Our log cabin was completed in July of 2010 on 7.5 acres we fell in love with the first time we saw the property in March of 2009. Call 812-726-4849, check out our website turkeyhillcabinrentals. This part of southern Indiana is so unique. The view reminds us of our many trips to eastern TN. We never get tired of seeing wild turkeys and white-tailed deer walking across the front yard. Since we are a mile off the main road and at the end of the lane, no traffic passes by. Couples and families have enjoyed our cabin. With solid log construction and wood through-out, this cabin is set apart from others.

We are pet friendly! The neighbor has a coon dog he keeps put up when our home is rented but she occasionally visits. She is friendly and answers to Lady. Please don't leave personal items unattended outdoors in case she mistakes them for a toy.

There were butterflies, a hummingbird, tons of birds and a chipmunk. The kids loved the playroom. We played bumper pool, darts and they enjoyed watching TV in there. In the living room we found Yarzee and played a round. The queen size bed was so comfy. The laundry came in handy so we didn't have to bring as many clothes. We sat on the porch every morning looking at the river. In the evenings the lightning bugs were the most amazing sight I have ever seen. Located 5 miles from French Lick where you can enjoy shopping, the casino, train museum, water park or winery to name a few. Enjoy Patoka lake in the Summer and Paoli peaks for some skiing in the Winter.

A few things to note - given the remote nature of this property, there is not currently internet in the area. We are on the waitlist for Starlink and hope to have it soon. Cell service can be spotty in the cabin but I usually have 1-2 bars that is good enough for texts and calls. Other phone usage can be limited. There is one large hill on the gravel county road leading back to the cabin. I take my Ford Fusion Hybrid back there all the time so access isn’t an issue outside of heavy snow conditions (4x4 recommended then) but want guests to be aware of the terrain.

Located on 13 picturesque acres makes you feel like you’re at home away from home all while being a very short distance to all that French Lick, West Baden and Patoka Lake have to offer. This cabin is only 1 mile from downtown French Lick and is very easy to access. We are pet friendly and have plenty of property for nice walks in nature. There is also enough parking space to bring your boat along. Our fast wifi makes it great for those working remote as well as for additional entertainment when your busy day of tourism comes to and end. We have a great fire pit with a beautiful seating area as well. With comfortable beds, a coffee bar and ease of access, we are sure you will enjoy your stay!

Bird’s Eye View was built in 1915 during the era where two major resort hotels were undergoing rebuild and expansion projects. Nestled atop S. Virginia Avenue, Bird’s Eye View offers just that, a splendid view of French Lick Resort. We encourage you to take a peek at some of the coffee table books describing the rich history of the region. The owned and adjoining wooded property provides a retreat with local wildlife including chipmunks, squirrels. deer, a wide variety of birds, including cardinals, blue birds, robins, hummingbirds and owls.

Our family fell in love with this cottage the moment we saw the front porch, which happens to be our favorite room. We took pride in the renovation projects with the property including restoring the hardwood floors in the bedrooms (under four layers of carpet and glued pads) and stripping multiple layers of paint from the mantle. We left the original oil pane windows intact in the living room and front bedroom. They add a historic feature and decorative aspect to the home. ** Please note, due to the steep incline of the street and the distance between the back driveway and side door, this property may not be suitable for individuals who require assistive devices for walking or have difficulty with balance.

Step inside, and you'll find an open-concept layout with a fully equipped galley kitchen to your left, stocked with all the essentials. (Electric Stove, Range, Microwave, Fridge, and Dishwasher. To the back left, you'll discover a custom-built bunkhouse bedroom with two queen beds on the bottom and two twin beds on top—perfect for families or groups. This room also features its own HD Smart TV for added convenience. Straight ahead, the dining area comfortably seats six, with a door leading out to the backyard. Adjacent to the dining area is a full bathroom featuring a stand-up shower, vanity, and toilet.

On the right, unwind in the living room, where a linear electric fireplace and HD Smart TV are surrounded by a love seat and two single chairs, ideal for relaxation. Just beyond, step down into the master bedroom, where large windows offer unobstructed views of the natural beauty outside. The master suite also features its own HD Smart TV, ensuring entertainment at your fingertips. The master bathroom is just up a small step and includes a spacious shower, vanity, and toilet. The space
Tucked away just off the highway, you'll drive down a secluded rock driveway that leads to a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature. As you approach the house, you'll be greeted by a cozy fire pit with seating, a serene wooded area on one side, and a beautifully remodeled modern minimalist home on the other. The home features two covered porches and a private hot tub with a roof, offering a peaceful view of the surrounding woods.

Step inside, and you'll find an open-concept layout with a fully equipped galley kitchen to your left, stocked with all the essentials. (Electric Stove, Range, Microwave, Fridge, and Dishwasher. To the back left, you'll discover a custom-built bunkhouse bedroom with two queen beds on the bottom and two twin beds on top—perfect for families or groups. This room also features its own HD Smart TV for added convenience. Straight ahead, the dining area comfortably seats six, with a door leading out to the backyard. Adjacent to the dining area is a full bathroom featuring a stand-up shower, vanity, and toilet.

On the right, unwind in the living room, where a linear electric fireplace and HD Smart TV are surrounded by a love seat and two single chairs, ideal for relaxation. Just beyond, step down into the master bedroom, where large windows offer unobstructed views of the natural beauty outside. The master suite also features its own HD Smart TV, ensuring entertainment at your fingertips. The master bathroom is just up a small step and includes a spacious shower, vanity, and toilet. For an even more tranquil experience, you can step out from the master onto your private porch with the hot tub.

Throughout the home, expansive glass windows allow for abundant natural light and stunning views of the trees and wildlife.

You will access the property by driving down a long gravel drive into a wooded area. From there you can park to the left of the house, in front of the detached garage. Follow the stone walkway to the front door where you will enter. ***Note: There are a few steps down into the master bedroom and steps back up into the master bathroom.
