utility closet.

Upstairs Level:
This level includes four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and an additional full laundry room for your convenience.

Basement Level:
Enjoy a private bedroom, a full bathroom with a shower, a home gym, a recreation area, and a third laundry space. Relax and recharge in the sauna or unwind in the seating area just outside of it. This level also offers walk-out access to the pool area.

Outside: Get ready for some serious fun! You`ll find an in-ground pool with a hot tub and a splash-friendly children’s pool area, plus a fire pit perfect for cozy evenings. The pool area is fully gated for peace of mind. Inside, there`s plenty of seating to kick back and relax—and a slide that takes the fun up a notch! Just steps away is a full sport court with both basketball and pickleball, complete with everything you need to jump into a game. Take a moment to unwind on the bench, jump on the in-ground trampoline, or swing while soaking in the wide-open farmland views. Feel like practicing your short game? There`s even a putting green waiting for you if you’ve got your clubs handy! And with 12 acres of land to roam, there`s no shortage of space to explore and enjoy the great outdoors.

NOTE: The pool is not heated but can be for a fee. The pool is opened from April-November.

Please do not access our neighbors property. We want to respect their property and their rules. Their land is off limits and should not be accessed by anyone at any time. This means do not not walk down driveways, go through the woods to access, or drive down any lanes besides the main lane and our driveway.

The pool is now closed for the season until April 2026!
Please be mindful of our space and throw away all trash in the outside cans upon your departure. A large dumpster is available at the end of the driveway if the cans do become full during your stay with us.

NO PETS ALLOWED unless there is prior approval. If pets are present, you will be charged a $375.00 non refundable fee.

Please be sure to turn off all lights, appliances, or anything else you may have used during your stay upon your departure.

No smoking allowed in home whatsoever. If there is evidence of smoking in the home, you will be charged an additional $250.00 cleaning charge.

Please be courteous of our neighbors and respect their property. You may not access any other property but ours. Please do not walk down driveways of other homes or onto other homeowners properties.

- "This property has everything you need for a friends weekend. Pickelball, pool, basketball, even golf hitting net were all used by our group and we enjoyed the TV room and large outdoor space. Takes a little navigating to get there, but the directions were well done and communication with the owner was great. They were very responsive to all of our questions. Would highly recommend this place for groups."

The space
Disclaimers:
+ There is a beautiful stone home on the same property. Three lovely gentlemen (including my father) live there. They are very friendly and kind.
+ We did our best to seal the dome but there may be bugs because of the proximity to nature.
+ We have a compost toilet we will send videos and instruction on how to use. We ask you follow the direction perfectly for the best experience. It's not hard just different.
+ It can get very hot (summer) or cold (winter) in the dome because of the lack of insulation. Please prepare for this.
+ There is a main road about 1/2 a mile away which can cause some background noise during the night. We provide sleeping earplugs for those who prefer more quiet.
+ During the cold month of the year, we may need to turn the water off leading from the house. This will cause the shower to be unavailable. There will still be drinking water available from a water jug in the dome. We are working on a solution to the shower. Thanks!

The Dome is situated on Strawberry Hill overlooking the farm, which we're slowly transforming into an orchard and rewilding with native trees and wildflowers. See if you notice any wild flower patches or the beginnings of one. This property has a stone house on the same acre so it is private but the house is only 50 yards away.

Guest access
Strawberry Hill Dome, outdoor patio, outdoor bathroom are entirely private for you! You are welcome to explore the fields and gardens. Watch where you step! There are many things growing.

We have one king bed. For extra guests we'd recommend bringing an air mattress or sleeping pad. We have some extra linens as well, but not in every size.

PATIO WITH POOL
The sunny patio Outback has a private in ground heated pool with a large waterfall flowing into it.. The Patio has plenty of seating and is complete with a charcoal Grill, fire pit, Outdoor sofa and lounge chairs. Turn the lights on at the pool at night and sit along the bench seats in the pool and enjoy the beautiful night sky. We have beach towels for your use. Since this home is in the woods there is plenty of wildlife and bugs that we share the outdoors with. We have citronella candles and bugspray for your use.

MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. It has French doors that lead to the patio outback. Open the French doors and have pool access right from your bedroom. Fall asleep at night listening to the calming flowing waterfall right from your bedroom. There is a large smart tv in the master bedroom as well.

WRAP AROUND DECK
Enjoy a peaceful morning on the large wrap around deck that has stunning views of the creek and surrounding woods. The deck offers both a lounge and dining area.

CREEK
Only steps away from the yard, the property is surrounded by the Conowingo creek. Trout is stocked in this water every year. Spend the afternoon fishing or take a quiet walk and enjoy the nature and wildlife. You might even want to take a swim in the creek. The beautiful view of the creek really makes our home so unique.

LIVING ROOM
The living room has large windows offering a scenic view of the creek. A Comfortable couch to curl up and enjoy the electric fire place or a movie on the smart tv. A desk is also located in the living room for anyone who may be remotely working.

Kitchen
The kitchen offers even more stunning views with a sliding glass door and French doors that lead to the wrap around deck. It is fully stocked and has granite countertops, fridge with an ice maker/water dispenser, dining area for 6, and coffee maker.

ROOM #2
The second bedroom has a full bed and a bunk bed (twin) that has a pull out third twin trundle bed if needed. A game cabinet is filled with board games. Also a variety of toys and books for little ones.

BATHROOM
The rustic bathroom has a very large standing shower with a rainfall water head. A beautiful vanity and sink as well. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is provided.

LAUNDRY
We offer a laundry room that is outside in separate building.

INTERNET
We have wifi available, due to being in a wooded area; speed can sometimes be slower then usual.

SECURITY SYSTEM
To help keep our little ones safe, we have an alarm system that can be turned on if you would like to use it. If a child were to open a door or window that leads to the pool it will sound an alarm. Ask us for more details if you would like to use this features.

In an effort to keep the entire property more secure, we have installed security cameras on the EXTERIOR ONLY of the home.

GARAGE
The garage and upstairs apartment is not included in your stay. The apartment is empty and no one will be there during your stay.

ADDITIONAL GUEST
If you have more then 6 guest you may make a request. depending on your request we may approve an additional guest at an additional $50 a night fee.

Wednesday and Thursday our lawn care and pool company comes. They are in and out quickly and do their best to respect your privacy.

****Please note, you’re staying in a house that is located in the woods. There are MANY bugs. There is also leaves that are shedding in the fall and this can make keeping leaves out of the pool tricky. ***
Guest access
The guest has full access to the upper level of the house, creek, the pool, porch and yard. At this time the guest cannot access the basement or the garage.
Other things to note
We do not currently have a dishwasher. To make this more convenient for our guest, we have some paper products to offer during your stay (limited amount)

ENTRY
Your code will be provided after booking. Codes are changed after every guest.

Please request bedding for the pull out bed if it’s needed.

This is the ONLY 1st floor suite, renovated in 2021, by the young Amish owners. The entire building has AC and electric heat. The farmhouse shares the grounds with an equestrian riding academy. You are welcome and encouraged to watch the riders and horses. Feel free to inquire with the trainers about horseback riding lessons or rides.
Enjoy the 1+ mile of trails in the back of the property.
Please do not enter any barns or other buildings on the property without permission as it is a liability concern.

Located on a quiet backroad in Rising Sun. The road traffic tends to be minimal. We share this location with the Opening Number Riding Academy. Please feel free to watch the horse lessons and inquire about a riding lesson if you`re interested!

We are in a rural setting and traveling by car or bicycle is recommended. There is ample parking available on the property.

** Quiet time is 10PM. Please be mindful of other guests in the building trying to rest or sleep.

Located on a quiet backroad in Rising Sun. The road traffic tends to be minimal. We share this location with the Opening Number Riding Academy. Please feel free to watch the horse lessons and inquire about a riding lesson if you're interested!

We are in a rural setting and traveling by car or bicycle is recommended. There is ample parking available on the property.

** Quiet time is 10PM. Please be mindful of other guests in the building trying to rest or sleep.

[ 1 ] The occupancy limit for this property is the same number of guests as your reservation at all times. $50. Per person a day or Violation of this could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without refund. [ 2 ] No parties, No loud music, No boisterous behavior. [ 3 ] Renters will respect and follow all rules as outlined in the House Rules Section. [ 4 ] Renters agree to not contact Host until they have read the house Manuel. Will be sent 2 days before arrival. [ 5 ] Smoking is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate $500. fee. { 6 } Unless previously agreed upon Host , there is a $50.late checkout fee for the first hour and a rate of $100./ for each hour thereafter. [ 7 ] If by your Fault of breaking any house rules causes a scheming conflict with other guests, you may be charged the amount owing the discount or refund, per guest. [ 8 ] Repeated infractions of the house rules can result in dispatching of our security team for immediate eviction with no refund, this will result in a $500 Penalty additional to any applicable fees. [ 9 ] Any missing/damaging items guest are responsible to pay the cost. If any windows or doors are left open after the guest leaves there will be a 250$ charge.

Suite 1:
The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, functional fireplace, full bathroom with clawfoot tub, stand-up shower & double sink.

The second bedroom has bunk beds and its own separate full-sized bath. For even more sleeping space, the sofa converts to queen sized bed pullout.

The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, & a 2 burner flat top stove. It’s the perfect setup for making simple brunches or light dinners for larger groups. For seating, there is a kitchen counter with 3 seats, and a table with 6 chairs.

Suite 2:
Experience the bird`s eye view of an Amish farm and horse riding academy. This suite is on the 3rd floor of the historic building which was renovated in 2021, by a young Amish family. There are large dormers off the side of the apartment to catch sunlight or to watch the rising sun from.

The bedroom has a double bed and full bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig & a sink. There is a table with 4 chairs, and a convertible futon, as well as a sofa in the sitting area.

This home features a full kitchen, laundry area, sitting room with large smart TV. The outdoor space it huge with loads of room to walk the lined corn field yard or play Frisbee or have a nightly fire.

It's a perfect space for you and your spouse,a friends getaway or for a small young family. Sleeps 4. But Dinning area in kitchen is very small and only sits 2. the porch has a small table and 2 rocking chairs but also there are 2 folding chairs in living room closet if you need them.

Other things to note
We have farm cats n a dog who may try to slip inside. Please make sure to shut door behind you as no pets are allowed in Airbnb. We also have some other friendly farm animals in the meadows you may feel free to pet and introduce yourself to. They love all kinds of attention & affection. They love leftover goodies too. We have lots of goats, Clancy, the donkey,Dusty, the horse,and a handful of chickens.Sometimes the electric wire on in between the boards so please use caution.

You will have full access to the home (aside from a few restricted areas which are clearly marked). Here is a quick overview of the house layout!

Main Level:
Enter the home through the garage into a fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the backyard—perfect for easy indoor-outdoor flow. This level also features a dining area, a cozy living room, a full bathroom, and a bedroom with access to the front porch!

Upstairs:
The master suite offers a private retreat with an ensuite bathroom and a balcony—ideal for sipping your morning coffee. You’ll also find two additional bedrooms and another full bathroom on this level.

Basement:
Enjoy a dedicated laundry area, a ping pong table, and open space perfect for board games or family fun.

Outside:

Front Door Lock Instructions: (leading to front porch)

For locking and unlocking the front door leading to the porch perform the following: 1. While lifting up firmly on the handle press in on the upper right hand part of the door to help the hooks engage. 2. Lift until the hooks are fully engaged and the handle stops going up. 3. The lock knob will be able to be turned once the handle is lifted and the hooks are engaged. The reverse steps are used to unlock the door.
