This home is spacious and comfortable for a group of 6 or a weekend getaway for just the 2 of you. Nice back back deck and patio overlooking into the woods. Great for smores or just hanging with friends around the fire. Aurora is a quaint little town with lots of hometown shops & also has lots of food and entertainment as well- only a 3-5 minute drive to town. Lawrenceburg is about 5 minutes down the road- where skiing- boating- Casinos & bars. Lots for kids as well.

This brand-new, downtown river retreat is only steps away from great shops and restaurants, the Hollywood Casino and the Lawrenceburg Event Center. This private, two bedroom/1 bathroom unit is the perfect home away from home and sleeps 6. 2 bedrooms are identical in setup, including queen sized beds, luggage racks and a space to hang clothes. There is a pull out couch in the living room with linens. Outside of the unit is a nice sitting area with a table for four with an umbrella. Across the street is a green space/dog area with bags and garbage cans for dog waste.
For your winter getaway, we are only 4 miles from Perfect North Slopes. For warmer weather trips, bring your bike or rent one near the Event Center. Lawrenceburg has a beautiful bike /walking path that guides you along the Ohio river in to historic Aurora, Indiana. The river views from the levy are breathtaking and a perfect place to relax and slow down a bit.
Summertime is buzzing at our Civic Park with Tuesday night movies, Thursday night live music, Yoga and the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning. You are also near the Creation Museum, CVG airport and downtown Cincinnati. Wintertime is a winter wonderland with warming igloos and an abundance of white lights, lighted arches and reindeer.
Food options are plentiful ranging from Italian, brick oven pizza, American fare, sports bars, markets and coffee shops, all within walking distance.
To note, this unit has steps and is not handicap accessible. There is moderate street noise and the occasional train can be heard traveling through town. There are fans in each room that help to lessen those noises. Free public parking in Ivy Tech garage behind property.

The pull out couch sleeps 2, for a total of 6 people BUT keep in mind, the couch is really only suitable for kids. So just a warning- Adults will not be comfortable.

Please be aware that we use cistern water. We do not drink the cistern water unless we filter it first. We do have a filtered pitcher in the fridge . We use it for cooking and coffee, but we will provide a case of bottled water for drinking as well.

The home is wheelchair accessible, due to larger doors going into home and through out. There are no steps.

Easy access to I-275 at exit 11 and about 40 min. to Ark Encounter. For winter fun, Perfect North Slopes is only 15 minutes down the road. Downtown Cincinnati - 30 min.; Dayton, OH, Lexington, KY, and Louisville, KY - All approx. 1.5 hour drive.

The space
The guest house actually started as the garage for the main farm house, which was built in 1959. At some point last century the garage was added on to and converted to a second home on the property. Both homes have been remodeled over the last 14 years. Since acquiring the property in 2019, Jeff and Tammy have made extensive improvements, especially to the guest house. It has a comfy "farmhouse" feel with lots of natural light, away from the hustle and bustle but still very accessible.

Guests have access to the whole house, all to themselves. This is not the typical bed and breakfast set up, it's a guest house beside the main house with shared parking, and breakfast is delivered to the kitchen of the guest house each morning. The guest house has three bedrooms, a living room, one bathroom, and a full kitchen.

Other things to note
A fire extinguisher and a first aid kit are located in the linen closet in the hallway next to the bathroom. Also, a broom and dust pan, vacuum cleaner and extra towels are in that location.
