The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen and adjacent dining table, plus an open-concept living area with a wood-burning brick fireplace and game table. There is also a separate den with a sofa, recliner, and TV. For summer and fall visits, there is a back deck complete with a gas grill.

The only downside is some of the nights we would hear a loud noise in the walls, I’m not sure if it came from the water heater, furnace or what exactly it was. It wouldn’t make me not stay there again, but I will admit it was a little annoying. I never mentioned anything to the property manager about it."

- "I loved everything about this house - the layout, the space, the history, the location. I booked this house almost a year ago as a birthday present to myself for my 60th birthday in June. My husband, son and his wife, and precious 5-year old granddaughter were able to join us, and my birthday was just about everything I could have hoped for. The house itself was perfect for us - space to spread out, a fully equipped kitchen for cooking, a long dining table to enjoy meals together, two separate living areas, and a lovely backyard for birdwatching and listening to the rush of the Black River below. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms spacious. We appreciated the laundry room, since we were at the house for a week. We also waded in the bracing waters of the river's edge just below the bridge several times and admired the beautiful river rocks. Perkinsville is within easy driving distance of so many places to explore. We drove all over Vermont, from Windsor to Rutland, and Burlington to Brattleboro, but concentrated mostly on the Windsor County area. We went to Bookstock in Woodstock, the strawberry festival at Wellwood Orchards, learned about maple syrup production at Sugarbush Farms, toured several old houses, had fabulous meals and drinks, including an excellent dinner at the Weatherfield Inn for my birthday, and hunted down every independent bookstore we could find. We even saw a bear from a safe distance in a cemetery. It was the trip of a lifetime."

Surrounded by forest and distant from neighbors, this is the perfect spot for a small family/couple looking to enjoy the skiing and other winter adventures in Vermont. The best and least crowded dining in the area is only 10 min away - Murdoch's, yum! AND Okemo is just a 15 minute ride! Enjoy the light pollution free space with the most amazing light show nature has to offer and get away from the tourists to live like a local.

The house has been recently renovated and includes custom kitchen cabinetry, beautiful matching backsplashes in the kitchen & bathroom, all new appliances. Kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils, pots & pans, brand new toaster, coffee maker and tea kettle. The bedroom has a Twin XL over Queen custom bunk bed (the kids will love cuddling in the top bunk, parents will appreciate the accessible safe stairs on the side of the beds!) and in the morning wake up to blankets of fresh snow just outside your window. There is a sofa bed in the living area, a lift top coffee table, and a cozy game & puzzle space with a 43" ROKU t.v. and a vinyl record player with albums. Out back there is a picnic table as well as a fire-pit for post adventure s'mores and warming up toes! There is also a sled and a nice hill for the kids to use before the ski trip!

Solar panels and heat pump provide protection from Winter Storm power outages.

This new renovated property is one half of a duplex located just off a main road. It is on city power and water so it rarely is without electricty and is easy to get to. Each unit entered from different sides of the property (front and back) so there is plenty of privacy and parking.

Long lasting Sunsets are what this cabin is all about. As well as swimming in the pond and nearby brook. Hiking mt. ascutney trail head is across the street. Nap on the back deck with beautiful views or shop in Woodstock quiche area approx .15 away. This is a relaxing place. You.'ll just sink into the earth. Enjoy the beauty and feel better.

Your own oasis on the outskirts of a VT town. Surrounded by nature trails & forests with plenty of outdoor activities. Short drive away from Mt. Ascutney, Okemo, historic landmarks, and shopping across the NH border.

The space
Completely renovated & modernized bed & breakfast launched in Jan '24!

We have a paved parking lot on site, and direct access from a paved state highway.

Tenant area has a separate entrance. There is one room on the first floor and three on the second. All rooms have their own modern private bathrooms with showers.

There is a shared kitchenette on the second floor, with a coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, toaster, and coffee/tea.

Heating is centralized oil and the rooms get very warm. There are thermostats that can be adjusted if you need more heat.

Area has decent cell phone reception for Verizon and T-Mobile.

We are working on getting 8gbit fiber optic internet with universal wifi 7 in March '24! Until then, we have fast cable internet, but reception is not great in some rooms and it would not be ideal for things like teleconferences.

The tenant area is separate from the living area of the house, and you will have all the privacy you need! The hosts live in the other part of the house, and you can always give them a shout if you need anything.

Close to Okemo, The Loft at Weathersfield, is just 1/2 hour south of Woodstock / Hanover area and 22 minutes from Okemo Mountain. The Loft, is located in a private agricultural setting with easy access to Vermont's best biking, hiking, fly fishing, skiing, and many equine trails. The loft is 900 square feet with a kitchen/dining room, living room, full bath, one bedroom with a queen bed and one twin bed. There is a spacious deck off the kitchen and a car port underneath.

Welcome to our dreamy little A-frame, tucked away on over 3 private wooded acres—a true Vermont escape where the only sounds you’ll hear are the wind through the trees and the birds in the morning.

Inside, sunlight pours through the windows, creating a warm, inviting glow throughout the day. The open living space is perfect for cozy mornings or winding down after a hike, complete with a new pellet stove that adds just the right amount of cabin charm. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher—whether you're cooking a full meal or just heating up local maple syrup for pancakes.

The downstairs bedroom offers a double bed and twin bed—perfect for kids or an extra-comfy spot for couples. The main floor also features a full bath with a standing shower, stocked with fluffy towels and travel-friendly toiletries.

Upstairs, you'll find a peaceful loft with a queen bed and convenient half bath. Both sleeping spaces include storage and extra blankets for those cooler Vermont nights. There are also fans for cooling when it gets warm.

We’re proud to be a kid- and dog-friendly cabin. We provide a basket of toys, board games, and a booster seat to make family meals easier. For your furry friends, you'll find a water and food bowl ready in the laundry room, plus a fully fenced backyard to keep them safe while you relax.

Comfortable, stylish, clean cabin. We love our cozy "chalet" in every season, and we are now ready to share our 11 acres with our guests! We just upgraded many of the appliances, beds, furnishings, and added an EV charger! Weathersfield is in the center of it all...just south of Woodstock/Quechee, east of Ludlow/Okemo, and north of Chester and Vermont Country store. We have 11 acres with the house on top of the hill. Most of the property is walkable, but we plan to add some hiking trails! Pond at the bottom of the hill and great views!

The whole house is yours! The unfinished basement is for the utilities and we have this door locked, so there is no access to this area at this time.

Other things to note
There is wildlife in the area, lots of deer and small animals. We do not recommend keeping food in your car overnight and please do not leave any food or trash outside overnight or unattended as this could attract unwanted guests! The terrain is steep in parts so use good judgement and caution.

The space
Nestled in the foothills of Vermont's impressive Green Mountains lies the “Big Sky” property. The land was bought in 2001 by Stephen and Ellen Russell and the house was built over the following ten years. The house was finally completed in December of 2011. The house is on 30 acres, on which there are about a mile of walking trails. On the property, you feel like you are in a world of your own; the house is truly close to nature, set in a clearing surrounded by forest.

Guests enter on the ground floor and are met by a renovated garage "game room" with pull-out queen bed, full bath, and steps ascending to the second floor. At the top of the two-rise staircase is the living room, complete with two sofas, chairs, picture windows, and a stone fireplace. The adjoining kitchen has a microwave, oven, dishwasher, breakfast bar, and dining room table. Two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and one with queen and single) and a full bathroom are on the second floor. A spiral staircase leads to a loft with two single beds. The house features a wraparound porch on the ground floor and a large rear-facing patio on the second floor. A fire pit is adjacent to the house, and a outdoor shower is below the patio.

- There are exterior security cameras that monitor the outside of the house for safety reasons when no one is there. These do not see inside.
- A car is required to access the house. We can accommodate up to 6 cars.
- We strongly recommend 4-wheel drive in the winter months. The driveway is maintained (plowed and sanded) after snowfall but it does have a short semi-steep approach once you turn off road.
Just to note, the house does not have air conditioning; central or otherwise.

LIVING AREA: There is plenty of room for everybody on the giant sectional sofa (a guest favorite!) Curl up and watch a movie on Netflix, Max, or Hulu, play a game, or just catch up and chat.

We have lots of books, games, and puzzles for you to enjoy during your stay, along a reading nook if you need a quiet moment to yourself.

KITCHEN: Our eat-in kitchen has everything you need to cook for a crowd -- from gadgets to pantry essentials -- and pretty blue dishes to make everyday meals feel special.

BEDROOMS: Weatherwood Cabin sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms: a king, a queen, a full, and a kids’ bedroom with twin bunk beds and an additional twin bed. For maximum comfort, we recommend no more than 6 adults.

The bedrooms have beautiful wooden floors and walls, with lots of natural light. Brand new beds and linens all but guarantee a good night’s sleep. All bedrooms are on the second floor.

BATHROOMS: The upstairs bathroom was recently remodeled and includes a tub and a shower. There is also a powder room downstairs off of the kitchen.

OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Our large backyard has something for everyone!

Fire up the grill and enjoy al fresco meals on the back patio, with seating for 6.

After dinner, spend the evening stargazing in our Adirondack chairs with a cold drink in hand and a warm fire in the Solo stove.

Kids will enjoy running around the lawn and playing on their own private play set.

KIDS: The kids play area has books, games, and a floor mat for our youngest guests. Located just off of the kitchen, it’s easy for parents to keep an eye on little ones while cooking or eating dinner. There is also a play structure out front.

PETS: Dogs are welcome at Weatherwood Cabin. One dog, maximum of 50 lbs. (Message us for special approval if your pet exceeds this limit.)

WiFI: The cabin is equipped with high-speed internet. Cell service can be spotty on the property but once you’re on the WiFi you can make calls.

AIR CONDITIONER: There are window A/C units in the living room and the king, queen, and full bedrooms. (The bunk room does not have A/C.)

VEHICLE ACCESS: The driveway is u-shaped and leads to two parking spaces. The driveway could accommodate two additional cars if needed. Please note that a short section of road leading to the house is dirt/gravel on a slight incline. The road and driveway are plowed in the wintertime.

Please note that the fireplace and sauna are not available for guest use.

Let yourself in using the keypad. Once you're inside, the whole house is yours! The only exception is the sauna, which is in an outbuilding and will be locked during your stay.
